Disclaimer: the bag I bought broke pretty fast. But I got an One Piece poster last summer, so I've that going for me. Which is nice, though I still can't claim ownership to One Piece. Surprising, eh?

Warnings: I wrote this... about a year ago. Maybe. So... draw your own conclusions. ;)

Also, a slightly annoying beginning. What was I thinking? Aaaand I am not entirely happy with this, but felt strangely obligated to update. After a year and a half. Yeah.

Of kisses

Teardrops streamed down the young man's face as he crouched down next to the woman laying on the ground, her small white dress stained with red and hair sprayed around like a blonde halo.

"No... No! This cannot be! Please don't- don't..."

The man sobbed again and neared his shaking hand to the woman's beautiful but pale face, stopping millimeters from it.

"No! I do not deserve! I do not deserve to be near her, when it is my fault that... that..."

And he trailed off in his passionate monologue, the silence resounding in the dark room and making the atmosphere even more depressing.

The man took a loud, shaky breath and started speaking again, his voice raising with every spoken word. "I am sorry. Had I been faster, I might have saved you. I am so very sorry..."

His tears had stopped, and his face had gained an expression of extreme anguish and determination as he ran a callused hand through his black hair - he looked like a man ready to throw away his life.

"I will take revenge. I shall kill the fool who dared to take you away from me and anybody who stands in my way. You are my one true love, and I shall love you forever!"

Before standing up, the tall man took one last look at his love, and his expression changed yet again. It gained a gentler look and the edge in his eyes softened.

He whispered 'sorry' as he leaned even closer, his lips nearing hers and eyes closing, and, with a small smooch, he kissed her on lips.

For a moment everything was still, and then a small sparkle appeared midair and then slowly descended on his cheek.

After a moment, another one landed on the woman's forehead, and suddenly a flurry of sparkles was all over them. More and more and more, they appeared in the air, shining brightly and hovering in the air for a moment before starting to move and attaching themselves either to the woman laying on the ground or to the man, who was still crouched next to her still body with closed eyes.

When the sparkles had covered them to the point where it was practically impossible to look at them, there was a small noise reminiscent of a cork flying out of a bottle of the finest champagne and the sparkles slowly started to fade, leaving the audience and the theater's staff gaping and gasping at the spot where the main leads of a play had been just minutes ago and at the show of lights that couldn't have possibly be put up with the budget of a small, C-grade play.

"Hey, Tony."

"Toooony boy!"

"Ton-Ton..."

"Wake up this very second or I'll ruin your reputation, you little dumb as sh-"

"I'm up, I'm up!" Tony opened his eyes to Grace leaning over him, and his eyes were almost immediately drawn to her cleavage- after all, she had inadvertently exposed to him a rather big part of it, especially at that angle.

Any other girl (any other more modest girl, to be precise) would have immediately moved away from him, but not Grace. Grace replaced any insecurity she could have had with bravado, staying in the place and instead asking in a sultry voice. "Like the view?"

Tony blushed and asked in a polite voice if Grace could get off.

Grace in turn informed Tony that she thanked him, but she was very much comfortable, to which he blushed again.

Bored with the boy's blushing, Grace got off and frowned at her dress. The red stain looked absolutely awful, and the dress was a little bit tight in her chest area.

With another sigh she put her hand in her cleavage and fished out the silicon push-ups, right in front of Tony, who by this time looked like a ripe tomato.

Chuckling, the sultry woman put the push-ups in her sash and smirked at the boy who was still blushing like a virgin (which he probably was).

Tony stared at her. He knew that her co-worker was a rather daring person, he had worked with her for quite a while and she didn't act that different in the repetitions, but usually her attention was focused on the director (the rumours went that she slept with him), and other people's presence helped to buffer her vibrant personality (and the way she showed off her... assets).

Blushing again, he averted his view from the shapely woman and a strangled sound left his throat when he noticed where they were.

First he hadn't really noted the difference, because the floor was still laid out with floorboards like it had been at the theater, but now he noticed that the room was a lot more smaller and looked like it was some kind of... stuff keeping place.

"Where are we?"

"Sheesh Tony-boy, do I look like I know?" Grace raised a drawn eyebrow.

"All I know I woke up in this room, you next to me and all this trash surrounding us." She said and pointed a maniquired finger to a corner where bunch of mannequins stood, surrounded by other stuff that looked like play props.

Tony narrowed his eyes at the clutter.

Some of it looked familiar, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. There was this strange something...

Shaking the strange feeling off, the young actor moved his gaze to other parts of the room.

Similar clutter was almost everywhere- glass slipper on a violet pillow, brooms laying around randomly, a strange small red hat, lots and lots of different kinds of weapons (Tony's gaze lingered on a sword stuck in a stone).

In fact, Tony was surprised that there was enough free place for them on the ground; despite the fact that there was reasonable space between them and the nearest mountain of clutter, all the 'mountains' themselves were so tall that the walls practically couldn't be seen.

If there were any doors, he couldn't see them either.

Suddenly, a loud thud from Tony's left shook the clutter-mountains, skewing the one to their left and making a tiara tumble down from the very top of it.

Grace frowned and then exclaimed. "What the hell?! Who's there?"

The walls shook once more and a muffled voice came trough. "Hey, anybody there?"

"Yes! Get us out of here!" Grace yelled back.

After a a probably muttered and rather muffled "Wait, mother love" or "Great, another one", or maybe it was "lake, weatherman" (there was a wall between them, after all), the voice yelled at them to move away.

Tony and Grace scrambled away from the wall as far as they could, only the presence of another clutter-mountain keeping them away from the opposite wall. They both stood there with held breaths, and the the clutter mountain parted.

No, really, it parted. Like the sea when Moses run away from Egypt. (Or books when Twilight Sparkle was present. But Tony shoo-ed the thought away. He really shouldn't be thinking about that Midnight Twinkle pony his cousin was so obsessed with.)

It shone for a moment, then slowly parted right in the middle, revealing the door that previously had been hidden.

The door slowly creeked open and in walked... a blond boy.

Both actors let out a sigh of relief and Toby released Grace's hand (he'd grabbed it earlier).

"So, you two are the nitwicks that proclaimed eternal love." The strange boy more stated than asked after surveying them from head to toe.

"Oh well. Follow me." He said and turned around, marching out of the room.

"For Buda's sake, sit down. Do I have to send a written invitation?" The blond boy stared expectantly at Grace and Tony from over his desk.

Tony sat down on the plush chair, but Grace remained standing, her posture aggressive.

The blonde boy rolled his eyes at her and opened his mouth to say something, but Tony interrupted him.

"Umm, sorry, but you still haven't introduced yourself?" the blackhaired man trailed off uncertainly, not looking imposing at all despite his big stature.

When the boy didn't reply immediately, Tony spoke again: "Err... I'm Tony and this is, uh, Grace."

The boy smiled. "Right, sorry. I'm Gabriel. I would say that it is nice to meet you, but in these circumstances..."

"Will you get on with it?" Grace obviously felt annoyed.

Gabriel smiled indulgently. "Sit down, Grace. It will be a long story."

Grace rolled her eyes, obviously annoyed, and sat on the very ch of the chair.

"Okay, so, to understand this story... uh... so, what do you know about dimensions? We kinda need to get basics out of the way."

Tony gaped. "Wait, you mean to tell me that we are in a different dimension?"

Gabriel winced. "Well, kinda. I'll explain that part later. So, Grace-"

"Yeah, yeah, I know the basics. Move along."

Gabriel smiled again. "So, long time ago there was this über powered faerie-witch-mermaid-angel-demon-magic girl."

Grace snorted.

"It isn't that strange." Gabriel gazed at her with mild amusement and then proceeded to explain. "In fact, in the world where she lived, having parents from the same species was strange."

Tony blinked, staring at the blonde boy with big eyes, taking in every word.

"After her birth, as was custom in her world, Mary's parents chose a world for her to live in and left her there."

"Aaaand?"

"Well, the thing is, she fell in love. Irrevocably, strongly... and tragically."

"What, the boy recognized her for the freak of nature she was and sent her three houses further?"

"Not exactly. He himself was merman-kappa-werewolf-vampire-magican-lich-king-dark-elf who just happened to be left on the same Earth, so..."

"..."

"Either way, they got together."

"..."

"Hey, you can't expect me to go in details of their love life. That would be, like, a breach of their privacy."

"..."

"Anyway, they were together. And then Mary found out Gary had been cheating on her."

"..."

"She got pissed off, and decided to take revenge on him. Gary's fate was most unfortunate indeed. But, even after cursing him and the woman he was having an affair with into oblivion, Mary's rage could not be quenched." Gabriel looked Grace right in the eyes.

"She swore upon her soul that any and every couple that swore eternal love would be judged by her."

"But... she simply said that. Despite her supposed powers, they were simply pronounced words. Plus, there are millions of people out there, announcing true love and all that gibberish." Grace frowned, "What has this got to do with us?"

"You see, Mary had no idea of her power's extent. She was powerful- oh yes, she was, she could technically do anything, but her power had limits. Limits she had no control over. Each time she tried to cast a spell, made a wish, did *anything*, magic decided how to react. Which is fascinating, because magic is supposedly omnipotent, which means it cannot really have a personality or..."

Gabriel coughed.

"Sorry, got a bot carried away. Anyways, in this case the limits were pretty straightforward. Mary's curse would be able to impact the pair only if at least one of them had some kind of magical ancestry and if they were on the planet she had lived on- that is, planet Earth. Also, the curse would last for hundred years, meaning that any promises of true love wouldn't matter at all if they were spoken hundred years and a day later."

"Uh, sorry, but what has that got to do with us?" Tony interrupted Gabriel.

"Pardon me?"

"I mean... uh... we aren't in be frank, uh, I haven't really talked with Grace. And, umm, I don't think I have any magic?"

Grace nodded," Me too. Obviously, I am no true love material. Also, even if we were supposed to be judged... why are you saying all of this to us?"

"... Wait a moment..." Gabriel opened a file he had had on his desk for the whole of their converstation, "Grace, did you say "Oh love mine, I love you indeed, I will wait for you forever and 'tis your name on my lips when death parts us for real"?

"Yeah, but-"

"And, Tony chap, you said "You are my one true love, and I shall love you forever!", didn't you?"

"Um, yes, but-"

"And then you kissed her?"

"Uh, yes, but-"

"Then everything should be ok. You-"

"SHUT THE FICK UP YOU HEAD OF AN EXCLUSIVELY MALE EXTREMITY!" Grace roared, then proceeded with a less loud voice "When people say but, it usually means you don't have the whole story."

"Ah?"

"Yes, ah. What I and Ton-Ton herehave been trying to say is that we are actors. We were in a play. We didn't mean a word we said and have repeated the lines for more than hundred times. Why would this time matter?"

Gabriel looked stupefied, and then his face gained an expression of regret, "Oh. Uh..."

"What uh, you angel wanna-be?"

"I'm sorry."

"Sorry for what?"

"Well, I can't do anything. I am not even a real person."

"..."

"I am the curse's side effect."

"Explain." Grace demanded.

"Magic has a mind of it's own and... well, no-one really understands how it works. We can only understand separate cases- and even then only through try and trial. For example, Mary's curse goes like this (thus far): two people (on this Earth, at least one of them with magick) swear eternal love and kiss on lips. As they kiss, a special pocket universe with a Explainer is created for them, and both are magicked away. The Explainer explains the situation and erases one person's memory. Both of them are then magicked to yet another universe to different places, creating a relatively alternative universe version of the aforementioned universe and then they are judged. Simple as that. And nothing can change that. It's like... If you cause zombie apocalypse, you don't mean to do so. But, even if you didn't mean to do it, you have done it and nothing can change that."

"What reason we have to believe you?"

"None at all." Gabriel sounded almost cheerful.

"But still, we don't have any magic. How can you explain that stupid girls curse affecting us?"

"Well, my best guess is that you inheriteded the magic. Somebody died and left you a magical gizmo, a relative caught a goblin and made a deal with it, anything goes. What matters is that everything has already happened and you can't do anything about it except accept."

"... son of a rubber doll and pink turtle's cut up rump."

"So, which one of you will have his slash her memory erised?"

"Wait, didn't you hear Grace? I mean, we aren't supposed to be here. "

Gabriel turned his eyes from Grace to Tony, "You claimed eternal love and kissed, and one of you has magic."

"But-"

"Ton-Ton, just give it up." Grace said listlessly, "We have to figure out which one better get that temporary amnesia. Which memories exactly are erased?"

"The last 24 hours."

"Hmmm... so he would have enough common sense... but then again..." the cogs in Grace's head were turning rapidly. "Okay then. Erase Tony's memory."

"What? Why mine?!"

"Because you wouldn't be able to convince me of anything, while I will simply find you and deal with all of this."

"...you don't even know where we will go! And I am just as capable-"

Grace stared at him.

"Okay, you're right. Erase my memory."

"See, that was easy!" Gabriel smiled winningly. "Now, Tony chap, give me your hand!"

Tony slowly extended his right hand to Gabriel, who grabbed it and smiled again.

"Thank you! Now, close your eyes!"

Tony did so obediently, and immediately powerful feeling of drowsiness overcame him.

'I can't believe this.' was his last thought as darkness filled his consciousness.

'Mmmnn...'

Tony stirred slightly.

'Hmm?'

He raised his head to his surroundings- and his head fell down as he had hit it against something hard and gray -steel?- and lost his consciousness yet again. Above him, Mihawk sighed and decided to be more careful with his swords while leaning over an unconscious person's body.

Grace woke up and immediately leaped up. She had some research to do and a virgin in distress to save.

Hi. Nice to see you, I guess? Eheheh...

Umm. Life did stuff. But I'll try to update soon. Maybe. ;)

(I'm not really sorry, and for that, sorry I am.)

Thank you, Princess Unikitty, Vendelareader and Shiningeheart of ThunderClan for reviewing. And everybody else who did stuff.
