Chapter 17: Individual Decisions! What Can Be Truly Trusted!

The pale Satellite sun shines over the huge crater in the ground that was once the first Moment Reactor.

Crow's standing on a nearby ledge made of a piece of the street that was scrunched back on itself.

Elsewhere in the Satellite, a group of bystanders is gathered around a burning trash can, warming their hands or lounging on half-destroyed risers or steps on perpendicular walls of a building that was demolished down to just walls no more than six feet tall. A pair of them are dueling with cards on the ground. "It's true, I tell ya! Beyond the wall of flame, dozens of people were…" "They turned into a gigantic monster, right? I heard that rumor, too!" "It's just an illusion. Only homeless people are in that area, so it doesn't matter to us."

"It should matter!" Crow says.

Everyone turns or looks up.

Crow's standing on the punched-out second floor of the building next to their hangout, looming over them.

"Who are you?"

"Me? I'm just a passerby who's on the side of justice." Says Crow, innocently. He jumps the wrecked building on his D-Wheel, soaring over all of their heads.

"Don't go into the central area! Or else, you'll also be turned into a monster!"

"You guys should hurry up and hide!" Crow says. He looks ahead, he's flying toward the crater. "Just wait, Dark Signer!" Crow thinks to himself.

Godwin's estate is balmy and peaceful. There's only one road to it from the mainland, and it itself is a man-made island. There's a gatehouse at the front, and the rest of the front of the island is obscured by thick trees. Straight ahead, the road opens onto a spacious driveway before the main house, with an orderly garden splitting the drive into two. On the left side of the island, there's a sprawling lawn with a few sparkling blue ponds. Beyond that may be another garden in the far left corner. On the right side of the island are several outbuildings of the main house and more pavement, this may be where guests stay. There's also a pool behind the main house and a small dock on the near right corner. Yusei's standing on a balcony somewhere.

Flashback. "Dark Signers are the souls of the dead that now have special abilities. In other words, they no longer exist." Says Godwin. The flashback ends.

Back to the present. Yusei stares at his own clenched fist. "Kiryu…" Yusei thinks to himself.

Inside the house. Luca sees him standing on the balcony and tries to approach him.

"He's in pain." Aki says. She's sitting on a couch nearby.

"Huh? You know how Yusei feels, Aki?" Asks Luca.

"Yes. Yusei feels that the bond between people is very important. That's why the fact that his friend turned into a Dark Signer hurts him deeply." Aki says.

"I feel bad for Yusei." Says Luca.

"But what about you? Are you prepared to fight?" Aki asks.

Luca turns to face her. "I'm ready. Because…" Says Luca.

Flashback. Ancient Fairy Dragon appears as though chiseled out of stone, imprisoned in a mountainside. The flashback ends.

Back to the present. "I have a reason to fight." Luca says.

"Even a child is ready to fight…" Aki thinks to herself.

Yusei walks in from the balcony, and Luca turns to him. "Yusei." Says Luca.

"I'm sorry. I want to be left alone." Yusei says.

"Oh." Says Luca.

Aki stands up and walks away in the other direction, she is left standing alone, as they both walk away from her.

"Yusei…" Luca says, dejectedly.

Jack, unobserved by anyone, has come down the stairs, and is watching Yusei leave, frowning. "Hmmm." Says Jack, moaning, under his breath.

Meanwhile, Sakura is in some sort of infirmary-type of room. Grim's lying at the side of the examination table, asleep. A physician is examining the deep lacerations to Sakura's back. "Well Miss Kuraitaiyou, I'd say you were very lucky. I think you dueled far too early, but these lacerations to your back look to be healing rather well and the scanners haven't picked up any internal injuries from the beatings you took. You still have a long way to go before your back fully heals, but I'm going to clear you to duel." The doctor takes her hands away. "You can put your stuff back on now and you're free to be on your way. I'll give this report to the director." She takes her clipboard and leaves the room.

A few minutes later, Sakura has regained her clothes, just finishing putting her long, red tailcoat back on.

There's then a knock on the door.

Grim wakes up and lifts up his head, his red eyes fixed to the door. "Yes?" Sakura asks.

The door opens and Aki walks into the room. "Hey, Sakura." Says Aki.

Sakura looks back over her shoulder at her. "Hello, Aki. Is there something I can help you with?" Sakura asks.

Aki walks further into the room. "I was just wondering if you would like to join me for a little walk outside? It could help clear your head from certain things." Says Aki.

Sakura turns to face her and walks over to her. "I guess, it couldn't hurt." Sakura says.

There's then another knock on the door. "Yes?" Asks Sakura.

Jack's leaning on the wall near the doorway.

Grim gets up and walks over to Sakura, coming to a halt at her side. She knows Jack wants to talk with her. "Um, Aki. Why don't you go on ahead, I shall catch up with you shortly." Sakura says. "Sure thing, I'll meet you in the courtyard then." Says Aki. Sakura smiles and nods, mutely. Aki then walks out and leaves the room.

Leaving Jack and Sakura alone, with the exception of Grim. "What is it, Jack?" Sakura asks.

"Do you think Yusei has the strength to do this?" Asks Jack. He then starts walking over to Sakura. "I'm not sure. It's his decision if he wants to do this, I told him that as soon as he found out about me being a Signer." Sakura says. Jack walks up to her, standing before her. Grim growls at him a bit, until Sakura pats at his head, lightly. "He's doubting himself if he can duel Kyosuke and beat him. You have doubts of your own, Jack." Says Sakura. He looks away, he's been figured out. "Well, um." Jack says. Sakura places one of her hands on his shoulder, he then faces her, bringing Carly's broken glasses into view. "Carly's missing, and I found these when I went into Arcadia, before I found you and Aki. I'm worried about her, I fear the Dark Signers got to her." Says Jack. "They might have. However, what if she's a Dark Signer herself? Would you be able to duel her, to find it in your heart to do so?" Sakura says. "Either way, I have someone to duel for." Says Jack. "We all have someone to duel for or duel against. Anyway, go talk to him, Jack. He needs someone right now and he probably won't listen to me at this point." Sakura says. "Very well." Says Jack.

Godwin, in a plain-but-elegant office, all polished wood, presses a button on his desk. A holoscreen appears. "How are your plans progressing?" Godwin asks. "Everything is on schedule. Mmhmhmhmhmhm." Says Jaeger, via-holoscreen. Godwin barely smiles, but he looks pleased.

There's a sudden knock on the door. "Hm? Come in." Godwin says.

The door opens and Sakura walks in, with Grim in tow.

"Sakura?" Asks Godwin. He presses the button on his desk and the holoscreen disappears. "How may I help you?" Godwin asks.

Sakura closes the door behind her, with it being open just a crack. "You said a lot of things yesterday. However, you also know quite a bit about me." Says Sakura. She turns to face him. "More than you actually should." Sakura says.

Godwin rests his chin on his laced hands. "As I said, a lot of your memories were extracted when you were being experimented on. Even the ones that you tried to suppress and throw away to the side." Says Godwin.

"So, you know of my past. However, that part of me is irrelevant to me now. Even if I told the others about my previous self, it would be meaningless." Sakura says.

"Hmm, perhaps. However, your past might just come back to haunt you, Sakura. Or should I be referring to you as the princess of the Sun Kingdom, as well as the Kingdom of the Galaxy, Princess Galaxia?" Asks Godwin.

Sakura's dark-crimson red eyes widen at this.

"Or was it the ruler of Dark Crystal Castle, Celestial-Queen Galaxia?" Godwin asks.

"Those names are forbidden from passing your lips." Says Sakura.

"Oh, apologies. Then I guess, you prefer being addressed as the Guardian of Judgment, Sailor Galaxy." Godwin says.

"Grim." Says Sakura. She looks down at her familiar. "He wants to meet my past self so badly. Perhaps, I should oblige." Sakura says. Grim steps up a bit and a red, diamond-shaped gem appears at the center of his head, embedded into the flesh. A shining light appears at the center of Sakura's forehead and as the light disappears, a silver sun and a red, diamond-shaped gem embedded in the center of it, are left behind. A sudden spiral of black light appears and obscures both her and Grim from view.

Godwin watches and waits, calmly.

As the spiral of light dissipates, a different version of Sakura is revealed, with her signature hairstyle staying the same, however, instead of a red gradation, her raven black hair has a purple and blue ombre instead, with the whole thing being partially transparent, having a natural rippling motion, even though she herself is not moving, and is sparkling, making it very reminiscent to a night sky, transitioning into a galaxy nebula, and obsidian-colored jewels dangle off of her hairpieces. She now has what appear to be short, black horns at either temple, pointed elf-like ears, with obsidian-colored jewel earrings, dangling from silver studs, and a pair of black angel wings on her waist. She is now dressed in a flowing, deep V-neck, backless, black halter dress, with a black, gauzy bow at its waist, with long, fluttery ribbons down the back, and a hip-high split down the left leg. She also wears matching, opera-length gloves and high-heels, and an elegant silver necklace, with an obsidian-colored jewel pendent. Surprisingly, all her markings, both Signer related and her face marking, and scars no longer appear along her body while in this form, she looks just the way she did back when she lived in Satellite two years prior, albeit remaining her current age. She soon opens her eyes, which are still red, but have lost their dark-crimson hue, and her pupils have become slightly slanted, and she wears purple-blue eye shadow in the cat eye style.

"And to whom do I have the pleasure of speaking with." Says Godwin.

She starts walking towards him and his desk, with Grim following alongside her. "I am still very much myself, Godwin. However, this is the form of my past royal self."

"Oh, I see. Princess Galaxia, it is then." Godwin says.

She stops when she reaches his desk, standing opposite from where he sits. "I told you before. That name is forbidden from escaping your lips. However, what you muttered is true." She places one of her hands on her hip while the other is elegantly placed upon her bust. "This is what I looked like back in my very first life. My truest self as the princess of the Sun Kingdom, as well as the Kingdom of the Galaxy, which at that time were also called Celestial Solace and Ebony Dimension, respectively. This is who I was born as, Princess Galaxia."

"Considering you weren't human, originally. What exactly were you?" Asks Godwin.

"My home of Ebony Dimension was a truly lovely place. However, it was also the place where nightmares were created. That being said, I was originally a vampire-succubus hybrid. Hence why I have horns and wings at this moment. However, due to me being born in space, I was also a humanoid alien." Says Princess Galaxia.

"I see. I believe your horns changed over time, as I noticed through your extracted memories." Says Godwin.

"Yes. However, that was never achieved during my first life. Of course, my life was cut short at sixteen. And then, I was reincarnated into my second life. Only, you seem to know all about both my first and second lives already." Princess Galaxia says.

"Perhaps. The one thing I'm most interested in knowing is that when you were reborn into this life that you live now, you came from a different dimension from us." Says Godwin.

"A space-time dimensional rift, is that what you wanted to know?" Princess Galaxia asks.

"So, it is true. Not only were you reincarnated for a third time, but you were reborn into this time from a different dimension." Says Godwin.

"That is the simplest way to describe a space-time dimensional rift, yes. Now, I prefer that what was said in this room to stay in this room." Princess Galaxia says. She places her hands on the desk and leans over it, showing off a pair of fangs. "None of this gets out to anyone." Says Princess Galaxia.

"Understood, Your Highness." Godwin says, with a bit of a smirk.

Princess Galaxia hisses under her breath.

"Besides, I think you have other things to worry about than this little secret getting out." Says Godwin.

The sun emblem and gem on her forehead start glowing and the beam of black light obscures her once again.

This time when the light diminishes, Sakura is back to her normal everyday appearance and clothed in her usual attire, the sun emblem and gem vanishing from her forehead. The gem embedded into Grim's head disappears, too. Sakura straightens herself, placing her hand on her hip. "Oh, is that so?" Sakura asks.

"Yes. You have a blood-pact to be preparing for, a certain being that you need to become one with, and telling your kids about their father and who he is." Says Godwin.

"I told you already, I shall not force any of them to make a blood-pact with me. And Subaru and Velvet are not your concern, they don't need to know about him. Not yet." Sakura says.

"They'll find out sooner or later. If not from you, from somebody." Says Godwin.

"Kyosuke Kiryu is just a dead man walking." Sakura says. She moves to turn away. "And he is dead to me." Says Sakura. She turns away from Godwin completely and finally notices.

On the other side of the door, that was left slightly cracked, Subaru's been watching and listening, he's got tears running down his face.

"Subaru?" Sakura asks, surprised.

Subaru moves away from the door and runs off.

Sakura runs towards the door, opens it and leaves Godwin's office, with Grim at her heels. "Subaru, wait! Come back!" Says Sakura. She runs off after Subaru, with Grim running after her.

As soon as they are gone, Godwin settles back in his chair. "Are you ready, little rabbit?" Godwin asks.

A young girl walks up from behind him, stopping to stand at his shoulder.

Godwin spares a quick glance at her.

The young girl has a fair complexion, with long, knee-length, blonde hair, styled in odango, and blue eyes. She's wearing a white catsuit, which has a straitjacket-like appearance to it, containing many means of restraint, including various straps and zippers, and a high collar capable of gagging the wearer. Not set to fully bind the wearer, the suit has rather long sleeves that flare outwards closer to the cuffs, running past her hands, and the pant legs of the suit are unzipped at the knee, revealing white, knee-high heeled boots underneath. She is sixteen, 4'11", 99 lbs, with a 28.3" bust, a 19.2" waist and 26.7" hips. Her movements suggest that she's been more or less entranced. "I guess you weren't such a lost cause after all. I always thought of you as a burden on me. But, that changed after you finally proved your usefulness to me and revealed the connection you share with her." Says Godwin. "Happy to be of service to you, Sir." Godwin stands up from his chair, arms crossed behind his back. "Your low-life mother died when you were four and you were placed in an orphanage. After I came and got you out of there when you were six, you craved for my never-ending love and attention ever since. Regardless, I always gave you the cold shoulder and brushed you off." Godwin says. He places a hand on her head, as if she was a pet. "I have to admit, you've finally proved yourself as my daughter. Even if you are an illegitimate child, little rabbit." Says Godwin. He turns away. "Now, are you ready to fulfill your purpose?" Godwin asks. "If it will please you, then yes. I will fulfill my mission and finally prove myself worthy of being your daughter." "Good. Now, I have some things to work on. I'll summon you when you're needed." Says Godwin. "Yes, Sir." She bows to him, showing her respect to him, and walks off.

This part of the estate contains a brick path lined with trees on one side and bordering a lake on the other. A building is visible through the trees. Yusei's sitting on a bench beside the path, still brooding.

He sees Jack's feet walk up to him, and looks up. "Jack… Sakura sent you to talk to me, didn't she?" Yusei asks. Jack shrugs. "She's very persuasive." Says Jack. "If Kiryu really died, then it's my fault. He must have hated me a lot when he died. How can I fight him when I'm feeling like this?" Yusei asks. He stares at his hands. "In order to defeat him permanently…" Says Yusei. He clenches his fists. "What should I do?" Yusei asks. "What should you do?" Asks Jack. He grabs Yusei by the front of his shirt and pulls him up nose-to-nose. "I'll show you!" Jack says. He punches Yusei in the stomach. "Uwaaugh! Jack…" Says Yusei. Jack doesn't reply, teeth clenched with fury.

Somewhere on this palatial estate, there's a garden where the bushes bloom with roses of all colors, in which Aki's walking through.

Flashback. Aki stands with her parents in the slightly demolished hospital room in which she and Sakura dueled. "Aki?" Setsuko asks. "I'm sorry, but I already made my decision. I want to battle the Dark Signers as a Signer." Says Aki. "Aki…" Hideo says. "Why do you have to do something that dangerous? Just when we finally became a family again!" Says Setsuko. "I'm very happy that you and papa accepted me instead of running away. That's why I also feel that I can't run away from my responsibility, Mama." Aki says. "Responsibility?" Asks Setsuko. "Arcadia Movement tried to lead the world into chaos. And I was one of its members." Aki says. "It's not your fault. They were using you." Says Setsuko. "Even if that's true, I have to do something. Something bad is about to happen to Neo Domino City. If my powers can help stop it…" Aki says. "Still…" Says Setsuko. "Aki, if you can't control your own power, then you might destroy yourself. Do you understand?" Hideo asks. "Dear!" Says Setsuko. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me." Aki says. "You're trying to find people you can trust from your heart." Says Hideo. Aki nods, he smiles. "If either Sakura or Yusei are by your side, then you probably won't lose yourself." Hideo says. Aki smiles. "Aki…" Says Setsuko. "Aki found what she truly wants to do. Let's trust our daughter." Hideo says. The flashback ends.

Back to the present. "Thank you, Papa." Aki thinks to herself.

"Aki." Says Sakura. Aki then looks behind herself, seeing that she has caught up with her, with Grim keeping pace at her heels. "For a minute, I thought you had forgotten about meeting up with me." Aki says. She soon notices the look on Sakura's face. "What's wrong?" Asks Aki. "Have you seen Subaru?" Sakura asks. "No, I'm afraid I haven't. Did something happen?" Asks Aki. "He overheard my conversation with Godwin. I didn't realize it until it was too late." Sakura says. "What did he hear?" Asks Aki. "He heard me speaking about his father, not in the nicest of ways either." Sakura says. "Perhaps it's time for you to tell him about his father. And not just Subaru, but Velvet, too. I mean, Jack told Jace about you being his mother, and now you and him have that chance at a mother-son relationship." Says Aki. "Yes. However, Kyosuke doesn't know about Subaru and Velvet. And you heard Godwin, Dark Signers are resurrected from the dead. Which means, Kyosuke was already dead." Sakura says. "I know. But, you were going to have to tell them eventually. I may not be a mother myself, but if I were in your situation, I would consider my child's feelings over my own." Says Aki. She places her hand on Sakura's, gently. "I can't imagine all that you've been through, Sakura. But, if I can somehow ease your pain and be of help to you, I'll do everything I possibly can to do exactly that. You've done so much for me, more so than probably anyone. So, allow me to return the favor." Aki says. Sakura suddenly touches her face and kisses her, which shocks her, but she's not hating it either. Aki's actually giving in to her, who wraps her arm around the small of her back, holding her against her body. The moment holds for a few more minutes, until Sakura finally breaks the kiss and releases her from her hold, stepping back a bit. Aki touches her lips, still mesmerized by what just happened. "My first kiss… was taken by a woman… And I enjoyed it…" Aki thinks to herself. "I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me." Says Sakura. She moves to walk away, with Grim at her heels.

Aki, coming out of her reverie, looks up and reaches her hand towards Sakura. "Wait... just a minute!" Aki says.

Sakura stops walking and turns to look over her shoulder at her. "Hm?" Asks Sakura.

Aki runs up to her, looking her in the eyes. "What is it?" Sakura asks. "You just… kissed me." Says Aki. "Yes." Sakura says, bluntly. "But, you have children, three of them I might add." Says Aki. "Yes. If I confused you by my actions, I apologize." Sakura says. "No, it's not that. I thought you had feelings for Jack, and because you have children…" Says Aki. "Oh, that. I've never been open about my preferences. However, I'm actually bisexual. In fact, back when I lived in Satellite and before Jack and I even had feelings for each other, my first relationship was with a lesbian, actually. Not even Jack and Yusei know about her or about me being bisexual in the first place. No one knows this about me, except for you." Sakura says. Aki lowers her gaze from her. "Oh, I see. Uh, what did happen to your previous girlfriend?" Asks Aki. "She wasn't exactly my girlfriend, she was more of a friend with benefits, I guess you could say. And nothing, she and I ended on good terms. I haven't seen or heard from her in a few years, however, I do know that she's with her fated partner and living her life to the fullest." Sakura says. "I see. So does that mean you have feelings for me, then?" Asks Aki. Sakura has a small smile and touches her shoulder, making her look up at her. "Don't get the wrong idea. You are a very lovely and attractive young woman, and although I wouldn't mind taking you to my bed or even right here, I know you do not share the same preference as myself. I hope what happened here doesn't change our friendship towards each other." Sakura says. Aki's kind of blushing a bit and looks away from her again. "No, of course not. And don't worry, I'll keep your secret." Says Aki. Sakura then turns away and walks off, with Grim following after her. "Besides, I know you have a crush on my brother, Aki." Sakura says.

The look on Aki's face is priceless. "W-What, no… I just, uh…" Says Aki, blushing even more.

Sakura keeps walking, with a smile on her face, she knew it.

Aki moves to catch up with her and Grim.

Inside the house. Lua has found the lunch buffet. "Oh! Looks delicious! Which one should I choose? This, and this, and this!" Lua says. His plate piles higher with each 'this'.

Luca appears in the doorway across the room and runs toward him. "So this is where you were!" Says Luca. "Luca, you should also eat. It's delicious." Lua says. "Ugh! How can you be so carefree?" Asks Luca. "Uh, because no one is coming to eat. It would be a waste." Lua says. "No one has time for this. Lua, when you heard Director Godwin's story, didn't it make you think?" Asks Luca. "Not really. Because I'm not a Signer." Lua says. He pops something into his mouth, cheerfully. "I'm stunned! Everyone's being serious! They can't be carefree like you, Lua!" Says Luca. "Yeah, I'm carefree. Because I'm not a Signer." Lua says. He carries his plate over to a table. "I can't believe it!" Says Luca. "Luca, if you're not going to eat, then I'm going to eat everything all by myself." Lua says. "Do whatever you want! You can go to Satellite thinking that it's a picnic!" Says Luca. She turns to walk away.

"I'm not going." Lua says.

Luca turns back. "Huh?" Asks Luca.

Lua won't look at her. "I'm not going to Satellite." Lua says.

"What do you mean?" Asks Luca.

Lua still won't look at her.

"Lua?" Luca asks.

At the crater in the Satellite. Crow's D-Wheel is parked against a collapsed wall, and he's walking on a ledge some distance away. "I'll defeat a couple Dark Signers before Yusei returns. That's all I can do for now. Huh?" Crow thinks to himself.

He spots someone walking out of the crater on a set of stairs, it's Jaeger.

He tops the stairs and looks around.

"There's the first one! He looks so shady that he must be a Dark Signer!" Crow thinks to himself.

Jaeger's walking along the edge of the crater when a rope suddenly wraps around him. "Huh?" Asks Jaeger.

"I caught you!" Crow says. He jumps from a ledge above, pulling back the rope as he does to keep it tight. But when Crow lands and looks at what's on the other end of his rope, it's a cluster of metal poles sticking out of the ground. Jaeger's nowhere in sight. "Huh? Ah! Where did he go?" Asks Crow.

Jaeger strolls out from behind a nearby chunk of rubble, the look of malicious mischief in his eyes is truly disturbing. "Ahahahaha. You can't catch me with that. Mhmhmhmhmhm!" Jaeger says.

"Wait!" Says Crow.

Jaeger runs, and he chases.

He leaps quite nimbly, for a short guy, over a pile or two of rubble and runs into a warehouse covered with corrugated metal.

When Crow enters the warehouse, it is dark, big, and empty. The pale sunlight shows through rips in the dilapidated ceiling. "Huh. That punk… Where did he go?" Crow asks.

"Mmmhmhmhmhmhm." Jaeger laughs.

"Huh?" Asks Crow.

Jaeger descends from the ceiling into view standing on a large metal hook. "I won't run or hide." Jaeger says.

"You! Come down!" Says Crow.

"Hm. If you go near that place, it would be troublesome." Jaeger says.

"Heheh. Just as I thought, you're a Dark Signer." Says Crow.

"Oh, it seems there's a misunderstanding. Since you have that ugly marker, I also thought that you were a Dark Signer." Jaeger says.

"Huh?" Asks Crow.

Jaeger reaches the ground and jumps off of his hook, flicks his wrist and a little holoscreen pops out of his right sleeve. He brings up a dossier with Crow's picture on it. "Oh, I see. You're friends with Yusei Fudo, Sakura Kuraitaiyou and Jack Atlas." Jaeger says.

"What?" Asks Crow.

"Ahahahahahahaha." Jaeger laughs.

"It seems you're not a Dark Signer. Who are you?" Crow asks.

Jaeger retracts the holoscreen back into his sleeve. "I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Jaeger, the right-hand man of the Public Maintenance Department's Director Godwin."

"Public Maintenance Department?" Asks Crow.

Jaeger spreads his arms. "Anyway, don't go near that hole. That is all." Jaeger says. He turns to leave. A grappling chain flies through the air and it fastens onto Jaeger's duel disk. He looks back over his shoulder, still smiling. It looks like Jaeger will have to teach Crow manners the hard way. "You're persistent." Says Jaeger.

"Why is someone from the Public Maintenance Department lurking around here? Didn't your boss tell Yusei to defeat the Dark Signers?" Crow asks.

"That information is secret. I'm not required to answer a sewer rat like you." Says Jaeger.

Crow pulls the chain tight. "I'm no sewer rat! A freaky clown like you can't talk to me like that!" Crow says.

"Sheesh, you just don't give up. Fine. I'll duel you." Says Jaeger.

"Hmph!" Crow says. He hooks the grapple onto his duel disk. "It'll be good to warm up before battling the Dark Signers!" Says Crow.

"Hmhmhm." Jaeger laughs.

"Duel!" Both Jaeger and Crow say. With the commencement of a duel, the dark warehouse is slightly illuminated by the holographic equipment, revealing walls of gray-brown rust.

"I go first! I draw! I summon Blackwing-Bora the Spear in attack position!" Says Crow.

Blackwing-Bora the Spear has 1700 attack points and is a Level 3 monster.

"Oh!" Jaeger says. He pulls out his little screen for another peek at Crow's file. "I see, it's a deck that focuses on Blackwings." Says Jaeger.

"And one more! I also Special Summon Blackwing-Gale the Whirlwind in attack position!" Crow says.

Blackwing-Gale the Whirlwind has 1300 attack points and is a Level 3 monster. "I can Special Summon it from my hand when there's a Blackwing on my field. I set one card and end my turn." Says Crow.

"You have a monster and a Tuner Monster, but you're not going to Synchro Summon?" Jaeger asks.

Crow shrugs. "Now it's your turn." Says Crow.

"I hope you don't come to regret that decision. Ahahahahaha…" Jaeger says.

Yusei and Jack are right where we left them, with the former having just taken a punch to the stomach. Yusei's still recovering. "Hu-augh, hu-augh, Jack, what's that for?" Asks Yusei. "I'm going to teach you what you have to do!" Jack says. He punches Yusei again, and he falls to the ground face-first. He props himself on his elbows, reluctant to stand up and give Jack another opportunity, and turns to look up at him. "What's with the look in your eyes? You lost to Kiryu because you have eyes like an abandoned dog! I hate you because you took away my King status and humiliated me! Where's the Yusei Fudo from that time?" Asks Jack. Yusei looks at the ground. "Kiryu didn't die, Yusei!" Jack says. He points an accusing finger. "You did!" Says Jack. "Huh?" Yusei asks. "I can fight him! Even though Kiryu is a former friend, he's now an enemy that must be defeated!" Says Jack. Yusei looks at the ground again. "I…" Yusei says. Jack grabs him by the shirt and lifts him up nose-to-nose again. "If he hates you, then you have to hate him back even more! Besides, how do you even think Sakura feels about this?! Kiryu bloody raped her! Quite brutally and unmercifully! He even impregnated her in the process, unknowingly yes, but still unavoidable. And regardless of this fact, she still gave birth to the fraternal twins that Kiryu unintentionally gave her." Says Jack. "She didn't have a choice, Godwin forced her to birth them. And did you forget that you did the same thing to her as Kiryu did? True, I can't forgive Kiryu for what he did to Sakura. And you, even though you were being manipulated by Godwin into 'purifying' Sakura, you still raped and impregnated her. And of course, once she finally birthed your son, Godwin took it upon himself to take him away from her and then gave him to you, telling you nothing but lies." Yusei says. "Do not compare me to Kiryu! I loved Sakura then and I still love her now. Yes, what happened between us at Godwin's hands is inexcusable, but they happened. Kiryu, on the other hand, never loved or cared for Sakura, he saw her as a threat to his goals and decided to take matters into his own hands, in whatever way he thought would keep her from getting in his way. First, he thought taking her virtue away from her would devastate her enough. But, when that failed, he actually tried to kill her, which he nearly succeeded, but who got in his way of finishing her off. It was you! You saved Sakura from Kiryu." Says Jack. "I did what I had to do then and that was stopping Kiryu." Yusei says. "Exactly! You chose your sister over your best friend then! And you just might have to do it again. Now, you know as well as I do that it takes quite a bit to make Sakura shed tears, show fear or any other weakness. When I found her in the Arcadia building, she had the same look in her eyes that she had the night Kiryu raped her. That hint of fear and sadness, but it left just as quickly as it came. You and her are twins, doesn't matter if you're only related by the same mom! If Sakura can get past what happened to her, you should be able to do the same! If you can't do that, then you're just an empty shell!" Says Jack. He goes to punch Yusei for a third time, only for him to retaliate and give him a taste of his own medicine. He and Jack just punched each other in their respective faces. Yusei's glancing at him through one eye, his resolve has returned. "I'm not dead!" Yusei says. Jack's returning his gaze from one eye, with a smile on his face. "Those are the eyes I was looking for. The same eyes that make you equal to Sakura." Says Jack.

"Papa…" Jace says.

Jack and Yusei look around.

Jace and Velvet are standing nearby.

Jack and Yusei step away from each other.

Jace and Velvet walk up to them, standing in front of Jack and Yusei, respectively. "Uncle Yusei, you and mommy are brother and sister, you two are fraternal twins, just like me and Subaru, right?" Asks Velvet. Yusei nods, subtly. "Yes." Yusei says. "So, you must know my daddy, then?" Asks Velvet. Yusei's eyes widen at this. "She knows more than she should at her age. It's almost remarkable." Yusei thinks to himself. Velvet holds at one of her arms and lowers her eyes down to the ground. "I know he did bad things to mommy, I know he hurt her. I shouldn't even be asking about daddy, but I have always been curious about him." Velvet says. She looks up at Yusei. "Do you know my daddy?" Asks Velvet. Yusei sighs and kneels down to one knee before her. "If you were always so curious about your dad, why didn't you ever ask your mom about him?" Yusei asks. "Then again, Sakura forgot about Kiryu when she had amnesia. But, I wonder if she or Subaru ever asked about Kiryu before." Yusei thinks to himself. "Mommy was usually always busy with work and was barely home. And even when she was, the topic never seemed to be the right time to ask her. And Subaru, he was always close with mommy, but he's always been wary of her, too. I'm close with mommy, too, and love her dearly. But, I just feel that I would be closer to daddy, somehow. I don't know if Subaru ever felt the same way about daddy as I do. But, I just need to know about him, at least a little bit." Says Velvet. She's trying to fight off her tears and looks away from Yusei, her bangs hiding her eyes. "I don't know what to do. It should be Sakura to tell her about Kiryu, not me. But seeing her like this, I can't bear to see her so upset. She's my niece, my family. I have to at least tell her something about Kiryu." Yusei thinks to himself. He reaches his hand out towards Velvet and places it on her head, making her look up at him, with her tear-stained face. "Listen, Velvet. I don't feel right telling you who your dad is, its not my place. That's something you need to ask your mom about. But, I'll tell you something about him. Your dad and I were friends, best friends actually. And Jack here, he knew your dad, they were good friends, too. He was a cheerful and good person, who looked out for us, his teammates, and gave us hope. I feel that, that's a trait that you got from him, your personality is very similar to your dad's." Yusei says. "But even though he started out that way, he eventually changed. He became obsessed with protecting what we worked so hard to obtain, and grew paranoid into believing others who didn't follow him were a threat to the order we brought. This caused him to begin dueling people recklessly, including kids, which harmed them in the process, and this eventually lead him to challenge Security, which caused his downfall. Your dad was captured by them, sent to prison and blamed your uncle for his capture." Says Jack. He picks up Jace and holds him in one of his arm. "However, when I saw him last, he became even more crazed, he enjoyed the pain and misery of others. He also showed great hatred towards us, your mom and me especially." Yusei says. Velvet looks down. "I see. So, he hates mommy. And she must hate daddy." Says Velvet. She closes her eyes, fresh tears running down her face. "Mommy and daddy never loved each other. They only hated each other. That must mean, mommy and daddy hate me and Subaru, too. Mommy and daddy don't truly love us, either." Velvet says, through her tears. Yusei grips at her shoulders, gently. "That's not true. You and Subaru are your mom's whole world, she loves both of you dearly, you know that. And your dad, he never knew about you or Subaru. He unfortunately died in prison." Says Yusei. Velvet looks back up at him, tears still running down. "Daddy's dead?" Velvet asks, through her tears. "We just recently found out about this ourselves. Sorry, Velvet." Says Yusei. He pulls Velvet close, hugging her, as she cries into his shoulder.

Lua and Luca are in the dining room. "Hey… Why don't you want to go to Satellite?" Luca asks.

Lua turns around and tries to smile it off. "Because I always get carried away." Says Lua. His smile wavers. "So when people say that I'm a hero that protects his sister, I act like it's true." Lua says. He smiles again. "I'm so stupid. But I was reminded of the truth when Divine defeated me. I'm not a hero." Says Lua.

"Lua…" Luca says.

Lua turns away again. "I never said this, but when I was little, I thought you were in my way, Luca. That you were a burden. I couldn't go to duel tournaments or the King's autograph sessions because of you." Says Lua.

Luca has tears in her eyes. "Hm. I knew that." Luca says.

Lua turns. "Huh?" Asks Lua.

"I was always sick. That's why you were never allowed to go out and play. I always wanted to apologize. I'm really sorry." Luca says. "Stop that! I'll feel embarrassed if you apologize!" Says Lua. "Huh?" Luca asks. "Luca, you're amazing! You're a Signer! You're the reincarnation of an ancient warrior! You're nothing like me!" Says Lua. "Huh?" Luca asks. "The person who was the real burden was me. If I come along, I'll only get in your way. I'll stay here and cheer you on." Says Lua. He does fake cheering. "'Hooray, hooray, Luca! Beat the Dark Signers! Yeeeah!'" Lua says. Luca is shaking. "You idiot. I'm scared!" Says Luca. She looks at him, tears pouring down her cheeks. "If you don't come along, then I don't know what's going to happen to me!" Luca says. "Huh? Luca…" Says Lua. "It's fine if you're not a hero. Just protect me, like always." Luca says. She's now crying into his shirt. "Just like how Sakura and Yusei protect each other. And Subaru and Velvet, too." Says Luca.

Jack, Jace, Velvet and Yusei are sitting on a grassy knoll somewhere on the estate, the former and latter not looking at each other. "Jack." Yusei says. "What is it?" Asks Jack, still kind of mad. "You made me come to my senses. The Dark Signers are putting this world in danger. In order to protect my Satellite friends and those I hold dear, I must be prepared." Yusei says. Jack glances over his shoulder at him. "You never change. You're always talking about your friends and those who need protection." Says Jack. Yusei doesn't see him pull Carly's broken glasses out of a pocket of his coat. "The person I need to protect is…" Jack thinks to himself. The glasses gleam in the sunlight.

Unnoticed by either of them, Minako is some distance away, watching them.

"It looks like you made up your mind." Aki says.

"Huh? Aki." Says Yusei.

Aki has joined them. "I'll battle alongside you. I feel that it'll lead me to what I need to do." Aki says.

"I see." Says Yusei.

"Yusei!" Luca says. She is running toward them, and Lua's staying on the path as she runs across the grass. "Luca." Says Yusei. "Are you going?" Luca asks. "Yes." Says Yusei. "Ah!" Luca says. She turns to look back at Lua.

He steps forward, and nods, slowly, he's in. Solemn moment, then Lua waves to them and runs over. "Yusei! I understand now! The reason why you're cool is because you always believe in yourself and battle!" Says Lua. "Lua!" Yusei says. "Jack, you're no longer the King, but you're still cool!" Says Lua. "'No longer the King?'" Jack asks. "That's why I can also become cool!" Says Lua. "You can't! A kid like you can never be cool!" Jack says. Lua doesn't stop smiling, how many people are good enough friends with him to tease him like this? "I will! I will definitely become cool!" Says Lua. The other Signers, Velvet and Jace watch with amusement. "I declare that you will never be cool!" Jack says. "If I say that I will, then I will. I will!" Says Lua.

Sakura soon joins them, with Grim following alongside her, coming up from behind Aki.

"Sakura." Jack says. Yusei notices the look on Sakura's face. "What is it?" Asks Yusei.

"Have either of you seen Subaru?" Sakura asks.

"No, I haven't seen him." Says Yusei. Jack just shakes his head.

Sakura then looks down at Lua and Luca. "What about you two?" Sakura asks.

Luca shakes her head. "Nope." Says Luca. "I haven't seen him since breakfast." Lua says.

Sakura turns her attention to her daughter. "Velvet, have you seen your brother?" Asks Sakura.

"No. Not since this morning." Velvet says.

"I see." Says Sakura.

"What's going on?" Jack asks.

"Subaru overheard my conversation with Godwin. He ran off before I could explain things to him." Says Sakura.

"Was it about Kiryu?" Yusei asks.

Sakura nods, subtly. "Yes." Says Sakura.

"Mother." Subaru says.

Sakura looks over at him.

Subaru's walking over to them, stopping to stand before her. "Subaru, where have you been?" Asks Sakura. Subaru lowers his gaze from hers and holds at his arm, nervously. "I'm sorry if I worried you, Mother. Are you mad?" Subaru asks. Sakura folds her arms over her chest and sighs, lightly. "No, I'm not mad at you. I know you heard me say some things to Godwin about your father. Not the nicest of things about him, either. However, you shouldn't have had to hear me speak of him that way." Says Sakura. Subaru grips at his arm a bit harder and chews at the side of his lip a bit. "I didn't mean to eavesdrop. I'm sorry." Subaru says. Sakura places her hand on his head and he looks up at her, tears threatening to escape from his eyes. "You don't have to apologize, Subaru. I was never mad about that. I was just worried about you and wanted to make sure that you were alright." Says Sakura. Subaru's tears finally fall down his face and he wipes at his eyes. Sakura kneels down in front of him and takes him into her arms, holding her son close to herself. She then looks over at Velvet, sitting next to Yusei, with tears in her eyes, too. Sakura reaches her hand out towards her, who gets up after getting a small nudge from Yusei, and runs over to her mother, who embraces both her son and daughter close to herself. "Regardless about how I feel about your father, you two are my greatest treasures. I know I haven't been the greatest mother to you two, and that I have been tough on both of you. However, I love both of you dearly." Sakura says. She moves both Subaru and Velvet out of the embrace, and stands up. "I've come to a decision. I have neglected to tell you in the past. However, that all comes to an end today." Says Sakura. Both Subaru and Velvet look up at her, wide-eyed. "I shall tell you about your father." Sakura says.

Lua and Luca both gasp, in awe and surprise.

Yusei and Jack both seem just as shocked at this.

Aki just simply shrugs and has a small smile on her face. "I shall tell you this right away. Your father and I did not love each other. In fact, we downright hated each other. Your uncle and Jack were friends with your father, so they knew his better qualities more than I did. I will say this about your father, though. He fought for what he believed in, making the Satellite a better place for not just himself, but others, as well. However, when things did not go his way, he took matters into his own hands. He went about it the wrong way and went after Security. He ended up in prison, with hatred in his heart towards his friends, Jack and your uncle included, and with an intense hatred towards me. He blamed your uncle, and probably me, as well. We recently found out that he died while in prison. He never knew about you two, he didn't even know he got me pregnant with you two, either. Your father's name is Kyosuke Kiryu." Says Sakura. Subaru and Velvet both lower their gazes from her. "I'm sorry I never told you about him before now. However, the reason I am telling you about him now is because he's come back as a Dark Signer. Godwin was telling us about the Dark Signers last night and he told us that they are resurrected from the dead with unusual powers. That is how we found out that your father died in the first place." Sakura says. "So, daddy is now an evil Dark Signer." Says Velvet. "And mother is a powerful, good Signer." Subaru says. "That means, mommy and daddy are enemies." Says Velvet. "And must fight each other." Subaru says. "Unfortunately, your father and I are at war now. In order to save this world and protect everyone, your father and the other Dark Signers must be stopped." Says Sakura. "Your mom won't be doing it alone, though." Aki says.

"That's right, she's got us on her side." Says Jack.

"Yeah!" Lua says. "We're all fighting on the same side." Says Luca.

"We're all with you, sis. We'll stand with you." Yusei says.

"So, you have all made your decisions, then." Says Sakura.

The other Signers all nod, while Lua just smiles and puts up a peace sign with his fingers.

"Very well. I'm glad I have the trust of all of you. However, there is some thing's that I must disclose to all of you." Sakura says. She moves closer to the group and sits down on the grass, opposite of Jack, Grim lies himself down beside her, resting his head in her lap, while she strokes his head, lightly petting him.

Aki comes to sit down on the other side of Sakura, opposite of Yusei.

Luca and Lua seat themselves on the grass, too, the former sitting close to Grim, while the latter sits near Jace.

Subaru and Velvet also come to sit on the grass, the former sitting next to Yusei, while the latter seats herself next to Aki.

"What Godwin was saying last night was the truth. I did have another life before this one and another before that. So, this is actually the third life I have lived." Says Sakura. "You've been reincarnated three times?" Aki asks. "Technically, only twice. My first life was my original life, after all." Says Sakura.

"What was your first life like? What were you like? Were you the same in that life as you are now?" Lua asks. "Lua, try one question at a time." Says Luca.

"It is all right, Luca. He's curious, as I am sure you all are." Sakura says. As she continues to pet Grim, the red, diamond-shaped gem once again appears at the center of his head, embedded into the flesh and contrasting with his dark fur. A shining light soon appears at the center of Sakura's forehead and as the light disappears, the silver sun emblem and the red, diamond-shaped gem embedded in the center of it, are left behind. A sudden spiral of black light appears, obscuring both her and Grim from view.

The other Signers, Lua, Subaru, Velvet and Jace wait and watch.

As the spiral of light dissipates, Sakura's appearance changes to that of Princess Galaxia, with her long, dark dress and fluttery ribbons down the back sprawled out around her, obscuring her feet and legs from view for the most part, with the exception of the split down the left side, which leaves most of her left leg exposed from her hip to almost her shin. She lies her dark wings along her dress and as she opens her now slanted, red eyes, she places one of her slightly clenched, gloved hands upon her bust, elegantly, which this dress truly shows how busty she really is, as it exposes her breasts quite a bit, due to it being a deep V-neck, backless, halter dress. "This is my truest self, what I looked like back in my very first life. From my appearance, I obviously was not human originally. I was a vampire-succubus hybrid. However, since I was originally born in space, I was also a humanoid alien, as well." Says Princess Galaxia.

"Wait, you came from space?" Lua asks.

"Yes." Says Princess Galaxia. "Forgive me for saying, but you almost look like a princess." Aki says. "That's because I was." Says Princess Galaxia.

"You actually were a princess?" Both Luca and Aki ask, in amazement and bewilderment.

"Yes. In my very first life, my truest self. I was the princess of the Sun Kingdom, which at that time was called Celestial Solace, and I was also the princess of the Kingdom of the Galaxy, at the time it was known as Ebony Dimension. I was born as, Princess Galaxia."

"Hey. Grim has the same gem on his head as you." Says Lua.

"Yes, Grim was my familiar back then, as well. He is meant to represent the dark side of myself, of my home Ebony Dimension." Princess Galaxia says.

"So, if Grim is the manifestation of your darker side. Then, where's your light side?" Asks Jack.

"Unlike Grim, my light side is not a familiar. Rather, she is a guardian spirit. She isn't with me. However, I do know where she is." Princess Galaxia says.

"If she isn't with you, who is she with?" Asks Yusei.

"She is with Hotaru, currently." Princess Galaxia says.

"Wait, are you talking about Aurora?" Asks Yusei.

"Yes, Aurora is my guardian spirit. The manifestation of my light side, of my secondary home Celestial Solace." Princess Galaxia says.

"Is Aurora a dog, too?" Asks Luca.

"In a sense, she is a fox. About the same size as Grim, but a lot more slimmer in stature and very elegant." Princess Galaxia says.

"So, the exact opposite of Grim." Says Lua.

"Exactly. I guess, you can call Grim and Aurora my representations of Yin and Yang." Princess Galaxia says. "So, what happened? What caused you to be reincarnated in the first place?" Asks Aki. "Well, long story short, I only lived to see sixteen in my first life. My home Ebony Dimension was the first to fall. My mother in that life, the sole ruler of the galaxy, Queen Galatea, died when I was only six and shortly after her passing, my aunt in that life, my mother's younger sister, Queen Nehelenia, became what was meant to be the temporary ruler of Ebony Dimension, until I came of age to ascend my mother's throne. However, when I turned sixteen, Ebony Dimension had already fallen under my aunt's rule, drastically. At that time, I knew my kingdom was beyond help and I couldn't do anything about it at that point in time, I wasn't of age yet and even if I was, my aunt wouldn't have given up the throne willingly. By the time I would have come of age, the kingdom my mother had once ruled over would have been diminished to nothing. Unfortunately, there was nothing I could have done to save Ebony Dimension from its downfall. However, there was another throne that I had been born to ascend. My father in that life, King Sol, ruled over Celestial Solace, the Sun Kingdom. So, it was decreed that I would one day be the Sun Queen, but me being sixteen at the time, danger would be anywhere, my own aunt included. With that being said, I found out from my mother's old transcripts, that both she and my father had assigned special guards for me, who came to be my most loyal and trusted Guardians." Princess Galaxia says.

"Guardians?" Asks Jack.

"Yes. They weren't familiars like Grim or guardian spirits like Aurora. Similar to myself, they were also humanoid aliens, as well as princesses of their respective planets. First, was the Princess of Miranda Castle, the kingdom of Uranus. She was my second-in-command, as well as my right-hand woman. Second, was the Princess of Triton Castle, the kingdom of Neptune. Third, was the Princess of Charon Castle, the kingdom of Pluto. She was also the daughter of Chronos, the God of Time. And last, was the Princess of Titan Castle, the kingdom of Saturn." Princess Galaxia says. "Four Guardians? Were they reincarnated, too?" Asks Aki. "Yes, they were. Twice, just as I was." Princess Galaxia says.

"Who are they now? Do they all remember their past lives, too?" Asks Lua.

"For safety reasons, I shall not reveal their current identities or whereabouts. It is already bad enough that Godwin knows about me. There is no need to get them involved." Princess Galaxia says.

"So, what happened next?" Asks Luca.

"Due to Saturn's Princess being the youngest of my Guardians, I decided to halt on sending for her until she would become a little older. So, I only sent for my other three Guardians. However, even with them as my Guardians, and having Grim and Aurora constantly at my side for protection purposes, I still didn't feel safe knowing that my aunt could try to strike me down at any given moment. So, I fled from Ebony Dimension, the once great kingdom that my mother had once ruled over, along with Grim, Aurora and my Guardians, and took shelter on a planet called Kinmoku. The Crown Princess of Kinmoku provided us with her hospitality and shelter, until I would be of age to ascend my father's throne. However, she and I had gotten into a disagreement, and I took off afterward. That night would also bring forth another form of myself." Princess Galaxia says. The sun emblem and gem on her forehead start glowing and the beam of black light obscures her once again.

When the light diminishes, Sakura is back to her normal everyday appearance and clothed in her usual attire, the sun emblem and gem vanishing from her forehead. The gem embedded into Grim's head disappears, too. "I was killed a few days after that and reborn into my second life, as a human on Earth this time. However, that is a story for another time." Says Sakura.

"Whoa!" Lua says. "It's still so unbelievable. But, at the same time, makes so much sense." Says Luca.

"I'm sure it is a lot to process." Sakura says. "You said that you were killed, originally. How exactly?" Asks Aki. "Well, during the end of Silver Millennium, the Dark Kingdom unleashed an attack on the Moon Kingdom, using an army of brainwashed humans. They laid waste to the Moon Kingdom, as well as killing many of its people, which also spread into the rest of the universe, including the Sun Kingdom. I lost my life after being stabbed through the back by twelve swords. All hope seemed lost until Queen Serenity, the ruler of the Moon Kingdom at that time, at the cost of her own life, used her powers to seal away the Dark Kingdom and send her people, as well as all who had fallen at the hands of the Dark Kingdom, myself included, to Earth to be reincarnated into the present time. So, that is how I was reborn into my second life." Sakura says. "Such a terrible death." Says Aki.

"But, if she sent you all to Earth to be reincarnated in the present time. The timing doesn't exactly add up, sis." Yusei says.

"That is because this Earth is separate from the same timeline as the Earth I was first reborn on." Says Sakura.

"Separate timeline's?" Yusei asks.

"Yes. Both my first and second lives were in a different timeline from the one we are all currently in at the moment. Two different dimensions, a dimensional rift in space-time. The Earth from my second life had already reached far passed the 30th century. Whereas, this Earth has yet to even come close to the 30th century yet." Says Sakura.

"That's amazing!" Luca says.

"You are all taking this extraordinarily well." Says Sakura.

"After all we've been told in the past two days, this isn't the hardest to register." Jack says.

"We still trust you, Sakura." Says Luca.

"We have even more faith in you now that you conveyed in us your deepest hidden secret." Aki says.

"More like hidden past." Says Jack.

"What I told you is only half of it, the rest I shall reveal on another day." Sakura says.

"And when you're ready to tell us more, we'll be here waiting and ready to listen." Says Yusei.

The Signers are finally a team, complete with lighthearted squabbling, storytelling and hanging out on the grass together, laughing.

"Here I go. I draw!" Jaeger says. He puts his draw in his hand and takes the right-hand three cards out of it. "I set three cards and end my turn." Says Jaeger. He slots each card with an extra flick or flourish, his duel disk is yellow, with orange light-up areas.

"What? You're just going to set cards? You don't have any monsters in your hand?" Crow asks.

"Maybe… Mmhmhmhmhm. Now it's your turn." Says Jaeger.

"Then here I come! I draw! I want to get the advantage right away, but those three set cards are a problem." Crow says.

"Mmahahahahahahaha." Jaeger laughs.

"All I can do for now is a quick attack! Bora the Spear attacks you directly!" Says Crow.

"I activate my trap 'Imperial Manners'. I can activate this card when your monster declares an attack. If I have no monsters on my field, then all your monsters in attack position are destroyed!" Jaeger says.

"What? You must be kidding! I activate my trap 'Urgent Tuning'!" Says Crow. "If I use this to Synchro Summon, they won't be destroyed. It's a waste to use my trump card now, but it can't be helped." Crow thinks to himself.

"Aha! That's a card that lets you Synchro Summon during the Battle Phase. But too bad. The Continuous Trap 'Discord'. When this card is on the field, neither of us can Synchro Summon." Jaeger says.

"What?" Asks Crow.

"You take 'Imperial Manners's' effect." Jaeger says.

"Ugh! You destroyed my monsters and prevented me from Synchro Summoning?" Asks Crow.

"When you didn't Synchro Summon on your previous turn, I was able to figure out your strategy." Jaeger says.

"Don't get cocky because your little combo succeeded! I set one card and end my turn!" Says Crow.

"Sheesh, why did a fool like you set foot in this dangerous area?" Jaeger asks.

"So that I can defeat the Dark Signers with a special combo, of course!" Says Crow.

"Just quit. A swamp rat like you can't defeat them." Jaeger says.

"Leave me alone! Even if I'm a fool or a swamp rat, the duelist with the stronger battle spirit always wins in the end!" Says Crow.

"Hmhmhm. What a cute fool you are. I'll give you something to remember. Here I go. I draw!" Jaeger says. He draws his card and shows it. "I summon Jester Lord in attack position." Says Jaeger.

Jester Lord has 0 attack points and is a Level 1 monster.

"What's that?" Crow asks.

"Attack him directly!" Says Jaeger.

"It attack me directly when it has zero attack points? What are you thinking?" Crow asks.

"When there are no other monsters on the field, Jester Lord gains one thousand attack points for every spell and trap card." Asks Jaeger.

"What?" Crow asks.

"There are currently three spell and trap cards on the field. Therefore, Jester Lord's attack points are…" Says Jaeger.

Jester Lord's attack points rise up to 3000.

"Three thousand attack points? You must be joking! I activate my trap 'Dust Tornado'! I use this to destroy 'Discord'!" Crow says. "By getting rid of two trap cards, Jester Lord's attack points decrease to one thousand points. I'll still take damage, but I'll be able to Synchro Summon on my next turn." Crow thinks to himself.

"I activate the Continuous Trap 'Imperial Custom'. All Continuous Traps on my field other than this one cannot be destroyed. Therefore, Jester Lord has two thousand attack points!" Says Jaeger.

"What?" Crow asks.

Jester Lord's attack points are reduced to 2000. "Jester Lord attacks you directly." Says Jaeger.

Jester Lord hits Crow with the two fireballs he was juggling, which dissipate as they hit and lower his life points to 2000. "Heheheh. Well done. I didn't know the Public Maintenance Department had someone who did crazy duels." Crow says.

"Thanks for the flattery. You also did well in lowering Jester Lord's attack points by activating a trap." Says Jaeger.

"Hah! Then let's keep having fun!" Crow says.

Him and Jaeger, face-to-face in the arena. The latter's chuckling.
