Together Part 1
Amy is on her way home from the park with her infant son, she's walking beside her new friend and neighbour Ada Mayfield who was pushing along her twins Evelyn and Joseph.
"Ada, how old are the twins now?"
"They're 2 months, I can hardly believe it, how old is your Anthony?"
"He's 9 months"
"So are you gonna tell me why you wanted to leave the park earlier than we usually do?"
"Well ..."
Suddenly a cab pulls up just a little ways down the road from them, right outside their houses, River gets out and pays the driver who then drives off seconds later.
"...That's why?"
Amy speeds up a little, leaving Ada to follow her.
"Melody, it is so good to see you, how are you?" says Amy.
"I'm fine thank you"
"Ada, allow me to introduce Melody Malone, Rory's cousin, Melody this is mine and Rory's neighbour Mrs Ada Mayfield and her 2 month old twins Evelyn Mary and Joseph James".
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs Mayfield".
"You too Miss Malone, now if you excuse me I must go start my Alfred's dinner".
"Goodbye".
Ada then goes inside her house leaving Amy, River and Anthony standing there ad when the two women are sure they are alone they give each other a hug.
"It's good to see you mother".
"You too, now come on inside, you can watch me try to put this one down for his afternoon nap".
Inside the house an hour later Amy has fed Anthony and put him down for a little while and now she is sat with her daughter in the living room.
"So, mother, how are you?"
"I'm good, how are you Professor Song, how was the dig?"
"Okay actually, we discovered quite a lot"
"Not hostile aliens by any chance?"
"Of course"
"What was it this time?"
"Sontarans"
"And how did you deal with them?"
"It's a long story, but basically I sent them packing"
"That's my girl, do you want to stay for dinner, I'm making Casserole"
"Sure, I'd love to".
A little while later, the Chicken portions are in the oven and Amy and River are chopping up the vegetables when Anthony is heard crying from upstairs, making Amy groan.
"No, mother, I'll get him".
"Thank you"
River then washes her hands and goes upstairs and while she is upstairs Rory arrives home.
"Amy" he calls from the corridor.
"In the kitchen"
Rory then walks into the room and hugs and kisses his wife.
"How was work?"
"Not good, old Mr Sanderson died this afternoon".
"Oh my god, what was the cause"
"Something that to me, just seems stupid"
"What?"
"The flu, he died of the flu".
"How are you?" Amy asks her husband.
"Okay, where's Anthony?"
"He's ..."
"...Right here father" answers River from behind him.
Rory then quickly spins around and sees his daughter holding Anthony.
"River!"
"Hello father"
Amy then goes over to her daughter and takes Anthony from her, allowing father and daughter to greet each other with a hug.
"How are you River?"
"I'm good, you?"
"Not bad, so what's for dinner?"
"Chicken Casserole, now will you take this one while we finish?"
"Sure, come on little man come with daddy and let me tell you a story about a funny man and a red hat"
Rory then takes his son and walks off into the living room.
"He likes stories does Anthony"
"Really!"
"Yes, especially ones that involve you and the Doctor, of course we leave out the gorier details until he's older but he enjoys them all the same, now come help me finish or none of us will be eating until 10"
River then laughs at her mother and carries on chopping vegetables.
