Hey everyone happy Friday and time for a new update. I remember a couple chapters back, some of you seemed excited to know that's gonna happen on the date with Nya and Jay 2. Well that moment has come now. Nindroid and samurai on a date, what are the results? Also should mention that in the middle, just one paragraph, of this chapter on what's gonna happen to Nya may seem troubling and wrong, but I rest-assure you that it's not gonna happen to her. I made sure of it. This is some of the reasons why I rated this T. Death, language, etc... Anyway, let's get back to the chapter, enjoy. :)

Chapter 22: Kiss The Hero

Nervousness. Anxiety. And butterflies in his stomach. Those were the three feelings the android was feeling as he strolled along the streets of Ninjago City with a girl whose hair was short and dark, black as the night. There was also the body effects of shaky hands, quivering legs and lips to stutter on words, rapid heartbeat or rather accelerated power source to the blue nindroid. But those were the effects that Jay 2 was experiencing as humans would, and the real Jay, feel on a first date. Well first date for him with a human and Nya would see this as a regular date for the two of them. The good thing for him was that she hasn't suspect anything about him and think he's Jay.

The night was still young as the moon was slowly rising and brightening the night with its illuminating hue light. The two strolled down the quiet streets of Downtown Ninjago City, walking down past other couples hand in hand with chirps of laughter falling behind them. His hazel eyes slowly enlighten to scan and study the next couple to understand human affections toward one another, but stopped as something soft held his right hand to turn and blushed a light shade of red as it was Nya. It even made him blush more as she softly giggled toward his blush. Was this how Jay felt a lot?

The raven haired girl smiled to his blushing face to rest her head on his shoulder. "No need to blush, Jay." she said softly. "It's not like our first date when you were slowly turning into a Serpentine. This is a normal date of just us together. So just relax." She smiled a little to see the blush on his cheeks slowly fade. "I'm having a great time though. Away from the boys and spending quality time together. What about you? You've been quiet for some time."

Indeed that statement was true. When the two were at the small cafe that the real Jay would take Nya to, the auburn android was quiet but still had small talk with her. It was the usual how was your day or talking about what happened at Jay's aunt's condominium to discuss the outcomes. Even his coffee he had was bitter to his taste and should've gone with the tea like the samurai had. No wonder the real Jay doesn't drink coffee that he knew of. But that was beside the point, the real main point was that this was Jay 2's first time having a date with a girl his memories couldn't allow him to remember and not fall in love with her. But yet, he could feel affections of love toward her slowly. "Uh...nothing really." he lied. "Something has been bugging me lately and I'm trying to solve it alone. It's nothing you can help with."

Jay 2 felt something warm and soft pressed gently on his cheek to cause him to tense a little to turn as it was Nya kissing him. He blushed to her warmth to softly smile back at her as she smiled to him and pressed his lips on her cheek to return it. "I understand." she said. "You're going through a lot lately and I know deep down, you'll solve it. May take time though, but I have faith in you." A smile formed on the nindroid's face to her as he felt his power source brighten to her support. No wonder why Jay loves her.

As the two strolled down the quiet street, Jay 2 began to feel uneasy to his surroundings. Almost as if they were...being followed. It even didn't help him as he felt a raindrop tap his nose with thunder rumbling, there wasn't a forecast on a rain tonight. The android glanced over his shoulder to notice two males in leather jackets with a snake insignia on the chest and maybe on the back as well. He turned his head back to walk a little faster with Nya to scan ahead to notice four more were ahead of them to glare slightly as he knew them. Deep within Jay's memories in his databanks was an old gang that used to bully him in the past until they stepped down thanks to the help of a friend of his, even before they were ninjas.

The Serpentine Gang; notorious to cause havoc.

The android could sense Nya was feeling nervous, but he felt stubborn and content against them. Bullying Jay was the real nonsense to them, this was a dark past to revisit; but show them a thing or two now. The two stopped as they noticed the four gang members were walking toward them and soon realized they were surrounded in a wide circle. Jay 2 glared at the one centered in front of him and clenched his free hand tightly as the raven haired teen came to them. "Hello Rat-boy." he sneered with a wicked smirk. "Long time, no see. I've missed you."

The girl blinked to turn and stare at Jay 2 in surprise. "You know these guys, Jay?" she wondered.

"Oh yeah," the gang leader smirked to lightly punch Jay 2's arm. "He and I go way back. Back when he lived at the dump. He was always a good sport to our games. Right Rat-boy?"

Jay 2 glared at the leader to snort and move his arm away. Good sport to their games, what a bunch of nonsense coming from this guy. The real Ninja of Lightning was more of a punching bag for them when they show their faces. And he felt sympathy toward his creator. "Nice to see you too, Butch." he spat out to sound like he was the real Jay toward him. "Been awhile since I last seen you. What with you running off like chickens that day and haven't been seen since. Miss me, coward?"

The look on the gang leader's face turned darker in the darkness of the city to make Jay 2 nervous with his glare still focused on the leader. His hazel eyes glanced around to see the goons were glaring and eyeing Nya with a crazed look. He was tense to their gazes. Jay wasn't going to be happy on this. "Only because that punk was a freak with his tornado." Butch scowled. "And I feel like you could use a nice trip down memory lane with us. Time for payback then." He cracked his knuckles to grin at him menacingly.

Tensed and focused, Jay 2 saw the gang surround them closer and looked at his jacket to smirk on an idea. "Nya, when I give the signal, run." he said while unzipping his jacket. He glanced at the samurai to see her concerning look and deciphered it as I can't leave you to them. But he had a plan. "Just do it!" He quickly slipped his arms freed from the sleeves to throw it at Butch's face to cause him to stumble and grabbed a goon behind them to push him into the group to have them in a pile. "Run!" he shouted to grab her hand to start running but felt his collar being pulled and was wretched from the girl and tossed on the concrete. Trapped now to what he saw as the gang recovered and was surrounded to growl and turned to Nya who was startled and petrified to move. He needed her to move for her safety. "Run. Just run! Go!"

Nya stuttered to move and knew she could fight them, but not knowing how these guys were could cause her trouble. But she couldn't leave Jay behind and get hurt. But she had to follow his orders for safety. If she could run to the Bounty quick, the others could help her and save Jay even. And even throw these creeps into jail. She'll have to go with that then. Glad she wasn't in a dress to run in.

Without hesitation, the girl quickly turned on her heels to start running as rain started to pour heavily; leaving the unknown android behind. The samurai turned into an alley to glance over her shoulder to see four of the six gang members were chasing after to shriek a bit and sprint harder, but felt cold, wet hands grab her and soon pinned to against a brick wall. She struggled against those ensnaring her, but with a good kick, one stumbled back but soon pinned her back. She screamed for help to come in aide, but she knew it was useless even in the heavy rain drenching her and stinging her eyes. What did they want anyway? She needed a miracle.

She suddenly heard yelps to cause her to open her eyes to watch the goons being pulled off and away from her by lengths of rope attached to their backs. But oddly they didn't look like ropes, but more clear and whitish. Following the source, Nya's brown eyes widen in hope as she found her hero, dangling on the wall opposite of her to pull her captors in the center. Her miracle came.

It was Spiderman.

The well-known hero scaled off the wall to charge at the group in what Nya saw in sheer anger. He would dodge many punches and debris thrown from behind, but sensed the surprise attack to fire a web onto them and whipped them back. Spiderman then jumped to send a square kick to a red head's chest and then a heel of his hand to a dirty blonde's chest to lunch both back and crumbled as they broke through glass windows. Two down, two to go. The samurai smiled widely to the heroism, but turned her head to wonder where Jay was, but he hasn't shown himself. She grew worried, but was afraid to move at first and heard someone scream to turn back as the last goon was spun around on a thread while his partner was down. The thread was severed and the goon was tossed aside into a dumpster with the lid slamming over him. It was over now.

Heavy breathing escaped from the masked hero's mouth as he stood alone in the clearing of the alley to slowly take calming breaths. Nya's eyes couldn't divert from her miracle in the heavy rain as she studied him. Tall and lean for someone a year older than her. She had to wonder who was underneath that mask like when she was the masked vigilante before her brother saw her identity. This was even the first time she saw him up close. Her thoughts were broken free when she noticed Spiderman was gazing at her and turned off to run into a narrow alley. She was baffled and realized she didn't thank him even to now start after him. "Wait!" she called for him, but stopped as he was nowhere seen. She sighed.

Up above her, attached to the brick wall by his fingers, Jay gazed down to the drenched girl he loves and saved to frown after her sigh. He just saved her from the old gang that pestered and bullied him in the past and he didn't even give her appreciation to his heroism. But he couldn't risk himself to her if she wanted to see his face. But if he loves her, he should still show what he is to everyone in Ninjago City and even her. He smiled to build his encouragement and quietly fired a thread to the iron bars of a sign and slowly dangled down behind her. "You have a knack to get yourself wound up with those jerks, aren't ya." he smiled under his mask.

The girl jumped to the voice to turn and came face to face with Spiderman dangling above her. A smile formed across her lips and moved her drenched hair from her face to laugh a bit. He was full of surprises wasn't he? "And you have a knack to come at the nick of time, even in the rain." she smiled back at him. "I may have a superhero stalker."

The smile underneath Jay's mask still played with his lips to chuckle a bit. This was enjoyable to him. "Well I was in the neighborhood." he said. "And when I saw you in that predicament and had to protect those in need. And don't worry about your friend back there, I saved him before that alpha male could hurt him more. But he should come to any minute. Don't worry, he is alright still."

Reassurance washed over the girl to know the unknown android of Jay was safe to have her sigh in relief. May have a concussion or something to worry her, but she was still relieved to know he was safe. She couldn't imagine him hurt more after what has been happening to him for the past weeks. She didn't want him in both emotional and physical pain than what he has been through. It would devastate her to see him in terrible conditions. But overall, the samurai was relieved that the undiscovered android was safe.

The girl turned to the dangling hero before her to softly smile as he was still there and not swinging away. What was he waiting for then? But she couldn't help still to smile at him. "So now what?" she wondered softly. "Doesn't every girl get to kiss the hero for his heroic stature?"

Jay's cheeks burned against the cold rain. She actually asked the question if she could kiss the hero. He always knew in comic books that the hero always got the damsel in distress's kisses all the time after saving them. Even with his favorite hero Lloyd introduced him to; Fritz Donnagen. This was like a wish coming true. He gulped quietly as he watched Nya reaching for his neck to pull his mask to become nervous that he didn't want his secret exposed to her. "Wait." he said finally to stop her. He gazed into her chocolate eyes to his quick outburst to see her nod softly as she understood. The Ninja of Lightning felt his mask being pulled from his neck down to his nose to reveal his lips and felt warm lips soon pressed against his to feel his body quiver.

Jolts of energy wavered through both individual's bodies as they grew deep into the kiss. The rain slowly eased as their lips were locked to have them close their eyes to savior the gift they received from each other. The kiss grew more passionate as they couldn't pry themselves away as Nya pulled Spiderman's head closer to hers and Spiderman couldn't pull himself away. Jay had known what it was like to have his cheek kissed, but the lips was all new to him. And to Nya, it was everything she would see from any romantic novels or films to feel her body burst with ecstasy. The lightning ninja felt that he had enough as he had to reach the Bounty before everyone was home to fire his wrist to pull himself away to hear her giggle as he swung away.

Nya's smile grew wide to laugh as she watched the hero swing away in joy. She was sure she made him feel happy as he did to saving her. But her smile slowly vanished as she felt the kiss feel rather familiar. It felt warm and familiar to her oddly as if those lips belong to someone she knew. She couldn't put her finger on it. She had a hunch to who it was under the mask and couldn't shake it off from her head. It was hard to believe. But she knew she remembered the feeling of that kiss. But who?

Unknown to the girl, a figure peered from the corner of the streets as he had watched everything unfold before his animatronic hazel eyes. Jay 2's heart, or rather power source felt still to not deliver any energy to his circuits to feel rather unusual to what he saw. He knew Jay was there as Spiderman and even kissing Nya after saving them, but he felt that if those kisses were special for him. To a Jay Walker and not Spiderman. Like when she kissed his cheek before and saw Jay's reaction, now it was vice versa. Was it what the humans called Jealously toward a person you loved? If it was, the android had to be careful with it to not expose anything on him. "Nya!" he called out to her and rushed over to her.

The air turned colder and colder to the lightning ninja after each swing he made through the drizzling city. He felt glad to plan on wearing a thermal shirt under his breathable suit. But he was soaked to the bone and shivering with chattering teeth acting like a wound up toy. He really wished it didn't rain in the middle of fall, it was always worst to catch a cold. Oh man, he hoped he didn't catch one now that he thought about it. Can't be Spiderman if he had the sniffles. But luckily for him the Bounty was in his view to smile with quivering lips. Home sweet home.

Same as before, the auburn swung around the ship to fire a thread toward the window that was still open for when he left to tuck himself into a ball and land softly on his feet. He hazed around the bedroom in hopes no one was in with him to hear absolute silence. Well except for Sensei Wu who he sensed was in the captain's quarters, but to him, he figured the others would be home soon from their little game and Jay 2 bringing Nya home safely. Relief washed over his chilly body as he was glad to be alone on the ship without anyone walking in to see him as Spiderman. To even make himself more comfortable, the blue ninja quickly removed his soaked suit and thermal shirt, took a relaxing warm shower to feel the cold leave his body while frowning to his large bruise that wrapped around his abdomen. He was right, that's gonna leave a nasty bruise from his fall to the dumpster. After the shower, he then threw his wet clothes into the dryer and threw on comfortable clothes of pajamas, and quickly entered the bridge after making himself a quick snack.

Peace swam through his mind and body as he kicked back and relaxed in the bridge to hear the rain pattered on the roof and windows. Even with a full stomach, he knew the night couldn't get any better. Or worse, depending. His hazel eyes fluttered to tiredly close them for a small nap but it was interrupted as the phone rang. He sighed as his peace was now ruined but instinct went over to pick the call up. "Destiny's Bounty." he greeted. "This is the lightning ninja speaking. How can we be of service?"

There was silence on the other end of the line, But Jay knew someone was there as he could hear soft breathing. A female even. He almost hung up the call as it was pointless in waiting but stopped. "Hello Jay," the voice said. The auburn's eyes widen to the voice to nearly drop the phone, but his fingers that helped him climb kept a hold on it. He thought he'd never would hear the voice or see the owner of the voice again after his uncle's funeral. But his heart felt heavy as he was now going into a scenario of two girls, one heart. It couldn't be. "It's me, Gwen Stacy."

Drip-drip-drip... Darkness engulfed the inky abyss of a storm drain under bridges of tracks. The air was cold and wet as the trickle of rain water swayed past through a grate that would lead to the river. Lights flashed above with roaring sound of a subway train passing through with sparks of electricity erupting from its metal wheels as it disappeared into the darkness of a tunnel. But a lone spark burst in the aftermath of the train to fall down to the abyss. It neither evaporated nor channeled in other conductors as it was energy, but it grew bigger as it felt a large energy field magnetizing toward the source. Toward the limp body of a blue skinned man lying on the wet ground and merged into his body.

Time passed in the darkness, but a dim light began to emit on the ground. Sparks of electricity danced across the dimmed body until the sparks grew larger and the body glowed brightly to a bright blue light. Blue purplish eyes soon snapped one with the gasp of the man to jolt in startle and unleashed his excess energy while shouting in anger. He breathed deeply in anger to gaze at himself how he was still alive after what Spiderman done to him. But to the thought of the web swinging hero burning in his mind, he growled deeply as he had a new mission. With being resurrected, he had renewed and powerful energy than he could imagine running through his conductive body. "Spiderman will pay." he growled. "And will be killed once and for all." He swelled his energy into his core to disappear in a flash as he conducted himself to travel through the power lines of Ninjago City.

This was now personal and final show down to him.

Duh-duh-duhhh... Electro is back! Can't kill off a villian just like that, not when he has a goal. To kill Spiderman! But that's not Jay's only concern though. A phone call from Gwen Stacy, the girl he was starting to fall head over heels from Oscorp. And Nya, having a hunch on Spiderman, hmmm... This appears to get interesting now, doesn't it? But we'll have to wait and see what happens next time. Anyway, thank you for enjoying the update, leave a review if you like, have a great weekend and I'll see you all next week. :)
