Dani's p.o.v
I wake up, having fallen asleep as well. It's dark in the room, we've slept through the day and into the night.
"Der" I say, nudging the male softly. He stirs, opening his eyes. "We slept through the day" I tell the tired man.
"Hmm, need more sleep" he mumbles, laying his head back down on my stomach. I chuckle.
"You must be tired"
"You as well" he says.
"Me? Why?" I ask, looking down at him.
"Uh..I-I don't know" he stutters. I raise an eyebrow at him. "I don't know, I just thought we could have a day off" he says.
"Maybe you do, i've been taking it easy since i've moved in" I chuckle. "I should be doing more around here"
"No, not now" he says.
"Now what?" I ask, confused. Derek's face falls a little. "Derek, is something wrong?" I ask him.
"I was actually about to ask you the same thing" he says, sitting up.
"Der, nothing's wrong, I promise" I say.
"Are you sure?" he asks. I swear he even looks a little..nervous? I sit up.
"Yeah, i'm sure" I say. "Are you okay?" I ask him. He nods. "Good" I smile, leaning in to kiss him. He kisses me back softly. When it starts to get heated, I move so i'm in his lap. "I think we're here alone" I say between each kiss. He shakes his head, pecking my lips one more time before pulling back.
"We can't right now" he says. Okay, what's wrong with Derek? "I'm still tired, you are too, I can tell" he says.
"Okay" I nod. He had me worried for a second there.
"Once things are..settled, we can do whatever you want" he assures me. Settled? I'm not going to question him, he must have had a really long morning at the bank and i'm not pushing him to do anything he doesn't want too.
"Whatever I want?" I repeat with a grin.
"Yes, whatever you want" he grins back.
"You have no idea what you just signed up for" I tease.
"Oh, i've got a few ideas" he teases back. I giggle, cheeks heating up. Derek yawns. "I'm going back to sleep, i'd love it if you'd stay in bed with me" he says. I smile softly.
"Course i'll stay" I say, kissing his cheek before laying back down. Derek smiles, returning to his place on my stomach. "You okay down there?" I ask him, my hair coming back to his hair. I know the action relaxes him so I often rake my hand through his hair. He does the same for me if i'm stressed or upset.
"I'm perfect" he mumbles, eyes already closed again.
"I love you, you know that right?" I say queitly into the darkness. I feel him move on my stomach, moving to look at me. I've got my eyes closed but I know he's looking at me.
"Yeah, I do. And i'll always love you too, no matter what" he says softly before laying back down. I move a little onto my side so I can cuddle around Derek, the male doing the same to me. And that's how we fall back asleep.

Short chapter, I know. I was wondering how you guys wanted Derek to find out about the test being Cora's and how he'll react?
