Chapter 26: Ancient Technology

Back at HQ's prison area after Carly gave out the jackets and the cards to the newest members, Carly and Sebastian were staring down at a locked up Maris.
Maris then replied, "I'm not revealing anything at all to you guys!"
Sebastian then replied, "Just tell us what you know."
"Not a chance, dimwits! I have no reason why I shouldn't have to tell you anything."
Carly then replied, "I guess he's right."
Carly activated her disk and she replied, "If you don't talk, we're dueling right here and now and you'll be using the prison deck and its one of the worst ones to have!"
Maris sighed and replied, "These threats don't scare me."
As she deactivated her disk, Sebastian looked at him and replied, "How about we teleport your ass back in the past to the dinosaur era?"
"You wouldn't."
Sebastian smiled and replied, "Also, you'll have no way of escaping the world because your damn equipment will be shut down as well!"
Maris sighed and replied, "Fine, I'll spill my guts!"
Carly looked at him and replied, "Good to hear. Why did you went back in time for?"
"My boss in this timeline wanted me to go back in time and give them the teleporting abilites so they can come here and help them take over other cities in the United States!"
Sebastian then replied, "We stopped that at least."
"He'd thought if those brats would be trapped in this timeline, our gang would have a better chance of winning it all."
Carly then replied, "You and your bosses thought wrong. Who are they?"
"My boss in this timeline was named Zerijin and the ones from the past were Slade and Shade."
Sebastian then replied, "I knew it'd be that jerk Zerijin. That bastard has given us more trouble then ever by sending spies to us and this last one was annoying to say at least."
Carly then replied, "Thank you for all this great information and to say thanks...you'll get a 20 year sentence instead of a 50 year one!"
"I rather have the sentence then go back to my boss with bad news."
Carly then replied, "One more thing, how'd you get into Ginny's apartment?"
"A undercover member of our gang was disguised as a part-time door guard for the building and with the right amount of money, anyone can be a good partner in crime!"
"Man, you went into the wrong kind of work, dude.", Sebastian said with a sigh. "Are they any more members of your gang from this timeline back in theirs?"
"Just me was sent."
Carly sighed and replied," Thats all we needed to know. Enjoy your time with us."
They turned around and left the room and Maris smiled and replied, "Actually, we have 1 more person in their timeline and I'm not going to tell them anything. They'll find about him on their own!"

A few hours later, the gang finished getting their jackets on.
Christina then replied, "These rock."
"I agree, girl. I feel like a total winner wearing this awesome jacket.", Ginny said with a smile.
The doors opened up and Carly & Sebastian walked in and Carly smiled and replied, "Loving the jackets, I see."
They alll nodded and Kelly replied, "You two can't be seperated."
"What do you except for us being married for about 10 years now!", Sebastian said with a laugh.
Blackhawk then replied, "I didn't even know that at all."
Carly then replied, "We've kept it a secret for a while now. I have something to report to you all."
They all turned to her and she sighed and replied, "The Savage Beasts have a undercover gang member that was disguised as a apartment guard for Ginny's building. That's how he managed to enter our building."
Ashley then replied, "Who is this jerk?"
"He goes by the name of Tony Demarcoson. He is part of your timeline, but was partner with Maris. Maris came and Tony is watching the damn building. If we don't stop him soon, Shade and Slade will send their troops here until we are overwhelmed."
Lucas then replied, "My brother is a police officer for Minneapolis and when we return we'll set up a sting to get him captured.'
Carly then replied, "That is actually a good idea. The jackets will vanish when you enter your own timeline, but when you're dueling a member of the Beasts, they'll come on and you'll feel the energy once more."
Suddenly, a portal opened up and Sebastian nodded and replied, "Time for all of you to head back to your time. Thank you for coming and good job on the work you've all done so far and hopefully, we'll see you all again."
Ginny nodded and replied, "Will do, sir."
The gang all walked into the portal and then it closed up.
Blackhawk smiled and replied, "Make me proud, sis."
Carly then replied, "They'll do just fine. Nothing has stopped so far and they'll do a great job of beating those beasts!"
Sebastian sighed and replied, "Lets hope so, hon."

Back at their house, Christina and Lucas told Trevor about what happened to them and about the suspect.
Trevor nodded and replied, "So, this spy works for the beasts and he allowed that Maris guy to head in the apartment?"
"Thats about right, bro.", Lucas said with a sigh.
Trevor then replied, "I totally understand this now and I'll talk to my boss about me and Fenton going onto another sting to snag the jerk!"
Christina then replied, "Cool. How was it here?"
"Pretty relaxing, actually. Tina was a good little girl while you were gone and I had to work one night, but I was off the other days."
Lucas then replied, "I want to thank you for all this, bro."
"Anytime, little brother."

That night in the Police Chief's office, Trevor was there with Fenton talking about what was going on.
The chief nodded and replied, "So you and your buddy want to do another sting to bust another member of the damn gang?"
"More or less, Chief."
He nodded and replied, "You have my permission. You guys captured R.J. last time and this newest bastard must be caught! Do what you have to do to capture him and good luck as well."
Trevor Suluted him and replied, "Thanks, sir."
As he walked out of the office, Fenton walked up to him and repleid, "We get the okay, bud?"
"Sure did, Fent. You want to the do the honors of dueling this jackass?"
"I'd be delighted and honored to do so, buddy."
Trevor then replied, "Good. Lets get some energy drinks and doughnuts and go bust this bastard."

Later that night, outside of apartment building, Trevor and Fenton were waiting for the crook to come while in the same van they used when they busted R.J. and Maris. While waiting, Fenton was looking through his deck while Steven was eating a chocolate doughnut with sprinkles.
Fenton smile dand replied, "THis deck is awesome and I can't wait to use it."
He slid the deck into his jacket pocket and he replied, "Any sign of this guy?"
"Not a minute."
Suddenly, they saw the criminal disguised as a door guard walk up to the apartments main door.
Steven nodded and replied, "Thats Tony."
Fenton smiled and replied, "Lets grab him!"
Steven then replied, "We wait for him to get inside and start working and then we come in. Do we have that statment from Maris ready to go, buddy?"
"In my right pocket, Stevie."
Suddenly, the crook took a keycard and slid it through the slot and it the door opened up, which he quickly walked into and closed behind him and Fenton then replied, "Now, how do WE get in there now?"
Steven then replied, "The owner of this place gave our department a set of keys and keycards for the whole building, just in case something bad would happen."
Fenton smiled and replied, "Awesome. Lets get this jerk."

A little while later, Tony was at his post. The one before him left to head home for the night.
He sighed and replied, "Another boring night here."
Suddenly, Fenton and Trevor came in and they walked up to him and Tony smiled and replied, "Can I help you two."
Fenton nodded and replied, "Yes you can. You can be arrested now."
"Pardon me?"
Trevor then replied, "We're both cops from the police department and you're under arrest for letting in the wrong people and for fraud."
The gangster laughed and replied, "You need a bit more evidence."
Fenton took the paper out of his pocket and Tony took it and he read it and he growled and replied, "Damn it!"
Fenton then replied, "We make a deal now."
"Which is?"
Fenton then replied, "We have a duel on the roof and if you lose, you're arrested and if you win, I'll let you go."
"Hell yes I'll accept!"
"To the roof then."

A few minutes later, they were on it and both had their disks on their arms.
Trevor smiled and replied, "Time to see this awesome new deck of yours, buddy."
Fenton "Ready to go?"
"Damn right I am!"
both activated their disks and drew 5 cards apiece from them.
"Game on!", both yelled out.
(Tony LP: 8000 - Fenton LP: 8000)
Fenton drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and 1 card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Tony drew a card and replied, "Score! I discard 1 dark monster to special summon my Dark Grepher!"
As he discarded a card, the evil grepher clone appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"I now summon my Vorse Raider!"
As he sat the card down, the dark beast-warrior appeared (ATK: 1,900).
"Lets do it. Vorse Raider, attack!"
He swung his axe and a Dekoichi appeared on the card (DEF: 1,000) and was blown into a pile of burning metal as the axe struck it and then Tony replied, "Attack!"
The swordsman went in..
Fenton quickly replied, "I activate Negate Attack!"
Suddenly, a hidden barrier stopped it.
"Damn it. I end my turn now."
Fenton drew a card and replied, "I summon my Geargiarsenal!"
As he sat the card down, a machine with treads appeared with cannons on its sides (ATK: 1,500).
"I now play Double Summon..for another one!"
Suddenly, another of the odd machines appeared (ATK: 1,500).
"These machines gains 200 ATK for each one on the field!"
The cannons began to glow (ATK: 1,500 - 1,900 x2).
"Since I have only have machines in my graveyard, I can play Soliditary!"
Suddenly, they began to glow again (ATK: 1,900 - 2,800).
Tony groaned and replied, "Damn man."
Trevor then replied, "Awesome deck so far, buddy!"
"Thanks! Attack them both!"
The machines fired a barrage of lasers and they shot and both dark monsters were blown to atoms (Tony LP: 8000 - 6000).
Fenton smiled and replied, "Take that! I'll set a monster and 1 card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Tony drew a card and replied, "I play Foolish Burial!"
He took a monster from his deck and discarded it and then he replied, "I now have only 3 dark monsters in my graveyard, so I can special summon my Dark Armed Dragom!"
As he sat the card down, one of the most well-known monsters in the game appeared (ATK: 2,800).
Fenton groaned and replied, "I always hated this guy!"
Trevor then replied, "Still, it's one of the popular dark monsters in the game right now."
"Damn right it is and its time for its ability! I Banish my cards to destroy your facedown card, one of those machines and that spell card!"
Suddenly, it began to glow and it launched bursts of energy that shot out and blew the Soliditary card, one of machines and his facedown card Mirror Force to pieces (ATK: 2,700 - 1,700).
"Attack!"
The huge dark dragon began to roar as launched a wave of green & black energy that shot and blew the machine to pieces (Fenton LP: 8000 - 6900).
"There you go. I now activate Sebek's Blessing to gain some points back."
He began to glow (Tony LP: 6000 - 7100) and then replied, "I'll end my turn now."
Fenton drew a card and replied, "Since I have only machines in my graveyard and at least one is in there, I can now special summon my Gearspring Spirit!"
As he sat the card down, a ghost-like machine appeared and knelt (DEF: 0).
"Next, I play Junk Dealer! With this card, I can special summon up to machines or warriors from my graveyard with half of their attack points, but they still have their effects."
Suddenly, both Geararsenals appeared (ATK: 1,500 x2 - 750 - 1,150).
"Since these machines are level 4, I overlay them both!"
Both machines began to sparkle as they turned into white orbs and then a portal opened up, which they flew into.
"I use these monsters to build the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon! Appear now...Gear Gigant X!"
As he sat the card down, a large cyborg with a huge gear on its back appeared (ATK: 2,300).
Trevor then replied, "I get it now! You concentrate on Earth Machines while I do so with machines of light?"
"Sure is, buddy. I use a few non-earth machines and a few monster that are not even machines at all. I now use my Gearsprings Ability to make one of your monsters be reduced to 0 attack!"
Suddenly, the huge dragon let out a mighty roar (ATK: 2,800 - 0).
"Since he has no attack, my spirit would be a sitting duck. I now play Advance Draw to tribute it to draw a couple of cards since its a level 8 monster!"
As he played the spell card, the ghostly machine dissolved into light and he drew 2 cards and then he replied, "I now use my Xyz's ability! By removing one of his Xyz Material monsters, I can add a level 4 or lower machine from my deck to my hand!"
As he discarded one of the Xyz Material monsters, he took a monster and added it to his hand from his deck and then he replied, "Lets do this! Attack his Dark Armed Dragon!"
The machines visor that was covering its head began to glow and then it fired a beam of pure light and it shot out and struck the huge dragon and it let out a mighty roar before it exploded into black globules (Tony LP: 7100 - 4300).
Trevor smiled and replied, "Yea, man!"
"Take that! I end my turn now."
Tony drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and 1 card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Fenton drew a card and replied, "I summon my Mechanicalchaser!"
As he sat the card down, the many-armed mechanical hunter appeared (ATK: 1,850).
"Lets do it. Mechanicalchaser, attack!"
The machine went in and a Obsidian Dragon appeared on the card (DEF: 2,100) and a few sparks appeared when it struck with its prod arm (Fenton LP: 6900 - 6650).
"Attack!"
The machine fired a laser from its visor and it shot out, blowing the dark statue in a cloud of black dust.
"Your turn now."
Tony drew a card and replied, "I play Foolish Burial!"
He took a monster and discarded it and then he reshuffled and replied, "I now play Burial from a different Dimension!"
He took his Vorse Raider and Dark Grepher and returned them and then he replied, "I now exactly have 5 dark monsters in my graveyard, I can now special summon The Dark Creator!"
As he sat the card down, the dark and evil counterpart of The Creator appeared (ATK: 2,300).
"I now banish 1 dark monster to special summon another from my graveyard!"
As he banished his Dark Grepher, the dark counterpart of Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 appeared with a roar (ATK: 3,000).
"This my Dark Horus that I discarded with my Dark Grephers ability!"
Fenton groaned and replied, "Damn man."
Trevor then replied, "He and Dark Armed Dragon are the only 2 dragons I will refuse to ever battle with."
"Big Deal! Dark Creator, attack his Mechanicalchaser!"
The huge thunder monster began to glow and then it launched a burst of dark electricity and it shot, blowing Mechanicalchaser to little pieces.
"Dark Horus, attack that Xyz!"
The huge dragon let out a burst of dark flames and they struck the huge machine and it exploded, blowing hot pieces of metal all over the rooftop (Fenton LP: 6650 - 5500).
Tony laughed and replied, "You won't beat me! I end my turn now."
Fenton drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster facedown and a couple of cards facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Tony drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and I'll with Dark Horus!"
The machine let out a burst of hot flames and a Mighty Guard appeared on the card (DEF: 1,200) and the flames melted the robot soldier into a pile of slag and he quickly replied, "I activate Broken Blocker!"
Suddenly, two more of them appeared (DEF: 1,200) and the Dark Creator launched a wave of dark electricity and it struck, reducing one more of the cyborgs into a pile of broken metal.
"I end my turn now."
Fenton drew a card and replied, "I now summon my Geargiano Mk-II!"
As he sat the card down, a robot with two large yellow gears and wide gear-like eyes appeared (ATK: 1,000).
"I use its ability to special summon my Geargiano in faceup defense postion."
Suddenly, another of the Geargia monsters appeared and knelt (DEF: 1,000).
"I now use my Miniaturize!"
Suddenly, Mighty Guard shrank down a little bit (ATK: 0 - LV: 4 - 3).
"I now overlay my 3 level monsters!"
The 3 machines turned into 3 grey orbs and a portal opened up, which they flew into.
"With these monster, I build the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon! Appear before me...Geargiagear XG!"
As he sat the card down, a huge robot with a large cannon on its arm for a weapon appeared (ATK: 2,500).
Trevor then replied, "Quite a good deck, my friend!"
"Thank you! I now use one Xyz Material monster to negate the effect of all monsters on the field!"
As he took a card and discarded it, the two dark monsters began to turn darker black.
"I now play my Burden of the Mighty!"
Suddenly, The Dark Creator began to shoot out sparks (ATK: 2,300 - 1,500) and the dragon let out a roar (ATK: 3,000 - 2,200).
"Now, blow his Dark Creator away!"
IT aimed his arm and fired a huge burst of energy and it shot out and struck it in the chest, blasting The Dark Creator into little pieces (Tony LP: 5000 - 4000).
"Take that! I end my turn now."
Tony drew a card and replied, "I'll switch Horus to defense and I now banish 2 dark monsters to send a monster there!"
As he banished his Vorse Raider and Dark Armed Dragon, he discarded a card and then replied, "I'll set one more monster facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Fenton drew a card and replied, "I summon my Geargiattacker!"
As he sat the card down, a green jet appeared with a Geargiano controlling it (ATK: 1,900).
"Lets do it. Geargiano, attack!"
The machine fired a burst of missles and they shot out and struck, blowing the dragon into a fiery cloud of black smoke.
"Geargiagear XG, attack!"
The machine aimed and fired another laser and a Dark Crusader appeared on the card (DEF: 200) before the laser shot vaporized the dark warrior.
"I'll set a monster facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Tony drew a card and replied, "Since I used her ability to send her to the graveyard, I get to special summon my Dark Nephthys!"
As he sat the card down, the evil phoenix appeared (ATK: 2,400 - 1,700).
"Since I special summoned him that way, I can waste one of your spell or trap cards!"
The dark phoenix let out some flames and it shot out and burnt the spell card to a crisp (ATK: 1,700 - 2,400).
"Next, I play Fiend's Sanctuary!"
As he sat the card down, the beady token appeared (DEF: 0).
"I now banish 1 dark monster to summon the Dark Tricky!"
As he banished his Dark Creator, a dark spellcaster appeared (ATK: 2,000).
"I now special summon a new monster by tributing any number of DARK monsters I control!"
As the token and the dark spellcaster vanished into dark particles, a twisted and evil counterpart of Gilford the Lightning appeared (ATK: 2,800).
"Since I used two cards, I can destroy 2 of your cards!"
He swung his sword and a huge burst of electricity shot out and struck its targets. First, the Xyz machine exploded into fiery metal and then the engine of the airborne machine exploded and a fiery explosion was seen as it crashed.
"Attack this fool directly!"
Gilford the Black charged in..
Fenton quickly replied, "I activate Nutrient Z!"
Suddenly, he began to glow (Fenton LP: 5500 - 9500) before the dark struck him with its blade and the dark phoenix hit with dark flames (Fenton LP: 9500 - 4300).
"I'll bring you down soon enough!"
Fenton drew a card and replied, "I play Treasured Cards From Heaven!"
They both drew 6 cards and then he replied, "I now discard my Machina Cannon to special summon my Machina Fortress!"
As he discarded a card, a large bulky machine appeared (ATK: 2,500).
"Next, I summon my Green Gadget!"
As he sat the card down, a small yellow robot appeared (ATK: 1,400) and then he took a monster from his deck and placed it in his hand and then he replied, "Next, I play Double Summon to offer my Green Gadget for my Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Chimera!"
As the spell appeared and the robot vanished, a large ancient machine that looked a large chimera-like beast appeared (ATK: 2,300).
"Since I used a Green Gadget to summon him, It gains 300 ATK!"
Suddenly, it began to glow (ATK: 2,300 - 2,600) and then replied, "I now equip Machina Fortress with 7 Completed!"
Suddenly, a small yellow seven appeared on its side (ATK: 2,500 - 3,200).
Trevor then replied, "Geargia, Machina and Ancient Gear monsters in the same deck? Very tricky, but very cool set of earth machines!"
"Thanks, buddy! Chimera, attack his Dark Nepthys!"
The machine let out some flames and launched it, blowing the evil phoenix to shards.
"Machina Fortress, attack!"
The machine fired a huge laser of pure light and it shot out and the evil counterpart was blown to atoms as the laser struck him (Tony LP: 4000 - 3400).
Fenton smiled and replied, "Take that! I End my turn now."
Tony drew a card and replied, "I play Tribute to the Doomed!"
As he discarded a 2nd Vengeful Shinobi to his graveyard, bandages came out of the ground and wrapped the machine up before it blew up in a fiery explosion.
"Good. I now Allure of Darkness!"
He drew 2 cards and took a Doomsday Horror and banished it and then replied, "I'll set a new monster facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Fenton drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and I'll attack!"
The dragon let out a huge burst of flames and a Night Assailant appeared on the card (DEF: 500 before the flames roasted it.
"Aw, damn it!"
Suddenly, sparks flew from the beastly machine before it collapsed into a pile of rusty metal.
"Damn it. I end my turn now."
Fenton drew a card and replied, "I'll activate my 2nd Fiend's Sanctuary!"
As he played the card, the beady token appeared (DEF: 0).
"I now tribute my token for my Dark General Freed!"
As the token vanished, the dark general appeared (ATK: 2,300).
"Next, I play Double Summon for my Dark Valkyria!"
As he sat the card down, the dark counterpart of Dunamis Dark Witch appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Lets do it. Freed, attack the facedown monster and my Valkyria will attack you directly!"
The wicked warrior of darkness went in and a Morphing Jar appeared on card (DEF: 600) before the warrior smashed it with its sword and then they both discarded their current hands and both drew 5 cards apiece and then Valkyria's arms began to glow as a ball of dark energy appeared and it shot out and struck Fenton (Fenton LP: 4300 - 2500).
"There you go! I end my turn now."
Fenton drew a card and replied, "I summon my Ancient Gear Statue!"
As he sat the card down, the very tiny form of Ancient Gear Golem appeared (ATK: 500).
"I now tribute it special summon my rarest card from my hand, ignoring its restrictions!"
As the tiny statue vanished, one of the most rarest machine monsters in the game appeared and it was the legendary Ancient Gear Golem (ATK: 3,000).
"Meet the awesome and mighty Ancient Gear Golem!"
Tony groaned and replied, "Damn it."
Trevor smiled and replied, "Great move, buddy!"
"Thank you. Smash her Valkyria flat!"
The huge machine swung his mighty and it struck, smashing Valkyria to pieces (Tony LP: 3400 - 2200).
"Take that! I'll set a monster and that'll end my turn now."
Tony drew a card and replied, "I banish a dark monster to summon my 2nd Dark Tricky!"
As he banished the Valkyria, a 2nd of the dark spellcasters appeared (ATK: 2,800).
I now tribute my 2 monsters to summon my Darklord Zerato!"
As the two monsters vanished, the mighty wicked fairy appeared (ATK: 2,800).
Trevor groaned and replied, "Not that thing.."
Tony smiled evily and replied, "Yes it is and I'm finishing you off! I discard 1 dark monster to.."
"Do nothing at all!", Fenton butted in. "I activate Breakthrough Skill!"
Suddenly, Zerato began to glow and then he let out a groan.
"Damn you! I end my turn now."
Fenton drew a card and replied, "I now play Limitor Removal!"
Suddenly, the machines fists began to glow (ATK: 3,000 - 6,000).
"Lets do it. Golem, attack his Zerato!"
The machine swung its fist again and then it struck the huge dark monster in the chest, blowing Zerato to pieces and ending the duel (Tony LP: 2200 - 0).
Trevor smiled and replied, "Great dueling, buddy!"
Fenton walked up to him and replied, "You lost, so you're now under arrest."
Tony sighed and replied, "Whatever."
Fenton took out some handcuffs and did his job with them and then Trevor walked up next to him and they all left the roof area of the apartment.

Dark Tricky
Spellcaster/Effect/Dark/ATK: 2,000/DEF: 1,200/5 Stars
You can banish 1 DARK monster from your graveyard to special summon this card from your hand. When this card is banished from your graveyard by the effect of a DARK monster: Add 1
"Dark Tricky" from your deck to your hand and this effect can only be used once per turn.
