Overview of chapter: Gine shows more of her maternal side, Krillin and Jackie Chun fight and of course you all know the outcome, you'll learn more about Gine's past and be introduced to some new saiyans, along with one you might not have predicted would have been involved in her earlier life.

A/N: Saiyan names will still have the vegetable pun names (Japanese not English). From now on I'll only be answering Guest review questions here and PM everyone else who has any questions.

Freedomzero: Awesome questions, too bad I'm not answering them. What's the fun of revealing the answers?

Guest 1: YES! And Mr. Popo has to be the creepiest (Yet still funny) character the parody has.

Deflow: No, she had hers the entire time.

fangs of death: Same villains, more villains, an extra arc, GT changed, and some events altered, etc.

Visitor: Please do, and are you just eager to see more saiyans? =P

Guest 5: Lo he pensado sobre sus reunión y estoy segura de que será algo prácticamente nadie podría haber predicho. Yo hablo español, pero mi escritura no es el mejor, y si alguien ofrezca a beta en español seré feliz para postala. (I really am not the best at writing Spanish but speaking it is easier)

Guest 7: You'll have to read it when the chapter comes out.

Thanks to everyone reviewing! It really is a pleasure to be writing this story and hearing everyone's thoughts ^^

Chapter 13:

Krillin vs. Jackie Chun

"Son Goku has won!" Mr. Alonsa screams to the microphone. "Despite his tiny body, he possesses unbelievable strength!" He turns his attention to Nam, who was getting back on his feet up on the stage. "Nam, after suffering a painful defeat, must truly be feeling ashamed! But he still displayed some excellent moves in that battle!"

The Buddhist, although saddened at the loss, still offered his congratulations to the young winner. He shook Goku's hand before departing to the back of the stage; he still needed to think of a way to save his people, even if he had lost.

Goku thanked the older male for the battle. He loved every second of it!

The mother in the back, moved away from the wall to see her son's defeated opponent. She couldn't help but feel that the match he lost was troubling him more than it should. Surely having the title wasn't that important was it? Perhaps it was nothing, but she just had to make sure.

Nam sat on one of the benches inside the building for the finalists. He had his head in his hands. Forgive me. He thought of the words over and over again, even whispering them a few times. It was his duty to ensure the safety of the villagers and he has failed them. The fear of returning without any money, food, and especially water was evident in his mind. They would all die, if he couldn't find a way to take care of them.

Gine peeked inside the building and she didn't see anyone but Nam inside. The others were all outside. She bit her lip as she saw the young man muttering to himself, he kept apologizing, never mentioning to who but it seems that whoever he apologized to was troubling him. She knew she shouldn't be intruding in this private moment however the sorrow in his voice was something she couldn't avoid. Slowly she glided over to the distressed man until she was right behind him.

Feeling a presence, Nam raised his head, not bothering to turn around. He shouldn't let anyone see him like this. It was unacceptable for anyone to see him like this.

She didn't know this and asks, "Why are you so sad?"

Her voice sounded curious and innocent, it didn't sound smug, rude, or mistrusting. She had an aura much like a child would. It was practically the same as her son's, but hers held years of guidance, experience, and something else he couldn't place. He shouldn't pull her into his problems, but it wasn't like him to lie either. "I am disappointed at my loss…your son fought well and deserved to go onto the semi finals."

Gine could tell there was something else bothering him. She knew it because he refuses to meet her eyes, he spoke as if thinking of his wording, and his body went on guarded mode.

Letting out a sigh, she clasped her hands behind her back and leaned forward "Disappointment and sadness isn't the same thing." Her eyes narrowed and she pouted at him.

"It isn't?" He asks slouching on the bench. Nam wanted alone time but he didn't want to seem rude and told her to leave.

Shaking her head, she waves her right index finger in a similar fashion. "Disappointment is the feeling of failure, but with hope around the corner. Sadness is the feeling of no hope."

Nam didn't bother to answer, in a way she was right. There was nearly no hope for his family and friends now. Death would be knocking his way to each of their doors soon.

Gine frowned at his lack of response. He seemed very put down and it bothered her how much someone could look so defeated. She wishes there was a way for her to make him smile, but it seems he didn't want to talk.

They stayed silent for another minute, one not knowing what to say and the other kept to his own thoughts. It seems like neither was about to speak but the silence was broken by Yamcha who came in calling for Gine. "Hey Gine the announcer guy is looking for you!"

Standing upright she started to follow Yamcha but stopped, peering over at the Indian warrior. "You know you can always talk to me."

Nam watched as she left with the teen back to the arena. He thought about what she said and almost wanted to ask but refrained and pushed his thoughts away. She sounded sensible and might even consider helping him, though he was sure even she had her own plans for the prize money.

_ (-V-) _

"Well that was interesting." Yamcha told his friends as they came back from being interviewed. He gave them a side glance of amusement, though his attention was currently at Jackie Chun who was about to face off with Krillin.

Gine nodded to him, holding her head from the dizziness she felt. Her son was just laughing beside her, holding his side, and using her to support his weight.

He laughed from the silliness the crowd exposed to them, he chuckled at their friends reactions when they heard their ages, and he giggled at the song and dance Jackie Chun shared with him and his mom!

The wooziness had finally subsided and her eyes focused onto her son and ex-competitors. She stood straighter, smiling at them. "That was really fun!" It was unexpected for him to start singing in front of everyone and even more to start dancing, pulling her on his right with Goku on his left, but the fun of behaving without a care was gaiety!

"GYAAHHH!"

Their giggles were cut short by the sound of their friend's yell. Gine quickly looked over to the match, where she was just about able to witness Krillin slamming onto the wall.

Each one of their expressions revealed surprise that their fellow companion was actually hit by his opponent.

"…Th…that punch…I couldn't s…see it at all…" Krillin stuttered as he felt his blood rushing towards his face. His forehead burned from hitting the brick wall, his lip was busted and bleeding, slightly dripping onto his shirt. He moved his tongue around his teeth, testing that they were all in place. He didn't feel any of them loose but there was a metallic taste in his mouth.

He swallowed the liquid filling his mouth, hoping the wound would seal fast."Awawawa…" the taste wasn't foreign in his mouth but it wasn't pleasant either.

"How can I beat him if I can't see him?" he asks to himself trying to regain movement of his hands and legs.

"What are you saying?!"

Krillin looked above, hearing Goku speaking over his head. His vision blurred for a second, must've been from the hit, before he saw the image of one of his spiky haired friends.

"Look closer! I saw it!" Goku saw it he knew his mother would've picked up on that too. Yamcha might not have seen it though; Goku thinks that perhaps it was Master Roshi's training that helped them develop their skills better.

"R-really?" Krillin mutters trying to sit up.

"You trained with me didn't you?" Goku asks.

Gine appeared beside her son, wincing at Krillin's wounds. They weren't life threatening but the scent of blood, a rust stench, had her wrinkling her nose. Hardly anything causes hers or Goku's skin to break and the worst she sees is a bump or bruise on their skin. "Krillin," She mutters to him wishing she had something to clean the blood on his lips. "Krillin please try to be careful."

"Y-yes." Krillin blushed, wiping the blood away before walking back to the center. Goku's right. If he was able to see that punch, I should be able to see it too. He stopped walking a few feet away from his challenger, Jackie Chun. He clenched his fists, holding them by his sides, trying to appear anything but nervous.

Jackie Chun stood with a calm but smug look on his face, "Well look whose back." He got back to his fighting position "That was a slow punch. Allow me to show you one of my fast ones."

Either he's bluffing or I'm a goner, Krillin thought as he crouched down waiting for the attack.

He stared at the fighter with focused eyes, trying to comprehend if what his friend said was true. Could he really see him? Perhaps, but that would mean he was letting his guard down from the beginning. If that was it then he should've realized that Jackie Chun wasn't like any of his previous adversaries, and that would mean that this guy was above his ground level.

"Hoh!" His opponent came at him and this time he could see him. It was fast, yes, but the speed was something he had to get used to during his training with Master Roshi. In fact he swears this old man's speed rivals his sensei.

Both jumped high with their fists ready to clash; only they didn't. Krillin, like Jackie Chun, was able to see where the other's aim was heading and able to maneuver their bodies to dodge the hit. They landed on opposite sides of their original space, backs to the other.

"…" No one could really say anything. Each one of them speechless, the speed both competitors showed wasn't even something their eyesight could detect.

"Way to go Krillin!" Goku cheers. "I knew you could do it Krillin!"

"Yeah!" Krillin agreed excitedly.

Gine waved her arms, cheering to him happily. She's glad he didn't gain another injury, no matter how small. It has occurred to her that with Goku's heightened strength, he'll want a proper fight with her. She knew he'll be ready to face any pain inflicted on him, but could she really do it? They have sparred in the past but Goku was much weaker than her and she was able to know how much pressure she could put on each hit. It was only a friendly fight but how do you fight with someone you truly care about?

She lowered her arms back onto the edge and leaned on them, observing Krillin fighting with Jackie Chun. She knew they were enjoying their fight, they fought with determination but it was evident they were having fun. They like the others fought out of amusement, well except for Nam. She peeked behind her shoulder to see him by Ranfan, and Yamcha watching the fight from the other side. He didn't hold an excited smile but even he didn't fight to slaughter. They all fought as a choice not force. Sometimes she wishes her life could've started out easy and that fighting was something for fun instead of murder, the way she unfortunately had to be told. Her head started to ache and she flinches as she sees the two fighting in front of her.

Not again, she winces trying to clear the images rushing to her head. She closes her eyes, rubbing her temples, with her head now hiding under her arms.

Years ago, before she entered maturity, she was the daughter of a third class warrior. She had no title as she hadn't been assigned any missions, but it was more than likely she would also carry the same title as her father. Her strength wasn't anything special or average for her, and some believe she inherited her weakness from her mother. It was only a rumor though; no one really knows who her mother is, except for her father. Some didn't even believe he knew, but no one doubted she was his.

She sat on a stool beside one of the openings her neighbor had in her complex. Her shoulder and chest had been bandaged by Kobacha. The bandage is able to cool any wounds, preventing any further injuries. Her father had gone off to buy some healing medicine. They've needed to restock anyway.

"Hungry?" Surprised by Kobacha, she jumps nearly three feet in the air, causing the older saiyan to laugh at her. "I'm sorry Gine. Sometimes I forget how easily you get startled."

Still shaking in surprise Gine mumbles, "Its fine."

Kobacha, who was still laughing, places a bowl full of twitching, slimy, yellow tongues in front of her. She stared at the food without hunger. Her stomach couldn't handle much of the foods offered and often skipped meals. Her dad would often bring back foreign foods from different planets after his missions to try and get her to eat. He usually tries to bring back fruits with him as she did have a particular like to them.

"This looks…alive." She told her as she watched the meat wiggle around.

"Hmm…it does," The older saiyan pulled her own seat next to the child. "Zukkini said the native creatures are able to move limbs for about two weeks after separation of the body." She said it with so much calm, while Gine had to stop herself from fainting.

She really did like Kobacha, she wasn't like many of the saiyans but sometimes even she could forget that this woman was as much of a warrior as her mate and her father were. The saiyan didn't hold the typical appearance of a typical female; she was more rounded than the others but still had that muscular appearance, her short hair didn't defy gravity and instead of spikes it curled slightly by the ears. She's about 173 cm in height and is approaching her fiftieth year soon, Gine wonders if the older woman would change of any appearance but doubts it. According to her dad, Kobacha hasn't changed since her thirtieth. Do saiyans even have an expiration date?

*Slam*

Gine jumps again due to the noise. Kobacha stared at the entrance without any surprise. How come she's never surprised, Gine thought.

Two tall saiyans came into the kitchen. The one on the left had a dark skin tone, scars running all over his muscular arms and legs, short spiky hair with bangs falling on opposite ends of his face. He wore a short blue and green armor and held a sneer on his face. A scar just at the edge of his lips made his appearance more menacing.

The other held medium tan, light scars on his arms and an evident one starting from his left brow all the way up to his hairline. He had longer, spikier hair with a widow's peak. His eyes were hazel a trait only his family, and rare, seem to inherit. He wore a red and blue armor with blue pants. He held a grim expression and seems to worsen as he saw his young daughter sitting next to one of his old comrades.

Kobacha gave a pointed look towards the girl's father, letting her eyes drop to the broken scouter in his hand. She raised a brow at him, turning her head to face her mate Zukkini. He hadn't broken his scouter but he did hold it his hand.

Gine watched silently as Zukkini left the room. Her father sighs, taking out a small bottle from the inside of his armor. That's strange, he usually brings a case, she muses.

He replaces his seat with Kobacha in order to assist the damage. It was silent for the moment, he unwraps the bandage from her torso, unraveling the bruised skin. "How will you ever be able to handle the battlefield?" he mutters in sadness.

She moves her head up to face her father. He avoided her gaze, pouring the healing liquid on her skin. In a matter of seconds the bruises fade as her healthy fair skin tone started appearing once again. She doesn't like that her healing takes longer than a normal saiyan, but what can she do?

"…heard?" Her eyes moved to him again. What's wrong with him?

"You know I don't like wearing my scouter at home." Kobacha told him. She doesn't enjoy reading any updated reports being transmitted. The only time she'll wear that thing is to communicate with others.

"You'll have to make an exception today dear." Zukkini tosses her blue scouter over, "You may not enjoy listening to any news feed but a particular law has been enforced today."

She narrows her eyes at him before placing the technology on her head. She clicks one of the small buttons on the side turning it on.

"You have one hundred and thirty-three new news feed, twenty-five new messages, and a royal call."

Her eyes widened at the last one. Third classes don't usually receive any royal calls, it was the elite that usually dealt with him. They haven't heard directly from him since the great Saiyan-Truffle war. She was quick to open the call up,

"Royal call from: King Vegeta of planet Vegeta"

Gine's sensitive hearing was able to listen exactly what everyone else was able to, she peered at all the adults. Both males didn't seem happy and the one listening to the call had a surprised expression. Aren't they supposed to respect and be happy to hear their ruler?

"Sent to: Saiyans under the royal family"

*Slam*

"Hey ma, pa—," The one to come in was an average height, round boy. He had hair similar to his mother, tan like his father and almost always seen acting arrogantly. He is also one of the few saiyan kids Gine actually knew. His father slapped his hand on his son's mouth to stop the boy from speaking.

Zukkini hushes his son giving a glare of warning as his mate takes in the call.

The chubby saiyan gives Gine a questioning gaze. She simply shrugs at the other returning her gaze at the woman.

"I, King Vegeta, your victorious leader and commander of the saiyan army am decreeing law, 'Young Rising Saiyans' into action. The law states: any saiyan after the age of ten who has not reached maturity will be receiving missions to raise power for future generations."

Gine gasps covering her mouth in fear. Her eyes widened at the words, any saiyan after the age of ten…after the age of ten…ten…!

"Young Rising Saiyans will start to be enforced by the morrow. Every child of the age requirement is to appear at center grounds before the second sun rises with the first. There they will be sent in pods equivalent to the adults, and launched to one of three chosen planets. The three chosen planets will test the child's capability of handling missions. More information will be held before their departure."

"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Kobacha growls ready to crush her scouter only to be stopped by her mate.

"Any required child not in center grounds will be tried for treason against your king and either be exiled or executed. That is all."

"That's amazing! I can't believe it! We're finally going to be treated like soldiers! Isn't this the best Gine—Gine?" The only excited one of the group stopped his rambling when he saw his tiny friend sitting on the ground with her knees up and head down. She was shaking and covering her head, trying to disappear

"What's w—OW!"

His mother slapped the back of his head with an irritated expression. "This is certainly not cool young man!"

He fell to the floor from the power of her hit. With a tear on his right eye, he sat crisscross on the floor rubbing his head with annoyance. "What you do that for?! You and pops are always saying how good it was to fight in the Great War. And it's not only me who enjoy listening to pop's missions! I thought you'd be happy with us joining the army?!"

"Boy you and her are only twelve! The army is no place for kids!" His father growls out.

"Not to mention you kids could very easily be killed!" Kobacha had no problem with her son joining in the fun, but to start this early is preposterous! Especially for Gine! The girl wasn't even planning on joining the army and with a father like hers there'd be no way she'd ever set foot in a soldier's way of life.

Gine trembled in fear, crying silently at what she had to do the following day. It wasn't fair! How could they force every saiyan to become a member of the army? She'll surly die seconds after reaching the planet. Then she'll never see her daddy again. She'll never be able to see anyone again!

"STOP!" Her father's voice growls out to the three. "Look there's not anything any of us could do. Our children are either going to be killed for not attending or killed during their mission."

Everyone turned their head to the middle aged man. They couldn't believe he even uttered death to the kids, especially his own daughter who was on the verge of breaking apart.

"That's not going to happen!" The boy stood up. "There's no way we're dying!"

"And why is that?" He snapped. "You kids aren't like us, we train every day, fight day after day, fight to the death at least twice a week! Compared to what we've seen, you kids are hopeless, and should be trained before setting foot towards your first mission!"

"We do train!"

"Those mini spars you kids have are enjoyable to watch but is nothing compared to what we do!"

"We're still going to live!"

"And why is that?"

"Because we're saiyans!" Gine's father's lips twitched as he listened to the young boy gloat. "It's the fact that we are a powerful warrior race that should show the others that we hunger for battle! That we fight to live and destroy for power! They'll fear us because we are the next generation and will become a stronger race than you old guys ever were!"

Gine looked at her friend rattle on about saiyan pride. Something she lacks, but is surrounded by daily. She knew the story of the Great War; she was only a couple years old when the ten year war finally ended. The achievement had caused the saiyans to rise in power, gain reputations throughout the galaxy, and gain the technology needed from the Arcosians.

She knew that danger is something she should avoid. Her healing takes longer than the typical saiyan, she had no fighting experience, and without her daddy to protect her she'll die. Tears started building up again, was there no hope for her?

"Exactly," Her father says, surprising all of them again. "It's with that attitude that'll keep you kids alive. Be proud of who you are for saiyans had lived the hardship for many years and we refuse to lose any battle." He gazes down at his daughter who stared at him with unshed tears "I don't want this for you but if you stay here you'll be executed and if you go tomorrow there's a chance you'll come back. I'd rather see you off if it means there's a higher chance for your survival no matter how slim." He wiped away her tears, knowing he'll be there to see her off and hopefully there when she comes back. He helped her stand up knowing that their time together was running by a death clock from now on.

"Don't worry Gine I'll be there with you every step of the way! There's no way we'll be assigned different planets." The boy reassures her causing his friend to run over to him in an attempt to hug him, but before she could Gine trips on her hair.

"Ah…maybe we should do something about that hair." Kobacha, and everyone else, sweat drops at the little girl. She was unfortunate to inherit her father's long mane, without the widow's peak, even if she did appear adorable with it "Shugesh go get my scissors."

"Aye, aye mother!"

"It's for the best Riku." Zukkini places his hand on his younger friend's shoulder knowing how proud Riku was that his daughter inherited not only his eyes but her hair too.

"Ah-huh." Riku sobs, all seriousness put aside.

"Yay Krillin! Alright!" Gine lifted her head to see Goku at the steps cheering at Krillin, who was holding the back of his head in pain. What just happened?

It seems not only was she asking the question but so was everyone else. Gine silently listened to Mr. Alonsa who asked Jackie Chun on what exactly happened during the fight. She feels horrible for missing part of the fight, Krillin means as much to her as the others do.

She along with everyone else paid close attention to Jackie Chun and Krillin telling the story. The two came at each other from their previous spots, Jackie aiming to kick Krillin but Krillin dodging in time and aimed a punch towards his face but Jackie spat all over his fist.

"He spat on Krillin?" Gine asks incredibly.

Goku got back to his spot next to her, listening to them retell their battle. He snapped his head towards his mother's direction as she whispered her question, "Mom you missed the fight?!" there was no reason for her to have missed the clash. She should have been able to see each movement perfectly like he was able to.

She gave him a sheepish smile which he responded with a sigh. "Pay attention mom! You know this is important for Krillin." He felt really strange scolding his own mother. It was usually the other way around he didn't like this feeling and really hopes she doesn't make this a habit of hers. Unknown to him she was having similar thoughts.

They continued listening with Gine commenting every now and then. "He blew his snot at Jackie Chun?" Krillin sure did develop strange methods or maybe it was his opponent's that causes him to use these strange techniques. "Well at least he tried to think out his next movements."

Mr. Alonsa had to help both the elder and small teen recreate their battle and by the end he exclaims. "You mean all of this happened in one instant?!"

Yeah, she could believe everything they told really happened. Their recreation seems pretty accurate especially with the time they managed to take for the whole thing.

"CAN YOU BELIEVE THE INCREDIBLE TALENTS OF THESE FIGHTERS?!" The announcer screams out into his microphone. "Yes this is a match for the ages! Sorry for interrupting the fight, please continue." He rushes off the stage.

Krillin and Jackie Chun jumped away from each other, slowly circling around the other like a shark. It was silent apart from their breathing.

He needed a plan and he needed one now, he couldn't fight him directly. The elder held more experience than him and had more techniques than one could imagine. He was clearly at a disadvantage here and needed to work out a way to defeat him without actually fighting him. There was one way…he actually had learned a weakness Jackie Chun had. It became clear to him when he saw him going gaga over Ranfan earlier and how he tried to pull a move on Gine.

It was more than likely he was going to get in trouble for what he's about to do but hey Goku did help him get them, which means if he goes down then he's going down with him. He peeks at Gine real quick, before reaching inside his shirt and throwing out a pair of panties!

Jackie Chun reacted just as he wanted him to.

Gine felt her jaw drop as she saw Krillin tossing…tossing… "Are those mine?!" she practically yells out. Her face felt warm turning into the perfect shade of a ripe cherry.

"Yep!" Goku nods. "Krillin said he might need another motive to fight with him," he thought back to the conversation, "He notices how much Jackie got distracted with girls and asks me to help him."

"So you gave him my panties?!"

"Well no, he asked if you brought anything with you to the tournament and I told him that you usually bring some emergency clothes and he went and grabbed your underwear."

"…" She was speechless. Nothing entered her thoughts, not when the elder grabbed her garment, not when Krillin kicked him off stage and into the air. It wasn't until Jackie Chun preformed the kamehameha wave that finally had her thinking again.

Instead of going into shock like the rest, she hisses out. "Krillin! You are in so much trouble after this match!"

The little bald teen gulps loudly, not only could his opponent do the legendary move, it seems like he was going to lose and get the yelling of his life. Well if he's going down then so will Goku. "He's the one that showed me!"

"He's in trouble too!"

"Aw man." Goku complains. He didn't think this was going to get him in trouble. At least his mother was back to herself.

Krillin was panicking. He didn't know what to do anymore, "What do I do?! Goku what do I do?" he asks his best friend for advice and the best he could come up with is to win. "So nice having optimistic friends! Damn it."

"Swearing isn't helping your case!" What? How is 'Damn' even a bad word now?

"Gah!" He had no time to think about this. He knew he already had an angry mother beside Goku along with a strong challenger who's ready to end this match. With no other tricks up his sleeve he has to rely on pure instinct. "Oh well, there's really only one thing left for me to do!" he ran over to Jackie Chun like a wild animal.

His intention was to headbutt Jackie, slamming him into the wall, hopefully scoring a win; instead the elder dodged and made him destroy the wall. His vision started blurring and his head felt as if it was spinning. The bruise from earlier felt larger making the pain worst than it was before.

Snickering at the boy Jackie told him, "Glad to see you still using your head. Good work!"

Krillin stood back up, bad idea; his focus became worse, the pain he felt along with the embarrassment made him spring back into action, "Sh-shut up! Enough already!" he was mildly aware of Gine scolding him again.

His adrenaline rush pushed him forward to attack him, before he could though, Jackie disappeared from his sight.

"Krillin look out! He's coming out from behind you!" He could hear Goku's warning.

"Eh?" Before he could even attempt to turn around Jackie had whipped his hands to the teen's shoulder blades bringing unconditional pain for a moment before he passes out.

Jackie Chun left the scene and the announcer started counting, knowing that Krillin wasn't going to get up for a while.

Gine's anger at Krillin deflated after seeing him pass out. He's still a kid how would he know? He was just trying to win and besides there wasn't any rules against using that trick. She sighs, watching Mr. Alonsa count to ten. Maybe this was karma.

At ten Goku was whining. "Aw Krillin lost."

_ (-V-) _

Krillin was awake and sitting on one of the benches rubbing his shoulder in pain. Goku, Gine, Yamcha and even Jackie Chun were all trying to make him feel better over the loss. He was actually feeling better that he was no longer going to get in trouble for the little stunt he pulled earlier. He certainly couldn't try that again nor does he think he could pull it off again, not that he wanted to.

The oldest teen thought now was a great time for him to unravel the truth of Jackie Chun "Yeah he did fight well, extremely well. Considering his opponent was the great Master Roshi!" he's had his suspicion from the moment he lost. There was no way some ordinary old man could beat him without being one of the greatest fighters that ever lived.

"Hm?" Jackie Chun stared at him.

"Eh?" Goku questioned.

"What do you mean? He's Jackie Chun." Krillin told the confused older teenager.

Gine stared at Yamcha as if he was losing his sanity "Yamcha how many fingers am I holding up?"

"Three and I'm not blind!" Yamcha knew this was Master Roshi. He just had to find a way for the other's to believe him.

"Why do you keep saying that?" Jackie Chun asks him with a raised brow.

Goku thinking like his mother told his friend, "What are you talking about Yamcha! You know Master Roshi is bald!"

"That does seem to pose a problem doesn't it?" He tells them calmly before grabbing onto the elder's grey hair, snarling out. "Unless it's a wig!"

"Wait! Wh-what are you doing? Let go!" Jackie demands at the younger man. "OW!"

"It's real?!" Yamcha gasps that the hair he thought was a wig was actually the man's real hair.

"Well of course it's real!"

Yamcha tries to think of an explanation. "I got it now! You had hair this whole time! You've just been trying to cover it up with a bald cap!"

"Who the hell would do that?!" A red faced Jackie raises his head yelling at the seventeen year old. "How do we not know you're not Master Roshi wearing an ugly mask?!"

"Okay you can say what you want but I know you're him!" He yells back.

The three orange clad fighters came up to them wondering if this was going to get bad. Yamcha seems very confused about who Jackie Chun really was.

"That's it! You two," he pointed at the wild haired duo. "Your noses should be able to do the trick! Sniff him and find out if he's really Master Roshi or not!"

"Now that you mention it, he really is similar…even his voice…" Krillin mutters glancing at the elder closer.

Gine and Goku took a step closer to the man leaning towards him and taking a few whiffs of the man. "He doesn't smell like Master Roshi." Goku tells them.

Gine had to agree the guy doesn't smell like turtle shells but he did have a strange scent covering him "He smells fruity." She says.

Goku nodded. "Like oranges."

Jackie Chun took out a small blue bottle, spraying it a few times.

Yamcha exclaims, "Yah what is that, perfume?!"

"I've been using this for a really long time its cologne eau d'orange. Ladies love it." He put it away glaring up at the annoying teen. "Listen buster you're pushing my limits. I am who I am. Got it? Now back off!"

"May I have your attention please?" Everyone stopped moving, facing the entrance. "The second semi-final match is about to begin! Will Goku and Gine please report to the arena?"

"Alright it's finally our turn!" Goku turns to his mother in excitement.

Gine gave him a smile. "Yeah it sure is," she gave him a small push. "Well let's go!" She really needs to pay attention for this one.

Krillin walked up towards Jackie Chun and Yamcha telling them. "I don't really know who to cheer for." They both had to agree with the thirteen year old.

Who do you think is going to win? Goku or Gine? I already made up my mind on who's winning this one, but still let me hear your thoughts on this one.

How many of you are disappointed that Gine actually knew Shugesh before Bardock? Who else do you think she'll know? Don't fret kid Bardock will be showing up quicker than you think...they have to meet sometime (*hint, hint*)

Some of the things you've read in the flashback might not make complete sense. I think if I explain some things now it'll clear up some questions. The technology isn't completely advanced yet, healing tanks exist but they aren't commonly used (they don't have enough), saiyan babies will be sent out but not yet, and Gine's healing isn't like a regular saiyan (Yet). More questions? Of course there is! =P

Anyone has a request for character profile? (Adult) Gine? Goku? Riku? Krillin?

As long as the character has been mentioned in the story they'll have a character profile. The profiles will also be updated as time passes and can be seen in a future chapter.

Thought it might be fun and have a better view of the character ^^
