Just a small note: This takes place after Rhonda Goes Broke, where the Lloyd's lose all their stock money and become poor. If it is a little confusing, you can re-watch it on Youtube for context.

Challenge 27: Contradictions
A bell began to ring, announcing to P.S 118 students that the Monday school schedule was in session. Rhonda Lloyd took her place just as her friend, Nadine, entered the room. Nadine began walking to her desk, then struck a pose toward Rhonda to show off her new shoes. Rhonda gasped in delight.
"Gosh Nadine, those shoes are fabulous! Wherever did you get them?"
Nadine sat down in her desk, keeping her feet from underneath it so her friend could admire them.
"I used my allowance to get them. I figured I could expand my clothing selection a little, plus my other shoes could be used for other purposes."
"Well, it's a start," thought Rhonda to herself. She knew the reason Nadine got new shoes was probably to impress her, which did indeed work, but maybe she shouldn't have pressured her to do that. She had to remind herself that not everyone is as rich as she was. She pulled out her bag and checked her money. After confirming the amount she had, Rhonda turned back to Nadine as Mr. Simmons walked in the class.
"Hello class," started a cheery Mr. Simmons.
"Hello Mr. Simmons," replied the class in unison.
Rhonda wrote down a note, barely paying attention to what 'special' lesson Mr. Simmons had planned for the day. She slowly passed it to Nadine, whom took the note and read it inconspicuously. She gasped just a little too loudly, causing Iggy to shush her. Nadine turned to Rhonda, grinning from ear to ear, and nodded vigorously. Rhonda smiled back at her, turning her attention back to Mr. Simmons lesson.
Later in the day, Nadine and Rhonda were riding the bus to Rhonda's house. Rhonda was going to take the evening and get Nadine a whole new outfit, shoes included, all on her.
"Are you sure you're willing to do this Rhonda? I know since you were recently..."
Rhonda cut her off. "Please," she pleaded, "don't say it." Nadine stopped.
"It's really no trouble. My father is confident we will continue to be wealthy, and you are my best friend. I felt troubled for making you get accessories just because of a comment I made, so I feel I should make it right."
Nadine grew quiet, "If you say so then Rhonda. I truly appreciate this though."
"Please darling. Don't worry about it. All you have to worry about is if the car will fit your new wardrobe." Rhonda giggled, then opened her front door.
Nadine smiled at Rhonda's joke, then followed her inside. She believed that being poor for a while really helped Rhonda, and now she seems a bit more generous. Nadine was hoping she wouldn't have a WHOLE new line of clothing, as she liked her clothes just fine. She'd make sure to tell Rhonda later.
