Veronica and Ryan were standing outside Leann's door and were about to walk in when they both heard a voice from behind "how's your mom doing? "
Veronica looked up and saw Jake and Duncan Kane standing there. Before she could respond, Ryan looked at them and moved Veronica back a little "one your to close and two she's out of her coma."
Duncan smiled "I see Logan still has that protective streak."
Veronica shrugged and looked at Jake "what did you want? Didn't your family do enough?"
Jake looked down "sweet heart you don't know the whole story about what happened that night.."
Veronica just laughed "you and Celeste should be worried because I will find out what happened to my mom and why." With that Veronica left with Ryan right behind her.
Once veronica Walked away Keith rounded the corner. As he walked towards his ex-wife's room holding an email that he received this morning. "Veronica you need to see this." He stopped short when he saw Jake "were in the hell is my daughter?"
Jake turned around "Veronica left with a very large man about five minutes ago." Keith who still looked mad "so that says you can stay and visit."
Duncan trying to defuse the situation "were sorry Mr. Mars my dad just wanted to see if Mrs..."
Jake cut him off "she is important to me two Keith and probably more important to me then you these days."
Keith walked closer to Jake "you're still a piece of work. It's funny I should feel so much hatred for you. You had an affair with my wife, I still tried to help you find out who murdered your daughter and you hindered my case. If that wasn't enough you try to destroy my life." Keith laughed out loud as he continued "however looking at you now I just feel sad for you. Even with all your money and all these years you're still the same."
Jake gave him a glare "I have changed Keith I'm not the naive man I was then.
Keith looked at Duncan "don't end up like your father Once this trial is over move on with your life son."
Jake getting angry himself "my son doesn't need your advice or help he has a father thank you."

I not only have my daughter, but two sons who I love and four grandchildren and one more on the way. I have a gorgeous wife who I have to start over with." He turned around to Duncan again "I hope things work out for your son, but leave my daughter alone." Then he looked back time Jake "say you're good-byes now this will be your last visit until Leann is out of here and while your at it stay away from my family Jake because even with your money or power you won't be able to hide from me this time." With that he walked out of the room forgetting about the email.
Duncan looked at his dad "why did you have to do that?"
"Do what? Jake answered defensively. "He attacked me with his threats."
Duncan looked at his father "his right I need to figure out what I'm going to do with my life and finally let go of some stuff and have it out with Logan."
Jake looked like he'd been slapped "you're going to take over Kane industries and you and Isabella will raise Lilly here."
"That's not what I want dad." Duncan replied.
Jake shook his head "then go after what you want because I wish I had. Then, maybe Lilly would still be here and you both would have been happier."
Duncan left the waiting room and walked around the corner and saw Veronica who was staring at her phone screen texting? As he walked up to her Ryan who didn't even look at him "keep your distance Kane I have orders to kill you."
"I just wanted to see if you are okay and if we can catch up little" Duncan asked Veronica.
As she smiled. Ryan who didn't look amused replied "then use your words hands to yourself and keep your distance."
they both heard Veronica who had been silent so far "thank you Duncan I'm okay" she said As her cell phone rang with a text she frowned and looked at Duncan "do you want to grab lunch apparently my husband is busy."
Duncan smiled "absolutely if your sure."
Ryan who wouldn't be quiet "Um I don't think that's a great idea Mr. Echolls will not be pleased.
"Veronica smiled " should stop being a little boy then." Veronica looked at Duncan "I'll meet you in the cafeteria if that okay I want to say goodbye to my mom and tell the nurse I'm leaving for the day and talk to her doctors."
Duncan nodded "you sure you don't need any help with anything. I could go with you." He volunteered.
"no thanks I got it and Ryan here so I'm good ,but thank you." Veronica answered.
"Well let me at least take you some were better then the cafeteria like shay la range." Duncan replied hopefully. Veronica looked at him "Duncan I love my life. I'm completely totally in love with Logan my husband. We might be arguing this second ,but he's my husband and he always will be okay."
Duncan laughed giving her the boy scoot sign "best behavior I promise."
"okay I'll meet you at the coffee shop then okay." Veronica After talking to the doctors and giving the nurses numbers, Veronica walked to her car and driver that Logan insisted was safer for her and the kids to be in until this whole thing was over. The driver opened the door for them as they both got in the back. Veronica was one again sending Logan a text to add to her other five that only got one word replies. -I love you. I miss you. Please tell me I'll see you tonight? I hate sleeping without you Logan. Please call me. I need you.- as she pressed send they arrived at the restaurant When her phone Once again rang and showed Logan's picture she frowned with what she read -I love you to baby. You have know idea how much I miss you. I'll try tonight I promise. Love you. - she looked up at Ryan he's still mad.
"He will get over it soon. He just needs a little space today." He replied.
Veronica shook her head "Ya in his office with the door closed."

Logan
Logan was staring at his phone when dick sat next to him in the sand.
"Dude just go be with her. Your surfing sucks today anyway."
Logan put the phone back in his pocket. "Why so I can watch her destroy herself and our family."
Dick looked at him again "that's not fair though it's her mom Logan and it's not Like before she's not pushing you away for Duncan. In fact, what six texts in two hours she begging for you. If you don't stop soon you're going to push her into him man"
Logan looked at his phone and sent her a text -I should be done at five. How about I pick up pizza and we watch movies with the kids tonight? When they go to bed I'll make up for last night."
As Logan hit send dick smiled "dude I'll send you my bill. "
Logan hit his shoulder as he got up to go back in the water. Logan read her reply.- that would be amazing. Might even let you pick the movie. I love you Logan.- as he read the text. He felt hands rubbing his shoulders. He moved and turned around "Madison what did you want?"
She smiled and ran her hand down his chest."we'll "
Logan backed up "I'm married Madison and last I checked so were you."
Madison looked him up and down "I don't care about my husband and he doesn't care who I sleep with. We both know you want me"
As she started to take off her top. Logan looked at her sternly "one more time Madison I love my wife I want her and only her."
Madison getting a little annoyed now moved a little closer "come on Logan I know you want it. Your so stressed your shoulders are so tight. Besides veronica busy at the moment with Duncan. Seems old habits die hard."
Logan stepped back again and was about to say something to her when dick came out of the Water."who called slut r us?" Dick laughed.

Back at lunch
Duncan and Veronica were still talking when her cell phone rang. She looked at Duncan "sorry my dad needs to see me right now for some reason. It was nice catching up with you Duncan. Call I'd love to stay in touch.

Veronica walked into her dad's house and yelled "dad."
Alicia walked into the room "he's in the kitchen sweetie."
Veronica walked into the kitchen and looked at her dad who was cooking "dad what's up! I have to go get the kids from school soon."
Keith turned around I got an email today from a friend of your mom. It's on the table apparently your mom sent it to her and said to send it to me if she didn't call every Tuesday."
Veronica looked at the paper he was talking about and picked it up.

School
Veronica and Ryan were sitting outside west-bridge waiting for the kids to come out so she decided to call Mac and see if she was up to helping. "Hey Mac do you feel like playing q again?" Mac laughed "okay bond what do you need done?" Veronica looked out the window for a second then replied "I need the info on Isabella and Celeste Kane a little faster. I'm going call in some favors and see if I can get the recording of the call the anonymous caller and the trail of money went." Mac replied "okay I'll see what I can do." As she hung up the kids got in the car with their own guard. Veronica looked at them and smiled "hey guys how was your day?"
Lynn looked up "okay I guess."
Veronica looked at lo "talk Mr. What's wrong?"
"Nothing mom I'm fine." Lo replied
Veronica shook her head "Logan spill it?"
Lo tried to smile "I'm just tired" veronica smiled at him "okay for now ,but you both know that your dad and I love you more than anything and you can always talk to us."

Lo and Lynn ran in the house. Lynn saw her dad in the kitchen "daddy"
Logan looked up from the pizzas he was making. "Hey baby how was your day?" Lynn stole a pepperoni and said, "okay "while lo just went up stairs to change.
Veronica walked into the kitchen "when you said get pizza I didn't think that meant make it yourself."
Logan laughed and kissed her "why not I made lo's veggie ,Lynne's pepperoni, sausage and pepper's. Veronica stole a pepper as Logan hit her hand "that's we're Lynn gets it from ten more minutes Ma'am."
Veronica laughed "someones in a mood. Then, she trailed off Hey lo seems weird today ,but he won't tell me anything want to go up and try."
Logan looked at the stairs and handed Veronica the pot holders "ten minutes the timer should go off." He replied as he went up the stairs.
Lo room
Hey kid your mom says you didn't have a good day?"
"it was fine dad" came a snippy reply. Logan laughed "okay logan spill it?"
"is mom going to leave us?" He asked
Logan sat down on his bed "no bud. Why would you think that."
Lo looked more upset "what if she gets hurt dad. I don't want mom to go away again. "
Logan looked shocked at his son "you remember that."
"I remember knowing you two were fighting and mom wasn't home for months. "lo replied.

"Then why the guards." Lo replied looking down.
Logan took a deep breath and said, "your a smart kid you know that. There's just some adult stuff going on and I love you and your mom so much that I want the four of you protected."
lo smiled a little "so you and mom are okay. Mom's not leaving again."
"Your mom loves you more than anything she would never leave us for anything." Logan replied hugging his son.
Lo pulled back "dad I'm kind of hungry now!" Logan laughed "let's go eat dinner should be done. You can pick a movie."
Lo looked back "cool can we play monopoly after dinner."

Logan and veronica
Logan walked into their bedroom to hear his wife talking to Mac on the phone "I sent you the files on whom made the call let me know if you can trace it? It was made from a pay phone in Sydney. The funny part is no one claimed the money for the capture." she listened to mac and said "okay ill see you tomorrow then bye." she looked up and jumped when she saw Logan watching her from their chair. "oh my god don't do that."
Logan looked at her "why not nothing else matters right now except that stupid case right. Except maybe Duncan. How was your date?"
She got up "you know that's not true. Duncan and I only had an hour lunch at Dottie's to catch up. He's just a friend."
Logan got up and walked towards their bathroom. She exhaled and followed him."
Logan I love you more than anything. I can't live without you ,but I have to know what happened and why. She's still my mom."
Logan smiled "your mom huh you know our son is scared of losing his mom too."
veronica looked up at him "what did lo say? " she asked worried.
"he's worried you're going to get hurt and he's never going to see his mom again. " Logan answered angrily veronica left the bathroom and Logan rolled his eyes and turned the shower on.
Veronica looked back at the door then decided to go check on the kids she opened Lynn door to find her sleeping with her laptop. Veronica kissed her head and put the laptop on the desk. And, closed the door. She walked into lo's room and saw him sleeping with the TV on. She smiled and looked at him and for a second she saw that infant they put into her arms in the hospital and Logan face the first time he saw her hold their son. He'd never admit it ,but she swore she saw him cry. As veronica was about to close the door she heard "I love you mommy" veronica smiled and walked back into his room "I love you to my sweet little man." she was about to leave then turned back around "hey lo baby you know you mean the world to me right."
lo smiled "ya mom"
veronica kissed his head "okay go back to sleep baby I'll see you in the morning." veronica walked back to her bedroom and hesitated and turned the knob to see her husband warped in a towel grabbing pants from the closet. "still mad at me?"she asked to his back.
A little yes, I'm scared Veronica. I love you. Believe me i get its your mom and you have to do this ,but I cant lose you." he replied without even looking at her.
Veronica nodded and said "right ,but you still have to write more of your book in your office tonight?"
Logan laid down on his side of the bed and garbed the remote "nope I t-vowed the game. Want to watch it with me?"
veronica shook her head "nope" as she grabbed her book and started reading.
Logan smiled he could feel her glancing at him "do you want something. I'm trying to watch the game."
she scooted closer and kissed his neck "veronica" Logan moaned Veronica pulled back and looked at him "ya"
Logan pointed to the tv and said "baseball"
veronica laughed "okay baby watch your game." she replied as she kissed his neck some more.
Logan closed his eyes and put his head back to the headboard five minutes later he gave up on the game completely and lifted her on to his lap.
Veronica smiled as she felt him pull up her shirt. She leaned back into him to whisper in his ear "I love you."
Logan groaned and lay-ed her down on the bed "I love you to" he replied as he leans down to take off her shorts. He could feel her hands playing with his hair as she gently pulled him up to kiss her.
