Once we entered the palace Sonic started to ask me questions. "Do you really runaway?" I didn't answer his questions, feeling that he didn't need to know anything about me. He just shrugged his shoulders and walked with me as I pointed out each room we pasted by.
"And these are the dungeons. This is where all the slaves are kept." I said finishing.
"Are you kept here?" he asked me, he had been asking me many personal questions, none that I wished to answer so I didn't, but now he was just being annoying.
"I'm a slave, aren't I?" The King wasn't here to tell me off so I decided to be rude.
"I don't know, are you?"
"Yes."
"Then why are you with King Acorn?"
"It's not my choice, why don't you ask him?"
"Because you're more interesting"
"Is that because I'm female?" I knew what every male thought, and I knew that he wouldn't be finding me interesting if I was male. Neither would the King… If I was a boy things would be so much easier.
"If I'm truthful, then yes partly. But also by the way you act around him."
I had been meaning to ask him "Why didn't you let Sally know of the way I acted?"
"Because that would have gotten you in trouble, wouldn't it?" What is wrong with this boy? Most men would be begging the king to punish me every chance they got.
"Why do you care?" I asked. It's not like I meant anything to him.
"Because he would have hurt you otherwise, and I don't like seeing females get hurt."
"You wouldn't have seen me get hurt" I said, the King wouldn't have done anything then and there, he would have waited for tonight to punish me.
"But surely the king would have beaten you?"
"Not then and there, later yes."
"Well there you go then, I didn't want you to get punished" He smiled at me, but I just looked away at the window.
The sun was going down, oh no! "I have to go see the King now. You know where your chambers are, yes?" I asked hastily, if I'm late I will be severely punished.
"Yes. But why do you have to see the King now?"
"Because if I'm late I'll be punished" I answered in a hurry already on the fifth step.
He ran after me "But why do you have to see the King, what for?" He couldn't be that naïve, could he?
"What do you think!?" I shouted.
"I don't know!"
I didn't want to say it, saying it would me it all too real and horrible, so I just stated to facts hoping he would get it. "It's getting late, if I do any wrong he will always wait until later on to punish me for it, I'm female, he doesn't have a Queen and I was a present to him! Now do you understand!?"
He ran in front of me, stopping me from going any further. "And if I'm late he'll punish me." I added, trying to find a way around him, but to no avail, the stairway was to narrow.
"So you mean you're his… sex slave?" His voice was soft and sympathetic, his face showed pity.
I hate pity; it shows how weak I really am. "Yes! Now move or he will punish me!" I said again trying to get around him, but still to no avail.
"Ok I'll move, but only if we can talk about it again in the morning."
I had to get going so I agreed. "I'll try. But I can't get away from the king, I'm lucky I got away from him today when he went to the meeting. So if you want to talk to me you'll have to find a way to get me away from him, because I can't!"
"Ok I will." He agreed stepping out of the way, I ran around him and all the way to the top step.
"Oh and Amy" I stopped and looked at him "Good luck." I quickly thanked him and ran to the king's chambers.
I knocked on the door, and the he opened it. An annoyed expression all over his face, I was really in trouble. He grabbed my wrist tightly making me wince and pulled me into the room locking the door behind him.
His room was the only room in the east wing, so my screams and begs for him to stop could not be heard by anyone.
