Chapter 38: Peacekeeper

The council wasnt expexting the sheer amount of force Kuma's fanbase could produce.

What made that girl so special? Why was she so loved by people she didnt even know?

Councilman Nigra sighed and looked up Kuma Scarlet as 'Temptress' and she indeed had a large fanbase. Videos of her were all over. Whether they were simple amateur recordings from a phone of her at school or professional interviews of her, the girl was well known. He clicked on a random video and watched an interview.

"Temptress the fans have sent in questions and they would like it if you could perhaps answer a few." Kuma nodded with a smile and shiftied into the nice love seat on the stage.

-Flashback-

"So this question is from Melody46. She asks; "If your career got even better than this, would you loose yourself?"" Kuma took a deep breath and laughed to herself. "Honestly...its hard to loose yourself when your already lost. Everyone's lost, in some way or another. Maybe I'll get further off the track with my music career or acting career but, you know? It's fun to get out of hand! Cuz' ya never know what's gonna happen next!" The audience cheered and the hostess, Anamaiae, smiled. That's part of the reason why Temptress was so popular. Because she bore her heart out to everyone because she believed people deserved the truth.

"Ok! This one is from 26Brat-talia. He asks; "If its not to personal, may I ask if its hard knowing the fact that your adopted? If you had the oppurtunity would you still be there child but without knowing your not biologically?""

Kuma sucked her teeth and looked uneasy but she answered anyway. "Ya know, it's not as hard as people would think. Maybe because I know who my biological parents are and whats the reason I wasnt raised by them. I think that factor makes it so much easier to bare. But my mom, oh my goodness, I love her to death! You couldnt prove me wrong when I say I would die for my mom she is just the strongest person I know! And Im actually grateful that I was adotpted because its just been amazing feeling her love...oh God Im crying!" Kuma ran the heel of her hand under her eyes and smiled. She looked straight at the camera and yelled "Love you, Mommy!" while the crowd screamed with cheers.

Anamaie felt like crying as well. She remembered reviewing Erza all those years ago and how that love was rushing back one hundred fold. Just the way the mother-daughter show case was still so strong made the woman feel giddy inside.

"Ok one last question before the break?" Kuma nodded and Anamaie pulled out the card. "Oh! This is actually a request. From anonymous it says "If you could please stand up, turn around with your eyes close and count to ten, that would be awesome." Kuma looked confused but said a quick "Alright!" and did as told. While she was counting, Erza, Gray, Lucy and Natsu quietly snuck on stage. Natsu had sat by the piano and Gray at the drums. Lucy had her viola. Erza held two microphones as she waited for her daughter to finish counting.

When Kuma turned and saw her mom aunt and uncles she laughed and gave them a hug.

"Cmon! The actual question is will you sing with me?" Erza asked holding out a mic and Kuma immediately took it. "Of coarse!"

Nigra couldnt stop watching her then. The girl was very talented. Her dedication to Fairy Tail, her family, was un wavering and her love for others was phenomonal. Looking on a popular website that was for her he saw a video called "Demon Hunter 101: Episode 1, Trust Fails" Clicking that he saw it was an actual show. It started off with Kuma walking down the street barefoot heading towards the library with two other girls. They all seperated and the video paused as Kuma went to explaining who they were and unpausing the show. She went on thinking about how she studies ancient and dark magic since there seems to be more mages with those powers popping up lately. About how her mission was simple: To surpass her mother someday and make her proud.

As she was reading, a young man by the name of Cobalt joined her and they both went over what a stigma was. How the old council had wanted to block out that part of history. Nigra's intrest was quickly being drawn in when the chandelier almost crushed the two kids in the end. He saw a link for epispode two and he watched that as well. Cobalt and Kuma defeated some demons and thats where there journey began.

Nigra couldnt believe his eyes. The council had decided to execute her?! She was such a blessing to so many people. His grandson, Shinra, couldnt stop talking about her acting skills. What were they thinking?

Obviously they werent thinking at all.
