Chapter 18: Create The Divine Wind! Blackwing Armed Wing!
Sunset over Domino City. Yusei and Aki are standing on a balcony at Godwin's house watching it. "I wonder if the sunset was this red five thousand years ago." Aki says. "Probably. But there's no guarantee that it will be this red tomorrow unless we protect the world." Says Yusei. "Yeah. You're right." Aki says.
Lua, Luca, Jace, Velvet and Subaru are watching the sunset from behind a nearby window, enchanted. Grim's sitting between Jace and Velvet.
Jack and Sakura are lazing on the roof watching the sunset and painted clouds. He's looking at Carly's smashed glasses again. Jack then brings his attention over to Sakura, who's fallen asleep. "She's asleep. I guess that's to be expected, considering she's the most aware of everything that's happening. I wonder if she fears this upcoming battle." Jack thinks to himself. He moves a little closer to Sakura and examines her sleeping face. Jack holds at her face, gently. "Even when she's asleep, she seems so sad and vulnerable. But, she's still so beautiful." Jack thinks to himself.
Sakura awakens, slowly, looking him in the eyes. She doesn't seem to mind how close Jack is to her, either. He then removes his hand from her face. "Sorry, did I wake you?" Asks Jack. "No, it's fine. I feel a little safer when you are with me." Sakura says. "Is that so? You know, I do still have feelings for you." Says Jack. "I know. However, even after all that has happened. I don't entirely know how I feel towards you." Sakura says. "Don't say you don't love me." Says Jack. "No, I can never say that. It's just, I'm torn over what to do and despite everything that is going on now. I just feel so lost and it is hurting me." Sakura says. "Sakura, I'm here and I always will be and if we get through this battle with the Dark Signers. I promise you, I'll never leave you to go through things alone. I'll follow you anywhere." Says Jack. "I appreciate that, Jack. However, you need to realize, I'm not exactly the same person you first fell in love with. I don't even look the same as I did." Sakura says. Jack holds at her face again, cherishing her. "You're still beautiful in my eyes." Says Jack. Sakura lifts up one of her hands and places it on his cheek. They then both close their eyes and she pulls Jack into a kiss and he returns it back to her. The kiss lasts for several minutes, until their lips separate. "Let's just keep this between us for now. Everyone needs a clear head for the upcoming battle." Sakura says. "I agree with you completely." Says Jack. Sakura then suddenly senses something and sits herself up. "What is it?" Jack asks. "I've had this feeling once before. This feeling of uneasiness, something sinister is at hand." Says Sakura. "Is it the Dark Signers?" Jack asks. "Most likely. However, this is almost beyond sinister. The darkness that the Dark Signers possess, has become much stronger than I have ever felt it before. The Crimson Dragon can sense it, as well." Says Sakura.
"Master Atlas!" Minako says.
"Huh?" Asks Jack. He cranes his neck to look without sitting up.
Minako has found him. "I thought you'd be here." Minako says.
"What is it?" Asks Jack.
Minako notices Carly's glasses.
"Hey, what is it?" Jack asks.
"Satellite is in trouble!" Says Minako.
"What?" Jack asks. He and Sakura exchange looks, could this be what she's sensing?
Aerial shot of the Satellite, a smaller island with a wide, C-shaped berth of water between it and the City.
Then, aerial of the massive crater.
And then to Crow and Jaeger's duel, right where we left it. The latter with 4000 life points, while the former has 2000.
Jaeger has Jester Lord and two continuous traps, 'Discord' and 'Imperial Custom', on the field.
"Keep on entertaining me! Or are you already ending your turn?" Asks Crow.
"Ahahahahahaha. Don't get impatient. You'll be dancing in the palm of my hands soon enough!" Jaeger says.
"Hah! We'll see which one of us is going to dance!" Says Crow.
"I Special Summon Jester Confit from my hand in attack position." Jaeger says.
Jester Confit has 0 attack points and is a Level 1 monster.
"What? Are you mocking me? Another monster with zero attack points…" Says Crow.
Jester Lord's attack points go back down to 0 since Jaeger has another monster on the field.
"And by bringing that out, Jester Lord's effect is negated, and its attack points revert back to zero." Crow says. "Is he aiming for another combo?" Crow thinks to himself.
"I set one card and end my turn." Says Jaeger.
"What are you planning? You're so sly." Crow says.
"I can say the same about you." Says Jaeger. He snaps the little holoscreen out of his sleeve again. "But, I can figure out what you're planning. Hmhmhmhmhmhmhm!" Jaeger says.
"Here I go! My turn!" Says Crow. He draws.
"At this moment, I activate the Continuous Trap 'Late Penalty'! If you have no monsters during your Standby Phase, your Battle Phase is skipped." Jaeger says.
"You didn't let me attack last turn either! That's dirty!" Says Crow.
"What kind of dance will you show me? Ahahahahahahaha!" Jaeger says. The two jesters join in laughing with him.
"I'm not going to dance for you!" Says Crow.
Jaeger's screen shows the image of a trap card. "Hmmm. 'Fake Feather'… By sending a Blackwing monster in your hand to the graveyard, you can activate a trap card in your opponent's graveyard. If he currently has this trap in his hand, that will be bad for me." Jaeger thinks to himself.
"Even if I can't attack, my pride as a duelist won't let me end my turn without summoning a monster! I Special Summon Blackwing-Sirocco the Dawn!" Crow says.
Blackwing-Sirocco the Dawn has 2000 attack points and is a Level 5 monster.
"Hmph. The fact that he brought out a Blackwing from his hand means…" Jaeger thinks to himself.
"When monsters are only on the opponent's field, I can summon this without releasing other monsters! Then I set one card." Says Crow.
"Are you ending your turn?" Jaeger asks, sarcastically.
"Not yet! I activate the Quick-Play Spell 'Reload'! I add my hand to my deck and shuffle. Then I draw the same number of cards!" Says Crow.
"That's an all-or-nothing approach. How boring. That's not what a clown should do." Jaeger says.
"Shut up! I'm not a clown!" Says Crow.
Pause.
Crow smiles a little.
Jaeger's watching.
"I also set this and end my turn! Now bring it! If you can figure out this strategy, I'll dance naked for you! Hahahahaha!" Crow says.
"It seems you now have the card that you wanted. In that case…" Jaeger thinks to himself. "I use Jester Confit's monster effect!" Says Jaeger.
"What?" Crow asks.
"During your End Phase, Jester Confit and one of your monsters return to our hands." Says Jaeger.
"What? How horrible! I just Special Summoned Sirocco the Dawn, and it already returns to my hand! Wait! This means, Jester Lord is the only monster on the field. Therefore…" Crow says, overdramatically.
"That's right. Jester Lord's monster effect is back. Including the cards you just set, there's a total of five spell and trap cards. That means Jester Lord's attack points equal one thousand points multiplied by five!" Says Jaeger. That is, 5000.
"Aaagh! Oh my god! How horrible! I'm dancing right into that clown's hands!" Crow says, still faking.
"I'll now have you exit the stage. I draw." Says Jaeger.
"Taka, Blitz, Nerve, Rally, kids, I'm sorry!" Crow says, still babbling hysterically.
"Do you really think that I'll let my guard down and attack if you pretend to look frustrated? I won't be fooled. I know the key to your victory is hidden in those two set cards." Says Jaeger.
Crow stops babbling, but doesn't look up.
"You mocked Security in dozens of duels. All that data has been inputted into this." Jaeger says. "I have to be careful of 'Fake Feather'. Sirocco the Dawn just returned to this hand." Jaeger thinks to himself.
Flashback. Crow summons Sirocco the Dawn. "If he had 'Fake Feather' in his hand, he would have kept Sirocco the Dawn in his hand instead of Special Summoning it. Therefore, the first card he set wasn't 'Fake Feather'." Jaeger thinks to himself, in voice-over. Crow then plays 'Reload'. "In that case, I have to pay attention to the card he drew using 'Reload'… his second set card." Jaeger thinks to himself, in voice-over. The flashback ends.
Back to the present. "I activate 'Card of Distrain' from my hand! When you have two or more set cards on your field, one of them cannot be activated this turn. I select your second set card!" Says Jaeger. His spell card fires a beam and freezes the second face down Crow played. "The exciting show comes to an end. Jester Lord, close the curtains by attacking him directly!" Jaeger says.
Crow's still looking down with his head in his hands, then he looks up, fierce as ever. "Hm! I activate the trap 'Fake Feather'!" Says Crow.
"What?" Jaeger asks.
"By sending a Blackwing from my hand to the graveyard, I can activate one trap in your graveyard! I can do this because you returned Sirocco the Dawn back to my hand!" Says Crow. He discards Sirocco. "I select 'Imperial Manners' that's in your graveyard!" Crow says.
"Nnngh!" Says Jaeger.
"With 'Imperial Manners', when your monster attacks when there are no monsters on my field, all your monsters are destroyed!" Crow says.
'Imperial Manners' destroys Jester Lord.
"Rrrgh!" Jaeger growls under his breath.
"Never underestimate my animal-like instincts! It's a thousand times better than your weak data!" Says Crow.
Jester Confit appears on the field.
"The moment you Special Summoned Jester Confit, I knew what your strategy was!" Crow says.
"You pretended to dance into my hands in order to trick me?" Asks Jaeger.
"Now, what kind of dance will you show me?" Crow asks.
"Interesting. I didn't know a duelist like you existed among the Satellite sewer rats." Says Jaeger.
"Sewer rats and crows are much tougher than the weak pets in the City." Crow says.
"I'm impressed that you're proud to be a sewer rat. However, 'Card of Distrain' has another effect. If a card other than the one I selected activates, you take eight hundred points of damage! Ahahahahahaha!" Says Jaeger.
"No way! Aaaa-aaa-agh-agh! You must be kidding!" Crow says. His life points get zapped down to 1200.
"I Special Summon Jester Confit again. Hah!" Says Jaeger.
Jester Confit appears on the field, 0 attack points and is a Level 1 monster.
"It's back again." Crow says.
"When Jester Confit is Special Summoned, your monster and it both return to our hands during your End Phase. Next, I activate the Equip Spell 'Spirit Burner'. This card switches the equipped monster to defense position." Says Jaeger. Jester Confit has 0 defense points. "When the equipped monsters return to my hand, you take six hundred points of damage. I end my turn. How's that? If you have no monsters on your field, I can prevent you from attacking by using 'Late Penalty'. Even if you summon a monster, Jester Confit will return it to your hand. No matter what you try, you're going to keep dancing on the field." Jaeger says.
"Do you really think so? You're sharp. This set card really is my secret plan for victory! Now let's have fun! My turn!" Says Crow. He draws, it's Blackwing-Blizzard the Far North. "I activate my trap! 'Trap Stun'! The effects of all traps other than this one are negated this turn!" Crow says.
All three of Jaeger's continuous traps crust over with stone. "What? Ah! Ah!" Says Jaeger.
"Your three Continuous Traps have been sealed! In other words, I can Synchro Summon, and my monsters can attack! I summon Blackwing-Blizzard the Far North!" Crow says.
Blackwing-Blizzard the Far North is a relatively small white bird, graceful, but cartoony. Blackwing-Blizzard the Far North has 1300 attack points and is Level 2 monster. "When it's successfully summoned, I can Special Summon one Level Four-or-below Blackwing from my graveyard in defense position!" Says Crow. He raises his duel disk, like an arm for a hawk to land on, and Blizzard perches on it. Blizzard pecks at the graveyard slot. "Come, Blackwing-Bora the Spear!" Crow says.
Blackwing-Bora the Spear has 800 defense points and is a Level 4 monster. "Now here comes today's hero! Blizzard the Far North tunes Bora the Spear! Dark power, infuse the gigantic wings to create a divine wind! Synchro Summon! Rage, Blackwing Armed Wing!" Says Crow.
Blackwing Armed Wing has 2300 attack points and is a Level 6 monster.
"I finally let you Synchro Summon… But that's why I put Jester Confit in defense position, just in case!" Jaeger says.
"Too bad! When Armed Wing attacks a monster in defense position, it gains five hundred attack points and deals piercing damage!" Says Crow. Armed Wing's new attack points total is 2800.
"What?" Jaeger asks.
"Now dance! Armed Wing attacks Jester Confit! Black Charge!" Says Crow.
Armed Wing hits Jester with a barrage of blasts, then turns its gun around to use the other end to slash at Jaeger, whose life points drop from 4000 to 1200. "Awaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
"Now our life points are equal." Crow says.
"How interesting." Says Jaeger. He's now getting freaky and a little deranged. "It's time to see who's the real clown!" Jaeger says.
The ground just shook. It keeps rumbling.
"What? An earthquake?" Asks Crow.
"This is bad! Has it started already?" Jaeger asks.
Outside, the whole landscape is shaking back and forth.
In the crater at the heart of the Satellite, a multitude of purple lights can be seen. They dim, then explode with light, shooting a column of purple energy into the sky, which then widens.
In the warehouse, Crow and Jaeger see the purple light outside, harshly silhouetting everything else.
"What? What's going on?" Asks Crow.
"Oh no! I didn't expect it to start this early!" Jaeger says. He pulls out his deck and puts it in a pocket, takes off his duel disk and sets it on the ground. Jaeger runs for the door.
"Wait up! We're in the middle of a duel!" Says Crow.
"This isn't the time for that! I have to escape as fast as possible!" Jaeger says.
Crow runs after him, the discarded duel disk bumping along the ground behind him, still connected to his by grapple. "Stop messing around! You're a punk if you throw away your life as a duelist and run away!" Says Crow. He finally unhooks the grapple attached to his duel disk and throws it.
Which ends up hitting Jaeger in the back of the head. "My actual life is more important right now!" Jaeger says. He raises a hand and a yellow thing extends from his sleeve.
Crow stops and stares.
As the balloon Jaeger had concealed up his sleeve inflates, flying him away. "If you also want to live, then run away! But it might already be too late!" Says Jaeger.
"You should at least say that we'll continue this battle later! Huh?" Crow asks.
The ground is shaking again, and a blackish fog is spreading from the crater, enveloping the warehouse and heading for him. "What?" Asks Crow. He runs and jumps onto his D-Wheel, snapping his duel disk into place. Dust explodes from beneath his wheels, and Crow takes off, the fog not far behind. He glances back over his shoulder. "Damn! What is that?" Crow asks.
The fog is spreading over the Satellite at a rapid speed, to a street full of people. One bystander notices. "What's that?" They all look up, as the fog blocks out the sun.
Crow's still riding, the fog hot on his heels and gaining. "Damn! I refuse to die! I won't die in a place like this!" Says Crow.
The Satellite is silent, smothered in black fog. A few random papers blow across the street.
On the ground somewhere lies an arrangement of dueling cards, two people were table-dueling there and their cards lie abandoned along with their calculator, as does one duelist's full mug. It's as though they simply vanished.
Elsewhere, a tap has been left on full-blast, as though the person who was using it was no longer there to turn it off.
The dash of Crow's D-Wheel lies sideways on the ground, as though the person riding it a moment before disappeared off the face of the earth.
"I'll put it up on the monitor." Minako says, insistently. A screen shows the black fog, its edges perfectly round as though an invisible bowl over the Satellite contains it from spreading further. Jack, who's holding Jace in one of his arms, Sakura, with Grim sitting beside her, Yusei, Aki, Velvet, Subaru, Lua and Luca are standing with Minako, and gasp. They also have camera feeds from a few Satellite streets, all showing nobody there. "This is…" Says Aki. "This is Satellite?" Luca asks. "Is it always this foggy?" Asks Lua. "No, it shouldn't be." Yusei says. "What happened?" Asks Jack. "We don't know the details, but an unexpected incident occurred at the innermost section of Satellite." Minako says. "The innermost section?" Asks Sakura. "We've lost communication with Satellite's Security. We also don't know how long this video feed will last." Minako says. As if on cue, the screens all show static. "I can't stay here and waste my time! I'm flying to Satellite immediately! Ready the helicopter!" Says Jack. "Right!" Minako says. Sakura is still watching the staticky screens, resolutely. "Hotaru, Crow…" Sakura thinks to herself. Grim looks up at her, sensing her determination.
Outside Security HQ in Domino, an angry crowd has formed. "Tell us what's going on!" "What's with that fire geoglyph?" "What's happening?" An officer with a megaphone tries to keep order. "Director Godwin will soon make an official statement! So disperse for now!" "When is he going to make his announcement?" "More and more people are disappearing into the geoglyph!" "Aren't you going to protect us?" "Just disperse for now! Or else, we'll arrest you for rioting!" The crowd only gets angrier with that, shaking their fists and shouting. "That's ridiculous!"
Angela is standing at the back of the crowd, reporting for the evening news. "I'm in front of the Public Maintenance Department. With no clear details on the unexpected events, the citizens' frustration towards the authorities have reached a breaking point…" Says Angela. Someone from the crowd shouts at her camera, another grabs her mic and joins in. "Hey Godwin, come out!" "Tell us what's happening!" "What are you doing? Don't take the microphone!" Angela says. She keeps protesting, but they don't hear because more angry citizens are mobbing the camera, determined to be heard. "We know you're watching, punk!" "Come out, Godwin!"
Angela barely escapes, crawling through the forest of legs. As she does, her cell phone rings, and she answers it. "Director! Are you watching the TV?" Asks Angela.
On the other side of the conversation in Godwin's office, he's watching the angry crowd on a screen. "Please give me some information!" Angela says, via-phone. "Please have the media tell the citizens to calm down." Says Godwin. "In their current state, I don't think they'll calm down!" Angela says, via-phone. "The reason why I've made myself available to you is for times like this. I'm counting on you, Angela." Says Godwin. "You made yourself available? You haven't given me any good scoops lately!" Angela says, via-phone. Godwin hangs up on her and takes a call next from Minako. "Pardon me, Director." Says Minako, via-phone. "I already know." Godwin says. "Huh?" Asks Minako, via-phone. "Please tell the Signers to get ready to leave immediately." Godwin says. "Understood." Says Minako, via-phone. The call ends. Godwin takes off his left glove and looks at his metal hand.
The young girl soon walks up to him, standing at his shoulder. "You summoned for me?" "Yes. It's time." Godwin says.
"Father."
Godwin looks up.
Standing before him, is a young woman, with a fair complexion, long, reddish-orange hair, which is tied into a pair of loops in the back and styled with hair ornaments that have four, peach-colored osmanthus blossoms dangling from them, while two large, knee-length strands run down in front of her, giving it a slight odango/twin tails style to it, short bangs and burnt sienna eyes. Her makeup consists of reddish-orange lipstick and dark red eye shadow. She's wearing a deep red, long-sleeved, corporate jacket, with black trim, a white, long-sleeved collar shirt, adorned with a small light blue bow on the front, a deep red, high-waist corporate skirt and black heels. She is twenty-two, 5'6", 114 lbs, with a 29.9" bust, a 21.6" waist and 31.1" hips.
"Hello, Kakyuu." Says Godwin.
Kakyuu bows to him, in respect. "Apologizes, I hope I'm not interrupting you from something important." Kakyuu says. She straightens herself and looks over at the young girl. "Oh, hello, sister." Says Kakyuu.
The young girl simply nods, in response. "No apology necessary. Seeing you, always brings me great joy. How is your mother? Fairing well, I hope." Godwin says. He gestures towards a chair.
"She's well. She sends her regards." Says Kakyuu. She sits down in the chair Godwin gestured towards.
"You remind me of her, you grow to look like her more each time I see you. And yes, I know I've never been the best father to you. But just know, you're always on my mind and I do love you. I only wish I could've spent more time with you as you were growing up." Says Godwin.
"I must ask, why have you summoned for me? I haven't seen or heard from you in over two years and you just suddenly decided to ask me to come here. Is something wrong, Father? Are you ill?" Kakyuu asks.
"No, nothing like that. Actually, I have some news to share with you." Says Godwin. He stands up from his seat. "I admit, I have been keeping you in the dark these past two years for a reason. Tell me, did you watch the Fortune Cup by chance?" Asks Godwin. He has walked up to stand before Kakyuu. "You know I don't fancy much in dueling. But, I do consider myself pretty knowledgeable of the well-known and popular duelists of late. I heard Jack Atlas finally lost his title as King to an up and coming Satellite duelist called Yusei Fudo." Kakyuu says. "Yes, that's correct. And what of the Princess of Darkness?" Asks Godwin. "The woman duelist who has remained undefeated since she started her dueling career? Yes, I have heard of her. What about her?" Kakyuu asks. "Well, her real name is Sakura Kuraitaiyou. And she happens to be your cousin, Kakyuu." Says Godwin. "My cousin? You never mentioned your family before, Father." Kakyuu says. "She's long-lost. Of course, I've never revealed our relation to her as of yet. She'll find out, sooner or later." Says Godwin. "So, what does this have to do with me?" Kakyuu says. "I figured I should tell you, in case something were to happen to me. Of course, since you're my one and only legitimate child, you would have a clean shot for the seat as director of the Public Maintenance Department. That's why I summoned you here tonight, just to assure you of this." Says Godwin. "I see. And what of her?" Kakyuu asks, gesturing towards the young girl. "She may be my daughter, too. But she's an illegitimate child, with her mother's surname. However, if anything should happen to me, she'll serve under you." Says Godwin. "Father, she's not a servant. Despite us being only half, she's still my little sister. And if she ends up in my care, she'll be treated as such." Kakyuu says. "Your choice is your own. Are you prepared to fulfill your role as the next director after I step down?" Asks Godwin. Kakyuu stands up, facing him. "Of course. So, this cousin of mine, is there something I should know about her? When can I meet her?" Kakyuu asks. "Actually, I'm on my way to meet with her and a few others. Why don't you accompany me." Says Godwin. "Very well." Kakyuu says. "However, there are some thing's that I must inform you with. I'll explain everything to you on the way." Says Godwin. Kakyuu nods, in acknowledgment.
At a helicopter pad in Neo Domino City, shortly before dawn. Minako, Jack, holding a sleepy Jace in one of his arms, Aki, Yusei, Sakura, with Grim standing between the two half-twins, Lua, Luca, Velvet, Subaru and Godwin stand ready, the helicopter has not appeared yet. "It's almost time." Luca says. "Yeah." Says Lua, nervously. "Master Atlas…" Minako says. "What is it?" Asks Jack. "Master Atlas, why are you going to Satellite?" Minako asks. "You know that there's something I need to do." Says Jack.
Flashback. Minako notices Jack holding Carly's shattered glasses, their rims sparkling in the sunset. The flashback ends.
Back to the present. "Is that as a Signer? Or as a…" Minako thinks to herself. She remains silent, miserable. "The fog that's covering Satellite seems to be coming from the location of the previous Moment." Says Godwin. "Previous Moment?" Aki asks. "What's that?" Asks Lua. "Destiny is guiding the son of Professor Hakase Fudo, the creator of the previous Moment." Godwin says. "The creator's son?" Asks Aki. "Yusei?" Luca asks. "What do you mean?" Asks Lua. Yusei looks straight ahead, expression closed, but troubled. Sakura places one of her hands on his shoulder, knowing him better than anyone else. "The gears of fate have begun to turn. Your mission is to defeat the Dark Signers and make the previous Moment rotate in the proper direction." Godwin says. "Wait, if Yusei's dad was the one who built it, then where does Sakura's dad come in?" Asks Lua. "Sakura's father helped with Moment, her father worked for Yusei's father." Godwin says. "So, Yusei's dad was the boss of Sakura's dad? Then, what was their mom?" Asks Lua. "She was a part-time model turned congresswoman, who highly praised the previous Moment. But, when she became pregnant with Sakura and Yusei, she had no idea who the father of her unborn babies was. However, since she knew who the only two possibilities were, neither professor's wanted her working while pregnant since they both cared for her. She didn't want to do a paternity test while she was pregnant. So, after she delivered both Sakura and Yusei, they did the paternity test on them. When they got the paternity results back, the doctors discovered something that is known to be very unheard of, not to mention almost impossible. That Sakura and Yusei are half-siblings, as well as fraternal twins." Godwin says. "So, Sakura and Yusei are half-twins? That's so impossible, but it actually makes sense. Considering Sakura and Yusei were born from the same mother, they don't look any thing alike, and they're the same age as each other." Says Luca. "Enlighten me, Godwin. How is it that you know so much about Yusei and myself?" Sakura asks. She glances over at Godwin. "Surely, it is no coincidence." Says Sakura.
"Perhaps, I can enlighten you." Kakyuu says. She walks up, the young girl following at her heels.
Sakura's eyes widen, in shock but also anger, as well.
Kakyuu stops when she reaches Godwin. "Pleasure to meet you all. You especially, Sakura." Says Kakyuu.
Sakura meets her gaze, which is heated, dark-crimson red meeting burnt sienna. She steps up to stand opposite of Kakyuu. Sakura then turns her gaze to the young girl, which causes her eyes to soften, slightly.
The young girl looks up and meets her gaze, blue meeting dark-crimson red. Her facial expression lightens up a bit seeing Sakura. "Sakura..."
"Usagi..." Sakura says. A shining light appears at the center of her forehead and as the light disappears, the silver sun emblem and the red, diamond-shaped gem embedded in the center of it, are left behind. The red, diamond-shaped gem appears at the center of Grim's head, too.
A similar light appears at the center of Kakyuu's forehead and as the light disappears, a peach-colored osmanthus blossom emblem is left behind.
The shining light appears at the center of Usagi's forehead, as well, and as the light disappears, a golden crescent moon emblem is left behind.
A sudden spiral of black light appears and obscures both Sakura and Grim from view.
A spiral of red light appears and obscures Kakyuu from view.
And a spiral of white light appears and obscures Usagi from view.
The other Signers, the kids, Minako and Godwin all watch and wait.
As the trio spirals of light dissipate, Sakura's appearance changes to that of Princess Galaxia, while different versions of Kakyuu and Usagi are revealed, the hairstyles of both staying the same, and the former's makeup also remains.
Kakyuu's wearing a deep red, off-the-shoulder dress, with a trio of light blue, upside-down triangles covering over her bust, a wide, white line going down her abdomen and orange down the back and sides in the bodice, a black trim wraps around the top of her bodice and sleeves, and a second black trim wraps around the bottom of her bodice at her waist, deep red, puffy, short sleeves, with translucent, loose yellow sleeves that run past her hands, becoming wider toward the end, with a black trim at the ends, a puffy skirt, underneath a translucent, floor-sweeping skirt, which has several, knee-high splits. She also wears a black fengguan/crown, which is trimmed with gold and decorated with peach-colored osmanthus blossoms at the sides and light green and deep red jewels at the center, a light blue ribbon around her neck, that is tied into a blossom in the center, with a peach-colored osmanthus blossom in the center of it, and black flats, which curl into a point at the tips.
Usagi's wearing a white, strapless, flowing gown, with white, shell-like, shoulder pieces, disconnected from her dress, an intricately decorated bodice with gold hoops, with the bust defined by a row of golden beads. Trailing at the back, is a white, gauzy bow, with long, fluttery ribbons. She also wears golden, spiral earrings, a golden, beaded bracelet on her right wrist, and a pair of white heels.
Kakyuu's hands and arms are positioned in front of herself, her fingers laced together, giving herself an innocent appearance, and opens her eyes, preparing to meet the fierce eyes of Princess Galaxia.
As if on cue, she opens her now slightly slanted red eyes, meeting the calm eyes of Princess Kakyuu.
"Galaxia. The Princess of the Sun and the Galaxy." Princess Kakyuu says.
Princess Galaxia folds her arms across her chest. "Kakyuu. The Princess of Kinmoku. A planet that no longer exists." Says Princess Galaxia. She then turns her attention to the new form of Usagi. "And Serenity. The Princess of the Moon." Princess Galaxia says.
Princess Serenity looks up at her, tears filling up at the edges of her eyes. "Galaxia..." Says Princess Serenity. She lifts up her gown and runs over to Princess Galaxia, falls to her knees and embraces her around her waist, crying into her dress. "Serenity..." Princess Galaxia says. She just wraps her arms around Princess Serenity, slightly.
Grim steps up to stand alongside Princess Galaxia and Princess Serenity.
"Oh, hello to you, as well. I see you still have your familiar with you." Says Princess Kakyuu.
Grim growls, slightly. Princess Galaxia helps Princess Serenity up to her feet and wraps one of her wings around her, giving her a sense of security, as she brings her attention back to Princess Kakyuu. "This shouldn't surprise you, Kakyuu. You waking up with your memories still intact is more of a stretch." Princess Galaxia says.
"Sorry to disappoint you, Galaxia. Yes, like you I was fortunate enough to be reborn in this life with my memories of the past still intact. And this time, completely human." Says Princess Kakyuu.
"Yes, you were one of the only ones who was reborn as what you previously were in your original life. You and your Guardians." Princess Galaxia says.
Princess Kakyuu sighs, lightly. "Still angry with me, I see. Why? We ended up on good terms later on during our second lives, did we not?" Asks Princess Kakyuu.
"A peace treaty may have been signed between you, Serenity and I after the Sailor Wars ended. However, that does not mean I have completely forgiven you, Kakyuu." Princess Galaxia says.
"I see. You died with hatred in your heart towards me the first time. And you still had it during your second life. And you still carry it in you now." Says Princess Kakyuu.
"I don't hate you, Kakyuu. I never did. However, my anger towards you shall not be persuaded so easily." Princess Galaxia says.
Godwin steps up between these two Princesses of the distant past. "Now that you three have finally met after being apart for a lifetime. You three clearly came from the same timeline and have some history." Says Godwin.
The sun emblem and gem on Princess Galaxia's forehead start glowing and the beam of black light obscures her and Grim once again.
The crescent moon emblem on Princess Serenity's forehead starts glowing and the beam of white light obscures her, too.
The osmanthus blossom emblem on Princess Kakyuu's forehead starts glowing and the beam of red light obscures her, as well.
This time when the trio lights diminish, Sakura, Usagi and Kakyuu are back to their normal everyday appearance and clothed in their usual attire, their respective emblems vanishing from their foreheads. The gem embedded into Grim's head vanishes, too.
"How did you even find Kakyuu and Usagi in the first place, Godwin?" Sakura asks.
"He's our father. I was reborn into this life as Kakyuu Godwin." She points towards Usagi, who is hiding halfway behind Sakura. "Her, on the other hand, has her mother's surname, Tsukino. She and I are half-sisters." Says Kakyuu.
"Oh, wonderful. And I thought things couldn't get any better." Sakura says, sarcastically.
The helicopter is approaching. It lands, and Ushio leaps out, saluting. "Officer Ushio has arrived!"
"Thank you." Says Godwin. It's Ushio, of course Yusei's going to bait him. "Oh, it's you." Yusei says.
"What do you mean by that? The Director personally ordered me to take you to that garbage dump!" Says Ushio.
Minako steps forward, at her sweetest. "Are you coming with us?" Minako asks, sweetly. Ushio springs to a salute. "Yes! I'm glad I can help you, Minako." Says Ushio. "It's too early in the day to have such a tough job, Officer Ushio." Minako says. Ushio blushes. "It's nothing." Says Ushio. Minako then turns to everyone. "Everyone, please come this way." Minako says.
"Let's go." Says Aki. "Yeah!" Both Lua and Luca say. "Wait." Says Yusei. "Huh?" The other Signers and Lua ask. "What's wrong, Uncle Yusei?" Asks Subaru. "Godwin, I want you to promise one thing." Yusei says. "What is it?" Asks Godwin. "If we defeat the Dark Signers and return everything to normal, you have to promise that you'll connect the Daedalus Bridge with the City." Yusei says. Aki and Sakura gasp, Lua and Luca look nervous. Jack frowns. "Daedalus Bridge…" Jack thinks to himself. "Daedalus Bridge connects Satellite and the City. Are you emulating the legendary man who fought to connect that bridge?" Asks Godwin. "If your story is true, there will no longer be a reason to discriminate against Satellite." Yusei says. Godwin nods. "Fine. I promise." Says Godwin. Yusei nods, the bargain is sealed.
Just then, the sun clears the horizon, lighting his face with sunlight. Without another look back, Yusei walks toward the helicopter.
Subaru, Lua and Jack, holding a sleeping Jace in one of his arms, follow suit.
Then Velvet, Luca, Aki and Sakura, with Grim keeping pace alongside her.
"I promise to make Satellite and the City into one. Even if it costs me my life." Yusei thinks to himself.
"Father, with your permission, I would like to accompany them." Kakyuu says. "Are you sure? Your safety isn't guaranteed." Says Godwin. "I have spent my entire life hidden under your shadow. In order to fully understand what it means to be the director of the Public Maintenance Department, I must see for myself what lies on that island. And I want her to accompany me, as well." Kakyuu says. "Very well, Kakyuu." Says Godwin. Kakyuu smiles and pecks her father on the cheek. "Thank you, Father." Kakyuu says. She takes a hold of Usagi's hand. "Come on." Says Kakyuu. Usagi, uncertain, looks up at Godwin. "It's fine." Godwin says. Kakyuu leads Usagi away, as they walk off towards the helicopter.
The helicopter soon lifts off.
Godwin watches it go, hair blowing in the breeze.
As the sun rises, the helicopter flies over Domino. On the port side, Usagi sits next to Kakyuu, who sits next to Aki, who sits to Minako's left and Jack to her right, who has Jace nuzzled up into his chest, asleep. Across from them on the starboard side, Yusei's across from Aki, Lua next to him, Luca next to him, Velvet next to her, Subaru next to her, all four have their shoes off so they can sit up on their knees and ogle out the window at the landscape below, and Sakura is across from Jack, with Grim, who's taking up quite a bit of room on the seat, as he lies down beside her. Yusei looks out the window, as they fly over the pier.
Himuro, Yanagi and Tempei are standing there waving at them. "Lua! Luca!" Says Tempei. "Sonny! Luca! Lua!" Yanagi says.
"Hah! Tempei!" Says Lua. "Himuro! Grandpa!" Luca says.
"Do your best!" Says Tempei. "Come back safely!" Yanagi says. "Don't die, Yusei!" Says Himuro.
"Thanks, everyone!" Lua says. "We're going!" Says Luca. Yusei clenches a fist in his lap. "I must win this fight for everyone!" Yusei thinks to himself.
Himuro, Yanagi and Tempei watch them fly away toward the domed cloud that is the Satellite.
