On top of that, I slipped in a classic I hope you like. I love disney. So proud of this chapter. I'd love for someone to actually cover these songs I've adapted for the story XD I think a Pitch Black Be Prepared song was LONG over due. :)

Adventure 17: Be Prepared.

Anna paced in Arendelle. She had ranted for the past hour to Kristoff about her sister's icy behavior. "I mean, I thought we had a connection, you know?" Anna looked sadly at Kristoff, but when he went forward to hug her, she suddenly balled her hands into fists, twirling away and he ended up hugging air as she brandished her fists to the heavens above in their bed chamber. "Well, you know what! I won't stand for it! Sit for it! Or take it! I will go after her and give her a piece of my mind!" Anna grabbed her snow coat and tied it around her shoulders, grabbing her mittens. Kristoff bit his lip.

"Anna, wait!" He said, grabbing her by the shoulder. "I know you're upset, but we don't even know where your sister is!"

"Kristoff, I love you, but don't try to stop me!" Anna said, hands on her hips, her big green eyes looking back into Kristoff's pine-cone red tinted ones. Kristoff sighed. He reluctantly let her go and Anna strode from the room. Kristoff scratched his head and let out a sigh, grabbing his own snow gear.

"Well, if you can't beat them, make sure they don't get killed before the honeymoon," he reasoned, somewhat amused but mostly wondering what the heck kind of family he had pretty much engaged himself to. He headed for the door when it slammed shut suddenly. With a jolt, Kristoff's eyes widened. He looked around himself. He was...shorter? What? He looked at himself. His jaw dropped. He was EIGHT years old again. He looked up and nearly wet himself. In front of him was an evil daddy-long legs oddly haired man in all black with beady lifeless eyes, and grey skin that made milk curdle in it's skin.

"Making you eight again is simply delightful... I will be borrowing you, young man. My name is Pitch...Pitch Black...and I am going to destroy Jack Frost...by using Elsa...and her little snot-nosed friends..." Pitch cackled darkly, swooping in on the terrified, eight year old Kristoff. Kristoff however was quick, and he managed to dive between Pitch's legs. He rolled away and towards the window. Backing up against one of the second story windows, Kristoff gave a panicked whistle for Sven, his trusty Reindeer. Sven was outside at the time, watching Anna pack, and ramble but at the sound of his friend's whistling, he took off, and Anna blinked, feeling something was wrong in her gut. She ran after Sven, leaving her horse with Olaf the snowman.

"Things are getting more chill by the second...eh?" Olaf giggled at the horse. The horse just looked at him annoyed. It then spotted his carrot nose and tried to eat it but Olaf managed to evade, giggling the entire time. Meanwhile, back in the castle, Kristoff's heart was pounding in his ears. His eyes widened as he saw some shadow like beasts move around Pitch. One was a wolf, and the other was a bear. He gulped as they lunged at him. He looked behind him desperately. Pitch cackled.

"No where to run, nowhere to hide..." He sounded so convinced he was winning. Kristoff dodged barely, rolling towards the door but Pitch cackled gleefully. "Ah, Ah, Ah...play things shouldn't move without permission!" He gleefully waved a hand and Kristoff found smoky tendrils suddenly wrap around his arms and legs. Kristoff grunted, struggling.

"W-Who are you! What the heck do you want! L-leave Anna and Elsa alone!" he yelled. He hated how childish he sounded. Literally.

Suddenly, before Pitch could continue his delightfully dark delivery of a speech, the door was kicked down by Sven. Pitch cackled and the shadow bear attacked instantly. Sven let out a terrified bellow and Kristoff shrieked. "LEAVE SVEN ALONE! SVEN! RUN! RUN!" He regretted dragging Sven into this instantly. He knew that this man-if he could be called that- was not human. At least, not anymore. Kristoff desperately wracked his brains for an escape. Suddenly, Kristoff could sense the darkness and it chilled his eight year old feet to the bone. Sven was quickly subdued and Kristoff flung himself at the shadow creature that held his best friend down, but Pitch had him tied up easily in his smoky tendrils of dark murky shadows. Sven struggled but was knocked out easily. Kristoff could hear Anna calling his name outside the door, but when she tried to open it, the door wouldn't open. Pitch smirked darkly at Kristoff. Suddenly, there was a shriek as Sven managed to pierce one of the shadows and Kristoff's eyes lit up. Sven galloped over and Kristoff was quickly tossed onto Sven's back. Pitch hissed in anger and surprise.

"Jump, Sven, JUMP!" Kristoff yelled. Sven let out a reindeer noise that sounded like a battle cry, and smashed right through the second story window. Pitch stared.

"You have got to be kidding." Pitch sighed. "Let's take this somewhere a little more private~" He shook the snow globe, having moved outside effortlessly and with his dark magical capabilities, and Sven and Kristoff yelped in unison as Pitch swallowed them up into a blue and green portal. With a yell, Kristoff and Sven ended up in some sort of shadowy cage in some dark underground lair instead. Kristoff made sure Sven was ok before stumbling over to the bars.

"Hey! Why'd you suck us through that...that wierd light thing!" he yelled.

"Why'd you jump from the second story window on a reindeer that clearly can't fly?" Pitch countered, with a quirk of a long dark arching eyebrow.

"...touche." Kristoff's face fell. "H-How did you make me e-eight?!" he yelled at Pitch. Pitch cackled, smirking, and he held what looked to be a snow globe in his hand.

"There's more to this snow globe than initially meets the eye, boy," Pitch cackled. "Allow me to ah, put this into simpler terms for a simple creton like you can even understand..." He swaggered closer to the bars and Kristoff backed up against Sven as Pitch began to sing on top of the wierd globe thing he had in the center of the room. Kristoff noted how the cage was attached to the cieling. So much for a swift get away.

PITCH:

I never thought you would be useful

You're so boring and very unspecial

but maybe you've a glimmer of potential

Because of my vision and my brain

I know that your powers of retention

Are as wet as a warthog's back side

But thick as you are, pay attention

My words are a matter of pride

It's clear from your vacant expression

You haven't much light on upstairs

But we're talking Frost and Revenge

Even you can't be caught unawares

So prepare for news of a lifetime

Be prepared for sensational news

A shining new era

is tiptoeing nearer

Kristoff: What does that even mean?

PITCH:

Just listen to this story

I know it sounds oddly

But I will be rewarded

When at last, I'm given my dues!

And injustice deliciously squared

Be prepared!

Kristoff: What? Be Prepared? What is there to be prepared for?

PITCH: For the death of Jack Frost

Kristoff: Death of that kid?

PITCH:

Of course, I'm going to KILL him. And Elsa, too.

Kristoff: Elsa too?! Why kill her as well?!

Shadow Creatures: No Jack, No Elsa, La la la lala!

PITCH: Idiot! She has taken ahold of his heart.

Kristoff: A hold of his heart?

PITCH:

Indeed she has! She has given him, dare I say it...cold feet.

Kristoff: I can't agree! I can't agree to this! I won't let you!

I'm going to stop you before you go farther and try to hurt her!

PITCH:

Of course, quid pro quo, you're expected

To take certain horror from this

The future is littered with prizes

And though I'm the main addressee

The point that I must emphasize is

Jack Frost will DIE because of ME.

SO prepare for the downfall of the century

Be PREPARED for the murkiest scam Oooooo, la-la-la

Meticulous planning will be accounted

Tenacity spanning Oh the tingle

A decade I waited for

This opportunity

Destroy him, crush him

Be seen for the true master of the shadows I am

Yes, my shadows and ambitions are bared

Be Prepared!

Kristoff:

Even if this ends badly for me, I will stop you right there!

*end song*

Pitch cackled darkly. "Stop me? You're only digging yourself deeper, boy."

Kristoff kicked the cage bars in frustration and winced, hopping around, eyes watering. "...Why Jack? Why Elsa? What the heck is going on!" Kristoff wanted desperately to let Anna know he was ok -at least for now. Pitch stroked his long pointy chin, his razor sharp teeth showing in that maniacal dark mischievious downright scary taunting parting of his pale lips not helping the situation any.

"I thought I made it clear. I hate Jack Frost. He ruined everything. Everything." Pitch hissed. "I would have destroyed the holidays and had complete control over the children of this planet if it weren't for him and that no good big baby Jamie Bennett...in fact...now that I've got you...I have ah...one more brat to round up..." Pitch's eyes ginted with life, but it was the kind of light that would be necrophiliacs want to never touch a dead person ever again. His eyes burned worse than any licking flames, and Kristoff gulped, protectively moving in front of Sven as Pitch left the shadow wolf to guard them. Kristoff's heart sank. Who was Pitch black...what were these holidays...and how did him being eight tie into anything?

"Hey Sven... there's no chance you can shoot laser beams from your eyes...is there?" Kristoff looked to his companion who just gave him a look. Kristoff sighed. "It's not your fault you were born normal, buddy." Kristoff patted him. Meanwhile in Arendelle, Anna finally managed to open the door.

Anna looked around. "Kristoff? Kristoff?" She looked worried, and she clutched her chest, her eyes tearing up ever so slightly from panic. Her sister was gone, and now her lover and closest friend? Anna sniffled when all of a sudden she heard a noise behind her. Quickly swirling, her eyes widened. In front of her, was Elsa. Anna's eyes brimmed with tears of anger and surprise. "E-Elsa?! What are you doing here!?"

Elsa looked at her and bowed her head. "I am sorry. I was irrational. However, I have mended my ways...please...let me help you find Kristoff, I heard about the commotion and I came back ...I ...I want to apologize. I want to help you find Kristoff..." Anna looked her elder sister up and down in that green and black dress she wore daily when she wasn't in her castle or trying on some other attire. "I...I was trying to go to find you... I...but...now I have to find Kristoff...Oh Elsa!" Anna was so relieved to see her sister, and she flung her arms around her. Sniffling. As she hugged her sister, and blubbered, Elsa continued to pet her head. However, her shadow snaked from her feet out the door, and around the corner, and Pitch continued to mouth all the things that Elsa was saying. He had mastered the art of the shadow doppeldanger. Anna had the heart of a child still, and so it was easy to turn a "nightmare" into a "dream" for Pitch. Pitch's face stretched into a grotesque yet sickeningly pleased smirk. He was only getting closer to his goal while Jack Frost was getting more and more lost.
