Chapter 4: My Name Is Crow! Fly, Blackbird!

Late at night, at a Security building in the Satellite. A thief is humming, aimlessly, as he searches. He pulls open a drawer with one hand, his forearms are covered with tan, woolen, wrist guards. The intruder rummages in the drawer. He's wearing blue jeans, a yellow, sleeveless shirt, under a sleeveless, brown cargo vest. His arms are bare, but for the wrist guards and a metal cuff around each bicep. A big gray tote bag hangs from one of his shoulders. He's 5'7" and 123 lbs. "Huh! There's good stuff here. Hahahahah!" He starts to load decks into his bag.

Outside, Security guys are approaching the front of the building and a parked D-Wheel. "We've received information that a mysterious D-Wheel is parked at A2 block." "Roger. We're heading to that location." The Security guys climb out of their vehicles and stand on either side of a black and yellow D-Wheel, parked out front. "This must be it. I've never seen this type before." "Why is it parked in a place like this?"

The thief is placing more decks of duel cards into his bag. "I can also use this. Leaving it here would be a waste."

The officers attempt to approach the D-Wheel. As they do, the side-fins fold up and down and they hear beeping. "What?" One of them touches it, receives an electric shock and winces back. The screen turns on. "What is this?" "Let's tow it away."

The thief inside pulls open another drawer, looks at another card and smirks, at last his face is revealed. His yellow criminal marks are like gaudy warpaint, with a thick triangle below each eye and a wide, jagged line down both cheeks to his jawline, a line across his forehead, like a letter M, and a dot at the right side of his head, a few inches above his eyebrow. He's also wearing a pair of earrings in the shape of washers and a viridian headband, embroidered with two metal rings at the right side, which restrains his energetic shock of orange hair, and his dark-gray eyes are mischievous, especially at the present moment. He's seventeen. "Hah! I'll take this, too."

In the dimly-lit early morning, a road extends outward from the city into the ocean.

Then stops, cut off. Two red lights blink atop the arch over the road, perhaps signaling any boats to navigate around the supports. It is at the edge of this severed road that Yusei and Godwin stand. The latter's gazing out at the other side, directly, and the former has turned to the side. "I want to ask you one thing. Yusei, why do you ride a D-Wheel?" Godwin asks. "I'm not required to answer you." Says Yusei. "Hm. This bridge was supposed to link the City with Satellite. You built your own D-Wheel and crossed this ocean. I sense great destiny for you. The person who links this bridge someday might be you." Godwin says. "With your political power, you can complete this bridge." Says Yusei. "I can't." Godwin says. "Why not?" Asks Yusei. "Because, that will cause Satellite's catastrophe to come into the City." Godwin says. "Satellite's catastrophe?" Asks Yusei. Godwin turns to face him. "The time has come for me to tell you the truth." Godwin says.

Meanwhile, outside the Impound. The two Security officers who responded to the robbery watch the D-Wheel get loaded onto a truck by crane. "Alright, alright. Just a little more."

The thief looks at a flashing readout built into the duel disk on his left arm. "As expected, they brought it for me. Heh." He looks up at the barred vents, high on the walls. "With this much baggage, I can't use the street that I came in." He backs up and looks down a hallway, pulls a set of goggles down over his eyes, now he can see that the hallway is crisscrossed with lasers. A number readout in the goggles scrambles to read 39:670. "Heh. Oh well. Here I go! Ha!" He runs straight down the hallway, setting off a dozen alarms.

At a Security HQ or guard station somewhere. "What is it?" "It's the corridor in the storage area! There's nothing on the security cameras! I'll change the channel." The thief appears on screen. "It's a fake screen! Emergency! Someone broke into the storage area!" "All workers, capture him! I repeat, someone broke into the storage area!"

The thief keeps running, now being chased by guards. "He's over here!" "Freeze!"

"You won't capture Crow!" Crow leaps, an arm up to shield his face, right through the plate-glass window at the end of the hall and flies through the air, surrounded by shards of broken glass. He then lands on the top of the truck that has arrived to carry away his D-Wheel, jumps off, pulls off his duel disk, in midair, and lands on his D-Wheel on top of it, pressing it into place. The slot lights up, illuminating the area around it and Crow's duel disk shapes itself into the console, curving in a circle around the deck portion. "Blackbird!" Says Crow. He puts on his helmet, black, with a yellow visor and a top spot that's red. "Thanks for bringing this here. I need it to escape!" Crow says.

"Hurry up and close it!"

Crow races toward the closing gate, kicking up sparks from his wheels. He never stops smiling, as the gates close. With a yell of effort, Crow jumps the fence at the last minute.

The officers gasp, in awe.

Crow grins even wider. As he lands, the officers open the gate again to pursue. "Don't let him escape! Hurry up and open the gate!"

Chasing Crow is a Security guy on a D-Wheel, plus two more in a car. "Don't underestimate its abilities!" Says Crow.

"I can't catch up! If we fail, I can't imagine what Ushio will say to us! Therefore, I force 'Speed World' to activate!"

Crow frowns down at the screen of his D-Wheel. It switches to duel mode, then shows him a rear-view camera of the officer chasing him. "Duel mode on. Autopilot standby." The computer says. "Hah! So you want to fight. If I'm in a Riding Duel, my speed is required to decrease. That's the only way he can catch up to me." Says Crow.

"Duel!" Both Crow and the officer say. Each duelist starts with 4000 life points.

"My turn!" The officer draws. "I summon Gate Blocker in defense position!"

Gate Blocker has 2000 defense points and is a Level 4 monster.

"Then, I set three cards and end my turn!"

"It's my turn!" Says Crow. He draws. "What? My Speed Counters don't increase?" Crow asks.

The officer's speed counters just increased from 0 to 1.

Crow's didn't move.

"Too bad! When Gate Blocker is on the field, you can't gain Speed Counters!"

"I see. That's an annoying card." Says Crow.

"Don't underestimate me, thief! These three set cards… The first card is 'Sakuretsu Armor'. It destroys your monster when it attacks! The next card is 'Dust Tornado'. It destroys your trap and spell cards! The final card is 'Intercept'. When you release a monster to summon a high-Level monster, I gain control of it! With these three cards, your monsters can't attack, you can't activate traps and you can't summon a high-Level monster! All your actions are blocked! I won't let you escape!" The officer thinks to himself.

The Gate Blocker ahead looms over Crow, but he draws, brashly, anyway. "I Special Summon Blackwing-Sirocco the Dawn!" Crow says.

Blackwing-Sirocco the Dawn has 2000 attack points and is a Level 5 monster.

"I can Special Summon this card from my hand when only you have monsters on the field. Then, I Special Summon Blackwing-Gale the Whirlwind!" Says Crow.

Blackwing-Gale the Whirlwind has 1300 attack points and is a Level 3 monster.

"I can Special Summon this card from my hand when I have a Blackwing on my field. Then, I summon Blackwing-Bora the Spear!" Crow says.

Blackwing-Bora the Spear has 1700 attack points and is a Level 4 monster.

"He instantly summoned three monsters." The officer thinks to himself. "However, you don't have any monsters on your field that are stronger than Gate Blocker's defense points!"

"Heh! Your Security Deck is nothing but a lame Rock Deck. It's not good enough to evade my attack! I activate Gale the Whirlwind's monster effect! One of your monster's defense points are halved!" Says Crow.

Gale the Whirlwind shoots a gust of wind at Gate Blocker and one layer of the Gate Blocker erodes, its defense points drop to 1000.

"Then from my hand, I activate the trap card 'Delta Crow-Anti Reverse'!" Crow says.

"From your hand?"

"He can activate a trap from his hand?" Asks all three officers.

"I can activate this trap from my hand when I have three or more Blackwings on my field! All set cards on your field are destroyed!" Crow says.

"What?"

"Next, I activate Sirocco the Dawn's monster effect! I select one Blackwing on my field. The non-selected monsters can't attack, but their attack points are added to the selected monster's attack points! Bora the Spear powers up by gaining the strengths of Sirocco the Dawn and Gale the Whirlwind!" Says Crow.

Bora the Spear's new attack point total is 5000.

"Five thousand attack points?"

"Then Bora the Spear's monster effect activates! When this attacks a monster in defense position, if its attack points are greater than your monster's defense points, the difference is dealt to you as damage! Take this! Black Spiral!" Crow says.

The officer yells. There's lots of yelling. There's a huge black tornado coming towards him. Life points go straight from 4000 to 0. A large red DEFEAT flashes on his D-Wheel monitor, he slows and stops.

The Security car carrying the two spectator officers continue pursuit. "That punk! I won't let you escape!" "There's a cliff up ahead! There's no way to escape!"

It's true, they're approaching a massive chasm that runs through the Satellite. Crow, though, is unfazed and beneath his helmet cracks a menacing grin. He speeds up.

"What's he doing?" "He's still going!"

As Crow races toward the chasm, there's a crossbar between the two rather large fins under his arms. He's approaching a dead drop, fearlessly. "Let's go, Blackbird!" Says Crow. On his D-Wheel screen a diagram is shown, as the large fins on his D-Wheel fold out to become wings for gliding. "Formation change." The computer says.

From above, the D-Wheel now resembles a black and yellow jet fighter.

Crow's racing toward the chasm, across which lies freedom, directly into the rising sun. "Fly!" Says Crow. He lifts the D-Wheel, as though jumping, an engine in the back that leaves a contrail kicks in and he's indeed flying through the air.

"He flew!" They can hardly believe their eyes.

Crow flies across the chasm, lands front-wheel-up on the other side, hits the ground riding and keeps going.

They screech to a halt short of the chasm. "What should we do?" "What can we do? The area ahead is outside our jurisdiction. That area is dangerous, even for us!" "You're right." "When Ushio returns, he'll be shocked."

The Neo Domino Hospital has seen better days. Behind the caution tape, the walls are all cracking and battered, like something out of the Satellite. The sound of typing can be heard.

Ushio suddenly comes to. "Ugh! Oh, rrrgh! Huh?" Ushio asks. He sees a huge hole in the ceiling and all the caution tape. "What's going on?" Asks Ushio.

Minako is typing at a reception desk of some kind nearby. She is unusually authoritative and cold, she is angry. "That's what I want to ask." Minako says. "I came to pick up the King. And Sakura, if she was with him." Says Ushio. "That's right. You fought against the King." Minako says, primly. "What?" Asks Ushio. Minako turns around the monitor she was working on, to show a security camera feed of the duel beginning. "Look at this!" Minako says. "Impossible." Says Ushio. "Our priority is to find these two women, the King and his son." Minako says. She takes a flash drive out of the monitor and into her pocket. "Hey! That security camera footage is evidence!" Says Ushio. Minako has her hands on her hips and she's glaring down at him out of the corner of her eye. "Are you an idiot? If someone sees this footage, it's the end for you and the King!" Minako says. She turns away, her long blonde hair flowing behind her.

Ushio stands up to follow her. "Understood." Says Ushio.

A thin, unfinished bridge arcs off into the distance over the sea, supported by crudely-constructed pylons, an unfamiliar area of the Satellite at dawn. Several little kids can be heard. The little kids are playing outside a plain, ramshackle sort of shed. Giant pipes are all around this area in the background.

There's a little boy, with spiky brown-violet hair and a red vest, and a little girl, with bright red hair and a faded pink dress, who are playing with a friendly-looking dog.

A little boy, with a blue shirt and a little girl, with a pink skirt, ragged blouse and an off-white bun holder, are playing tag, with duel disks in the far side of the building.

A little boy, with a lilac bandanna, is standing in front of the shack.

All of them hear the sound of a D-Wheel approaching.

Crow appears around the corner between the dense buildings.

Every face lights up. "Aha! Crow!" "It's Crow!" "Haha!" "Welcome home, Crow!" "Welcome home!" "Did you all behave?" Crow asks. "Yeah!" Says all the little kids. "Then I have gifts. Ta-daa!" Crow says. He pulls out some of the cards he stole earlier. "Hooray! Awesome!" Says all the little kids. "We can really have them?" "Yeah. The cards are happier being with you. But remember, don't do anything bad that attracts Security's attention. Or else, you'll have a face like mine! If you listen to what I say, I promise that I'll someday take you away from this place!" Crow says. "Right!" Says all the kids, cheering.

As Crow pushes his D-Wheel into the garage-hovel he calls home, the computer speaks to him, showing footage from the end of the Fortune Cup and Yusei standing at the center of the stadium, in triumph. "We have breaking news. His name is Yusei Fudo! It's the birth of a new King!" The computer says. "Hm! Yusei actually succeeded." Says Crow. He shrugs, ruefully. "That means the City duelists aren't very skilled." Crow says.

"Is this the truth you're talking about?" Asks Yusei. He rolls up his sleeve. Godwin glances at his arm and then glares out to sea. "That's right. The legend of the Crimson Dragon is five thousand years old." Godwin says. Yusei turns to watch him even closer. Godwin bows his head. "You're expecting me to believe that occult tale?" Asks Yusei. "Many unbelievable destinies exist in this world, Yusei." Godwin says. He turns to look at Yusei. "You met duelists with strange powers, didn't you? The Dark Signers." Says Godwin. "You know about the Dark Signers?" Yusei asks.

Flashback to the appearance of the glowing purple spider on the hooded drone's arm. "The man with the spider mark!" Says Yusei, in voice-over. The flashback ends.

Back to the present. "They are the enemies of the Signers. After five thousand years, their evil souls have resurrected. When the gates to the underworld open, the Signers and the Dark Signers will battle with the world at stake." Godwin says. "The world at stake?" Asks Yusei. "Ever since the creation of the world, Signers and Dark Signers have battled every five thousand years. The only way the Dark Signers can truly win is if they destroy the Crimson Dragon at its weakest, when it can't protect its host. In other words, you already know who I'm talking about Yusei." Godwin says. "You're talking about Sakura." Says Yusei. "Yes, that is correct. She is the Crimson Dragon's Host, out of all of you Signers, she's the most powerful. But, that doesn't make her invincible. That being said, she's in the most need of protection. As Signers, you and the other four Signers are meant to serve as both her loyal protectors and allies in battle. You must do all you can to protect her. They'll either try and destroy her, or they'll try to corrupt her." Godwin says. "You can believe me when I say I already have that covered. She's my sister, it's sort of my job to protect her when she needs it." Says Yusei. "Actually, I believe she's the one that's been protecting you, hasn't she? You and her may be half-twins, but she's older than you by, if memory serves me correctly, a day, two hours and twenty-five minutes. And isn't it usually the older sibling that protects the younger sibling? You need all the Signers in order to protect her, but also together you can give her the power to destroy the darkness." Godwin says.

The face of the Crimson Dragon, the six lesser dragons, Stardust, Archfiend, Cynder, Black Rose, Ancient Fairy and a yellow one, on top of that is a glowing geoglyph of a purple bird. "In the battle five thousand years ago, the People of the Stars used the power of the six dragons that served the Crimson Dragon to seal the evil god in the land of Nazca and close the gate to the underworld." Says Godwin, in voice-over.

In the early morning. Luca, still asleep in her bed at Saiga's place, is having a vivid nightmare. She moans, shakes and clutches at her blankets, completely terrified. Luca is reliving the battle Godwin's describing.

The Army of Darkness, barely visible forms wreathed in black fog, glowing red, green, orange, yellow and blue, back to a stream of familiar red flying towards them and disappears. After it shoots six beams of light, light blue for Stardust, red for Archfiend, black, tinted with purple for Cynder, pink/purple for Black Rose, green for Ancient Fairy and yellow for the unknown dragon. The Crimson Dragon leads the six into battle. The six dragons fight, valiantly, breathing streams of colored light. The Crimson Dragon bells, mightily. As the beams hit, the shadow-monsters begin to crumble away, as though they are made of charcoal. The separate pieces of darkness rain down, glowing purple as they fall. The sky is full of them, like a rain of meteors. One of them, glowing red like hot coals, shoots something white out of it and Ancient Fairy Dragon is ensnared by a 'web', swiftly, fluttering her butterfly wings and roaring, futilely, as she is dragged towards the ground.

Luca clutches at her blankets, teeth clenched, moaning, as she relives her dragon's fall, somnolent.

As the thing that captured Ancient Fairy Dragon disappears into the earth, a huge dome of light appears above it, into which Ancient Fairy Dragon is pulled and vanishes. Soon all that remains is the ground covered with the markings of the beasts, the Nazca Lines. "Afterwards, the Crimson Dragon was separated into six pieces and sealed away in the human world." Godwin says, in voice-over. The Seal of the Crimson Dragon glows, white against black. As it comes around to the tail, the visual fades.

To become the sign on Yusei's arm, as he stares at it. "This is that seal and the mark on the Dark Signer's arm was Nazca lines." Says Godwin.

Flashback to the drone's glowing spider mark. The flashback ends.

Back to the present. "Why is the battle between the Signers and Dark Signers happening again now?" Yusei asks. "You know about Moment that's located underground below Kaiba Corporation. It's a dream machine that continually creates positive energy." Says Godwin.

Flashback. The original Moment was a massive, spinning centrifuge of light, much like the recent one. "But long before its creation, the first version of Moment was in the deepest area under Satellite. Seventeen years ago, the Moment Investigation and Development Section, also known as MIDS, turned on the first version of Moment when its control system was still incomplete." Godwin says, in voice-over. A hand opens a glass box on a control panel and turns a key in the slot beneath it to activate the reactor. Scientists watch from below, as the spinning speeds up and glows brighter. Then the dials start tilting too far and the beautiful moment starts to look like a disaster. "They did so because they believed the City's prosperity was more important. Then a tragedy occurred." Says Godwin, in voice-over. A column of light bursts upward into the unnatural purple clouds above and spreads out from the point it began, demolishing everything in its path! The column of white light is now a couple blocks in diameter, still shooting into the clouds above. Below, the streets are cracking open, buildings are toppling over, parts of the area are flooding, some toppled buildings sinking underwater entirely. "Moment was supposed to have positive spin, but it began having negative spin." Godwin says, in voice-over. When the blaze of light subsides, the Satellite is as we know it today, a destroyed cityscape on a little island isolated by sea. Next, the surface of the earth from space and a beam of light shoots up from it, beyond the atmosphere. "At the same time, Nazca emitted incredible energy. It emitted the same amount of energy as Moment. When the Dark Signers appear, the gates to the underworld will also open." Says Godwin, in voice-over. The flashback/vision ends.

Back to the present. "After five thousand years, the seal on the Dark Signers has weakened. The old Moment began reacting with the gates to the underworld. I confirmed that the five thousand year old battle was going to take place here once again." Godwin says. Yusei lowers his gaze from him and bows his head a bit. "In order to close the gates to the underworld, the Dark Signers must be defeated because they're guarding the gates. That's why I created the Fortune Cup in order to awaken the power of the Signers, as well as initiating the true awakening of the Crimson Dragon." Says Godwin. "What happens if we lose the battle against the Dark Signers?" Yusei asks. "The world will change. It will be a world of the afterlife. It's a world we know as Hell." Says Godwin.

Flashback. The five Signers ride or fly over a vision of a massive glowing purple spider wrought over the Satellite. Below them, the landscape is engulfed in purple flames. "That's the vision I saw." Yusei says, in voice-over. The flashback ends.

Back to the present. "If the battle is going to take place at Satellite, then evacuate the citizens immediately!" Says Yusei. "I can't do that. If there's no one in Satellite, they'll change the battle venue to the City in order to find new sacrifices. That will get even more people involved." Godwin says. "You knew about that and still created Satellite?" Asks Yusei.

He's thinking of Rally, Blitz, Taka and Nerve.

"You don't care if the citizens of Satellite are sacrificed!" Yusei says. Godwin points toward the opposite end of the bridge, dramatically. "Do you want to save Satellite, Yusei? Then stop the Dark Signers! Stop them with the power of the Signers!" Says Godwin. "With our power?" Yusei asks. Godwin turns away from him. "Wait! What about my sister? If we fail, what happens to her?" Asks Yusei. "Your sister will suffer. If she gets taken by the Dark Signers and brought down to where their hiding, then she suffers. The Crimson Dragon could get turned to the Dark Signer's side, as well as her along with it. That's what the Dark Signers want, is for the other Signers defense to be off guard so they can get to her and make her one of them. Do you really want her to suffer? You don't want to lose her again, do you?" Godwin asks. "No, I couldn't bear it if something were to happen to her. I can't lose her again. Wait! You said there were six Signers, the Crimson Dragon's Host included. There's one person missing!" Says Yusei. "I guarantee that the person will eventually show up. The signs that mark up your sister's body are complete, I guarantee it." Godwin says.

The wind whips up, a large helicopter transport, open and with Yusei's D-Wheel in the cargo compartment, hovers up at the end of the bridge.

Godwin, standing in front of this gateway to the Satellite, looks rather impressive. "That's destiny!" Says Godwin.

Within the dark crater at the center of the Satellite, light trickles down from above onto a large metal spire, faintly. The three Dark Signers, dressed in black robes, trimmed in red, yellow and blue, respectfully, stand before the spire. "After five thousand years, humanity has once again created a tower for foolish rituals. This time, we will become the rulers of the world! Hmhahahahahahaha!"

Jack's sleeping, fitfully, perhaps having the same dream as Luca, and awakens. He sits up in bed, momentarily confused. Jack's arm is still in a sling. "I…" Jack says.

Flashback. "A-a…" Says Carly. "It's my and…" Jack says. "And my…" Says Carly. "Turn!" Both Jack and Carly say. The flashback ends.

Back to the present. "I remember." Says Jack. He looks over at Jace, who's asleep in the bed, curled up with his stuffed toy. Jack smiles, slightly, and pats at his son's head, lightly, brushing at his hair. He then remembers that Sakura had shown up there too and looks around for her.

Jack soon finds her asleep in a different room, her long coat isn't with her this time, but her cloak is hanging up on the bed post, while her gloves and arm bracelets have been placed on the bedside table, showing her bare arms for once. Grim's lying on the floor near the foot of the bed, asleep. Jack sits down on the side of the bed, just watching over Sakura, protectively. He looks down at a long, jagged scar that goes vertically down her whole left arm, it begins at the top of her hand, just after her knuckles, and ends at her bicep. This scar looks to be older than the rest of Sakura's scars. Jack seems to know this scar very well, too. She actually has a total of sixteen scars along her arms and hands, one that runs horizontally across each bicep and tricep, two run diagonally around her right forearm, just below her elbow, nearly intersecting each other, one diagonally across the center of her left forearm, one that goes diagonally across the back of each hand and wrist, which both intersect with a scar that curves through her thumbs, just before the knuckle, and each finger on her right hand has a scar that loops around it, just before the knuckles, while the left hand has one the runs horizontally across her knuckles. Jack reaches and touches the marking on Sakura's face, tracing it, gingerly. "I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine what you've been through in the last year. If I wouldn't have done what Godwin asked me to do and not been thinking of myself, none of this would've happened to you." Jack thinks to himself. He then looks at the left-wing sign burned into Sakura's bare right forearm, which looks almost identical to the right-wing sign that's burned into his own forearm. Jack's looking at all the additional markings that are visible on her arms and hands, and the new symbol that's etched along her forehead. He places his good hand on the symbol burned into Sakura's forehead, gently, moving her bangs around a bit. "She didn't have this one before." Jack thinks to himself. Sakura suddenly starts whimpering, shaking. She seems as terrified as Luca was, but probably not the exact same dream as her. Jack moves his good hand to Sakura's shoulder, looking rather concerned. "Sakura." Jack says, worriedly.

Sakura suddenly awakens, bumping the side of her head into his forehead, dead-on, making them both reach for their heads. They're both wide awake for sure. Their heads then start to cease from the pain and they then bring their attention to each other.

Grim wakes up and looks over at them.

"What are you doing in here, Jack?" Asks Sakura. "I was just checking on you. Apparently, a little too well." Jack says. "Apparently." Says Sakura.

In another room. Carly has fallen asleep on her face at the table, it's obvious what she's dreaming about, as knocking is heard in the background. "My fortune… Draw!" Carly says, sleep-talking. She then wakes up. "Hm? I'm coming! Yes?" Asks Carly.

Minako and Ushio are at the door. "Who are you?" Carly asks. Minako all but ignores her and strides past into the room without an invitation. "Excuse me." Says Minako.

"Uh…" Carly says. "Sorry about what happened before. We're from the Public Maintenance Department." Says Ushio. Carly is not much comforted.

"We know who you are… and we know that you and another woman kidnapped Master Atlas and his son! Give Master Atlas and his son back to us. He still needs medical attention." Minako says.

"It's not that girl's fault. I asked for her help." Says Jack. Suddenly, he's towering over Minako, she's dither and shy again. Sakura's directly beside Jack, with Grim standing at her side. "Master Atlas… So you were here. Let's go back." Minako says. "Where can I go back to? Besides, I'm no longer the King." Says Jack. "Master Atlas…" Minako says. "I'll stay here. You guys leave!" Says Jack. "But…" Minako says. "Enough! Don't order me around! You don't know me anyway!" Says Jack. He doesn't notice the look on Minako's face, it's a miracle she isn't crying. Sakura sees it, though, Jack went a bit too far with this one. "Jack, I can understand where your coming from. However, Minako's not the one to blame for any of this." Sakura says. She places one of her hands on Jack's good shoulder, gently. He's listening to Sakura, though. "She is just doing her job." Says Sakura. Jack then turns his attention to her. "What about your scars, your willing to let all that go? I'm actually surprised…" Jack says, his voice has gone softer almost automatically. Sakura is not happy anymore, she is almost furious with him.

Minako, Carly and even Ushio knows that even though Jack didn't say it in a harsh way, it still came out almost arrogantly.

"Your surprised about what, Jack? That I lived though it all? Or that I was able to accept everything that has happened to me? To answer your question, no. I shall never forgive Godwin for what he has done to me, to all of us. However, I guess you haven't learned anything yet." Says Sakura. She lifts up her hands and arms, looking down at the scars that mark her flesh. "Wounds heal, however, scars never go away. I have no choice but to accept these for what they are, because they shall be there for the rest of my life, and the only person to blame for it is yourself. A majority of the scars that mark up my body are because of you, due to your own selfishness. Maybe that shall sink into that arrogant, self-centered, reject of a once pathetic King brain of yours." Sakura says, furiously. Jack doesn't respond, he knew he had it coming to him.

The other three are almost all shocked at that comment, if anyone else would have said that to him, he would of went off on them, but with Sakura, nothing.

She then lowers her arms and walks past Jack, heading back to the room she was recently in, with Grim following alongside her.

He tries reasoning with Sakura and manages to get a hold of her arm, but as soon as he gets a hold of it, she pulls it away and faces him. Grim suddenly turns and snaps at Jack, making him back off a bit. He then just keeps growling at him, until Sakura shushes him with a simple stroke to the head. "Look, I'm sorry… about everything. I'm sorry for what I've done to you, but you have to believe me. I've changed, really I have." Says Jack. "No, no you haven't. You haven't changed one bit. You know, I actually thought you had a heart when you started showing me kindness. However, now I don't know what to think anymore. I don't think you do have one, maybe you would rather be best as a Dark Signer than a Signer." Sakura says. She then slams the door in Jack's face.

He knows that he deserved all of it, though.

Minako then decides to say something. "Jack, you have to realize that Sakura is still sensitive about all that's happened to her. The scars that she has may not hurt her anymore, but you still can." Says Minako, trying to sound gentle. "Don't bother me! I'm staying here!" Jack says.

Ushio and Carly are watching, silently. "Oh..." Says Carly. "What's with this turn of events? Is she Jack's girlfriend? Am I involved in this? Am I in a love triangle?" Carly thinks to herself, elated. "Understood, Master Atlas. I'll leave for today. Mph!" Minako says. She huffs, lightly, walking past Ushio and Carly, who stand aside and out the door, glaring a bit at the latter as she goes.

"Umm, I'm leaving too!" Says Ushio, awkwardly. He makes a hasty exit. "Please wait, Minako!" Ushio says.

"Uh…" Says Carly. "I don't understand what's going on, but I feel like I totally won!" Carly thinks to herself. She then makes a girly giggle.

"Leave me alone." Jack says. He turns and walks back into the room from which he came, closing the door.

In the room Sakura's in, she's fallen back to sleep. Grim's lying on the floor at the side of the bed, asleep.

A shadowed figure appears near Sakura's bedside, standing there. It's one of the robed guys, he's got the blue trim. He then walks closer to Sakura, getting on the bed, crawling, carefully, trying not to wake her or Grim. He then puts his hand and arm over her, not touching her at all. "Soon, you'll be all mine. I'll soon get my revenge on you. But first, your brother will get his. Hmhmhmhmhmhm." He thinks to himself. He then disappears, not to be seen again.

Meanwhile, Yusei's transport vessel is soaring down on a familiar skyline. As the cargo hatch opens, he's illuminated. Yusei's sitting on his D-Wheel, helmet on and visor down, back to the opening hatch. His D-Wheel screen turns on, apparently on standby, with a green dotted circle in the middle. Yusei leans forward, ready to ride, accelerates and backs down the ramp created by the hatch, into thin air.

Yusei drops, in free-fall, to the Satellite a significant drop below, hits the ground riding by landing on his back wheel, swerves a bit and comes to a halt. Yusei's somewhere in a dump. "Huh?" Asks Yusei. He looks up.

Crow's sitting on his D-Wheel, helmet on, atop a pile of trash, looming above. "Hmhmhmhm!" Crow snickers. He's atop the trash heap, looking down, silhouetted in murky Satellite sunlight.

Yusei's at the bottom of it, dust and fog swirling around his wheels.

Showdown.
