Hey everyone, happy Friday. Time for a new update. Now, do we remember the quote, There's only one of you, not two. Well in the reviews, I liked what you were thinking, but sorry to say but you weren't close. No way, Jay would get rid of his powers for starters, that doesn't work but I got something else in mind. One that you may have never saw coming. Let's see what Jay's solution is then.

Chapter 14: The Android of Lightning

The lights flickered and buzzed after the switch was flicked with a quick swipe of the finger. Jay gazed around the Destiny's Bounty's cargo bay or basement as it was used for storage and squinted his eyes through the slight darkness. He sighed and knocked on the switch lightly and the rest of the area illuminated to the bright intensity. One thing from the entire ship in this area was bad wiring he installed and been meaning to fix it, but kept forgetting. But now wasn't a time for that, he had rather important things to attend to.

In front of him stood a long table of necessary supplies he needed for his project. Tools, copper wiring, and hair dye even. And medical supplies of some sorts. And behind him was another long table with a white sheet over something. What he had hidden underneath was something he had to take straight from Oscorp without being seen. Had to fake a sick day from the team just to get what he needed for a day off, like if he was in school to get out of a test. But this was different than a math test, to him it was inventing one-oh-one. The lightning ninja turned to the other table to walk over and removed the sheet.

To stare at himself on the table.

In front of his hazel eyes laid the android from Oscorp waiting to be finished and reimagine as him. This was going to be the finishing project and robot that was going to be alive. It already had his facial features, skin tone, and height. But the things it lacked was hair color, for it was long and dark, eyes were blue, and not even a vertical scar on his right eyebrow. And a power source that Oscorp has tried many times but each attempts were unstable to bring life to the android without a name. But he saw this as a challenge he could do to work with to bring life to this android. Or better yet, Nindroid. This was going to be his replacement to fill him in when he is being Spiderman. Like Cole said, there's only one of you, not two. He was wrong.

Awe inspired to what was in front of him, the blue ninja felt around the robot's bare chest to find a latch or something to gain access to his chest cavity for the components that make him an android like Zane's hatch. Once he felt a spot that felt soft and unusual over by his, what would be his left kidney if he had organs, and pressed it down to see if he could open it manually. But it instead hissed to split open in the middle like an autopsy and swung open two hatches to have Jay blink. This is different than Zane is. he said to himself and turned an overhead light on to observe the android and blink more. "This is definitely, mostly different than Zane."

Indeed he was right as he studied his...clone more and more. He knew the white ninja was built from spare parts with a metal endoskeleton for his bones and multiple switches for his emotions and memories. But compared to this robot and Zane, his doppelganger was more advanced. There wasn't one speck of switches in the chest cavity, but many wires and almost anything he would see from a computer monitor. But what kind of grossed him out was this sticky gunk of clear goo that was everywhere in the robot's body when he had to move it aside to see where it was. It most definitely remind him of the Cybermen when he used to watch a show called Doctor Who when they were humans before being upgraded to savage robots. Oh please don't override to delete the human race. he begged and moved a couple of wires and goo until he found what he hoped was what he needed.

In the very center of the chest cavity was a circular like disc humming softly with a translucent blue hue of light flickering as a surge of energy passed. Jay quickly grabbed a visor with magnify lenses attached to the bill to tap a lens to enhance his vision more closely. The disc hummed to brighten and dimmed as another surge passed through to have him realize something. "He's actually alive," he breathed a small gasp. "But he's dying in a coma. That's what Uncle Ben said when he doesn't have time left. He needs a better battery or power source. But what?" The lightning ninja turned away to grab a few tools and the blue prints of the android to lay them on a side table and raised a brow on the name. Experiment Zero. Experiment Zero? "Maybe he should have a better name than that." he figured. "How about Jay 2? Yeah that actually sounds better."

Jay smiled to the newly named nindroid to chuckle lightly. Jay 2. It sounded perfect. Since there was already one Jay, Jay 2 sounded perfect to be his doppelganger. Unlike how Garmadon used the Mega Weapon to create evil clones to destroy them at Darkly's Boarding School for Bad Boys, this should be different. It shall not be evil. But for it to be like him, it has to look like him. That was where the hair dye and scissors come in. "Now time for an extreme makeover. Ha-ha." he laughed lightly and grabbed the hair dye comb to give the tube of dye attached a gentle squeeze to begin combing the android's hair.

As he brushed Jay 2's dark hair with the dye, he smiled as the hair was becoming lighter than it was. But it needed more dye to be similarly close to his hair color. After a few minutes of it being set, the blue ninja began to dye more of the android's hair until he felt it was just right. To make sure more, he held a small hand-held mirror to study his hair carefully and looked over to compare his with Jay 2's to an exact color match. "Perfect." he smiled. "Stage one down, now commence stage two." and grabbed the scissors.

Few minutes and each snip later, the Ninja of Lightning had to keep sure he was getting the android's hair to be like his; using pictures of himself and the mirror. As he snipped the bangs, he carefully arranged them to have a long part hang over his left eye and a small part next to it. He smiled as it was becoming like him exactly, but not almost. All he needed was a scar on his eyebrow. To Jay it was simple. He gingerly grabbed a pair of tweezers to carefully pluck away each hair follicle until he made his scar with an exact width, angle, and thin graze on the right eyebrow. Once he got the scar just right, he quickly took some paint to create a small false healed scar for texture until it was like his. Oh wait. The eyes. he realized and opened a container of colored contact lenses. He opened each eyelid to carefully place each lens in to smile. Now he is like me.

"But now for the hard part." he said and grabbed a torch and a striker to struck it.

Time ticked on the clock that hung on the wall beside Jay as his brows were stitched together tightly in concentration. Perspiration of sweat formed on his brows and had to use the sleeve of his blue long sleeved shirt to wipe his forehead dry as he carefully focused working and operating on Jay 2. His time and work has gone longer than he expected; practically all day and he was worried if everyone came home before he could finish and realized he would be in huge trouble if they found out he wasn't sick. He would definitely be in huge trouble if they saw him as a lying man. It was something he couldn't risk. But it was only if he could bring Jay 2 to life with a better power source. And he had to start racing against the clock now.

As he worked on his surgery, he averted his hazel eyes away to a computer monitor on his right to view and analyze Jay 2's power levels. Somehow he was lucky enough to connect a few wires to Jay 2's power source to an old computer. Nice enough to work as a heart-rate monitor for him. But to each passed surge of energy, the computer would alert the auburn teen that his levels were decreasing little by little. It kept making Jay more paranoid that he was losing his patient. He was glad enough to take him on time before he took a turn for the worst at Oscorp.

Anxiety washed over him as he wasn't getting anywhere now to groan and toss his pliers aside. He was losing time and patients to think harder on how to revive the new blue ninja. He couldn't debate if he needed a Compact Converter Jiggly Compressor or an Up-Down Router Derouter-a-Bop or even a Whiz-Bang Automatic Amplifier. Crazy as those sounded, it is stuff he had in the junkyard to convert into his inventions, to operate with. But none of them seemed possible to bring Jay 2 to life. He sighed to rest his arms onto the table and lean on them to rest his tired eyes. "I'm running out of options." he groaned. "I need a miracle now."

As he sighed and groaned, he felt something warm on the back of his neck to lift his head up and peered over his shoulder to a porthole window across the room. He watched as the beam of light stretched themselves across the floor and slowly crept onto the table. He felt confused at first, but it slowly dawned onto him. His miracle. "Of course!" he squeaked in sudden hope. "Solar power. It's renewable, easy to convert. I even got some small panels lying around here. And it'll give him life. I better be quick then." Adrenaline soon kicked into his veins to have him bouncing on the balls of his feet to quickly grab his tools and continue with his operation.

Time was frantic for the blue ninja as his hazel eyes were narrow with pure concentration. The setting sun had stretched its beam of sunlight from the small window onto the body of the android. But the lights were slowly leaving from the body and it made Jay more worried that he was running out of time. But he knew he was almost finished with everything. Small solar panels were attached onto Jay 2's power source and the real Jay had to smile as he proceeded, his power levels were slowly increasing as the heart was accepting the source. But it needed more sunlight for it to work. After Jay tightened the last panel into place, he quickly turned around to fire a stream of web from his wrist to the window and pulled it open and more sunlight poured into the basement. He started to breathe heavily has he didn't know he was and turned to Jay. "Now we wait." he breathed.

Oh wait. There was one very important thing. Something that needed to be dealt with before he woke up.

Jay lifted Jay 2's left arm to carefully open the panel like it was Zane's to see a far more advance computer system in the arm and carefully laid down to turn and grabbed his last supplies. A small glass tube the size of a large pill and a syringe. Why would he need to have them in the place? Well because he needed a little bit of his blood. Why? His uncle once told him that blood cells hold many wondrous genes that make people themselves; genes, traits, and even memories. And that's what he intended to do for Jay 2. A small bit of his DNA to have Jay 2 think, talk, and act like him. Even the memories categorized in his blood will help him know everyone around him, parents, friends, and Nya. How cool was that?

Taking a deep breath, Jay quickly sanitized his finger to carefully prick it and slowly pulled the plunger to draw a little of his blood. He sighed as it was now over as he hated needles less than clowns and dispersed the blood into the capsule and turned back to the android to grab his arm. "Please work." he begged and inserted the sample into a slot. And it accepted it. He smiled in triumph and waited to hope for the best.

Ten minutes passed and the lightning ninja started to become worried as Jay 2 wasn't becoming responsive. His power levels accepting the solar panels, but his power levels were depleting. It was making Jay more worried to the news. "What if I'm too late?" he wondered in worry. "What if he fails to respond? All of that work, gone." A loud beep brought Jay out of his thoughts to turn to the computer monitor to watch the heart-rate of the nindroid's power levels slowly rise up and fall shallow until it fell flat with a long beep.

Jay felt his heart stop to what happened to feel his face fall in grief. He sighed to watch the dimmed blue light of Jay 2's heart slowly fade until it was black with no source of light flickering and flicked the computer off to feel his eyes become watery and leaned on the operating table to sniffle quietly. He was so close, but lost his patient. He may have not known him that long, but he had put so much work into him to revive him. The auburn sniffled more to turn away and leaned himself to the wall to dry his red, wet eyes with his sleeve to start thinking of a Plan B. "What am I going to do now?" he sighed mournfully. "I'm hooped now."

Unbeknownst to the blue ninja, he wasn't hooped than he thought. Jay 2's power source may have died, but remarkably the power source began flickering a light blue hue until it became bright and hummed. Fingers twitched in movement and brows scrunched as an auburn teen stirred to groan. His hazel eyes snapped open to gasp a huge choking breath to jolt up in his spot. Jay, hearing the commotion, turned to the source to have his jaw dropped in amazement as he thought Jay 2 was gone, but a miracle happened. Jay 2 was alive.

The android found his breath to slowly calm down and gazed at his hands and soon his chest to see his chest cavity opened wide with robot components that made him an android. He looked surprised and turned to Jay to quiver a bit. "Wh-What happened to me?" he asked in Jay's exact voice.

Aww... Betcha you didn't see this coming. Don't get me wrong here. But this came to me in a dream because there was something blocking me from writing and I couldn't figure it out. This came and I saw it clearly. Two Jays, but with two Jays, something is bound to happen later. But you'll have to wait and keep reading. So anyway, thank you for reading the update, leave a review if you to, have a great weekend and I'll see you all next week. :)
