Chapter 5-

Amber sprints off into the garden and I scramble after her shouting, "Sissy! Wait up!"She turns around, her 12 year old face glowing in pleasure. I grin back at my loveable little sister and am about to reply when something catches my eye. A dark figure lurks in the background, creeping towards my little sister. A scream bubbles at the back of my throat, but the thing pounces before I can let it out. The creature tears Amber apart. Blood and gore spatter my face as it mauls her. I want to help, but I know that there isn't a thing that I can do. But I still try. I leap toward the creature with a scream of anger. I land on its cloth-covered back and wrap my arms around its neck, trying to strangle the last breath of life from its body. It whirls around, trying to shake me off. Eventually, it manages to. I land in the dirt with a thud. I glance up and see the creature's face. What I see shocks me. The creature isn't even really a creature. It's a boy, only a few years older than my seventeen years. A handsome one too, with dark brown hair, pale skin, and blue eyes like flints of steel. Well, he's handsome at least until you glance down toward his mouth. His mouth is stretched into a freakishly wide grin and blood, my sister's blood, drips down from it. He stalks toward me and I scream again, but this time in fear. I know the end is coming. The boy lunges toward me, and I squeeze my eyes shut. Oh god oh god oh god I'm going to die! I know it! He's going to tear me into litt-

"TORI!"
My eyes fly open and I strike out with my left arm, trying desperately to ward off the person who is surely about to attack me. I make contact with flesh and bone. Baldo wheels backward cursing at what surely is a thousand miles a minute. I sit, shell shocked like a fish out of water. Where am I? I brush my fingertips over the smooth satin and glance around at the luxurious furnishings of the room. Phantomhive Manor. But that doesn't make any sense. I died, and I accepted that. Wait, why would I accept that? The main instinct of animal nature is survival. And then all the events of that bloody night crash down on me. Sebastian. Sebastian is dead. I close my eyes again, hoping that death might actually come and greet me after two centuries of roaming this godforsaken planet. Baldo, probably rubbing his ass, comes over and shake me roughly by the shoulders.

"Tori, goddamit wake the hell up! You've been sleeping like the dead for 'he past 4 days!"

I open my eyes and glare at the blonde chef in front of me.

"Excuse me. I'm trying to die here, if you didn't notice."

"Enough of that crap. Ciel wants to see you, and he wants to go hunt down Grell's treacherous ass…I 'eard that 'as a nasty fight you got into with him."

"Ciel? Ciel should have died right along with me. I failed to stop either Grell or Madam Red."

"Hmph. I 'eard a fellow named William er some such put a right end to 'he fight."

William? As in the lead grim reaper or whatever the hell he was?

"But 'uts done's done and Ciel really would like ta see ya now. I'd 'spect ya'd want some revenge for what 'hat bastard did eh?"

My eyes flutter close as I remember that dark day. Killing Grell is rather tempting…no, not tempting. Its necessary for my sanity. For what he did to that butler. My fists clench so tightly that I dig my fingernails into flesh, and blood spurts out of the puncture wounds. Baldo looks a bit nervous once he sees the demonic gleam in my violet eyes.

"'Ey, ya might wanna calm down a bit Tori. You're gonna pierce right through your hand if you continue doin' that."

I don't reply, I simply open my eyes and pull back my lips into a smile that resembles a leer and lick the ruby blood off of my hands. There's a grim reaper to kill.
