Note- I'm sorry it took to long to update. I wasn't sure I was going to finish
but I fig I at least try so here goes.
Dinner
As Logan was setting the table and waiting for the kids, they were all talking
amiably until Isabella said, "Duncan told me some stuff about when he
disappeared with Lilly. I love my husband, but he didn't do it alone. Celeste
seems to think you were the master mind. How did you do it?" She was happy to
see their reaction. Logan dropped a plate, and Duncan looked mad.
Veronica looked at her for a minute and answered "Celeste thinks a lot of things
but no I didn't master mind anything."
Isabella just smiled and replied "I was just woundering, I mean it had to be
hard for Duncan to do all alone. It's all like something out of a best selling
novel."
Logan looking angry sat down and said "We know you guys and Lilly have been
through a lot but I'm sorry we can't help you, so it's best if we just change
the subject."
Veronica smiled at her husband and turned towards Lilly "How do you like
Neptune?"
Lilly shrugged and answered "it's okay, I miss my old school and friends."
Duncan laughed "I keep telling her give it time she'll meet new friends."
Lilly groans "All the kids who go to my school are all stuck up."
Lynn a little annoyed looks over at Lilly smiling "how would you know you spent
most of the day today ignoring everyone."
Lilly just glared at her while the adults all started laughing. Veronica looked
over at all three kids and said "maybe you two can help her make some friends."
Lo and Lynn both looked at their mother and replied in union "Yes mom"
Echools front porch.
Once the Kane's left. Logan was sitting in the back yard swing thinking when
Veronica sat down next to him and said "I'm sorry."
Logan turned towards her "why?"
Veronica cuddled into her husband and answered "I keep putting you through all
this stuff. Maybe it would have been better for you if I just didn't come back
after my FBI internship."
Logan stared at her for a long moment and asked "Are you telling me you regret
are life together, are kids?"
Veronica pulled away and looked into his eyes. "Never!" She answered.
Logan pulled away from her alittle more and asked "what was that about then?"
Veronica smiled at him and put her hand on his check."You have no idea how much
I've loved you. That first kiss you surprised me with at Camelot. I knew you
were the one I've been waiting for."
Logan pulled away from her touch and simply said "but?"
Veronica mimicked his "but?" And replayed "Logan you deserve so much more then
me. I put you through so much with the serial killer and now with my mom and the
whole Duncan thing."
Logan pulled her into his arms and hugged her. "Veronica, I love you more then
my own life. You and are kids mean everything to me. All that is stuff didn't
make me love you any less. I'm not going anywhere."
Veronica looked at him "you promise?"
Logan smiled at her and said "Our love is epic. Spanning years and continents.
Lives ruined, bloodshed. EPIC.
Across town
A women walked up to a silver BMW and handed the driver an envelope. "Here is
what we agreed on." When the driver reached for the envelope she pulled back
"Your sure no one saw you and there is no evidence."
The driver laughed "like I told the other women I'm a professional."
"Whatever I don't care as long as it doesn't come back on me." She replied
walking away.
