Chapter 36: Final Fight! The Man With Two Gods!
The glowing bird-shaped mark looms in the sky, directly above Neo Domino City.
From the Satellite. Sakura, Aki, Kakyuu, Minako, Ushio, Hotaru, Lua, Luca, Subaru, Velvet and Jace watch it. "What's happening?" Aki asks. "That's the condor geoglyph." Says Sakura. She's sitting sideways on her D-Wheel, with Grim and Aurora lying down at her feet, while Aki looks over the wound to her side. She's trying to stop the bleeding, but more blood keeps running down.
"Sakura! We brought Jack!" Crow says, calling out.
They turn and look.
Yusei, Crow and Jack ride up on their D-Wheels, their headlights the only illumination in sight, besides the big glowing symbol and the distant lights of the City. "Jack! Yusei! Crow!" Says Sakura. "What's that?" Jack asks. Aki stops tending to Sakura's wound and steps aside to stand next to her, her D-Wheel, Grim and Aurora. Yusei steps off of his D-Wheel and walks over to her, her D-Wheel, Grim, Aurora and Aki. He sits down next to his half-twin. "What happened?" Asks Yusei. Sakura sighs. "It's a long story." Sakura says. Yusei moves the cloth away from the wound, the gash to her side is very deep and quite severe, blood just continues running down from the wound. He covers it back over, putting a little more pressure into it to try and stop the blood flow. "The bleeding's not going to stop on its own. You're going to need stitches, but for now we'll just pack it over with gauze and keep it heavily bandaged up." Says Yusei. "This is all my fault. I let Divine get to me and he wound up attacking you with his psychic powers at full force." Aki says. "No, it isn't. Don't blame yourself for what Divine did, it wouldn't be the first time I was attacked by him, among other things that he did. We all thought he was dead when he fell back at the Arcadia building. I can't imagine what you were going through when you found out he was alive. I didn't really give it too much thought when I went up against him and yes, it cost me a gash to my side. However, you and I both came out of it more or less in one piece. Divine on the other hand, won't be coming back. He's gone for good this time. So, don't put the blame on yourself, Aki." Says Sakura. Yusei's still patching her up. "She's right. We all had to do something today that we really didn't want to do, but it had to be done. We had to duel people that were infected by the darkness and we freed them all. We also saved the innocent people who were trapped in their Earthbound Immortals." Yusei says. He finishes patching Sakura up. "You should be good for now until we can get you stitched up." Says Yusei. Sakura readjusts herself. "Looks like that'll probably have to wait until we take care of this new problem." Jack says. Yusei and Sakura both get up from the latter's D-Wheel. "Jack's right, we still have something to take care of." Says Sakura. Grim and Aurora get up to their feet, standing at either side of her. "So you're Aki Izayoi. It looks like you won your duel, but what's that?" Crow asks. He then looks over at the City.
Just then, the ground starts shaking. Everyone reacts. "Aahh!" Both Lua and Luca scream. Subaru and Velvet cling to Sakura, holding onto a leg each. Grim's fur is standing on edge, while Aurora's fur is fluffed up. Hotaru embraces Yusei around his waist, who wraps his arms around her shoulders and holds her close to himself. Jace is keeping his balance by holding onto Jack's leg, tightly. "An earthquake?" Asks Ushio. "It's..." Yusei says.
Another light show has started, this one in the distance over the buildings of the Satellite. It almost looks like an Aurora Borealis, but with a decidedly purple tint.
"Huh?!" Asks Aki. "What's that?" Jack asks. "What now?" Asks Crow. "That's the direction of the Old Moment." Yusei says. "Did the gates to the underworld open?" Asks Sakura.
The purple lights are coming out of the huge crater in the middle of the Satellite, shades of every color can be seen in the light, but it's mostly purple.
From the depths of the Old Moment bulges a lump of grayish slime, blocking out the lights. Lightning smites the ground around the crater as it keeps swelling up, overflowing the crater and spreading onto the landscape. In the depths of the sludgy figure, burn two round, red blank eyes. It opens a shapeless, cavernous mouth and emits something like a roar. Now it has hands and fingers made of slime, too, as it rises from the crater, it's assuming a form. As it reaches out with the hands, globs of slime about the size of duel runners fly from them and drip onto the Satellite streets. It oozes forward, crawling with its hands as much as anything else, flooding the streets with disgusting, charcoal-colored muck. Its features are more distinct now, slime dribbles from tall, spindly limbs that suggest a skeleton or insect. From a certain angle it even looks like a gigantic slime-tarantula that would send Uru scampering for its mommy. Except for the fact that it then extends two dragon-like wings, also gray and excreting slime. It sets its sights on the bird-shaped mark over the City. The things it sprouts from its 'head' look like horns, or ears, and it extends to its 'neck', the entire thing now resembles a skeletal quadruped, something like a ground-walking dragon, but with heavy armor around its neck and shoulders that recalls an insect and back legs that are unnaturally thin and wispy, they're just for show, and couldn't possibly hold any weight. It is not graceful or built for much of anything, but it is huge, tall, scary and an endless fountain of slime.
The Signers' group watches the thing, their reactions ranging from stunned horror to exceptionally stoic dismay. "Is that really…" Yusei says.
The gray goop continues to drip onto the ground, some splats more approaching the size of cars. The substance looks to be about as viscous as spoiled milk or yogurt. An enormous, clawed foot stomps in the drops' wake and the thing roars again. Its draconic wings seem to have split, giving it two wings on each side, which is more of an insect thing. Its back legs have also shaped up, all of its limbs are thin and spindly at the top, sloping down to tree trunks at the bottom. It takes another step, with every stomp, the ground trembles a bit. It's nearing the water, its focus still rapt upon the mysterious new Dark Signer mark in the sky.
"That black mass is heading towards the lights from the City." Says Luca. "Sakura, Rudger said that the king of the underworld would appear if we failed to seal the four towers." Crow says. "That's the king of the underworld…" Says Sakura. "So it's the end of the world? We're going to be trapped inside the darkness of the underworld?" Ushio asks. "But we're still here! That means we're not completely trapped inside!" Says Minako. "You're right, but…" Lua says. Luca winces, horribly, as her mark lights up. "Luca!" Says Leo. "Oohhh!" Luca says.
Kuribon appears beside her. Luca seems to be in kind of a vision, no telling whether the rest of the group hears her speaking to Kuribon. "Kuribon!" Says Luna. Kuribon moans, sadly, curling its tail around itself.
"Oh no! Kuribon says that we can't let it head towards the light of the condor!" Luca says. "What do you mean?" Asks Yusei.
The first slimy foot splashes into the water between the Satellite and the City, waves flower out from it. Another splash and both front feet are in the water, as it moves ever closer to the City and the mark.
"We can't let it get there!" Luca says, a little hysterically. "But how can we stop something that big?" Asks Lua. Yusei looks out at the thing, he doesn't have an answer and they need one fast. Just as he turns to Sakura, the dragon-shaped sigil burned into her forehead starts glowing, extremely bright, which begins to cause her pain, enough to bring her to her knees and grip at her head, as if suffering a terrible headache. Yusei goes down to one knee, holding her by the shoulders. "What's wrong?" Yusei asks. Sakura's dark-crimson red eyes flicker a couple of times, and then she yelps as both her eyes and the sigil burned into her forehead emit a brief flash. She whimpers, gripping at her head. "It's just like before… during your duel with Jack at the Fortune Cup." Says Sakura. She leans over to rest her head on Yusei's shoulder. He rests his hands on Sakura, looking distraught, and Jack kneels down to one knee beside her, while Aki and Crow watch, with wide eyes. "Is it Crimson Dragon?" Yusei asks. "Not exactly… I can feel another sign… and it's coming from…" Says Sakura. She points in the direction of the condor sign. "Where the mark of the condor is?" Yusei asks. Sakura nods, slightly. "Could it be the sixth Signer?" Asks Jack. "Perhaps." Sakura says. "The sixth Signer is the only one who's not bonded to you." Says Luca. "And if each one of our marks corresponds to a place on your body. Then, the sixth Signer is the head mark." Aki says. "The sixth Signer is trying to usurp Sakura." Says Minako. Everyone, except Sakura, looks over at her. "Minako?" Jack asks. "This Signer wants the Crimson Dragon's powers for himself. And from the way Sakura's body is reacting, he's trying to coerce it out of her." Says Minako. Sakura sits up. Her irises and gradation suddenly start flaring in bright red and fiery red light, respectively, while her scleras fade to black, with glowing red veins across her eyes. "Sis?" Yusei asks. He and Jack help Sakura to her feet. "I feel the sign but it feels… different. I can't feel the Signer's connection that comes with it, like I can with all of yours. Crimson Dragon is angry about this! And so am I!" Says Sakura, her voice menacing and echoic. Suddenly, as soon as she says that, each of their five marks of the dragon light up. "W-whoa!" Jack says. "The mark..." Says Aki. The additional markings and symbolic designs along Sakura's body all start glowing, brightly, and the Seal of the Crimson Dragon follows shortly after. A red stream of light then escapes from within her, making her become weakened and nearly collapses, until Jack catches her and keeps her standing on her feet. "Sakura?" Jack asks. "I'm… alright..." Says Sakura. Her head lolls over into Jack's shoulder.
More lightning crashes from the sky and then the clouds begin to glow red. A familiar vermilion creature, edged in golden light, is winding its way through the heavens.
"That's..." Jack says. "Crimson Dragon." Says Yusei.
Indeed, it is. The Crimson Dragon bells its odd cry, hovering in the air above them among forks of lightning. It turns toward them and lunges forward, as though to snap at them.
A bright flash of light.
Yusei, Sakura, Jack, Crow, their D-Wheels, Hotaru, Aurora, Grim, Luca, Lua, Subaru, Velvet, Jace, Aki, Minako, Kakyuu and Ushio are soaring through an endless void of stars. "Whoa!" Yusei says. "We're inside the Crimson Dragon." Says Aki. "What's it planning to do with us?" Yusei asks.
Ahead, they're flying toward a growing ring of light, like the end of a tunnel.
Another bright flash.
That continues back into the real world and down to the ground. When the tower of light fades, they find themselves standing at the edge of a familiar-looking garden. They're standing on the palatial island on which Godwin's estate is built. But instead of the mansion itself, the Stairway of the Crimson Dragon that was under the house has risen to the surface, demolishing the mansion in the process, and grown way, way taller. The Crimson Dragon then returns to Sakura's body where it belongs.
"What's going on? That's the temple underneath Godwin's mansion!" Jack says. "Is this the source of the light that we saw from Satellite?" Asks Aki.
The condor mark looms directly above the Stair.
"Did we instantly teleport from Satellite to the City?" Lua asks. "It seems so." Says Yusei.
Just then, they hear a familiar, echoing voice from the top of the stair. "I've been waiting for you, Signers. You've defeated the Dark Signers. However, you failed to close the gates to the underworld." Godwin says. He's in his usual nondescript gray suit, but looks somehow even paler.
Everyone tenses, that tone of voice is pretty ominous. "Director?" Asks Lua. "Father?" Kakyuu asks. "Godwin!" Says Jack. Grim's fur is standing on edge, as his blazing red eyes are intensely locked on Godwin, his teeth bared and growling, deeply. Aurora's fur is fuzzed up. "Uncle, tell me! Did we lose? Is this world…" Sakura asks.
"It's coming to an end." Says Godwin.
"What?" Yusei asks.
Godwin looks out across the City at the King of the Netherworld approaching in the distance, it'll have to track straight through Domino to get there. "The king of the underworld is heading this way." Says Godwin.
The beast takes another splashing step.
"Why is the king of the underworld heading this way?" Yusei asks.
"Because this temple is a sacred land for rituals." Says Godwin.
"Rituals?" Sakura asks.
"That's right. In order to perform the ritual, I used the Crimson Dragon to bring you here." Says Godwin. He pulls from behind him the big glowing canister containing Rudger's arm, the mark begins to glow.
And the five Signers' marks pain them. "Ugh!" Sakura, Yusei, Aki, Jack and Luca all say, as one. All five Signers end up falling to their hands and knees. Grim and Aurora, sensing Sakura's distress, move closer to her, brushing themselves up against her. "It hurts!" Says Luca.
"Hmhmhmhmhm!" Godwin laughs.
Still holding at herself, considering all the markings and symbolic designs that run along her body are all lit up and causing her quite a deal of pain, Sakura looks up at it, knowing the Crimson Dragon is not happy with this outcome. "That's the final mark. The dragon head." Sakura says. Jack looks up.
Flashback. Godwin catches a huge, spinning, spiky piece of Bommer's D-Wheel, that crashed through the window of the top box at the Fortune Cup, with only his gloved hand.
Jaeger, 'Sakiko' and Jack watch, in growing bewilderment, as the glove on his hand gets ripped up by the thing, revealing dull metal underneath. Godwin's hand is made of metal. The flashback ends.
Back to the present. The five Signers soon get themselves back up to their feet, ready for a fight. "Is that your arm?" Asks Jack.
"No. This dragon head belongs to my older brother Rudger. To your father, Sakura." Godwin says. He picks up the canister, carries it over and sets it down on one of the two carved stone blocks on either side of the top of the stair.
"Why do you have it?" Asks Sakura.
Godwin seems to laugh a bit under his breath. He turns to show them his back and the violet mark of the condor glows on it.
Everyone gasps. "That mark! You can't be..." Sakura says.
Godwin flexes his muscles and his suit coat bursts, he is now bare-chested, his muscles unnaturally huge, his gray hair wild behind him. Glowing markings begin to appear on his chest and face, his Dark Signer 'dye'. The scleras of Godwin's eyes turn all the way black. "That's right. I became a Dark Signer!" Says Godwin.
"What?" Lua asks. "No way!" Says Kakyuu. "It can't be!" Crow says.
"Mmhmhmhmhmhmhm!" Godwin laughs. He's unclasped and lifted the lid from the glowing canister. Godwin tosses it aside. He lays a hand on his own metal arm and from the looks of the sparks and flying pieces, he crushes it with his bare hand.
"Ah!" Says Aki. "What's he doing?" Yusei asks.
Using his other arm, Godwin reaches into the canister and takes Rudger's arm from inside. "Using Dark Signer powers, I'll make this arm mine." Says Godwin. He holds it in place of the missing arm, where it attaches itself. A light shines at the top of the stair, like a huge star. When it clears, Godwin's holding his right arm out in front of him and the fingers twitch, it worked. "The Crimson Dragon's power is resisting. It will take some time to make this mine." Godwin says.
"Uncle! What are you planning to do?" Asks Sakura.
Godwin now has the sixth and final mark of the dragon glowing on his arm. There's a seam visible above it, as though someone else's arm was hot-glued onto his just below the elbow. "I'm going to become a god! Crimson Dragon and the evil god! By gaining both their powers, I'll become the ultimate god! But, there's only one thing standing in my way. I want the Crimson Dragon's heart of power, its life force." Godwin says.
Sakura glares up at him and clutches close to her heart, she's not scared and is daring him to try and take it from her. Grim and Aurora move to stand in front of her, their teeth bared and both snarling at Godwin, viciously, positioned to protect their mistress. Yusei, Jack and Crow step up, knowing that it's Sakura who possesses it. Godwin will have to go through them if he wants her. They're glaring at him, daring him to so much as try.
"Oh, don't worry, dear Sakura. I can't just simply take it from you, not yet at least. But, I should warn you, becoming one with the Crimson Dragon comes with a price. You can't come out of it unscathed, it not only takes a toll on your body, but also your very life." Says Goodwin.
"What?!" Jack asks, angrily. "No, that can't be true." Says Yusei. "Guys." Sakura says. Jack, Yusei and Crow turn to her. "In case you haven't noticed, I'm not doing so great. Ever since I became one with the Crimson Dragon, it has been taking quite a toll on me. However, I'm not giving this power up to you that easy." Says Sakura.
"I have other ways of coercing it out of you." Godwin says.
A glowing pentagram appears hovering next to him, with an unconscious Usagi strung to it.
"Usagi, no!" Says Kakyuu. She tries to move forward, but she gets stopped by Ushio and Minako. "Let go of me! That's my sister!" Kakyuu says. "There's nothing you can do for her now." Says Minako. "You'll just get in the way." Ushio says.
Godwin lifts Usagi's face, gripping at her chin. "Show me how useful you can be. Prove to me whose daughter you are." Says Godwin. The pentagon restraining Usagi suddenly vanishes and she falls to her knees, before finally opening her eyes. "Bring me the Crimson Dragon's heart of power." Godwin says. "Yes…" Says Usagi, entranced. She gets up to her feet.
Kakyuu manages to slip out of Ushio and Minako's hold. "Kakyuu!" Minako says.
"Usagi! Snap out of it!" Says Kakyuu. She stops, as Sakura snags her by the arm. Kakyuu looks back at her. "Sakura?" Kakyuu asks. "Your voice can't reach her. You may be related to her in this life. However, you weren't originally." Says Sakura. She releases her grip on Kakyuu. "I can't just leave her like this." Kakyuu says. "You can't. Not as the way you are now, anyway." Says Sakura. Kakyuu composes herself. "What do you mean?" Kakyuu asks. "There is only one way to free Usagi from Godwin's grasp." Says Sakura. As she lifts up her hands, a dark orb manifests within them and leaves behind her transformation brooch. Kakyuu gasps, slightly. "You broke your seal." Kakyuu says. "It couldn't be helped. The life of a Sailor Guardian… never truly dies." Says Sakura. Kakyuu's eyes widen, in realization. "And Usagi's… was the purest one of them all." Kakyuu says. Sakura nods, mutely. "However, the moment any of us break our seal…" Says Kakyuu. "I know. The moment Usagi breaks her seal…" Sakura says. She and Kakyuu turn to look at Minako, who notices and steps back a bit, confused. "Another could awaken, break her seal and rush to protect her respective… royal to whom she's sworn her oath to." Says Sakura. Kakyuu smiles, lightly, and turns back to her. "She isn't the only one who has an unawakened Sailor Guardian in the vicinity. You have one, as well." Kakyuu says. "I'm hoping it doesn't come to that." Says Sakura. "I will also aid you with Usagi." Kakyuu says. "Suit yourself." Says Sakura.
"Are you really turning on me, your own father, Kakyuu?!" Godwin asks.
"The man I see before me now, is not the same man I call father." Says Kakyuu. She lifts up her hand into the air. An orange-red box, with a peach osmanthus blossom emblem emblazoned on it, suddenly appears and hovers over her extended hand. Kakyuu then lowers her hand, the box following, as it comes to hover before her and slightly over her hands. She takes a moment and closes her eyes, in concentration. "I dislike fighting. However, in order to save Usagi, I must fight against the evil that possesses my father." Kakyuu thinks to herself. She then opens her eyes and focuses on the box. "Seal that locks away the final piece of my past, discard your contents and allow my truest identity to be revealed! By the remaining power of the fallen planet, Kinmoku! I break your seal! Release!" Kakyuu says. The box soon becomes obscured by a glowing orange sphere, which starts to crackle with electricity. A seal appears around the box, only for it to break as the electrical sphere shatters, as if made of glass or crystal. The box suddenly opens and reveals a golden, star-shaped brooch, with a pair of white wings on either side of it. The box disappears as the device lowers itself into Kakyuu's hands. She looks down at the device, hesitantly. Kakyuu exchanges a look with Sakura, who simply nods. "You can do this, Kakyuu." Says Sakura. "I'm only doing this for Usagi's sake. And for yours, as well." Kakyuu says. She lifts the device into the air. "Kinmoku Star Power, Make Up!" Says Kakyuu. As she goes into her transformation phase, a flash of orange-red and spirals of peach osmanthus blossoms obscure her from view.
Sakura lifts up her own transformation brooch into the air, with resolve. "Galaxy Immortal, Make Up!" Sakura says. As she goes into her transformation phase, glyphs appear and surround her body, swirling around her, enveloping her within midnight blue ribbons, while a current of wind and black feathers suddenly pick up, obscuring her from view.
As the first transformation ends, she hovers a few inches off the ground, outlined in a reddish-orange aura, hair and any loose articles of clothing whipping in an invisible breeze, slightly. Her sailor uniform is unique among Sailor Guardians. Her black fengguan/crown is the same as in her princess form, and the pins in hair also remain. She also has a golden, beaded tiara, with a golden star in the center of it. Her choker is the same as her princess form as well, a light blue ribbon, with a peach-colored osmanthus blossom in the center of it. Her sailor uniform is a deep red, two-piece outfit, consisting of a bikini-like top and a puffy skirt, like her princess skirt, but shorter, which consists of several deep red, translucent petals. Her sailor collar is also deep red and she has puffy, translucent, orange armbands. Her black flats, which curl into a point at the tips, are the same as in her princess form. As the invisible breeze ceases and the aura around her dissipates, her feet touch the ground, with a gentle landing, and she opens her eyes, looking over her Sailor Guardian form.
As the second transformation ends, Sailor Galaxy hovers a few inches off the ground, outlined in a midnight blue aura, hair and any loose articles of clothing whipping in an invisible breeze, slightly. As the invisible breeze ceases and the aura around her dissipates, her feet touch the ground, with a gentle landing, and she opens her now slightly slanted red eyes, her piercing gaze on Godwin.
As she went through her transformation, Grim and Aurora's appearances also changed, the former with his hellhound-like look and the latter with her kitsune-like appearance.
"Never thought I'd be in the presence of two resurrected Sailor Guardians. I feel quite honored, actually." Says Godwin.
"Then you should know that a Sailor Guardian prides herself." Sailor Kakyuu says. Sailor Galaxy holds out her hand, a glyph appears and splits in two, until a scythe is hovering beside her. "And targeting one of us, let alone two of us, doesn't usually bode well." Says Sailor Galaxy. She grips the Galactic Flare Scythe, holding it similarly to a staff.
"Sailor Kakyuu, Kinmoku's Star Guardian. And Sailor Galaxy, the Guardian of Judgment. The two princesses of the Sailor Starlights and the Outer Sailor Guardians, respectively. However, I have one of my own. Do it, my little rabbit. Break your seal." Godwin says. "Yes…" Says Usagi, entranced. She lifts up her hand into the air. "I call upon my loyal and faithful advisors… Luna and Artemis… Come to me now..." Usagi says, entranced.
Two capsule-like containers appear at either side of her, bathed in a bright glow. As the glow dims, the contents are revealed as a pair of cats.
"Are those… cats?" Asks Crow. "Yes. They were advisors to Queen Serenity when she ruled the Moon Kingdom. And now, they're the advisors to her heiress, Princess Serenity, Usagi's original life." Sailor Galaxy says. "In a way, Luna and Artemis are to Princess Serenity as Grim and Aurora are to Princess Galaxia. The pairs serve as protectors, companions and advisors to their respective royals." Says Sailor Kakyuu. "The only difference is that Luna and Artemis originally came from the planet Mau before coming into Queen Serenity's service, while Grim and Aurora are my familiar and my guardian spirit, manifested from the dark and light sides of my soul, and therefore never served Queen Galatea, the original ruler of the galaxy." Sailor Galaxy says. "No, but she did have her own familiar, while the Sun King had his own guardian spirit. And since you're the heiress of both King Sol, the Sun King, and Queen Galatea, the sole ruler of the galaxy, it would make sense how you received both a familiar and a guardian spirit." Says Sailor Kakyuu. "Don't tell me you're jealous of not receiving your own familiar." Sailor Galaxy says, sarcastically. "Of course not. Even though I was her first-born, I wasn't born to be her heiress. I was born as my father's heiress. To ascend the Kinmoku throne. You, on the other hand, were born to be her heiress. To ascend the throne of the galaxy. However, due to the circumstances, you became the heiress of the Sun Kingdom's throne." Says Sailor Kakyuu. "Actually, I'm the heiress to both thrones. I have a familiar and a guardian spirit, after all." Sailor Galaxy says. "Wait! You two are…" Says Aki. "Sisters?" Luca asks. "Originally, yes. We were maternal half-sisters." Says Sailor Galaxy. "Only for us to be resurrected as paternal cousins in this life." Sailor Kakyuu says.
The golden crescent moons on Luna and Artemis' foreheads start glowing in bright yellow.
"She's using them for their power." Says Sailor Kakyuu.
A white box, with a golden crescent moon emblem emblazoned on it, suddenly appears and hovers over Usagi's extended hand. She then lowers her hand, the box following, as it comes to hover before her and slightly over her hands. Usagi takes a moment and closes her eyes, uncertain.
"Usagi, please don't do this." Sailor Kakyuu says.
"What are you waiting for? Do it." Says Godwin. Usagi opens her eyes and focuses on the box. "Seal that locks away the final piece of my past, discard your contents and allow my truest identity to be revealed! By the power of the Moon! I break your seal! Release!" Usagi says. The box soon becomes obscured by a glowing pink sphere, which starts to crackle with electricity. A seal appears around the box, only for it to break as the electrical sphere shatters, as if made of glass or crystal. The box suddenly opens and reveals a yellow heart compact, with a small crescent moon accent at the bottom, and set around the central heart and moon are five jewel details, pink at the top, blue and red on the right, and green and orange on the left side. Three gold dots accent each wing, and a gold sphere accents the top. The box disappears as the device lowers itself into her hands. Usagi looks down at the device, entranced. "Go on." Godwin says. Usagi lifts the device into the air. "Moon Eternal, Make Up!" Says Usagi, entranced.
The compact appears and its lid opens, revealing the crystal inside. She brushes her hand past the crystal and it emits a bright pink light. Feathers swirl through the air, as golden light coalesces to form the crescent moon on her forehead and wings appear on her back. She spreads her arms, as her wings and sailor fuku, which consists of a white leotard, with short, pink, bubble-like sleeves, with a red band at the end, a golden heart, with a crescent moon at the bottom and four, white angel wings coming out of it, in place of a chest bow, and a dark blue, sailor collar, with three golden stripes, appears. Then more feathers collect to form her long, opera-length, white gloves, with a red, v-shaped border around her wrists, along with a golden crescent moon in the center of the v, and a red border at the ends of them, with white wing details. She turns around and, in another swirl of feathers, the rest of her sailor uniform, a pair of white-bordered, red circular hairpieces, one in each odango, a pair of white, wing-shaped barrettes, a pair of golden, crescent moon earrings, with a golden star at the bottom of each one, a red choker, with a dark yellowish-orange heart and a golden crescent moon under it, a three layered skirt, the top layer is yellow, the middle layer is red and the bottom layer is dark blue, the skirt is attached to the leotard by a red, v-shaped border at her waist, with a golden crescent moon in the center of the v, two very long, thin, red ribbons trailing down from it, and white, knee-high, heeled boots, with red, v-shaped borders and a golden crescent moon in the center of the v on them, materializes. She spins once more and her wings become smaller, into a huge set of angel wings in place of a waist bow, attached to the back of her skirt, and she assumes her finishing pose.
As the transformation ends, she hovers a few inches off the ground, outlined in pink aura, hair and any loose articles of clothing whipping in an invisible breeze, slightly.
"I was hoping it wasn't going to come to this." Sailor Kakyuu says. "I don't like this, either. However, the only way to get her out of Godwin's reach is to fight her long enough for her to come to her senses." Says Sailor Galaxy.
As the invisible breeze ceases and aura around her dissipates, her feet touch the ground, with a gentle landing, and she opens her eyes, still very much entranced. "I take it no introductions are needed for you two. However, for the ones who don't know. Introduce yourself." Godwin says. "I am the Pretty Guardian, who fights for Love and Justice. I am Sailor Moon. And now in the name of the Moon, I'll punish you." Sailor Moon reaches for her head, as if overcome with a sudden headache. She soon drops to her knees, clutching at either side of her head, she's trying to fight off Godwin's trance.
"Did her catchphrase just snap her out of it?" Asks Sailor Kakyuu. "No. However, she is starting to unravel out of Godwin's hold on her. Sailor Moon is the Guardian of Mystery, after all." Sailor Galaxy says.
Sailor Moon lowers her hands from her head and looks down at them, tears shimmering down her cheeks. Godwin grips at her wrist and pulls her up to her feet. "If you're not going to fight, then you're useless to me." Says Godwin.
"How cruel! She's your daughter!" Sailor Kakyuu says. "He only saw her as a tool to get what he wanted. He's been doing the same with me for the last two years." Says Sailor Galaxy. "What?!" Sailor Kakyuu asks. "He knew who we were in our past lives, and about Silver Millennium. He may very well know who each and every Sailor Guardian's current identity is." Says Sailor Galaxy.
Sailor Moon is walking down the stairs toward her and Sailor Kakyuu, still very much entranced.
"Sailor Moon." Sailor Kakyuu says.
Sailor Moon reaches the end of the flight of stairs, standing opposite of her and Sailor Galaxy.
She moves to position the Galactic Flare Scythe in front of her, getting on the defensive. Sailor Kakyuu notices this and grips at Sailor Galaxy's arms, slightly. "Don't. The moment you swing that scythe…" Says Sailor Kakyuu. Sailor Galaxy closes her eyes. "You want her freed from Godwin's control, don't you?" Sailor Galaxy asks. "Of course…" Says Sailor Kakyuu. "Then this is the only way to do it." Sailor Galaxy says.
Sailor Moon lifts up her hand. "Sailor Guardian, whom follows under me, awaken and fight beside me once more…" Says Sailor Moon, entranced.
Minako gasps and her body jolts, as if she just received an electric shock. "Minako?" Ushio asks, worriedly.
"I command you… break your seal…" Says Sailor Moon, entranced.
Minako's body suddenly pulsates and her eyes go blank, as the planetary symbol of Venus appears on her forehead, glowing in bright orange. "Yes…" Minako says, entranced. She lifts up her hand into the air. A white box, with an orange Venus symbol emblazoned on it, suddenly appears and hovers over Minako's extended hand. She then lowers her hand, the box following, as it comes to hover before her and slightly over her hands. Minako closes her eyes, in concentration. "Seal that locks away the final piece of my past, discard your contents and allow my truest identity to be revealed! By the power of Venus! I break your seal! Release!" Says Minako. The box soon becomes obscured by a glowing yellow-orange sphere, which starts to crackle with electricity. A seal appears around the box, only for it to break as the electrical sphere shatters, as if made of glass or crystal. The box suddenly opens and reveals a transformation rod with an orange, crystal orb, with a Venus symbol and a chain of many leaves and a few roses connected to it, that attaches to the top, with a golden star on top, a pink handle, with gold lining, and two, light orange wings at the top. The box disappears as the device lowers itself into Minako's hands. She looks at the rod, entranced, and lifts it into the air. "Venus Crystal Power, Make Up!" Minako says.
As the transformation begins, she holds up the Crystal Change Rod and her fingernails turn yellow-orange, as the orange crystal orb connects to it. She then lifts the Rod into the air, as long banners of golden stars emit from it and swirl around her body, eventually forming a spiral. The stars sink to the ground, but then rush upward again, completely covering her body. She still retains her simple red bow in this form. Her sailor fuku consists of a white leotard, with an orange skirt, attached to the leotard by a puffy, v-shaped, white border at the waist, a blue chest bow, with a heart-shaped, orange brooch in the center of it, and a yellow waist bow, that's attached to the back of her skirt. Her sailor collar is orange, with a single white stripe on it, and her shoulder pads have three layers, with the last pad being more wing-like and translucent. Her elbow-length gloves are white, with three orange elbow fittings, and her ankle-strap, heeled shoes are orange. Her accessories consist of a gold tiara, with an orange gem in the center, her earrings are orange studs, and an orange choker, with a yellow star in the center of it. She brushes her hair out of her face as she moves into her final pose.
As the transformation ends, she hovers a few inches off the ground, outlined in a yellow-orange aura, hair and any loose articles of clothing whipping in an invisible breeze, slightly.
"Minako?" Asks Luca. "What happened to her?" Ushio asks.
"Upon Sailor Moon's demands, she has broken her seal and reawakened as a Sailor Guardian, her truest self." Says Sailor Kakyuu. "And now, she'll stop at nothing in order to protect her." Sailor Galaxy says.
As the invisible breeze ceases and the aura around her dissipates, her feet touch the ground, with a gentle landing, and she opens her eyes, entranced. Without a break in step, she leaps and lands in a type of crouch before Sailor Moon, her head bowed. "My allegiance… lies with you…" She then stands up and turns to face Sailor Kakyuu and Sailor Galaxy, standing opposite of them. "I am the Pretty Guardian, who fights for Love and for Beauty! I am Sailor Venus. In the name of Venus, I'll punish you with the power of love!"
"This whole time… Minako was…" Says Ushio. "A reincarnate, just like Sakura." Aki says. "And Godwin knew, just like how he knew we were Signers." Says Jack. "And it was through Sakura how he came into the knowledge of both." Yusei says. Crow's sneering. "How dare he exploit her like that." Says Crow. "Poor Sakura… And Minako…" Luca says. "Usagi and Kakyuu, too." Says Lua.
Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus step up, while Sailor Kakyuu and Sailor Galaxy move into the defensive.
Suddenly, Sailor Moon and Sailor Galaxy seem to pulsate and almost simultaneously drop to their knees, grasping at their respective bust, above their hearts.
"Sailor Moon!" Sailor Venus says. She goes down to a knee, gripping at her shoulders.
"Sailor Galaxy!" Says Sailor Kakyuu. She attempts to touch her, only for her to wave her off. "It's nothing to be concerned about." Sailor Galaxy says. She bares the crescent moon-shaped scar just above her left breast, which is glowing and pulsating.
In response, Sailor Moon bares a sun-shaped scar, centered with a diamond-shaped one, just above her own left breast, which glows and pulsates in sync with Sailor Galaxy's.
"The irreversible binding spell cast by Queen Serenity." Says Sailor Kakyuu. "Yes." Sailor Galaxy says. She gets back up to her feet, using her scythe as a type of clutch. "She and I are bound by it even now." Says Sailor Galaxy.
Sailor Venus stands up. "Venus Love Me Chain!" Sailor Venus says. She sends a chain/light-based attack, the chain's links of which are shaped like golden glowing hearts, at Sailor Galaxy and Sailor Kakyuu.
The latter steps forward, getting in front of the former. "Kinmoku Fusion Tempest!" Says Sailor Kakyuu. A flurry of osmanthus blossoms picks up and blocks Sailor Venus' attack.
Sailor Moon gets up to her feet, extending out her hands as the Eternal Tiare, a white rod, with a bit of red in the middle, that has white circles with a royal yellow and red crown on top of a red sphere, and around the sphere is a gold ring and below it is red, wing-shaped decorations, appears within her hands.
"I wouldn't try it if I were you, Sailor Moon." Sailor Galaxy says. She positions her Galactic Flare Scythe at the ready, with the blade pointing in Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus' direction.
"I don't want to hurt you, but I don't have a choice. I must do as he says." Says Sailor Moon, entranced.
"That's not true. You do have a choice. You're the purest Sailor Guardian among us. It was always your hope that shined the brightest, even in the darkest of times." Sailor Kakyuu says.
Sailor Moon is trembling slightly, she's beginning to waver. "I… I don't know what to do…" Says Sailor Moon, with tears stinging at the edges of her eyes.
"Your power was never meant to hurt, only to heal." Sailor Galaxy says. She lowers her scythe. "Being a child of the moon, the sole heiress of Queen Serenity, you would never wish harm on anyone. Your heart was always pure and it still is now. And I know…" Says Sailor Galaxy. She places a hand to the hidden crescent moon-shaped scar just above her left breast. "Because part of it resides in me. Just as part of mine lies within you." Sailor Galaxy says.
Sailor Moon lowers the Eternal Tiare, just as her and Sailor Venus' eyes return to normal, they've been freed from Godwin's trance. "Sailor Galaxy…" Says Sailor Moon. With tears in her eyes, she runs to Sailor Galaxy and falls to her knees before her, hugging her around the waist. She just holds Sailor Moon to her, slightly. "And still a crybaby." Sailor Galaxy says.
The transformations of the four Sailor Guardians soon break, returning them to their normal everyday appearance and clothed in their usual attire.
"Both of my daughters turned against me. How disappointing." Says Godwin.
Kakyuu, now hugging Usagi close and kneeling down next to her, looks up at him, with tears stinging at the corners of her eyes.
"So be it. Then I guess, I'm just going to have to take care of you myself." Godwin says. He raises his Signed right arm and the tower grows even higher, more and more, wider and wider steps of the pyramid bursting from the earth.
"Ohh." Says both Subaru and Velvet. "Everyone, run away!" Jack says.
The rest of the island of Godwin's mansion is quickly turning into a pyramid, as he now looms over the whole city, higher and higher, laughing, evilly, all the while of course. Finally it stops growing.
The Signers' group has moved to the freeway that leads to Godwin's mansion, nothing of the island remains.
The ground in front of his feet glows and an altar rises out of the stone in front of him. The altar has ten rectangles on it and next sprouts a little device on the right-hand side with a slot that's just the right size for a deck. Yes, it's a dueling console. "Let's begin the ritual to welcome the king of the underworld! The ceremony will be a Riding Duel on the condor geoglyph. I'll completely crush the Signers, siphon the Crimson Dragon and its powers from its Host, and sacrifice you to the king of the underworld!" Says Godwin.
Yusei, Sakura, Jack and Crow are already on their D-Wheels, ready to ride. "Godwin, why?" Yusei asks. "You're the one who asked for Yusei's help to defeat the Dark Signers!" Says Crow.
"What will you do? The king of the underworld will arrive soon." Godwin says. On the last word, he seems to transform into a shadowy condor for a split second.
"Godwin! If we win this duel, what will happen to the king of the underworld?" Asks Yusei.
"It will vanish. But I won't let that happen because I'm god!" Godwin says.
Sakura's irises and gradated half of her hair start flaring, in bright red, to match the glowing markings and designs along her body, while her scleras fade to black, with glowing red veins appearing across her eyes. "I accept this duel!" Says Sakura. She looks down at Grim and Aurora, who are looking up at her. "Grim, shadow phase! Aurora, stay with Hotaru!" Sakura thinks to herself, speaking telepathically to Grim and Aurora. The former shifts his stance and bursts into a black shadowy mist, he's disappeared, while the latter sprints over to Hotaru.
"Godwin, I'll defeat you!" Jack says. "I'm also fighting! I'm not a Signer, but I'll do anything for the kids in Satellite! This may be reckless, but it'll be just like when the legendary D-Wheeler flew!" Says Crow.
Flashback. The Stranger, who built the Daedalus bridge, zooms off the end of it and soars away into the sun. The flashback ends.
Back to the present. Godwin clenches his teeth in a nasty smile, when he realizes what Crow's talking about.
"Let's battle, Godwin! We four will stop the king of the underworld's resurrection!" Yusei says.
The others hear their engines starting to ignite. "Yusei! Sakura! Jack! Crow!" Says Lua. "Do your best!" Luca says. "We're counting on you!" Says Ushio. "Master Atlas!" Minako says. "Sakura…" Says Aki. "Sakura. Yusei. Please, be safe." Hotaru thinks to herself, worriedly. She starts fidgeting with the hem of her skirt, nervously.
Above, the condor sign is rotating around its axis.
"It's a special four-on-one duel. You will each start with four thousand life points. I'll have four times that amount for sixteen thousand life points. None of us can attack on the first turn. Do you have any objections?" Godwin asks.
The condor crest keeps rotating and an edge of it is now close to Yusei, Sakura, Jack and Crow.
Godwin puts his deck into the slot of the automatic shuffler on his altar and it auto-shuffles.
The outlines of the mark start flickering with purple fire.
"Nope!" Says Crow. "This is our…" Jack says. "Final battle!" Says both Sakura and Yusei, in almost perfect unison.
They get a riding start and leap into the air, landing on the shining path of the condor mark. Yusei and Sakura in front and Crow and Jack flanking, the four D-Wheels sail toward danger.
All five duelists shout together... "Duel!"
Yusei, Sakura, Crow and Jack race along the endless road of fire, the mark of the condor, each one starting with 4000 life points.
"The field will be 'Speed World'." Godwin says.
Crow rides out in front, while Yusei, Sakura and Jack hang back. "Crow the Bullet will go first! My turn!" Crow draws. "Here I go! I summon the Tuner Monster Blackwing-Mistral the Silver Shield!" Says Crow.
Blackwing-Mistral the Silver Shield has 100 attack points and is a Level 2 monster.
A glimpse of Crow's hand. Two traps, an effect monster, a speed spell and another monster that might be effect or not. "When a Blackwing is on my field, I can Special Summon this from my hand! I Special Summon Blackwing-Bora the Spear!" Crow says.
Blackwing-Bora the Spear has 1700 attack points and is a Level 4 monster.
"I set one card and end my turn!" Says Crow. He drifts back and lets Jack take the lead.
"It's my turn!" Jack says. He draws. "I summon Mad Archfiend!" Says Jack.
Mad Archfiend has 1800 attack points and is a Level 4 monster.
"I set one card and end my turn!" Jack says.
He drifts back to ride alongside Crow and Yusei, and Sakura takes the stage. "My turn!" Says Sakura. She draws. "Uncle, why did you become a Dark Signer?" Sakura asks.
"Seventeen years ago, my brother Rudger, your father, released the power of the old Moment." Says Goodwin.
Vision/flashback. Visuals accompany Godwin's words. The big glowing canister, and the Godwin brothers, seventeen years younger, on either side. "Right before that, he gave me his left arm, the dragon head." Godwin says, in voice-over.
Images flash. Craters in the ground, the five original Earthbound Immortals and the Crimson Dragon.
The mark of the spider and the mark of the dragon's head land on each of younger Rudger's arms, spider right, Signer left. The darkness afflicts him like a disease, covering his arm with purple-mottled skin, expanding up his shoulder and neck, onto his face, as he strains with sheer will to keep it at bay. As it branches onto his cheek, slowly, Rudger's scleras turn black, his skin grows darker and symbols appear on his face. "Every five thousand years, Crimson Dragon battles against the evil god. When it started again seventeen years ago, they chose my brother's body as the battleground. Two marks entered my brother's body, one for the Dark Signers and the other for the Signers. And it was through his act with a certain woman, your mother, that would lead Crimson Dragon to seek out its more suitable vessel, which then led to the Dark Signer mark to try and take control of my brother. As soon as you were conceived and chosen as Crimson Dragon's Host, the Dark Signer's power engulfed your father. My brother cut off his left arm that had the mark of the Signer. He gave it to me so that the final battle would be left up to destiny." Says Godwin, in voice-over.
Minutes before Zero Reverse, Rex finds his brother sitting at a console.
Rudger tosses the glowing canister behind him, letting it roll toward him. "Rex! One day, people known as Signers will appear. And one of these Signers, a female, will be chosen as the host body for the Crimson Dragon. No matter how many years it takes, gather them and defeat me!" Rudger says.
"What are you talking about, brother?" Asks Rex.
Rudger turns, looking slightly deranged, hounded. "Do as I say, Rex!" Rudger says.
"Huh?" Asks Rex.
"Two gods are inside my body. But I select the evil god's path. Take this and escape while I still have my sanity!" Rudger says.
Change flashback. Rudger smashes right through the protective glass and pounds the big red button on the Moment's console. "Then he released the power of the old Moment." Says Godwin, in voice-over.
Vision. Sakura, Yusei, Jack, Aki and Luca stand against a black background, casting white shadows. "I followed our brotherly destiny. I gathered the Signers and went to see my brother." Godwin says, in voice-over.
Another flashback. Godwin faces Rudger across the lair of the Dark Signers. This is the confrontation that happened shortly before Sakura defeated him. "I came to a conclusion after seeing beyond the depths of destiny." Says Godwin, in voice-over. Rudger activates his Dark Signer duel disk and Godwin activates the duel disk built into his metal arm. Interrupt flashback.
Back to the present. Sakura, Yusei, Crow and Jack are listening, closely.
"I lost against my brother." Godwin says. He opens his black-filled eyes, seeing a moment they cannot.
Continue flashback. Godwin's cards scatter to the floor and he sinks to his knees, defeated. Smoke wafts from his built-in duel disk, as his life points fall from 1200 to 0. "Ugh!" Says Godwin.
Rudger walks over to him, his eyes filled with worry, though still dark. He frowns down at the cards left scattered on the ground, 'Mirror Force', 'Solemn Judgment' and 'Divine Wrath', then at Godwin. "You lost on purpose! Why?" Rudger asks, accusingly. Godwin kneels there, a bit listless. Rudger grabs him by the shoulders. "So that I can become you, brother." Says Godwin. "What do you mean?" Rudger asks. Godwin smiles, wanly, very weak. "Brother, you can't defeat your beloved daughter. After all, this whole time you've been trying to keep her safe. Isn't that why you gave up your rights to Professor Fudo? Rudger, I know you loved Keiko, and you'd have done anything to make her happy. Let's face it, the moment you saw Sakura after being separated from her for so long, you saw so much of the woman you loved in her. In other words, your love for Keiko was what made you weak in the first place. And the way you feel for Sakura, is your weakness now." Says Rex. "Rex, what are you saying? I fell in love with Keiko, and Sakura is my daughter. You had a wife once and you have two daughters of your own, Kakyuu and Usagi. Surely, you know how it feels to be in love and to experience unconditional fatherly love." Rudger says. "We can't change our destiny. Five thousand years from now, there will be others who will have to carry the same burden as us. The gods will use them, and their battle will harm the land and cover it in blood. I mean, look at what it's already done to your precious daughter and how much she's suffered because of it. However, I will sever this chain!" Says Godwin. "How?" Rudger asks. Godwin stares up at him, his eyes slightly inhuman with intensity. "I'm going to do what you couldn't. What you left for destiny to decide. I'm going to overcome destiny by becoming a god!" Says Godwin. "What?" Rudger asks. Godwin slumps backward, growing even more intense and manic even as he can no longer hold his head up. He looks up at the ceiling, seeing a bright light. "As I face death, I have a wish. You gave me the mark of the Signer. That left arm is mine, and I'll have two gods inside me, just like you!" Says Godwin. "Rex…" Rudger says.
In the bright light Godwin sees, a silhouette wings toward him, a bird so dark that even the white light does not touch its feathers. Its eyes are glowing red. It flaps its wings to land, as Godwin stares at it, rapt and unblinking. "I'll also become a Dark Signer." Says Godwin. Black feathers begin to drift down over his face, darker than night. The flashback ends.
Back to the present. "I'll become a god and finish the battle between the Crimson Dragon and the evil god. With the power of the king of the underworld, I will destroy this world. And once I siphon the Crimson Dragon from you, Sakura, and its heart of power becomes mine, I'll use its power to resurrect the world. I will create the world!" Godwin says.
"Enough with your foolishness, Godwin!" Says Yusei.
"Why do the Satellite kids and Martha have to disappear when they haven't done anything wrong?" Crow asks.
"Jack Atlas won't listen to your fantasies!"
"You're making a mistake! The power of the gods won't defeat destiny! We win by fighting and battling together!" Says Sakura.
"Haha! What keeps you going in a battle?" Godwin asks.
"Our bond of friendship and family!" Says Sakura.
The four duelists are resolute.
Ushio, Minako, Kakyuu, Usagi, Luca and Lua watch, nervously. Aki, Hotaru, Jace, Subaru and Velvet's eyes glow with that same resolve, as well.
The four D-Wheels zoom around a corner. They're zigzagging their way along the condor's tail.
"I summon Sonic Boom!" Sakura says.
Sonic Boom has 2000 attack points and is a Level 4 monster. She is a black griffin, with a metal headpiece and matching cuffs around her ankles.
"I set one card and end my turn!" Says Sakura. She then pulls back to the side, now Yusei's up.
"My turn!" Yusei says. He draws. "I summon Max Warrior!" Says Yusei.
Max Warrior has 1800 attack points and is a Level 4 monster.
"I set one card and end my turn!" Yusei says.
"I'll show you the two gods! My turn!" Says Godwin. He draws. "If there are monsters on your field but none on mine, I can Special Summon Oracle of the Sun." Godwin says.
Oracle of the Sun has 1000 attack points and is a Level 5 monster.
"Then I summon the Tuner Monster Fire Ant Ascator!" Says Godwin.
Fire Ant Ascator has 700 attack points and is a Level 3 monster.
"A Tuner Monster!" Crow says.
"It's coming!" Says Jack.
"Hm!" Yusei says.
"Level Three Fire Ant Ascator tunes Level Five Oracle of the Sun! When the sun rises, all darkness is illuminated! Rain down light! Synchro Summon! Come, Sun Dragon Inti!" Says Godwin.
Sun Dragon Inti has 3000 attack points and is a Level 8 monster. This monster is a big, golden, glowing sun disk, with four red and orange dragons waving out from its sides.
"Is that his ace monster?" Sakura thinks to herself.
"By removing the Tuner Monster Fire Ant Ascator in my graveyard from play, I Special Summon Weeping Idol." Godwin says.
Weeping Idol has 0 attack points and is a Level 2 monster.
"Then I lower my life points by one thousand to Special Summon the Dark Tuner Dark Goddess Witaka from my hand." Says Godwin. His life points are lowered to 15000.
Dark Goddess Witaka has 0 attack points and is a Level 3 monster.
"I activate Dark Goddess Witaka's effect! The Level of this card can be the same as the Level of a Synchro Monster on the field. Sun Dragon Inti is Level Eight. Therefore, Dark Goddess Witaka's Level also becomes eight! Level Eight Dark Goddess Witaka dark tunes Level Two Weeping Idol! When the moon fills the darkness, the evil roar emanates! Invite them to death! Dark Synchro! Come, Moon Dragon Quilla!" Godwin says.
Moon Dragon Quilla has 2500 attack points and is a Level -6 monster. It looks just like the sun dragon, except its face is the moon, with blue and purple dragons.
Godwin throws down a pair of face downs. "I set two cards and end my turn. Due to Moon Dragon Quilla's effect, it's destroyed at the End Phase." Says Godwin.
A little cloud appears and the Moon Dragon sets behind it, vanishing from sight.
"For such a grandiose entrance, it's already leaving. I don't care about gods or destiny. I'm going to soar above it all, just like the legendary D-Wheeler!" Crow says.
Godwin looks as though he's chuckling over something that he knows and he doesn't. "But that cost him his left arm." Says Godwin.
"What's he talking about?" Crow thinks to himself. "My turn!" Crow says. He draws. "I activate the Speed Spell 'Tune Up 123'! I roll a die, and Mistral the Silver Shield's Level increases depending on the number I roll!" Says Crow. His D-Wheel console shows a die spinning and a chart next to it. A result of 1 or 2 results in 1, a roll of 3 or 4 results in 2, and a roll of 5 or 6 results in 3. Crow rolled a 2, so he gets to increase his Blackwing Mistral's Level by one, making it Level 3. "Mistral the Silver Shield's Level increases by one! Mistral the Silver Shield tunes Bora the Spear! Black wind, turn into wings that rise to the heavens! Synchro Summon! Blackwing Armor Master!" Crow says.
Blackwing Armor Master has 2500 attack points and is a Level 7 monster.
"When a Blackwing is face up on my field, I can summon this monster without releasing another monster! I Normal Summon Level Five Blackwing-Elphin the Raven!" Says Crow.
Blackwing-Elphin the Raven has 2200 attack points.
"Armor Master attacks Sun Dragon Inti! Black Hurricane!" Crow says.
"You're attacking with a monster with fewer attack points?" Asks Godwin.
"Hrrr." Crow says.
Two of Inti's dragon heads whip around and grab Blackwing's wings in their teeth. The sun shines brighter, scorching Armor Master at point blank range with a flaming corridor of fire. But when it dissipates, Armor Master is unharmed, facing it across a battlefield of sky.
"Armor Master can't be destroyed in battle, and battle damage also becomes zero! Armor Master puts a Wedge Counter in the monster that it attacked! By removing the wedge, your monster's attack and defense points become zero this turn!" Says Crow.
This is exactly what happened to Inti, Armor Master stuck a small thorn into the sun disk when it struck and the sun is cracking down the middle.
"Elphin the Raven attacks Sun Dragon Inti!" Crow says.
Elphin swoops up and scratches the sun across the face in a big X.
Godwin's life points now stand at 12800. "Hmhmhmhmhmhm. You can't oppose the sun, much less a god. The legendary D-Wheeler learned that lesson when he lost his left arm." Says Godwin.
"What's he talking about?" Crow asks.
"Can it be?" Asks Yusei.
"Is he the legendary D-Wheeler?" Sakura asks.
"What?" Asks Jack.
"There's no way that's true!" Crow says.
"The monster that destroyed Sun Dragon Inti is also destroyed, and you take damage equal to its attack points." Says Godwin.
A blue lightning bolt strikes straight from the top of the stair to Crow on his D-Wheel. "Aaaaaaa-aaaaaaaa-aaaaaaa-aaaaaaahh!" Crow's life points are struck down to 1800.
A blue-white dragon head peeks above a cloud that has formed on the other end of Godwin's field.
"When Sun Dragon Inti is destroyed, I can Special Summon Moon Dragon Quilla from my graveyard." Godwin says.
Moon Dragon Quilla has 2000 defense points and is a Level -6 monster.
"The legendary D-Wheeler learned that it's impossible to oppose destiny. That's because humans are mediocre and pathetic. In order to change destiny, you must surpass humanity and become a god! Only then can miracles occur!" Says Godwin.
"I'll never believe that! I won't let you dishonor our important legend!" Crow says.
Godwin holds up his mark of the dragon. "Hmhmhmhmhmhmhmhm!"
"Ah!" Says Sakura. She looks up at Godwin, then down at her mark, as it flares brighter.
Then the other four Signers' marks vanish from their arms.
"What?" Yusei asks.
"What's this?" Asks Jack.
"The mark…" Aki says. "Vanished." Says Luca.
Suddenly, the additional markings and symbolic designs, along with the Seal of the Crimson Dragon, that run along Sakura's body start glowing even brighter. Then out of nowhere, the Crimson Dragon's heart of power appears from within her, and this time she's not the one doing it. The Seal of the Crimson Dragon, along with the symbolic designs and additional markings that are infused along her body, all suddenly vanish, while her irises and gradation go dim, her scleras shift back to white and the glowing red veins disperse from across her eyes.
The Crimson Dragon's heart of power then flashes away and goes through Godwin's chest. The six marks combine together and the Seal of the Crimson Dragon appears on his chest, while the additional markings and symbolic designs that were just recently etched into Sakura's flesh have now taken form on him. "Hahahahahaha!"
"What just happened?" Crow asks.
"Godwin has all the marks. He siphoned the Crimson Dragon's heart of power from me into himself." Says Sakura.
With the mark of the condor lighting up his back, the Seal of the Crimson Dragon shining on his chest, and the additional markings and symbolic designs burning along his body, Godwin's laughing evilly. "Hahahahahahahaha! Ahahahahahahaha! I'm the ultimate god!" Godwin says.
