Chapter 7
Veronica walked into her house to see the kids sitting on there big couch
watching a Horror movie. "Hey guys were is your dad?"
Lynn looked up " hey mommy. I think he's in his office."
Veronica looked towards the stairs when they heard a frustrated scream. Then
figured he needed sometime alone so she sat in between her kids who snuggled
into their mom as they all watched the movie and fell asleep.
An hour later Logan came down and walked into the kitchen and asked Veronica
"what time did you get home? And were is Ryan? " when he didn't get an answer he
looked closer at them and smiled as he grabbed his camera to snap pictures. He
was taking his third Picture when it woke up veronica.
"What are you doing? " she asked
Logan smiled at her "getting inspired to write and Taking a new favorite photo."
Veronica moved the kids over a little and walked towards Logan "why would that
be your new favorite picture? " Logan showed her the picture in the camera "the
women I'm completely in love with holding our three children." He said rubbing
her stomach.
Veronica kissed him "I love you so much."
Logan looked at her seriously "were are the guards? We talked about this until
things calm down. "
Veronica cut him off by finishing his sentience "we have to be protected at all
times. There out side Okay ." Logan wasn't amused at all. "Okay baby I'm sorry."
Veronica said as she walked into hug him. "How was your day with dick and the
kids."
Logan chuckled I ran into Parker her and piz are having problems."
Veronica looked up "is she okay?"
"She seemed okay when she left, How was your lunch with Mac?"
"U'm great. Until we ran into Duncan's wife. Part of me feels bad for her but
there's something off about her."
"Sorry for her." He questioned
Duncan said she can't have kids."
Logan looked at her again "okay so what?"
Veronica pulled away from him " I don't know maybe it's hormones."
Logan pulled her back into his arms and laughed "it's okay to be happy for what
were lucky enough to have Veronica. I am so grateful to who ever or whatever
that's up there that we have two completely healthy children and that your
pregnancy is going so perfect. Even better I got to create them with my soul
mate."
Veronica looked at him with her eyes tearing up " I love you so much."
Logan hugged her tighter "trust me I'm the lucky one."
They stayed that way another second when her cell phone rang with cliffs
ring."hey cliff what's up? Okay thank you." As she hung up she looked at Logan
again "cliff says there not pursuing a case against me. But they want me to
testify against Duncan. "
Logan shrugged "works for me."
"Logan I can't testify." She replied.
"Yes you can." He said as he walked into the kitchen.
Veronica groaned "Oh by the way were going to dinner tomorrow with them ,dick
and Mac."
Logan walked back out and yelled "hell no!"
Kane's
Duncan And Lilly walked into the Kane's new estate that Jake and Celeste had
purchased when they heard about Duncan capture. Isabella and Celeste were
having a discussion about what Duncan's lawyer told her.
Duncan sat down the couch "what now?" He asked
"your girlfriends lawyers got her out of it because of no evidence."
Isabella said cataly.
Duncan smiled "that's great. "
Celeste looked at him "they want her to testify against you."
Duncan just got up and nodded as he left the room.
Celeste looked at her daughter in law " were are we on the plan." Isabella
smiled " were on track. Were supposed to have dinner with them and two other
friends. "
Celeste shook her head mad "what is that going to help? "
Isabella smiled "what we can't be friends." She said as she walked up the
stairs.
Wallace
Wallace and the two kids were siting in a Booth waiting for Jackie to arrive.
when he looked up and saw Eli and Carmen and smiled. He heard his daughter
scream as she saw her mom "mommy mommy. "
Jackie picked her up and carried her to the table "hi guys." She said as she
turned to her son can I have a hug." He shook his head no and said "hi mom"
Wallace got up from the table " okay have a nice dinner I'll be back at ten."
Jackie got up and followed him to the door "thank you for the time with them. I
was thinking maybe sometime we can talk ourselves. "
Wallace shook his head "you have my numbers if they need me." He said as he
left.
The guys
Logan and dick were sitting at the bar talking when Wallace walked in "why are
you two here?"Wallace asked as he sat down next to Logan?"
Logan took a shot and replied "your sisters crazy."
Wallace laughed as he ordered a drink an said "is that a news flash. I thought
you liked that."
Logan shook his head and took another shot " dude she wants to have another
dinner with Duncan and his wife from hell."
Dick who's been silent so far looked at Logan "it won't be that bad Mac and I
will be there. "He said as Logan took two more shots. Dick looked at Wallace
"you should slow down a little. "
Wallace nodded and asked "I thought you stooped drinking all together when
Veronica was pregnant with lo at least that's what you had our dad believing ?"
Logan shook his head "I'm fine okay mommy and daddy. And I did stop just not
completely. " then he laughed it's been what two years since my last drink? " he
asked dick
Dick shook his head "I don't know but Veronica will kill me if your wasted."
"I might just kill all three of you." They all heard from behind them. With out
turning around Logan smiled and replied "hi Keith. How are you tonight?"
Keith ordered coffee and handed it to Logan "better when you sober up and go
talk to your wife who's very worried about you."
Logan laughed "I'm surprised she has time to with all the time she spends in
Duncan land." Keith looked confused "she told me she was testify against him
because you and cliff want her to." Then he hit Logan in the back of his head
"that was first making my pregnant daughter cry. She's really upset that you
left. "
Logan looked at Keith now "she was crying?" He asked. Keith nodded then smiled
when Logan ordered another back coffee.
Dick looked over at Wallace "your turn why are you here nursing a beer ?" as he
took a sip of beer. "Jackie has the kids. I noticed you two idiots. " Wallace
laughed " Oh hey v will be happy that Carmen and Eli are on another date tonight
I saw them at Luigi . "
Logan got up and said "Ya well I'll tell her if she's talking to me. As it is
I'm probably sleeping on the couch. I really should call a cab and check on
her."
Keith got up "I'll drive you. I should get home anyway be careful you two."
Logan
Keith pulled up in the driveway and looked at Logan "are you okay to go inside?"
Logan nodded "Ya I'm fine. See can touch my nose and all."
Logan walked to the door but heisted as he put the key in the door. He took a
deep breath and opened the door to see Ryan sitting on his couch." Thanks for
staying here so late."
Ryan smiled "getting over time is always good. " he said as he put on his
shoes. He walked to the door and said " we will be here in the morning. Good
luck."
Logan walked up stairs and opened his bed room door. He saw Veronica who seemed
to have falling asleep reading. Logan picked up the book and her eyes opened
"Logan" she yawned.
He kissed her head "Ya babe go back to sleep."
Veronica got up on her knees "were have you been?" Logan pushed hair behind her
ear "with Wallace and dick."
Veronica pushed his hand away "How much have you had to drink?"
Logan got up and walked into their bathroom "I'm fine. Do I look drunk."
Veronica got up and followed him "I told cliff I'd testify. " she said from the
door as he brushed his teeth. "I'm sorry about our fight before. "
Logan put the brush in the holder and turned around to look at her " me two." He
walked over to her and kissed her forehead again "go to bed Ill check on the
kids and make sure the alarms on."
Veronica looked at him for a second "that's it? I was expecting a fight."
Logan laughed "I hate fighting with you. Can we just not this once please."
