Hey everyone, time for a new update. I'm back to my regular friday updates now after I was gone last week and had to update on sunday. So I guess that means TWO updates in one week. But I will return to my normal friday updates. So anyway, let's get back to the story, thanks to Skales, Jay now knows the true killer to his uncle is and is gonna hunt for him. How will this bold well for our lightning ninja?

Chapter 19: Good Riddance

Night draped across Ninjago City as Jay gazed out the only window in the shared bunkroom with his brothers. He was donned into his Spiderman suit with his mask resting on the crown of his forehead and turned to hear the slumbers of his friends as they slept in their bunks. Cole and Kai's slumbering snores echoed through one side of the room compared to Zane, Lucas, and Lloyd's silent snoring to not bother with the earth and fire ninja's sleeping habits. To Jay, he found it peaceful really as he gotten used to it to smile a bit. Course he was still pestered when they questioned him over dinner about the museum. Past is the past, they'll move on with it.

The lightning ninja's spider senses and ears perked as he heard approaching footsteps and the door quietly squeaking open as Jay 2 slowly tiptoed in. The nindroid carefully shifted his weight on each step to meet with the real Jay. He wore a mask of utter confusion and uncertainty as he stared at Spiderman. "I hope whatever it is that you're doing," he whispered to him. "I wish you the best of luck."

The auburn haired teen softly smiled to his clone for the luck. He was going to need it against Electro. What were the outcomes of him not making it back alive? But still, he had innocent blood on his hands as Skales said it and the true killer was still at large to him. And he intended to stop him. No matters the costs. "Don't worry." he replied while slipping his mask down over his face. "I'm Spiderman after all." He slid the window open and climbed out of the ship to begin to transverse up on the building behind the ship with the window closed behind him. It was time to hunt.

The air felt cold to Jay as he swung through the night in Ninjago City. He knew he should've least put on some warmer layers before putting his suit on, but it would've made him look bulky. But it didn't matter right now. All on his mind was to hunt down Electro and thanks to the Hypnobrai General, he had a location. Hidden deep within the subway tunnels. And he knew where to start first. Between Downtown and Upper Ninjago City. Where the above ground subway tunnels merge to the tunnels underneath the ground.

The city sounded quiet to the blue ninja as he swung closer to his destination. Probably because of the events from the night before had frightened people to where they stay home until Spiderman had taken care of the villain. And it'll happen tonight. The crossway subway tracks of Downtown and Upper Ninjago City were within his view to have himself pull on his web to launch himself far to land between the tracks in a crouch. And two subway tracks passed between him to have a small surge of adrenaline pass him to calm down as it was over. "Okay...step one, look out for these guys." he noted himself. "Step two, where are you?"

That was a problem though. The subways ran miles and miles of tracks in the darkness underground. His target could be anywhere and it would take him forever to find him. He doesn't have the time and patience for it. The lightning ninja slowly trekked into the darkness, thankful the lens of his mask were transitional lens to polarize in sunlight and return to nomral in dark, which meant better observation in the dark. But he now had to ponder on where he could find him. Generators? Control rooms? All seemed easy to him though. He had to be hidden deeper and farther, but still supplementing himself with electricity. And the subway tracks will provide him that. But where could he be?

As the teen in the red and blue spandex suit gazed around the darkness while being careful avoiding trains via by climbing on the ceilings, he felt his spider senses buzzing to make him stop and drop to the floor. His eyes scanned around and his senses grew as he stared at a large grate in the cement wall. He laid a hand on the grate to concentrate to immediately snap open to what he felt. "There you are." he grumbled and wrapped his fingers through the slits. He grunt and strained as he pulled with all of his enhanced strength to hear rubble moved and crumbled and created an elongating crack around the grate until he wretched it free to create a large crater and set it aside. He was breathing heavily after he done that as it felt heavy as a car for him to carry. But yet a car was heavier than a grate like that imbedded in the cement. He shook it off it was probably nothing like if he was losing strength all of a sudden and climbed through the gap in the wall to continue his search. He was near now.

Energy swam through his body as he absorbed the satisfying current through his hands from gripping on the rails. His eyes were closed in concentration as if he was mediating as he gradually drank up the electricity. It was satisfying, delicious to him than he could imagine as he knew he had control of his new body. He had to thank the Electro Cobrai for changing him into the man he is now as Electro. He was always a nobody back then, but he saw himself as a new face for Ninjago City to be afraid to. A man who will put the city back into the darkness for the stealing of electricity from the power grid he designed out in the Ninjago River. And once he could have his hands on it once in full strength, he'll have control on everything.

As he drank of his thirst of power, he felt the current give a small hiccup to have him open his translucent eyes open puzzled. He had felt hiccups before when subway trains pass to covert electricity from the tracks to power themselves. But this felt odd and short. Like if someone else was here with him. To be sure, the electric blue skinned man pulled himself to his feet and slowly ventured into the darkness of the giant underground labyrinth.

Footsteps echoed in the darkness along with the sound of droplets of water cascading down the leaky water pipes into puddles. Electro's electric translucent eyes scanned the area carefully while watching currents of power conduct through the railings and power cables around him. His body glowed brightly underneath his clothes to illuminate his path, but it made him stick out like a sore thumb to whoever was in the tunnel with him. But what he recently felt made him turn on his heels to see Spiderman perched onto a vaulted archway glaring at him from his mask. How had he found?

Jay glared down at the electric man to feel his heart pounding rapidly as the thunderstorm brewed. Below him was his uncle's killer as he stood frigid to his presence. Surprised to see him he bet. Oh he probably was as he tensed his muscle to attack him as soon as he can. Had to avenge for his uncle's death on the real murderer. "Remember Ben Walker!?" he cried to him in high anger. "The man you electrocuted and killed in cold blood!?"

Electro glared at the famed superhero as he dug his nails into his palms. How did he know of that night when he never came? He didn't know the whole truth of it so why would it matter to him? He saw him as a freak in a costume to know about that night. What was he so tense and filled with venom about then? "Yeah!" he hissed in malice. "What's it to you though!? You never knew him anyway!"

The words rang in Jay's head to feel the thunderstorm in his chest evolve into an enrage lightning storm to snarl through his teeth like a wild animal underneath his mask. Of course he knew him. It was his uncle! The lightning ninja felt the stone walls rumbling around to sense for a subway train was speeding behind him to quickly leap across the ceiling as the train came. "Everything!" he shouted in hatred and fired both wrists to stick his webs onto the passing train to feel his momentum tug him and barrel for Electro by surprise. And before he could have time to react, Jay landed a powerful kick to his chest before he could get shocked.

Adrenaline pulsed into the man's veins as he staggered back from the strike. But for being in an enclosed area, his body harshly bumped into the passing train to jerk his body to the other side to collide with another train passing by to cause him to start losing balance. And as he fell forward, he was greeted with the mask hero's fist colliding with his face to have him thrown off his feet and flew out of the tunnel to land on the bridge crossing over other bridges and a large storm drain for the city. He groaned to pull himself up, but his head snapped to the shout of Spiderman leaping for him. And with a quick reaction, he shouted to fire his electricity toward him in rage.

Jay watched the scattered bolts darting for him to think twice on his tactics to fire a web to pull himself away and twisted his body to avoid the bolt skimming his stomach to tickle him a little. Too close to his taste. But who cared for close calls, not him. Luckily for the blue ninja for being in such a large environment now, it allowed him to swing around Electro to avoid his attacks with ease and plan around to use the environment as weapon against him. As he swung away to dodge and twist his body from the oncoming attacks, he spotted a loose block of stone embedded into the wall to latch a thread onto it and wretched it free to swing it over his head and threw it like a stone in the sling to be used as an old weapon back then to collide against the man.

Electro staggered to the block that crumbled against him and watched Jay land across from him to waver his hands and clapped them to send pulses of energy toward him. He to at least get him stunned just once before delivering all of his energy to kill him. He just needed his chance. But however, Jay quickly dodge the pulses as they were attached to anything metal by jumping up high as he could to attach himself to the ceiling to taunt him. Dillions growled as he wanted him dead. "Why won't you just die!?" he growled and fired a new bolt.

"I can ask you the same thing!" Jay shouted to leap from his spot to avoid the bolt. But the electrical current caused stone blocks to be dislodged from the roof and nearly hitting Jay's head when he sensed them on time. He gazed at the large blocks around him to see them as weapons now to growl. He fired a thread to the first block he saw to swing it over his head. "This is for my uncle!" he shouted and threw it. He grabbed the next one as Electro stumbled and swung the second stone while twisting his body to dodge his shot. "This is for hurting my aunt!" The second block was released and sailed across the bridge to cause the man to lose balance on contact. Jay finally fired both wrists to latch onto the last two blocks and swung them over his head rather quick over his head. "And this is for my-" Before he could finish his ranting, Electro found his balance on one knee to fire an overcharged bolt to hit Spiderman off his feet to slam him against the wall behind him to leave a crater on impact and fell.

Electricity swam through his body painfully in spasms as he fell. He knew he was the Ninja of Lightning and been electrocuted before by his old inventions and his Nunchucks of Lightning but that had hurt like five times worse. Like the other night when his web had channeled the current from Electro to his arm. It definitely was worse than being electrocuted from his own elemental powers.

The lightning ninja finally shook off the feeling as he needed to finish his mission against the electric man. Maybe he had a weakness like all villains do. He just needed to find it. Jay quickly fired a thread to attach himself to the bridge Electro was on to pull himself into a tight ball as he swung underneath him and soon over to surprise Electro as he spun on his feet and sprung his legs onto his chest to push him off and launch him into the stone walls to disperse his electricity upon impact and fell; leaving a large crater than Jay's in his place.

As the man fell, grunts escaped from his throat as he bounced off all other subway bridges underneath the one he was on or pipes that stretched across the large drainage ditch. And before he met the ground, his body slammed against a large pipe that was angled into the ground with water spraying from the ratchets loosen and laid sprawled on the wet ground. He grimaced as he laid in the small puddle to feel his energy slowly depleting suddenly to groggily lift his head and move an arm, but stopped to what was happening. Static sparks of energy burst from his palms and scattered to realize that he couldn't conduct any electricity from his will power. "What has happened to me?" he gasped to pull himself tiredly.

Jay landed in a crouch quietly on the large drain pipe that stood behind Electro to watch in a wondrous look underneath his mask. His head was tilted in curiosity as he noticed small sparks dancing across the man's body to recap from where he had seen that before. And after a quick thought, he remembered now. The other night at Ninjago Square when Jay 2 was talking to him and when he stepped into a puddle to discharge his electricity dance around him to make Lucas throw that icicle. Water was his weakness. Water conducted electricity and it short-circuits anything electrical. "Uh-huh..." he breathed in realization.

The auburn haired teen quickly turned his head to the search for any rushing water to at least subdue the man as he could now avenge his uncle's death. But with the raging storm in his chest against him, he wanted to do far worse to him. The lightning ninja lifted his head to see the broken pipe across from him with rushing water spraying out to realize it was perfect. Just perfect. He shouted in anger to gain Dillions' attention to leap over him and drove his heels into the corner edge of the pipe and grabbed onto the edge where the brackets were connected to pull with all of his strength.

Electro stood petrified to what Spiderman was doing as he pulled on the pipe. He should start running from him, but he felt stuck to begin with. His heart spiked up as he heard a bracket shooting free from its home from the masked man's strength to sense pressure was building was now being built up. More of the round headed screws soon were freed to have the man quicken his breath as more water and pressure were increasing to have him snapped free from his thoughts to turn and run.

With a final tug and with the pressure reaching critically dangerous, Jay quickly leaped away as the large metal pipe burst and broke apart to erupt into a geyser to latch himself to the wall. The rushing water crashed along the stone walls of the large drain to watch it sweep Electro into its current to be submerge. The blue ninja watched the blue-purplish glow scramble under the current until he was stopped by the drain grate and broke the surface to scream in pain. Jay had his arms over his face to shield himself as electricity discharged throughout the large drain like a lightning storm.

Screams from the man filled the area as the water was depleting him of his powers and energy as he knew water was super conductive than metal. How the Electro Cobrai or any other eel now baffled him as they conduct electricity too, but can survive in water. But it didn't matter to him as this was excoriating against him. The man continued to scream while dispersing his remaining energy to break anything in its path, but he soon eased as the water stopped pushing against him and flowing to leave him standing. He was breathing heavily to feel exhausted as he staggered out of the drain to glance over at Spiderman. He mumbled a growl at the hero to tiredly raise his arm to try and fire his electricity but instead fell to the wet ground. His fingers twitched for a second, but stopped.

Silence filled the echoed area, save for the drainage of water and sizzling sound from Electro's body as the glow in his body dimmed. Jay glared at the corpse to have him open his eyes to what he had done. He killed another man all for the revenge of his uncle's death. Sure he was angered by everything when he admitted he killed his uncle, but he didn't mean to let his anger consume him to drive to the point of murder and overkill. How would his aunt, parents, and friend think of him now if he told them his secret of everything? They would be devastated at him for it all. An unhonorable blue ninja, that's who they would see.

The blue ninja turned his head away to sigh as the familiar pain pierced his heart after what he done. Like how he felt before after that robber he accused fell to his death. This was nothing his uncle would wanted him to be. He's been told to take power responsibly, but he had used it darkly. Oh why does being Spiderman have to be hard? What's next, Nya falling to her death if he couldn't reach her on time? That would make his heart tug more to sigh quietly with a few tears slipping from his hazel eyes. "I'm sorry." he said quietly and climbed away.

Ooh so it appears Jay is realizing what being a superhero can make him into someone he didn't want to be. A murderer. The first was an accident to him and the other he realized made him dark. Something he doesn't want to be now more than ever. Why does being Spiderman have to be so hard? We'll have to wait then. So anyway, thank you for reading the new update, leave a review if you wish to, I would like to know what you thought of Jay's actions to this; shout at him if you have to, this may be funny to read in the reviews for all, have a great weekend, and I'll see you next week. Feels great to be back on my weekly updates :D
