Chapter 37: Slime Time

Back at the Beasts HQ, a defeated Jackie was talking with Slade and Shade about what happened.

Jackie groaned and replied, "Damn, that girl knows how to duel!"

Slade then replied, "Lucky, I was able to bring you back before you were in that shadow prison for a long time like the others."

"I Really thank you for that, Slade."

Shade then replied, "You are a very lucky person not be trapped in that damn prison right now. You won't be dueling again anytime soon, I'm afraid."

"Thank god for that. After that pummeling, I want and going to need some rest and find some better cards to make my deck even better then before."

Slade then replied, "Do what you have to, my friend."

She turned around and left the office and she closed the door and then Slade looked at Bulldog then replied, "See any decent cards used by Christina, Bulldog?"

Bulldog then replied, "Just a Synchro given to all members of their group and...Black Rose Dragon."

Slade then repleid, "Damn, another Signer Dragon!"

Shade then replied, "We need to wipe that clean and get those cards for us!"

Slade then replied, "Son, we'll do what we have to do so and make them pay for all the suffering they've given us. We'll get them somehow."

"Lets hope so, dad. Lets hope so. Also, I decided on a different kind of deck. Those cards you gave me are cool and all, but I want to make a more balanced deck."

Slade looked at him and Shade then replied, "Please don't be mad, dad."

"Why would I be mad, son? Its your choice and just store those cards to use in the future."

His son nodded as he and Bulldog left the office and Slade sighed and replied, "You gotta do what ever feels right, I guess.'

Back at their HQ, Carly was talking to Christina and the girls.

Carly then replied, "So you got the wina nd saved the depot as well? Well done."

Christina then replied, "That was one of the hardest duels I ever had and I'm glad I managed to get a win and save the building."

Sebastian then replied, "We're very proud of your win, Christina. You dueled like a true pro and you'll make a awesome Pro someday."

"Thank you, Sebastian. I really want to be ready for when that time comes, so for now I'm just going dueling with my deck and enjoying life."

"That is a true spirit, girl."

That night in his office, Slade was talking to Bulldog and Sledge about everything (Shade went to bed to get over a small migraine).

Slade then replied, "I know who we'll use as our returning shadow duelist."

Bulldog then replied, "I thought we'd be bringing them all back, sir."

"I tried, but we only have enough power to bring back one of them and we chose Strings."

"Decent choice, sir."

Suddenly, a large puddle of blue slime formed and Strings the Silent rose from it a few minutes later with a duel disk on his arm and he looked and replied, "Why...I am...I back?"

Slade then replied, "We need your help to beat some duelists we don't like anymore, my friend."

"Already tried and...that machine duelist won."

Slade then replied, "We'll just have to get you some more cards for your deck, my friend!"

The quiet one only grunted when he heard that and then Slade looked at Sledge and replied, "Get him any card he wants for his deck, Sledge."

Sledge then replied, "Anything for you, Leader Slade."

He looked at Strings and replied, "Follow me."

the silent one nodded as they both left his office and Slade sighed and replied, "I hope this wasen't a mistake to bring this guy back."

Bulldog then replied, "It was a good plan to bring him back, sir. He'll duel and kick some ass."

"I only hope so, Bulldog. I only hope so."

The next morning in the buffet area, Michelle was talking to her parents about everything.

Michelle then replied, "How is everything going so far?"

Carly nodded and replied, "Very good, my dear. We've been dueling a great job with dueling and stuff. I Can't wait until we can head back home after the Savage Beast mess in this timeline is done and over with. I hate those bastards with a vengence."

Sebastian put his arm on her shoulders and he replied, "Everything will be okay, honey. We'll get them and get them good."

Michelle then replied, "Have we found out who killed Christina's mom yet?"

Carly then replied, "We've been working on it since she asked and they'll have a answer in a couple of days. Its not east getting information about this stuff, Michelle. She'll just have to patient until I'm able to get the information she wanted, hon."

Michelle nodded and replied, "I know, I know."

Suddenly, Caitlin ran in and she replied, "Carly, another of the city cops was involved in a duel with a gangster and he lost..and was found in one of the Light Rail trains covered in blue slime and he wants to duel in the Target Center now, sir."

Carly then replied, "Shit, not that guy again."

Sebastian then replied, "Its Strings, isn't it?"

"That is right, honey. He's back again and I wonder who wants to duel him."

Michelle then replied, "I'm out, I'm afraid. Slime monsters really creep me the heck out."

Suddenly, Kelly and the girls walked in and Kelly then replied, "I want to duel him myself. I'm ready for anything he sends my way!"

Sebastian then replied, "I"ll go with them and you stay here, my dear."

Carly nodded and replied, "That sounds good to me. Good luck and good dueling, Kelly."

Kelly nodded as they got up and left and then Michelle then replied, "Lets hope for the best, mom."

Carly then replied, "They'll be just fine, Michelle. Kelly is a excellent duelist and she'll duel that slime guy in circles."

Later that night, they entered the arena (The door was opened and dripping with blue slime and they were in the middle of the whole place.

Christina then replied, "Where is this guy?"

Sebastian looked around and he replied, "Maybe they lead us to a dead end, gang."

Suddenly, a huge puddle of blue slime formed infront of them and then it merged together and formed the former Rare Hunter that Lucas's brother defeated earlier."

Sebastian then replied, "Knew it."

Strings let out a groan and repleid, "Duel..me...now."

Kelly took a step foward and repleid, "You'll be dueling me, ugly."

Strings made another groan and replied, "Fine..with me."

Suddenly, a duel disk appeared on his arm and they both activated their disks and both drew 5 cards.

"Game on!", Kelly yelled out.

(Strings LP: 8000 - Kelly LP: 8000)

Strings drew a card and replied, "I'll begin. Play Foolish Burial."

He took a card from his deck and discarded and then he reshuffled and replied, "Now, set monster facedown and 1 card facedown and that ends my turn now."

Kelly drew a card and replied, "I'll play Foolish Burial as well!"

She took a monster from her deck and discarded to her graveyard and then she replied, "I now summon my Hypnocorn!"

As she sat the card down, the blue-haired ram appeared (ATK: 1,400).

"Since you have a monster facedown and I have no others, I can destroy one of your facedown cards!"

Suddenly, the eyes of the beast fired a beams of light and it shot and vaporized String's facedown Mirror Force.

Sebastian nodded and replied, "Good move, Kelly."

"Now, attack his facedown monster!"

Hypnocorn rushed in and a odd green-skinned with a mouth and no eyes appeared on the card (DEF: 300) and the beast rammed into it and then it shattered into pixels.

Sebastian then repleid, "That was a Skreech monster."

He took 2 of the same card from the graveyard and discarded them and then Strings drew 2 more cards.

"They both must of been Draw Slimes.", Christina said with a sigh.

"Whatever, ugly. I'll set a card and that'll end my turn now."

Strings drew a card and replied, "I put Branch! on the field right now."

The continuous spell card appeared on the field.

"Next, I activate Silent Doom."

Suddenly, Humanoid Slime appeared (DEF: 2,000).

"Discarded it with Foolish Burial. Next, I play Polymerization to fuse my Slime with the Worm Drake in my hand."

The hard-shelled reptile appeared and merged with the slimey creature, the classic fusion he used against Yugi Muto a very long time ago appeared (ATK: 2,200).

"Feel the wrath of my Humanoid Worm Drake, girl."

"Damn, that thing is ugly as hell."

"I haven't normal summoned yet, so I'll set a monster and my Fusion will attack your monster."

It opened its claw and a spray of light-blue slime shot and it quickly dissolved the beast (Kelly LP: 8000 - 7200).

"Set card and its now...your turn now."

Kelly drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and that'll end my turn now."

Strings drew a card and replied, "I..banish 1 water monster to bring out my Aqua Spirit."

As she banished her Humanoid Slime, the watery nymph appeared (ATK: 1,600).

"I...tribute it for my Slime King."

As the watery nymph vanished, a odd-looking monster appeared. It was Revival Jam...but now it had a shield, sword, crown and a cape (ATK; 1,700).

"I attack your facedown card with my Humanoid Worm Drake."

It opened its claw and shot out another burst of blue slime and a Hyena appeared on the card (DEF: 300) And was blown to shards as the attack struck and then 2 more Hyena's appeared (DEF: 300 x2).

"Slime King attacks."

The slimey king swung its sword and a wave of blue energy shot out and cut one of the Hyenas in two.

"Your turn..now."

Kelly drew a card and replied, "I summon my Elephun!"

As he sat the card down, the cute elephant tuner appeared (ATK: 500).

"I now tune my 2 monsters together!"

Elephun let out a squeal as it split into 2 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went right through the last Hyena, which turned into 3 white stars and as this happened, Kelly raised her hands and began to chant:

"Galloping in heavens like thunder, crisscrossing them like a mighty gale, appear forth from the World of Myth and Legend! Synchro Summon! Neigh, Thunder Unicorn!"

As she sat the card down, the beautiful steed appeared (ATK: 2,200).

Christina then replied, "Yea!"

Suddenly, the fusion weakened (ATK: 2,200 - 1,700).

"Attack that big eyesore!"

the Unicorn charged in and pierced the creature in the chest area with her horn and then the fusion splattered all over the arena floor (Strings LP: 8000 - 7500) and the Branch spell card began to glow and then Worm Drake appeared (DEF: 1,500).

"There you go! I'll set a card and its your turn now."

Strings drew a card and then he moaned as she switched his King's postion and then sat another monster facedown and 1 card facedown and then he signaled his turn was over.

Sebastian then replied, "Keep it up, girl."

Kelly drew a card and replied, "I summon my Sunlight Unicorn!"

As she sat the card down, another of the beautiful steeds appeared with a neigh (ATK: 1,800).

"Lets check the top card!"

She flipped it up and it was a Fairy Meteor Crush and she took it and equipped to her Unicorn and then she smiled and replied, "Now we're talking! Sunlight, attack his Slime King!"

The steed charged in and stabbed Slime King the chest and then it collapsed into a puddle of blue slime and then its sword, shield and crown fell to the ground and dissolved into goo as well and then he replied, "When Slime King is destroyed, I Can add any 2 Level 4 or lower Slime monsters from my graveyard to my hand."

He took the two cards and placed both in his hand and then Kelly replied, "Attack his facedown monster!"

The steed charged in and a Mother Grizzly appeared on the card (DEF: 1,200) and the Synchro stabbed with her horn, blasting the bear into triangles (Strings LP: 7500 - 6500) and then Strings let out a moan and replied, "Summon...Fiend Slime Mold."

As he sat the card down, a fiendish creature made completely out of purple slime appeared (ATK: 500).

Christina then replied, "That thing is hideous!"

Sebastian the replied, "This game has its gross and good parts, I guess."

"Whatever. I end my turn now."

Strings drew a card and replied, "Use ability of Fiend Slime Mold. Since its in attack mode, I can..pay 500 lifepoints to special summon another from my deck."

As he began to glow (Strings LP: 6500 - 6000) and then another of the gross slime creatures appeared (ATK; 500) and then he resumed, "Summon..Acid Slime."

As he sat the card down, the x-shaped slime with a red dot in the middle appeared (ATK: 800).

Sebastian then replied, "He has 3 level 3 monsters now."

Christina then replied, "Lets hope it doesn't mean anything right now."

:"I now overlay my 3 level 3 water monsters now."

all 3 slime creatures turned into blue orbs and a portal opened up, which they flew into.

"I Use my 3 monsters to construct the overlay Network and Xyz summon the mighty Slime Snail."

As he sat the card down, a large gooey snail appeared with a slime-covered shell (ATK: 1,400).

Christina then replied, "Looks like some made a remake of that pathetic Bolt Escargot!"

Sebastian then replied, "There've been many Xyz remakes of classic Normal monsters lately."

"I use 1 Xyz Material monster to halve the attack of one monster you control and then my snail gains the amount your monster lost."

As he discarded one of the Field Slime Molds, Thunder Unicorn let out a neigh (ATK: 2,200 - 1,100) - (ATK: 1,400 - 2,500).

"I attack your Synchro with my Worm Drake."

The armored reptile went and jammed its sharp head into the Unicorn and it let out a cry before it burst into a shards of light.

"Slime Snail attacks your monster."

The huge snail opened its mouth and let out a burst of blue slime and it shot out and struck, blasting the Unicorn into pixels (Kelly LP: 6500 - 5500).

"There you go. I end my turn now."

Kelly drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster facedown and 1 card facedown and that'll end my turn now.'

As she did so, the Xyz went back to its normal ATK power (ATK: 2,500 - 1,400).

Strings drew a card and replied, "Tribute Worm Drake for Multiple Slime."

As the reptile vanished, a glob of yellow slime formed and then it turned into a beast-like creature appeared (ATK: 1,500).

"I now equip Slime Snail with Axe of Despair."

Suddenly, the large demon axe equipped to the shell (ATK: 1,400 - 2,400).

"Lets do it. Multiple Slime, attack."

The slime creature and let out a spray of yellow slime and a Giant Rat appeared on the card (DEF: 1,450) and the slimey attack coated the large rodent before it shattered into pieces and then a 2nd one appeared (ATK: 1,400).

"Slime Snail, attack."

The large snail opened its mouth and let out a burst of blue slime and it shot out and blew the 2nd Giant Rat to little pieces (Kelly LP: 5500 - 4500) and then Kelly smiled and replied, "I now special summon my Kalantosa, Mystical Beast of the Forest!"

As she sat the card down, a small creature with leaves on its back appeared (ATK: 200) and then she replied, "When its summoned by a Beast monster, one of your cards is destroyed!"

Suddenly, Slime Snail exploded into globs of blue slime that flew everywhere and then Strings grunted and replied, "Set a card and that'll end my turn now."

Kelly drew a card and replied, "I play Mystical Space Typhoon!"

The storm began and String's facedown Widespread Ruin lifted and shattered to bits.

"Much better now. I banish 1 spell card to summon my Monoceros!"

As she took a Unicorn Beacon card in her hand and banished it, the horse with a long horn in its forehead appeared (ATK: 1,000).

"I now summon my Hyper Rabbit!"

As he sat the card down, a large white rabbit with large ears appeared (ATK: 700).

"I Use my little critters ability to reduce Monoceros level by 1."

Suddenly, Monoceros let out a grunt (LV: 3 - 2).

"I now tune all 3 of my monsters together!"

Hyper Rabbit split into 2 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Kalantosa and Monoceros, which turned into a total of 4 white stars.

"I Synchro Summon...Celestial Wolf, Blue Sirius!"

As she sat the card down,t he 3-headed wolf warrior appeared (ATK: 2,400).

Sebastian then repleid, "Cool Synchro."

"I get my Hyper Rabbit back!"

Suddenly, the cute rabbit appeared (ATK: 700).

"I now attack!"

The dragon let out its huge wave of black flames and it shot and reduced the slimey creature to a cloud of scalding-hot steam (Strings LP: 6500 - 5400) and then 3 slime tokens appeared (DEF: x3).

"My rabbit attacks!"

The rabbit went and give one of the tokens a quick kick, splattering it.

"Your turn now."

Strings drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and 1 card facedown and that is it for now."

Kelly drew a card and replied, "I summon my Genetic Warwolf!"

As he sat the card down, the fercious beast-warrior appeared (ATK: 2,000).

"My Warwolf and rabbit attack your remaining tokens!"

They went in and splattered the last two tokens all over the ground.

"Sirius, attack!"

It opened its mouth and launched its hot flames and a Mother Grizzly appeared (DEF: 1,200) and the flames burnt it to a crisp and then another Acid Slime appeared (ATK: 800).

"Your turn now, I guess."

Strings drew a card and replied, "I Summon my Draw Slime."

As he sat the card down, a creature made of red slime appeared (ATK: 0).

"I now play Polymerization to fuse my 2 creatures together to create Sorcerer Slime and I chain Polymerization to my facedown Spell Reclamation."

As he returned the spell to his hand, the two slime creatures merged together and a odd-looking slime creature appeared. It looked like Slime King..accept it looked like a mage now (ATK: 2,400).

Kelly groaned and replied, "Double ugly."

"Since Draw Slime went back to my graveyard, I draw a card."

He did so and then he replied, "I use its ability to discard 1 card to add a Slime or Jam monster from my graveyard to my hand."

As he discarded his 2nd Draw Slime, he returned his Multiple Slime back to his hand and drew another card and then replied, "I now play Monster Reborn."

Suddenly, Slime King appeared (ATK: 1,700).

"I attack your Rabbit with my King."

The slimey creature swung its sword and a wave of blue energy shot and blew the rabbit to little pieces.

"Sorcerer Slime attacks."

The creature aimed its staff and fired a burst of blue energy and shot out and struck, blowing Warwolf to bits (Kelly LP: 4500 - 2900).

Christina then replied, "Man, thats hard."

Sebastian then replied, "He must of gotten better cards since the last duel he had."

"Now, I set a card and its your move now."

Kelly drew a card and replied, "I"ll set a monster and I'll attack your King."

The beast-warrior shot out its flames and it shot out and the slimey creature exploded into globs of blue slime that flew everywhere and then he returned his Draw Slimes back to his hand (Strings LP: 5400 - 4700).

"I'll set a card and its your move now."

Strings drew a card and replied, "Play..Dark Core."

Kelly groaned and replied, "Damn it!"

As he discarded a Draw Slime, Blue Sirius vanished from sight and then he drew a new card and then replied, "Summon Revival Jam."

As he sat the card down, the more famillar slime creature used by Strings and Yami Marik appeared (ATK: 1,500).

"Revival Jam, attacks."

The creature went and a Nimble Momonga appeared on the card (ATK; 1,500) and then the jam monster sprayed a wave of blue slime onto the squirrel, dissolving it (Kelly LP: 2900 - 3900) and then 1 more facedown monster appeared.

"Set 1 card facedown and its Your turn now."

Kelly drew a card and replied, "I Play my own Monster Reborn!"

Suddenly, Thunder Unicorn appeared (ATK: 2,200).

"I now summon my Vorse Raider!"

As she sat the card down, the dark beast-warrior appeared (ATK: 2,200).

"I now drain your Fusion of 1500 attack!"

Suddenly, it began to glow (ATK: 2,400 - 900).

"Attack!"

The creature went in and stabbed it int he chest area with its horn and like the rest of the slime monsters destroyed in the duel, it splattered all over the arena floor (Strings LP: 4700 - 3200) and then Acid Slime appeared (DEF: 1,000).

"I can't do anything else, so its your turn again."

Strings drew a card and replied, "I tribute Acid Slime to summon Multiple Slime."

As the creature vanished, the yellow slime-like beast appeared (ATK: 1,500).

"Next, I play Fusion Sage to get a Polymerization from my deck to my hand."

He took a card from his deck and placed it in his hand and then he reshuffled and replied, "I now use it to fuse my Revival Jam with Multiple Slime to make Chimera Slime."

As the two creatures merged together, a huge slimey and disgusting creature appeared and it looked like it was from parts of various animals (ATK: 2,400).

Christina then replied, "That thing is gross."

"Attack Thunder Unicorn."

The beast went and sprayed some blue slime all over the Synchro, blowing her into triangles (Kelly LP: 3900 - 3700).

"I activate its ability now. When it destroys a monster, I can banish 1 Slime or Jam monster to inflict damage equal to its current attack."

As he banished her Acid Slime, it let out another spray of slime and it struck her (Kelly LP: 3700 - 1300).

"Your move now."

Kelly drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and 2 cards facedown and that'll end my turn now."

Strings drew a card and replied, "I attack your Vorse Raider."

It opened its mouth and sprayed slime again, blowing Vorse Raider to shards.

"I now banish 1 more monster and the duel now ends."

Kelly quickly replied, "NO! I activate Forbidden Chalice on your Chimera Slime!"

Suddenly, it let out a gurgle (ATK: 2,400 - 2,800) and then he grunted and replied, "I'll set a card and its your move now."

Kelly drew a card and replied, "I play Call of the Haunted!"

Suddenly, Thunder Unicorn appeared (ATK: 2,200).

"I now play Spellbook from the Pot!"

Both drew 3 cards and then he replied, "I now discard my level 2 Mogmole to summon my Egotistical Ape!"

As she discarded the card, tthe shadowy ape appeared (ATK: 1,200 - LV: 5 - 3).

"Next, I summon my other Sunlight Unicorn!"

As she sat the card down, the beautiful beast appeared (ATK: 1,800).

"I now tune my Ape with my Thunder Unicorn!"

The ape let out a screech as it split into 3 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Thunder Unicorn, which turned into 5 white stars. As this was happening, Kelly raised her hands and began to chant.

Galloping in the heavens like thunder, going through the pitch-black sky, this lightning will strike the Earth and incinerate it. Synchro Summon! Shine, Lightning Tricorn!"

As she sat the card down, the gold-skinned beast appeared (ATK: 2,800).

"Lets check the top card of my deck!"

She checked it and she sighed and it was a Axe of Despair and she equipped it to the beast (ATK: 1,800 - 2,800).

Strings grunted and replied, "I play Emergency Provisions to send my Branch! card to the graveyard."

Suddenly, the spell dissolved into particles and they flew into him (Strings LP: 3200 - 4200).

"Attack his monster!"

The unicorn charged in and jabbed its horn into the odd aqua and it exploded into little droplets of blue slime.

"Tricorn, attack him directly!"

The huge beast began to and then it launched a burst of electricity and it shot out and struck the former Rare Hunter (Strings LP: 4200 - 1000).

Sebastian then replied, "Almost there, girl."

"There you go. I End my turn now."

Strings drew a card and replied, "I play Treasured Cards from Heaven."

Both drew until they had 6 cards in their hand and then she replied, "Summon Slimeshaper."

As he sat the card down, a large glob of white slime appeared (ATK: 0).

"I can change its type until the end phase I choose for it to become a Dragon monster."

Suddenly, it formed the shape of a large dragon.

"I now play my 3rd and Final Polymerization to fuse my Dragon Slimeshaper with the Humanoid Slime in my hand to create Slime Dragon."

As the two merged together, a large dragon made of blue slime appeared (ATK: 2,500).

Sebastian then replied, "Wow."

"I now play Rush Recklessly on my Chimera Slime and I'm attacking your Tricorn."

As it began to glow (ATK: 2,500 - 3,200), it opened its mouth and let out a burst of blue slime and it shot out and struck the mighty beast and then the beast shattered into pixels (Kelly LP: 1300 - 900).

"I now use ability to inflict damage equal to the level of your monster. Duel ends for you."

Sebastian then replied, "No..damn way."

The dragon opened its mouth and let out a spray of slime and it shot out and struck her (Kelly LP: 900 - 0).

Christina then replied, "No.."

Strings then replied, "Good dueling...but you now are ours."

Suddenly, slime-like tentacles came out of his stomach and wrapped her up and Kelly looked around and replied, "What the hell is this?"

Strings then replied, "You are my prisoner now."

He looked at the others and replied, "Thats all for me for now, humans."

Suddenly, a portal opened up and the tentacles holding her flung her into the portal and then the Strings and then the tentacles melted and completely vanished from sight.

Suddenly, tears came out of Christina's eyes and she replied, "I'll make that slimey bastard pay!"

Sebastian then replied, "Lets head back."

He began to leave and then Christina sighed and replied, "You and your whole fucking group will pay for doing this to us!"

When this card is destroyed as a result of battle: add 2 Level 4 or lower "Slime" or "Jam" monsters from your graveyard to your hand. The selected monsters cannot be Summoned or Set the turn they were added to your hand.

Note: This card was created by Cyber Commander in his "Shadowchasers: Conspiracy" story and full credit goes to him.

1 "Slime or "Jam" monster + 1 WATER monster

Once per turn: you can discard 1 card from your hand to add 1 "Slime" Or "Jam" card from your graveyard to your hand.
