Breathe- Pink Floyd
Breathe, breathe in the air
Don't be afraid to care
Leave, but don't leave me
Look around and choose your own ground
"Look at it Honeydew. Isn't it just stunning?" The dwarf hurriedly walked to Xephos' side.
"Yep, it's like a whole new game." Xephos sighed and took a big whiff of the air.
"Take a sniff of that,"
"I beg your pardon?"
"You can just sense the adventure." Honeydew looked up at Xephos, unimpressed.
"So what are we actually doing here?" A wild grin grew on the spaceman's face. He pointed to the huge door and walked towards it, Honeydew following closely at his side.
"This, my dear friend, is where it all happens. Brace yourself and welcome to Yoglabs"
They hurried inside and gazed upon the many corridors, all in which held a unique surprise. Xephos gestured to a corridor.
"Here this way." Walking down, for what seemed like forever for Honeydew, they finally stopped at a door. "Your office is in there, and mine is unfortunately next door." Honeydew opened the door and looked around. One single desk and chair occupied its space. He backed out and turned to Xephos again.
"I don't know how to put this without hurting your feelings, but basically it's awful. Do I really have to work in there?" Xephos frowned and continued to look at Honeydew "Do I even have to work at all?"
"I don't know if there are any more offices but I suppose you could wander around, see if anything catches your attention."
Honeydew nodded and wandered down the corridor, peering through some of the doors. Xephos followed, since he had nothing else to do. Reaching a mechanical door, Honeydew stopped and pressed the button to open it.
"I wouldn't advise going in there…" Xephos pleaded, trying to pull Honeydew away. But he still continued.
"If I want to go in, I'm going in."
"Um, okay then… Xephos continued quite uncertain. The dwarf ran through the corridor, past a glass window and down some stairs before reaching what Xephos had warned him about. He stopped and stared at what lay before him. Catching him up, Xephos walked past the still Honeydew and to the ice vat instead, resting his hand against the glass.
"I was going to tell you, but I didn't know how…"
"It's okay, I understand." Honeydew walked next to him. "It's quite obvious, that my whole 'life' has been a lie."
For Long you live and high you fly
And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be
"It's not been a lie." Xephos protested, taking his hand down from the glass and turning to Honeydew.
"-Yes it has Xephos! I didn't know you when we first met, but you did because it was the first time we met for /for me/. I can tell it in your eyes, Xephos… I'm not the dear friend you've been referring to. You don't want me; instead you want that friend there, in the chamber, with the memories." A tear formed in the spaceman's eye and he looked back up at the real Honeydew.
"Those memories were special, yes, but I feel that having my friend alive here today is more important." Honeydew walked away, not wanting to hear from Xephos any longer.
"I wish I wasn't here. I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing, supposed to be acting like. All I know is I'm a fake and I'll never have a normal life."
Walking back up the corridors, he entered a room that simulated a normal plains biome. Inside were trees, grass and neutral mobs.
"OMG! You're sooo cute! It's a lil' Chicken!" Quickly shutting the door, he ran up to the chicken and rummaged in his pockets for some seeds. "Sorry lil' buddy. I haven't got a treat for you; I've only got this carrot… but look at you: you're so adorable with your lil' beak and beady eyes!"
His eyes filled with tears and he continued to stare at the chicken in awe.
Run, run rabbit run
Dig that hole, forget the sun
And when at last the work is done
Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one
'cluck' The chicken ran around and pecked at the floor.
"D-dig?" A faint spark lit up in his eye "Dig. That's a good idea." Getting his shovel out, he walked over to a space on the ground and started digging.
"This feels good. I feel a song coming on. I'm a dwarf and I'm shovelling up dirt! Shovel shovel dirt, I'm shovelling up dirt!" He continued to dig up the dirt, forgetting about Xephos.
Eventually the dirt ran out and in its place stood stone. He bent down and wiped a finger along it's smooth surface.
"This won't dig will it?" Turning to the chicken- who was up on the surface- he asked the question again. The chicken pecked at the floor. "Oh! Dig around elsewhere! Thanks chicken." So that's what he did. He dug out sideways, creating a huge hole. Dirt and debris flew out at all angles as the dwarf rapidly dug up the earth.
"Hey chicken! Do you see this? My hole's much bigger than yours! Chicken?"
He turned around and jumped back in surprise.
"Oh hello lil' fella! It's quite late for you to be out, isn't it?" The creeper stood still, staring at him.
"sssss… BANG"
For long you live and high you fly
But only if you ride the tide
And balanced on the biggest wave
You race toward an early grave
