Chapter 9
Veronica and Logan walked in their house to see Carmen siting on the couch with
the girls doing nails and talking. Carmen looked up "Oh hey I thought you were
Jason again checking on the kids. That was a fast dinner?"
Veronica replied "Ya did the kids eat? "
Carmen shook her head no." I was just about time get a pizza. Eli's and Wallace
are in the back yard with all boys and Angela's upstairs in the guest room
sleeping."
They all looked up at the door when it opened and dick and Mac came in followed
by Jason who looked at Logan "it's okay Jason thanks." He replied
Mac looked at Veronica "what happen to Ryan? "
"Jason's the kids guard. " she replied as Mac nodded.
Dick was more interested in why they left the restaurant "dude what happen? "
Logan shook his head and looked at Lynn "Lynn go tell your brother were home.
And ask what they want if they want pizza?"
Lynn pouted "but daddy. " but she quickly stopped when Logan gave her his mad
look.
Cassie whispered "wow he's mad."
Lynn grabbed Cassie's hand and yelled "lo mom and dad are home and daddy's
pissed. "
they heard as Veronica yelled " mouth young lady."
Eli and Wallace walk in and Eli asked "well how's Duncan? "
Logan laughed " horrible. " he replied looking at Veronica.
Dick laughed "it is kinda funny Logan stole Veronica from Duncan and now his
wife wants him bad. "
Veronica turns around to face Logan who's hitting dick. "Okay one I DIDNT STEAL
VERONICA FROM DUNCAN! " he stopped and continued " two she's crazy. She kept
asking questions and every two minutes her hand would appear places. Duncan on
the other hand only talked about you. It was like some bad swingers date."
Veronica looking madder now "I'm sorry her hand was were?" She asked.
Flashback
They were sitting waiting for the Veronica and Mac to come back from the
bathroom.
Duncan looked at Logan "how's Veronica doing with the pregnancy?"
Logan and Isabella both gave him a look as Logan answered "great."
Dick who was just sitting there laughing for a second asked Duncan something
Logan wasn't listing to because he felt a hand on his thigh. He put his head up
and said "seriously "to himself as the hand moved up and up. He moved her hand
off of his leg. "did you lose something?"
Isabella shook her head as dick and Duncan looked at them. Isabella got up "I
should go see what's taking them so long."
dick leaned into Logan and said "what did she lose?"
Logan shook his head and said "her mind." Them he looked at Duncan "maybe this
wasn't a great idea. You know with our wives."
Duncan nodded "I still think you and I should talk about stuff and clear the
air." as he said that the girls sat back down.
End flashback
As they talked lo came into the room "Dad" Logan turned around "Ya let me guess
veggie for you and Cassie and pepperoni for Lynn and Ricky,T."
Lo said "yes" as he grabbed sodas.
Mac smiled he still won't eat meat?
Veronica laughed " not since he was five and someone let him see a video on how
they make chicken for fast-food places ."
Logan laughed "I didn't hear him come in."
Mac laughing as well said "hey what's wrong with being a vegetarian?"
They all started to laugh.
Duncan
"What happen tonight?"he asked his wife.
Isabella walked towards the dresser and shook her head "nothing their all
uptight. " then she thought for a second "how much do you think Logan works
out?"
Duncan getting angry now "what's your infatuation with Logan? " Isabella smiled
"the same as yours with h.i.s. w.i.f.e." she replied stretching out the words
his wife.
Then she turned back around and said you know your girlfriend is investigating
me?"
Duncan shook his head "for what?
Now that she's not being charged with anything. She's focusing on her mom. "
Isabella picked up a flower vase and tossed it at the wall "stop defending her.
She wants to blame me and your mom for her mom and all this mess. It's her
fault to begun with."
Duncan matching her anger "how is what I did her fault?" Isabella laughed "are
you ever going to not want Veronica?"
Duncan backed away from her "I don't want Veronica. "
Isabella shouted "yes you do! I know it and her husband knows it." She
stopped a second to try and calm down then said "you and I haven't had sex in
two months Duncan. What's even worse is the last time we did you called me
Veronica. " then she laughed walking towards the door "what do you think she
yells out." She spat out as she left.
Back at the Echolls house
When the pizzas came the group kind of split into three groups the guys in the
kitchen and the women in the family room with the kids in the back yard with
Jason.
Guys
Dick laughed "so how was your night since the dinner from he'll sucked?" he said
towards Wallace and Eli.
Eli smiled "I had a great day shops doing great. Carmen and I are going out
again tomorrow."
He pointed to Wallace "he's the one with issues. "
Wallace who was eating a piece of pizza looked at him "it's not issues I told
you Jackie and I need to talk and clear stuff up. We need to make the divorce
final." Wallace looked up at Logan "that's kind of why I came over. Can you and
v keep t and Angie tomorrow night?"
Logan nodded "sure anytime."
Girls
Mac looked at Veronica "so what's the plan bond. She did kinda tell us she was
on to us. Veronica shrugged "so we step it up and listen to that bug we sent it
Polly. She'll never know we're listening. " then she looked at Carmen "spill it
how was your night. I noticed Eli is here."
Carmen blushed "it was great. I always have fun with him."
Mac smiled "how much fun?"
Carmen blushed more "we kissed a little that's it. Were going out tomorrow. "
Veronica laughed "I knew you guys were great together. "
mac nodded "you guys have been out everynight this week."
Kids
T looked at his cousin "Hey lo I ran into Michael and abby Went-worth
yesterday. Mike still hates you. Abby on the other hand wants to know if you
asked anyone to the dance yet." T laughed
lo shrugged "Mike's all talk. As for Abby I'm so not interested. "
They heard a "thank God " from behind them when the guys turned around Lynn
smirked " sorry we were talking. "
Ricky laughed and looked at t "lo had a crush on Lilly Kane." Then they heard
Cassie drop her soda.
Ricky shook his head as lo answered "I don't get crushes I just think she's
interesting. She's the only girl at school who has her own mind."
Ricky laughed "Ya interesting. She's not doing everything you say. " He said as
he saw his sister who looked really upset and about to cry. He frowned and
tried to change the subject. "Hey lo did you finish the English thing?"
Lo looked at him "Mr book worm didn't do the English home work?"
Ricky shrugged "I'm not Bookworm and I might even ask Michelle to the dance."
Lo smiled at t" awe he's growing up."
Back in the house
The guys walked into the family room as the girls were talking "hey Veronica
apparently were watching t and Angie tomorrow Wallace has a date with Jackie.
Logan interrupted.
Wallace who wasn't amused sat down next to her "I keep telling you guys were
done. I want her to sign the papers."
Dick smiled "you should at least try counseling it worked for these two." He
said as he pointed to Veronica and Logan.
Wallace shook his head " that only works if both are equally invested in the
marriage. It's give and take Logan worked on his anger and v on her need for
adrenaline. They both put there family first v even gave up the FBI the job she
loved because Logan and the kids meant more to her. That's the kind of
commitment I want. A partnership were right or wrong there behind you."
Veronica hugged her brother " we love you Wallace and well always be here what
ever happens." She said as the phone rang.
Logan answered and looked at Veronica " your mom's awake."
