A/N: Hey guys! I know it's been a while since I posted a new story, but I'm getting back into them now I promise! Thank you so much for the reviews and support as I reach 50 stories, woo hoo! So this one is for Cirinde Palantir who gave me a few prompts to include in a story about Nick, Warrick and Greg. So, I hope you like this lil' bit of friendship and humour XD

Summary – Greg, Nick, and Warrick are on a break. Trouble soon ensues. (Fluffy Friendship)

Break Time

Greg walked into the break room after hours of work, craving his next cup of coffee. He was surprised by the sound of screeching cars and gunfire, as Nick and Warrick sat before the TV screen, staring at it intensely and frantically pressing at buttons on some game controllers.

"What are you guys doing?" Greg asked, as he walked in and blocked the screen. He was answered with a chorus of "Hey, whoa, move!" from the men before him. The young lab tech rolled his eyes and went over to get his coffee. "Don't you guys gave work to be doing?" he asked the two CSI's.

"Do you?" Nick countered, not taking his eyes off the screen.

"I guess" Greg admitted with a frown, but then shook his head. "But I've been working, have you guys just been sat here playing games all night?!"

"Hey, you're not exactly one to be judging us for goofing off" Warrick pointed out, and Greg found he couldn't exactly argue with this.

"Well…then let me play" the young man requested, trying to snatch the controller off Warrick.

"No!" the CSI exclaimed pulling away "You're way too young for this"

"I'm twenty four!" Greg retorted, but pouted like a sulkily child anyway.

"Yeah, but we're older" Nick reminded "And, acting as your metaphorical big brother's we really shouldn't let you be subdued to such graphic violence. We're doing you a favour"

"I work in a crime lab!" Greg retorted incredulously "I'm subdued to it all the time!"

Warrick seemed to consider this for a moment "Touché" he replied, and handed the controller to Greg. He took it excitedly and became engrossed in the game.

"We got any decent food in here?" Nick asked, as he paused the game after a while.

"I'll go look" Warrick said, and started rummaging in the cupboards.

"I saw some cops but a box of donuts in that cupboard there" Greg said, pointing.

"Oh yeah, because that doesn't conform to stereotypes" Warrick said sarcastically as he retrieved the box.

"I don't think we should eat those" Nick said apprehensively. Warrick and Greg gave him a look "Dude, they carry guns!" the Texan retorted as if it were obvious.

"Nick, they're not gonna kill us for eating their donuts" Greg said flatly.

"But how do you know that?" Nick countered "Come on, we have seen people killed over less..."

"True…" Warrick said, walking over with the box and sitting down "But it's a risk I'm willing to take. I'm starving man!"

"We'll replace them" Greg said reassuringly as he helped himself to the sugared treats. "Crime tastes so good! I think I get it now…"

"Tell me about it! Once, I got caught shoplifting a packet of cigarettes and a bottle of Vodka, but man, the thrill!" Warrick said, eating a donut too.

"Really?" Nick said taking one for himself "I wouldn't have dared. My parents would have probably burnt me at the stake"

"I got done for joy riding once" Gre suddenly dropped in, and Nick and Warrick gave him a disbelieving look. "It's true! I took my Grandfather's car when I was 13, stupid old bat who lived next door ratted me out…"

"Well, if it isn't the meeting of the lab gossips" a smug voice suddenly broke the air, as David Hodges entered the room. He raised an eyebrow at the 3 men sat on the floor eating, and the still image of the game still blazing on the screen. "I see you've had a productive day"

"We're on a break" Warrick said casually.

"Yes well, there's taking a break and then there's being lazy" Hodges said snidely "Some of us have been busting our asses all day to get stuff done, to ya know, help people like we are paid to do" he walked over to coffee machine and missed Greg giving him a rather rude hand gesture, which Nick tapped him on the arm for to stop him from getting in trouble.

"What we do during our break time is none of your business" Warrick said with narrowed eyes.

"Well how can you take a break if you haven't even been working, Sanders?" It was known that Hodges had issues with Greg for unknown reasons.

Nick was immediately at the younger man's defence when he saw the comment clearly upset Greg "That was way out of line! Take that back and apologise!"

"It's okay, Nick" Greg said quietly. Nick gave the young man a worried frown and place a hand on his back in comfort.

"I'm sorry" Hodges said, although the sincerity was unclear "But at the moment, you're not exactly doing anything to prove me wrong" and with that, he left the room.

"What a stuck up..!" Warrick said angrily, he mumbled the rest. "You okay, Greg?"

"Yeah" Greg said "At least, I will be, once we have our revenge" he said with lopsided smile, which Nick and Warrick returned.

"Hey, Hodges" Greg said with a sweet smile on his face as he entered the Trace lab.

Hodges gave him a look and raised his eyebrow "What do you want, Sanders?" he asked suspiciously.

Greg pretended to look hurt "Why can I not come and talk to you without needing something?"

Hodges sighed in exasperation and crossed his arms "Cut the crap, Sanders, what is you want from me?"

"Okay, okay you got me!" Greg said raising his hands defensively. "David has gone to collect some more bodies from this big crime scene, so he asked if I could move the one's he's brought back already out of the way whilst he's gone. Could you help me?"

"Y-you want me to go down to autopsy?" Hodges asked nervously.

Greg cocked his head a little to show he didn't understand "You have been down to autopsy before, haven't you, Hodges?" He asked innocently, although the corners of his mouth were beginning to twitch up. "I mean, you're always telling Mandy how brave you are…"

"I am!" Hodges snapped "Erm… I mean…" he placed his hands in the pocket of his lab coat and attempted to appear more composed "Of course I've been to autopsy before"

"Good!" Greg said brightly "You can come help me then" he said, taking hold of the lab tech's sleeve and dragging him from the room before Hodges even had chance to protest.

The pair walked down in silence. Greg seemed to have a certain bound to his step which unnerved Hodges even more, and in turn Greg noticed that Hodges shoulders seemed a little tense as his eyes a little wide.

When they reached the autopsy room, Greg held the door open for Hodges, but the lab tech seemed a little hesitant. With a look of reassurance, Greg switched all the lights on and Hodges shuffled his way inside, clearly uncomfortable.

There were two bodies on different trollies, each with a white sheet pulled all the way up. Greg bounced forward whilst Hodges hung back a little.

"You know, earlier tonight, David told me he could have sworn he heard someone knocking behind those doors" Greg said, indicating to the storage units were the bodies were placed after their autopsy "I just told him it was this place finally going to his head. I mean… dead people don't make noises, right?" he said with a smile.

"N-no" Hodges stuttered. He cleared his throat "No" he said more firmly.

"I told you about my sixth sense, right?" Greg asked as his stood between the two bodies. Hodges shook his head "Well, my Grandmother was a psychic. She could see the future, communicate with the dead, stuff like that" Greg explained "She thinks I have her gifts" he placed his hands on either of the cold metal slabs.

Hodges scoffed in disbelief "Sanders, that's so…" he paused, when he noticed Greg's body go tense, and his eyes closed as his head dropped forward. "Sanders?" Hodges asked with a tone of apprehension, but the young man did not reply, he just remained still, mumbling words to himself which Hodges didn't understand. "Come on Greg, this isn't funny" the trace tech pressed, although he sounded nervous as he cautiously began to edge forward.

"Stop!" Greg suddenly snapped, and Hodges jumped, before remaining frozen. "Why are you doing this to us?" Greg whispered, still appearing to be in his trance. "Why do you keep us here? Let us be free, let out spirits be free!"

"Greg, snap out of it!" Hodges commanded, convinced Greg was messing around with him. But still, the young man continued his whispers of despair…

"If you do not let us go, then we will fight, we will fight for our freedom" Greg whispered. Hodges jumped, when the knocking Greg had described earlier starting coming from nearby, and it would not cease. "And we will come; we will come for those who stand in our way." The DNA tech snapped his head up and looked at Hodges with narrowed eyes "Run now!" he yelled "We're coming! We're coming!"

Suddenly, the bodies on the tables sat up abruptly and Hodges let out an undignified scream.

Greg burst out laughing and the petrified Trace teach couldn't understand why. Hodges just stood with is eyes wide and mouth slightly agape.

"My, my, Hodges" a voice said from beneath one of the sheets. Greg pulled it off to reveal Nick "We are looking pale" The Texan grinned.

"Yeah" the voice under the other sheet agreed, revealed to be Warrick "I'm surprised you didn't faint."

"What…how…" Hodges stammered for a moment before collecting his thoughts and stamping his foot in frustration "You total assholes!" he exclaimed.

"Oh come on, that was a good one!" Greg said light heartedly.

"A good one?!" Hodges said incredulously "I could've…!" not knowing what to say, he simply scowled at the 3 men before storming out of the room.

"You think maybe we were a little too mean?" Nick asked.

"Nah, that'll teach him for being so self-righteous all the time" Warrick said dismissively "Nice acting, G" he said with a smile, giving the younger man a high-five.

"Yes, very impressive all of you…" A fourth man responded. The three friends winced at the thought of what they knew was to come, as they turned to see Grissom stood by the doorway.

"Oh…erm, hey Boss" Nick said nervously, himself and Warrick quickly jumping down from the tables. They joined Greg in the middle of the room and all 3 men stood with hands behind their backs and the most ashamed looks they could muster, like 3 schoolboys in trouble with the principle.

"Run out of work to do, did we?" Grissom asked raising an eyebrow.

"It was Greg's idea" Warrick mumbled.

Greg looked at him offended "Snitch!" he hissed.

"It was all of us" Nick spoke up, not willing to let Greg take all of the blame.

"Well, I would appreciate you not teaching Hodges a lesson on company time" Grissom said "and I have a new case for you, and Greg, some evidence for you to process. Now, get a move on" he said holding out the piece of paper for Nick to take, as he and Warrick walked by. "And Greg…" the supervisor spoke just as the young man passed him.

Greg gulped "Yes, sir?" This is it, he's not gunna let me be a CSI anymore…or worse…he's gunna take my coffee away…

However, much to Greg's surprise, the corner of Grissom's mouth twitched up ever so slightly "It was a good one" the supervisor said, and he left, leaving Greg feeling awfully confused.

Maybe this place does really get to your head…

I know that I made Hodges a bit of a douche, but I intended it to be set when he and Greg seemed to have a bit of a rivalry going on XD

It's Morganders next, you know it! ;)

I have an awesome pile of prompts now, but I'm always looking for more!

Please Review :) xx
