AN: Merlin's POV
Dr. Guaian lead us down stairs to the device that started all this. "We've made some recalibrations to make it more precise," He explained, "You should land right back where you departed from."
We walked into a large chamber with mottled gray walls. in the center of this chamber was a circle of wire sourounded by panels placed all over the area.
"About time you two got here," Arthur, who was already in the circle, said, "You two really couldn't kiss after we get back?"
"Ha, ha, very funny," Primrose said flatly.
We walked into the circle. Suddenly there was a thin screeching sound, and the wires started lighting up. Beside me, Primrose took a deep breath. "Here we go."
"Here we go," I repeated, squeezing her hand and looking over at her. I still didn't know how I got so lucky. I didn't how I got this brilliant, beautiful woman to come with me, to be my wife. I still don't.
Suddenly there was a bright flash of light, identical to the one that day on the hill that seemed forever ago, and them everything went black.
The next thing I was aware of was someone shaking me and Primrose saying, "Merle, Merle, you need to wake up now, honey."
My eyes flickered opened and I saw Primrose standing over me, looking concerned.
I got up slowly, practically every bone in my body aching.
"You alright?" Primrose asked, following my path with her eyes.
"Yeah," I replied, looking around for Arthur. He was just a few feet away from still unconscious. I shook him awake. "Did we make it?" He asked.
"Yeah," I said grinning and looking at the hill, "Yeah, I think we made it. We're back on the hill."
Arthur sat up, and looked around, groaning. "Where are the horses?"
