Chapter 16: Dark Shadows

Back at his chamber, the gang was staring down at Riley with angry looks.
Kelly then replied, "Make her young again!"
Riley then replied, "Why should I?"
Blackhawk put her hands around his neck and replied, "We made a deal and you lost, so do it or after I do the ritual, I'll jab that stupid staff right up your ass!"
As she let go, Riley then replied, "As you wish."
Suddenly, the staff and the kids began to glow and a minute later, Christina was young and nimble again and Riley was old and wrinkly.
Lucas looked at his daughter and replied, "Glad to be young again, baby girl?"
Christina smiled and replied, "Damn right I am."
Blackhawk then replied, "Lets leave this smelly place!"
Suddenly, they all vanished into nothing.

Back at Ginny's apartment, the gang was still keeping their eye on Riley.
Ashley then replied, "Good win, honey. I'm so proud of you and your deck right now."
She smiled and replied, "Thank you so much, mom. I'll look foward to helping you again if you need me."
Kevin then replied, "Make sure Judge Hendricks knows that we need a life sentence in the jail area, hon."
Blackhawk nodded and replied, "I'll let him know as soon as I see him, dad."
Ginny walked up to her and replied, "See you again, sis."
Blackhawk smiled back at her and replied, "You too, sis."
They both hugged each other and she took a duel monsters card out of her pocket and she replied, "I found this card in the future and I thought of you for using it. I think you have the right monsters."
Ginny took the card and it was another Synchro and she read and she smiled and replied, "I indeed have the right cards, sis."
Blackhawk then replied, "Cool. Until later, bye!"
Suddenly, a portal opened up and she smiled and replied, "Ready for a long time behind bars, you jerk?"
Riley then replied, "Kiss my ass."
Suddenly, they both walked into the portal and then it closed up and Kevin then replied, "We'll keep the staff at our house for the time being so we can make sure crap like this never happens to us again!"
Ashley then replied, "That daughter of mine makes me so proud."
Christina sighed and replied, "Thank you so much for helping me out, you guys."
Ginny smiled and replied, "You're one of my best friends, so its our pleasure to help you out."
Lucas then replied, "Cool. Christina, ready to head home now?"
She sighed and replied, "Yes, dad. I'm glad to be going home now."
Kelly and the family turned around and began to leave and Ashley sighed and replied, "What great people they are."
"That is true, mom. So very true.", Ginny said with a smile.

Later that night, Shade was reading about the former shadow duelsits about which ones to bring back to earth.
Shade smiled and replied, "HIm and that magician guy plus that silent dude and those masked guys will make good enough choices to bring back.
Suddenly, the door opened up and Bulldog then replied, "Ready to bring back some duelists, sir?"
Shade then replied, "I found the best ones and these will wipe out those kids and get me their rare cards!"
Bulldog then replied, "I heard your son saying that you already have sent one out already."
Shade then replied, "He'd be right on the nose there, Bulldog. This first one I brought back from the shadow loves the darkness and almost defeated that Yugi fellow many, many, many years ago in a duel at that island."
Bulldog smiled and replied, "I know who you mean, sir. Good choice."
"Lets hope this guys bark is bigger then his bite."

At about 2 in the morning at a park, a young couple (Names where Liza and Greg) were enjoying each others company while making out on a park bench. The girls knew these two and how'd they wait until the park was empty to...enjoy each others company and they both had duel disks on their arms as well.
They finished kissing and Liza smiled at him and replied, "I love you so much right now, baby girl. I'm glad you're in my life."
Greg smiled back at her and replied, "Me too, honey. Me too. I'm so glad our parents like each other."
She nodded and replied, "Me too, my dear. You've given me the best years of my life."
"How cute.", a voice was heard.
The couple turned to the right and saw a figure covered with a pitch-black robe with grey stripes all over it and he a classic Battle City Duel Disk on his arm and Greg looked at him and replied, "Buddy, the circus doesn't come to town until AFTER August!"
The robed figure chuckled and replied, "This kid has a mouth on him."
Liza then replied, "We're are not breaking the law, so butt out and go away!"
The figure chuckled once more and replied, "Not until I get a duel with you. Can you both duel as a team?"
Greg laughed and replied, "After we graduated high school together, we become a team duelist and won the Team finals that were hosted in St. Paul last year!"
The figure then replied, "Big deal. I challenge the both of you to a simple duel!"
The couple nodded as they all activated their duel disks and drew 5 cards.
The robed duelist laughed and replied, "May the shadows swallow you kids up!"
"Game on!", the 3 shouted.

At about 9:00 the next morning, Lucas and Christina were looking through the channels to see what TV had to offer them on a Saturday while Tina slept right between them both.
Christina groaned and replied, "Damn, nothing good on a Saturday, dad."
Lucas then replied, "I know, its all the same crap over and over again!"
Suddenly, the turned to Channel 9 and the news was starting and the female anchor (Who was Stacy Peterson) and his male co-Anchor (Who was Max Smiley) began the news.
Christina then replied, "Might as well."
The female began to speak, "Early this morning, police found two people in the park and both were out cold. The police transfered them both to the local Hospital where they'll be analayzed and checked over."
Christina then replied, "Not good."
The man nodded and replied, "That is right, Stacy. The people found out cold were 18 year old Greg Lukens and 18 year old Liza Sherwood both of Minneapolis."
Christina then replied, "I know those two! They left school as a perfect couple and still are to this date!"
Lucas then replied, "This seems puzzling."
Stacy continued, "The police are investagating this crime at this moment."
Suddenly, the phone began to ring and Lucas got up and answered it and he replied, "Hello? Hello, Kelly. Yeah, we saw the report as well and are shocked as well. Christina needs to meet you and Ginny at her apartment tonight? Sounds good. Bye."
He hung up the phone and he looked at his daughter and replied, "You need to head to Ginny's place as soon as possible, honey."
Christina then replied, "I wonder whats up."

That afternoon at the house, the gang was talking about what happen to the young couple.
Kelly then replied, "I was shocked as well to see those two knocked out cold like. They're both really nice people and I want to help them out."
Ginny then replied, "I told my parents about this and they sent a report to the HQ and they'll let us know what had happened to him in about 5 minutes or so."
Christina nodded and replied, "Sounds good, girl."
Suddenly, Ashley came in and replied, "They lost in a two on 1 duel against a famillar duelist from the shadow realm!."
Christina groaned and replied, "Shadow Duelists now? We can't catch a break in this town!"
Kelly then replied, "Who would bring him back? Riley is back in your time area!"
Ashley then replied, "The leader of the beasts brought back duelist to him collect rare cards!"
Kevin walked in and he replied, "Its that shadow duelist panik. I just got that message as well."
Kelly then replied, "I'm dueling the freak!"
Christina then replied, "Sounds good."

Later that night at the park, the girls were waiting for the duelist to show up.
Kelly then replied, "Come and get me!"
Suddenly, the robed duelist appeared and he replied, "Ready to be sent to the shadows, lady?"
Kelly then replied, "Give up the robe already, Panik!"
Suddenly, the robe vanished and the famillar Duelist Kingdom Eliminator was standing across from him and he laughed and replied, "Ready to taste the shadows, little girl?"
She then replied, "I will only duel with you freak if you promise to return the souls of my friends you defeated to them when I do win."
Panik laughed and replied, "I accept your foolish wager, little girl!"
Ginny then replied, "Go, Kelly!"
Christina smield and replied, "Crush this freak into the ground!"
Kelly nodded as they both activated their disks and drew 5 cards apiece.
"Game on!", both yelled out.
(Panik LP: 8000 - Kelly LP: 8000)
Panik drew a card and replied, "I'll begin with a facedown monster and thats my turn!"
Kelly drew a card and replied, "I summon my Beast Striker!"
As he sat the card down, the beastly hammer-using beast-warrior appeared (ATK: 1,850).
"Attack!"
The beast-warrior swung its hammer and its and a shockwave and a Headless Knight appeared on the card (DEF: 1,700) and was blasted into pixels as the shockwave struck it.
"Whatever you say. I end my turn now."
Panik drew a card and replied, "I play Silent Doom!"
Suddenly, Headless Knight appeared with a chilling moan (DEF: 1,700).
"Next, I play Ancient Rules to special summon the evil and despicable Earl of Demise!"
As he sat the card down, the evil nobleman appeared with a chilling laugh (ATK: 2,000).
"I now play Polymerization to fuse my 2 monsters together!"
As the two merged together, a fiendish decaying fiend with a rapier appeared while wearing a tattered outfit appeared (ATK: 2,000).
"This is the mighty Duke of Demise!"
Ginny then replied, "Still loves the fiends of darkness, I see."
Christina nodded and replied, "I saw that coming a"mile away."
"So, Slaughter her monster!"
The fusion went and with a savage slice of his sword, bisected Beast Striker at the waist. The two pieces fell to the ground and dissolved (Kelly LP: 8000 - 7850).
Panik laughed and replied, "Take that, freak! I end my turn now."
Kelly drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Panik drew a card and replied, "I'll have to pay 500 lifepoints to keep him on the field!"
He began to glow (Panik LP: 8000 - 7500) and then he replied, "No big deal I summon my Archfiend Soldier!"
As he sat the card down, the fiendish soldier appeared (ATK: 1,900).
"Lets do it. Earl of Demise, attack!"
The fiend went and a Hyena appeared on the card (DEF: 300) and was cut in two as the sword fell and then two more facedown monsters appeared and then Archfiend Soldier struck with his sword, smashing another of the small beasts to bits.
"I end my turn now."
Kelly drew a card and replied, "I know of that things ability! I play Smashing Ground now!"
Suddenly Earl of Demise exploded into shards.
"I now summon my Shiba-Warrior Taro!"
As he sat the card down, the cute pup Tuner appeared with a happy bark (ATK: 800).
"I now tune my 2 monsters together!"
Shiba-Warrior Taro let out a happy bark as it split apart into two white stars, with each one transforming into a green virtual ring. The two rings went through Hyena, which transformed into three white stars. As this process occurred, Kelly clasped her hands together, closed her eyes, and began to chant:
"Galloping in heavens like thunder, crisscrossing them like a mighty gale, appear forth from the World of Myth and Legend! Synchro Summon! Neigh, Thunder Unicorn!"
As she sat the card down, the beautiful unicorn of light appeared (ATK: 2,200).
"I drain your fiend!"
Suddenly, he let out a groan (ATK: 1,900 - 1,400).
"Attack!"
The Unicorn went and jammed its horn into the Fiend, blowing it to shards (Panik LP: 7500 - 6700).
"There you go! I end my turn now."
Panik drew a card and replied, "I play Allure of Darkness!"
He drew 2 cards and then banished one of them and then he replied, "I'll set a monster facedown and I'll also set a card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Kelly drew a card and replied, "I summon my Sunlight Unicorn!"
As she sat the card down, another of the beasts of light appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Lets check my top card!"
She flipped and saw it was a Moja and she sighed and placed it at the bottom and replied, "Damn it. Thunder Unicorn, attack!"
The fiend went and a Dark Resonator appeared (DEF: 300) and it struck the fiend's tunefork and it went back and then Kelly replied, "my other Unicorn will finish it off!"
The other Unicorn went in and struck it with her horn, blowing it to pieces and then Panik quickly replied, "I activate Miracle's Wake!"
Suddenly, the fiendish Tuner appeared (ATK: 1,300).
"Whatever. I end my turn now."
Panik drew a card and replied, "I summon my Winged Devil!"
As he sat the card down, the a small fiend with black skin appeared with two small black wings (ATK: 800).
"I now tune my 2 monsters together!"
The tuners tunefork began to glow as it split into 3 white stars, which turned into green rings and then the rings went through the Winged Devil, which turned into 2 white stars.
"I Synchro Summon..King of the Dark!"
As she sat the card down, a large black-skinned demon with a jaw of sharp teeth appeared with saliva dripping from its mouth (ATK: 2,000).
"Gross.", Christina said with disgust.
Ginny then replied, "Is that The King of Yamikamai..now as a Synchro effect monster?"
Panik nodded and replied, "You guessed right, you fool! When Winged Devil is used to Summon any kind of dark monster, th gains 500 ATK until the end phase!"
Suddenly, its skin turned darker (ATK: 2,000 - 2,500).
"My big guy can attack twice! So, attack those Unicorns!"
Suddenlty, its hands began to glow and then it fired two bursts of electricity and one burst shot out and atomized Sunlight Unicorn (ATK: 2,500 - 2,700) and then it launched another burst, blowing Thunder Unicorn to particles (Kelly LP: 7850 - 6650) (ATK: 2,700 - 2,900).
"There you go. I end my turn now."
The Synchro's attack went back down (ATK: 2,900 - 2,400).
Kelly drew a card and repleid, "I'll set a monster and 2 cards facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Panik drew a card and replied, "Give up, you bratty teen! I'll set a monster and I'll attack!"
The huge fiend let out another burst of energy and it shot out and a Elefun appeared before the blast electocuted the small tuner until it dissolved (ATK: 2,400 - 2,600)
"Now, attack directly!"
The electricity shot out and shot out towards Kelly and she quickly replied, "I activate Offensive Guard!"
As she drew a card, the blast hit her (Kelly LP: 6650 - 5350).
Panik laughed and replied, "Draw all the cards you want to, you brat! I'll set a card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Kelly drew a card and replied, "I play Limit Reverse!"
Suddenly, the small tuner rappeared (ATK: 500).
"I now summon my 2nd Sunlight!"
As she sat the card down, another of the beautiful unicorns appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Lets check it my top card!"
She checked it and she sighed again as she placed at the bottom and she replied, "More bad luck! I now tune my 2 monsters together!"
Elephun let out a happy squeal as it split into 2 white stars, which turned into green rings and then the rings went through Sunlight Unicorn, which turned into 4 white stars.
"I Synchro Summon...Celestial Wolf Lord, Blue Sirius!"
As she sat the card down, the 3-headed dark beast-warrior appeared (ATK: 2,400).
"I now play Shrink!"
Suddenly, his Synchro weakened (ATK: 2,600 - 1,300).
"Attack!"
The beast-warrior opened its mouths and shot out a wave of dark flames and they shot out and began to burn the Fiend alive and then as the flames died down, the burnt fiend collapsed into a pile of ash (Panik LP: 6700 - 5600) and then he quickly replied, "I activate The Transmigration Prophecy!"
He took his Silent Doom and Ancient Rules spell cards and shuffled them back into his deck.
"Take that, freak! I end my turn now."
Panik drew a card and replied, "1 monster facedown and 1 card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Kelly drew a card and replied, "I summon my Vorse Raider!"
As he sat the card down, the savage beast-warrior appeared (ATK: 1,900).
"Lets do it. Sirius, attack!"
The beast-warrior let out another burst of dark flames and a Dark Mimic LV1 appeared on the card (DEF: 1,000) before the flames burnt it to a cinder and then Panik drew a card and then Vorse Raider swung its axe and it struck the former eliminator (Panik LP: 5600 - 3700) and then he replied, "I activate Damage Condensor!"
As he discarded a monster to his graveyard, a large evil-looking fiend with sharp claws appeared (ATK: 1,610).
Christina then replied, "What monster is that?"
Ginny then replied, "I think its called a normal fiend monster called Dark Chimera and its stats are really pathetic with odd numbers."
"Okay..then. I end my turn now."
Panik drew a card and replied, "I play Fiend's Sanctuary!"
Suddenly, the beady token appeared (ATK; 0).
"I now tribute it for my Metal Guardian!"
As the token vanished, a large metal Fiend with wheels appeared (ATK: 1,150).
"I now overlay my 2 monsters!"
The two fiends turned into orbs of darkness and a portal opened up, which they flew into.
"With these 2 dark monsters, I construct the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon! Appear before me..Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon!"
As he sat the card down, a large dark fiend with a glowing red sword appeared (ATK: 2,600).
Ginny then repleid, "That is why he used those weak monsters. They were both level 5 monsters!"
Panik laughed and replied, "That is right, you brat! I remove one Xyz Material monster to destroy your Blue Sirius!"
As he discarded the Metal Guardian to his graveyard, opened his hand and launched a wave of black energy and the beast-warrior howled before it burst into a explosion of pixels and Kelly laughed and replied, "You know your Xyz is about to get weaker, right?"
Panik then replied, "Not if I activate my Shadow Imprisoning Mirror trap card!"
Suddenly, the trap appeared.
Ginny then replied, "You know that card will hurt your monsters, right?"
Panik then replied, "I knew that too. I activate Magic Planter!"
As the trap dissolved into particles of light, he drew 2 cards and replied, "All better now. Adreus, attack!"
The warrior swung his sword and a blade of red energy shot out and struck, blowing the beast-warrior to pieces (Kelly LP: 5350 - 4750).
"You won't win, little girl! I end my turn now."
Kelly drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and that'll end my turn now."
Panik drew a card and replied, "I summon my Giant Orc!"
As he sat the card down, the huge orc with a large bone for a club appeared (ATK: 2,200).
"Lets do it. Orc, attack!"
The fiend swung his club and a Hypnocorn appeared on the card (DEF: 600) and large fiend smashed the beast flat.
"Ardreus, attack directly!"
The fiend swung his sword and the attack struck her down (Kelly LP: 4750 - 1950).
Panik laughed and replied, "The shadows will soon devour you, little girl! I'll set a card and that'll end my turn now."
Kelly drew a card and replied, "I discard 1 card to summon my Egotistical Ape!"
As she discarded a Nimble Momonga to her graveyard, the shadowy ape appeared (ATK: 1,200 - LV: 5 - 3).
"I now banish 1 Spell card to summon to summon my Monoceros!"
As she banished a spell card, the horse with a long glowing horn appeared (ATK: 1,000).
"I tune both of my monsters together!"
Suddenly, the shadowy ape split apart into 3 white stars, which turned into green rings and then the rings went right through Monoceros, which turned into 3 white stars as well. As this happened, Kelly closed her eyes and began to chant:
"A mighty beast of pure light comes forth and destroys the darkness with its mighty power of sacred light! Synchro Summon! Holy beast of light...Sacred Unicorn!"
As she sat the card down, a very beautiful unicorn with sparkly white skin and a golden horn appeared with a loud neigh (ATK: 2,300).
Panik then replied, "The light..I HATE IT!"
"Tough. First i use Monoceros ability to get back my ape!"
The shadowy ape reappeared and knelt (DEF 1,200) I use his ability to halve the ATK of one of your dark monsters!"
Suddenly, Ardeus let out a loud groan (ATK: 2,600 - 1,300).
"Attack!"
The Unicorn horns began to glow and then it fired a beam of pure light from it and it shot out and struck the Xyz and he exploded into black globules (Panik LP: 3700 - 2700).
Kelly smiled and replied, "Any dark monster she attacks and destroy is banished! I end my turn now."
Panik drew a card and replied, "Since he moves to defense postion anyway, I'll just attack with my Giant Orc!"
The fiend swung his bone and struck, smashing the shadowy ape into little pieces and then the giant knelt (DEF: 0).
"I'll now set a monster and that'll end my turn now."
Kelly drew a card and replied, "Beast Striker, come on out!"
As she sat the card down, the beastly beast-warrior appeared (ATK: 1,850).
"Lets do it. Beast Striker, attack!"
The beast-warrior went and a Morphing Jar appeared on the card (DEF: 1,500) and was smashed into pebbles quickly and then both discarded their current hands and drew 5 cards apiece and then she replied, "My Unicorn now attacks!"
The Unicorn went and jammed its horn into the defending orc, blowing the fiend to little pieces.
"That'll do for me."
Panik drew a card and then he laughed and replied, "Time for this duel to become more dark and evil! I play another Fiend's Sanctuary!"
Suddenly, another of the beady tokens appeared (ATK: 0).
"I now tribute it for my Diabound Kernel!"
As the beady token vanished, a large hulking fiend with silver skin appeared and instead of legs, it had a serpent-like trunk with a snakes head at the end of it (ATK: 1,800).
Christina gulped and replied, "I heard of that thing."
Ginny nodded and replied, "Seto Kaiba wrote about it in his book he wrote after retiring from dueling. That Yami Bakura guy captured his little brother and he was forced into a duel, but the duel had ended without a winner."
Christina then replied, "Seto would of won anyway."
"I now equip my Kernel with my Spirit Illusion!"
Suddenly, it began to glow and to everyone's shock, an exact copy of the evil fiend was right next to the original!
"This is a doppelganger token and it becomes a exact copy of the copied monster, with its stats and effect as well!"
It began to glow (ATK: 1,800).
"I use the copy to equip to your monster!"
Suddenly, the token flew into the Unicorn and she let out a cry (ATK: 2,300 - 500).
"I now attack!"
The Fiend's snake-like head opened its mouth and it launched a wave of dark flames and the Unicorn let out another cry as it was burned alive and the seconds later, all that was left of the beast of light was a pile of ash (Kelly LP: 1950 - 650) and then the token reappeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Take that! I end my turn now."
Kelly drew a card and replied, "I summon my Rescue Rabbit!"
As she sat the card down, the cute rabbit with goggles appeared (ATK: 300).
"I offer it to bring out two Spotted Unicorns from my deck!"
As the rabbit dug into the ground and vanished, two beautiful white-skinned unicorns and its horn was sparkly and it had golden spots all over it (ATK: 1,800 x2).
"I now overlay my 2 monsters!"
Both monsters turned into blue orbs and a portal opened up, which they flew into.
"I now Xyz Summon...Diamond Dire Wolf!"
As she sat the card down, a large beautiful wolf appeared (ATK: 2,200).
Christina then replied, "Damn, what a monster."
"I now use his ability to remove 1 material monster to select one beast, beast-warrior or one winged beast monster I control and one card you control and destroy both!"
As she discarded one of the Spotted Unicorns, Beast Striker began to glow and it flew and it rammed into the larger fiend and it roared before it exploded into pixels.
"And since the equipped monster is destroyed.."
Suddenly, the equip card and the token shattered into pieces and the Panik then replied, "I will beat you next turn."
Kelly smiled and replied, "There won't be a next turn for you! I activate Wild Nature's Release!"
Suddenly, the wolf let out a huge howl (ATK: 2,200 - 3,200).
"Now, finish him off!"
The wolf let out a howl as it rushed in and slashed the dark duelist with his claws (Panik LP: 2700 - 0).
Christina then replied, "Yea!"
Panik then replied, "NO, I won't go back!"
Suddenly, he exploded into a cloud of black smoke and the duel disk & deck burst into puffs of black smoke & soot as well
Ginny then replied, "Creepy."
Christina then replied, "Good riddance to them."
The girls nodded as they all began to leave the park.

Offensive Guard / Normal Trap Card

"The Earl of Demise" + "Headless Knight"
This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. During each of your Standby Phases: pay 500 Life Points or destroy this card.
Diabound Kernel
Fiend/Effect/Dark/ATK: 1,800/DEF: 1,200/5 Stars
Once per turn, you can equip this card to a face-up monster your opponent controls, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card. The equipped monster loses ATK equal to this card's original ATK. If the equipped monster is destroyed by battle, Special Summon this card. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, it also gains that monster's effect(s).
Spirit Illusion / Equip Spell Card

Equip only to a Zombie or Fiend monster. After activation, Special Summon 1 "Doppelganger Token" with the same ATK, DEF, Level, Attribute, and Type as the equipped monster. This Token gains the same effects as the equipped monster. If this card is removed from the field, destroy the "Doppelganger Token".
Note: These 3 cards was used by Yami Bakura in the Yugioh episode "Spiritual Awakening" and creative credit goes to the writers of that episode.
Horned Devil
