AN: Okay, I'm doing a little something different for the epilogue. I'm writing from both Merlin's and Primrose's POVs switching off. Really hope it works.

"One more step," I instructed Prim, and I lead her out into the middle of the field, "There you go."

"Can I open my eyes now?" She asked.

"You sure that would do any good?" I replied. My hands were covering her eyes, so she couldn't see even if they were open.

It had been two months since we returned to my time. Primrose actually adapted pretty quickly. Within a week she was back to hunting. When she killed more than we actually needed, which was becoming more frequent as she became better acquainted with the area, she sold the meat. But still between the two of us we didn't have enough to have an officiated wedding. It's not really that big a deal, I mean, most commoners never have the knot officially tied. As long as their Gods recognize it, that's all the matters to them. But still I wanted to do something for her. So an old friend and I figured something out.

Merlin finally takes his hands off of my eyes, and I open them and gasp at what I see. There, towering over me is an enormous reptilian creature, covered in golden scales from its head, to its long, tapering tale. Huge bat-like wings protrude from its back. And his eyes...I feel like they're boring into me, seeing through to my very soul.

"Prim," Merlin begins, "You remember what I told you about the Great Dragon?"

"So this is the girl you wish to be bonded with, young warlock?" The Dragon asked me.

"Yes," I replied, taking her hand, "Yes, this is her."

"Merle," Primrose began, "Who are you talking to?"

"Oh," I forgotten only I could hear him, "I was talking to the Dragon." Then I turned to face her as I continued, "You see, there's an very old, almost lost, ritual, sort of like a wedding ceremony, if you will. Would you be interested in partaking in it with me?"

Primrose's eyes light up like a blazing fire. "You know I am."

The ritual begins with Merlin wrapping a length of greenery around our outstretched wrist. Suddenly I hear words I can't understand. Suddenly I feel a surge of energy surrounding me and him, something connecting us. Suddenly numerous visions appear before my eyes. I see us, sometime in the near future by the looks of it, building a home of our own together. I see a little a girl with a yellow ribbon in her very dark hair. I see another one, identical in appearance run up to her and they run off to play. I see a baby boy with very blue eyes. I see us old and gray, after those children have grown-up and have family of their own. I see Merlin keeping his promise to never leave me, dying a few weeks after I go. I even see reunited in the world after this one. When the visions clear, I'm back in the field, looking at Merlin, and I can tell by the looks in his eyes, he's seen everything I just saw. And he likes what he sees.

I slowly dragged the greenery off our arms, and we learned in and kiss. It wasn't actually a necessary part of this particular ritual, but it seemed like a good way to end it. "So," I began, "How do you feel?"

That was good question. There's a lot of feelings going through me right now. "Very lucky," I say, "Very happy, like-everything is coming together."

Merlin smiles at me. "That's how I feel too."

And with that, we walk off together, into the future.

AN: So who do think said that last line? Merlin? Prim? I'm not even sure and I wrote it! Anyway, this is it. We have officially reached the end of the story. Thank you to everyone who read and reviewed, and followed and favorited, and especially thank you to everyone who put with me putting it on hiatus for a year. I love you guys!
