Chapter 45: Japanese Folklore

Back at the HQ in the past, Shade and Slade were talking about everything and Slade was upset as well.
He sighed and replied, "So, we just lost Hendricks and we have no way of getting anymore spies for us?"
"That is the truth, dad."
"Damn it. Hendricks was a good duelist and a great spy."
Shade then replied, "Damn right he was."
Slade then replied, "We need to get ready for when those punks arrive to come for us."
His son nodde dand replied, "So true, dad. We need to prepare for anything those Fighters send our way."
Shade then replied, "We have no other choice in the manner, son."

The next morning outside of the casino, Carol was in a duel against a Beast (named Ryan) that was about to enter, but was caught by James and Carol before he could do anything to mess anything up. The girls were watching and Carol had a Samurai of the Ice Barrier (ATK: 1,800) and a Water Spirit (ATK: 1,600) and no cards facedown and the bandit had a Dark Blade (ATK: 1,800) and a Pernumbral Soldier Lady (ATK: 2,100) and it was his turn. They mad a bet before the duel started. If Carol won, Ryan had to reveal the entrance to the HQ and if he won, she would have to do some stuff that for her that would make anyone nervous and uneasy.
(Ryan LP: 5000 - Carol LP: 6400).
Ryan drew a card and replied, "I tribute both of my monsters to bring out my Crescent Moon Queen!"
As the two monsters dissloved into particles, a mighty warrior with two large blades for weapons appeared (ATK: 2,600).
"Attack them both!"
The warrior swung his blade they struck, blasting both of Carol monsters into little fragments (Carol LP: 6400 - 4600).
Ryan smiled and replied, "She has to wait to attack again, but this fine with me. Your turn now."
Carol drew a card and he quickly replied, "I activate Final Attack Orders!"
Suddenly, the mighty warrior stood up (ATK; 2,600).
"Whatever. I'll set a card and 1 monster facedown and thats my turn now."
Ryan drew a card and replied, "I summon Don Zaloog!"
As he sat the card down, the leader of the Scorpion gang appeared (ATK: 1,400).
"Attack!"
The warrior went in and a Blizzed, Defender of the Ice Barrier appeared on the card (DEF: 500) and was sliced in two with one stike and she drew a card and then Carol quickly replied, "I activate Call of the Haunted to bring back the General Gantala of the Ice Barrier I had to discard with your first Don Zaloog!"
Suddenly, the mighty general appeared (ATK: 2,700).
Ryan then replied, "Damn it. I end my turn now."
Carol drew a card and replied, "I play Magic Triangle of the Ice Barrier!"
She turned a 2nd Samurai, Numbing Grub of the Ice Barrier and a General Grunard of the Ice Barrier in her hand and she smiled and replied, "Now, one of your cards is destroyed!"
Suddenly, Crescent Moon Queen exploded into pixels.
"Now, I can special summon a Ice Barrier from my hand!"
Suddenly, General Grunard appeared (ATK: 2,800).
"Next, I'll summon my Samurai!"
Suddenly, another of the Samurai's appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"I will now play Double Summon to tribute him for General Raiho of the Ice Barrier!"
As the Samurai raised his hand into the air and vanished, the mighty bald general appeared (ATK: 2,100).
"Lets battle. Raiho, attack!"
He went and gave Don Zaloog a hard punch, blowing him to pieces.
"Finish him off!"
The remaining two went and knocked him down with their attacks (Ryan LP: 5000 - 0).
James smiled and replied, "Great win, my dear."
Carly walked up to him and tied him up with a rope and she replied, "Tell us where the entrance is or you'll be feeling alot of pain from James for making that awful wager with her!"
Ryan then replied, "The entrance is hidden in that out diner that shut down due to shootings years ago."
Carly then replied, "Was one your members responsible for the killings and robbings?"
Ryan then replied, "That was Shade's best friend Wally and Shade is Slade's son."
Carly then replied, "Are either of them responsible for the death of Valarie Michaelson?"
Ryan then replied, "No. Our bosses don't even know who killed her. We want to know so we can turn him in ourselves!"
They all gave the thug puzzled looks and Ryan then replied, "We did banish Wally for all of the crap he did and he doing that before commiting suicide was the final straw. I wish we knew who did it."
They all looked at Carly and she sighed and replied, "He's telling us the truth, guys. They hated him as much as they hate us right now."
Suddenly, Ryan vanished with the rope and she replied, "Lets go tonight and if we don't do this tonight, we'll never get another chance!"
Sebastian then replied, "I want first crack at the duelist. I'm sick of these bastards and I'm ready to duel, my dear."
Carly then replied, "Sounds good. Lead them to victory and to wipe them out for good!"
They all nodded to him as they began to leave.

Later that night, they were outside of the broken down cafe.
Sebastian sighed and replied, "Here we go."
Suddenly, Jackie walked out of the cafe and she sighed and replied, "You guys again!"
Christina then replied, "We meet again, bitch!"
Jackie then replied, "What the fuck do you guys want with us now?"
Sebastian then replied, "We're entering your stupid HQ, like it or not!"
Jackie then replied, "Not until you have a duel with myself, you foolish old man!"
Sebastian smiled and replied, "Not a problem."
Suddenly, he began to glow and he was now covered into glittering white armor with a sword and a duel disk was connected to his left arm!
Ginny then replied, "That is really cool."
Jackie then replied, "Are you here just to show of or actually duel?"
Sebastian then replied, "You're dueling me, bitch!"
Jackie then replied, "Fine with me. You win, you're in and if you lose, you all get fucking lost!"
They activated their duel disks and both drew 5 cards apiece.
"Game on!", both yelled out.

Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster facedown and that'll end m yturn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I Summon the mighty Sky Hunter!"
As she sat the card down, the former Harpie's Brother appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Attack!"
The birdman went in and a large black crow with somesort of weapon appeared on the card (DEF: 1,200) and he struck with its talons and it burst into a cloud of black feathers.
"Whatever you say. I end my turn now."
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "Gozuki, come forth!"
As he sat the card down, a beastly zombie with a large hammer appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"I use his ability to discard a zombie from my deck to the graveyard.
He did so and then he replied, "I now play Rush Recklessly! Attack her Hunter!"
The zombie went and slammed his hammer into the winged-beast and it exploded into a burst of brown feathers (Jackie LP: 8000 - 7400).
He smiled and replied, "There you go. I end my turn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and 1 card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I now summon my Mezuki!"
As he sat the card down, a horse-headed zombie with a axe for a weapon appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"Lets do it. Gozuki, attack!"
the zombie went and a Flying Kamakari #1 appeared on the card (DEF: 900) and was smashed to pieces when the hammer struck it and then a 2nd one appeared (ATK: 1,400) and then Mezuki went and cut the large bug in two clean pieces (Jackie LP: 7400 - 7100) and as they dissolved into light, a Mist Valley Baby Roc flew onto the field (ATK: 400).
"Okay..then. I End my turn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I summon my Mist Valley Watcher!"
As she sat the card down, a odd-like man with bird-like parts appeared (ATK: 1,500).
"I now tune my 2 monsters together!"
Mist Valley Baby Roc split into 2 white stars which turned into green rings and the rings went through Watcher, which turned into 4 white stars.
"I Synchro Summon...Mist Valley Storm Hawk!"
As she sat the card down, a large hawk flew into the field and it had grey and light-green feathers appeared (ATK: 2,200).
Christina then replied, "I think she got more monsters since our last duel."
"Damn right did and this guy can attack twice. Attack both of those zombies!"
As the hawk let out a screech, its wings began and lighting bolts shot out and smashed both of his monsters to little pieces (Sebastian LP: 8000 - 7000).
Jackie smiled and replied, "There you go. I End my turn now."
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and 1 card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I summon my Sonic Duck!"
As she sat the card down, the cute duck appeared with a quack (ATK: 1,700).
"Since I have another monster, Storm Hawk can only attack twice. Attack his facedown monster!"
The mighty hawk flapped its wings again and a small umbrella with a single appeared on the card (DEF: 0) and the lightning incinerated it quickly and Sebastian then replied, "When Karakasa is destroyed in battle, I can special summon any number of them from my graveyard!"
Suddenly, two more facedown monsters appeared.
"Duck, attack!"
The duck flew in and another Karakasa appeared on the card on the card (DEF: 0) before it pecked it to pieces.
"I end my turn now."
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I now banish Mezuki to bring out my Crow Tengu from my graveyard you destroyed during your first turn!"
Suddenly, the evil crow appeared (ATK: 1,400).
"Now since it was special summoned, one of your monsters is destroyed!"
The hawk let out a screech before it exploded into green feathers that flew everywhere and and she replied, "When its destroyed by a card effect, I can special summon any Level 4 or lower Mist Valley monster from my graveyard to my side of field and it can't be a tuner either."
Suddenly, Mist Valley Watcher appeared (DEF: 1,900).
"Whatever you say. Next, I summon my Yuki-Onna!"
Suddenly, a ghostly woman appeared (ATK: 1,000).
"I now flip my facedown Karakasa up!"
As she flipped the card up, the other odd-looking zombie appeared (ATK: 800).
"I now tune my 3 monsters together!"
Yuki-Onna split into 2 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Karakasa and Crow Tengu, which turned into a total of 6 stars.
"I Synchro Summon..Blue Ogre!"
As he sat the card down, a large blue-skinned ogre holding a kanabo for a weapon appeared (ATK: 2,750).
Christina nodded and replied, "He's using a Yokai deck. Quite clever."
Ginny then replied, "A little challenging to use, but worth it in the end."
"Now, I'll attack your Sonic Duck!"
The warrior went in and smashed the duck to pieces with its weapon (Jackie LP: 7100 - 6050) and then he smiled and replied, "Now you take damage equal to your monsters level times 200."
She let out a small moan of pain (Jackie LP: 6050 - 5450).
"Your turn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and 1 card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I summon the mighty Onagakokuba!"
As he sat the card down, a demon-like horse appeared (ATK: 1,400).
"I Discard 1 Zombie monster to give him a boost!"
Suddenly, it let out a grunt (ATK: 1,400 - 1,900).
"Blue Ogre, attack!"
The mighty zombie went in and Jackie quickly replied, "I activate Fiendish Chain!"
Suddenly, the trap flipped up and chains shot out and wrapped the zombie up tight.
"Attack his facedown monster!"
The demon-like horse let out a hot burst of flames and a small bird appeared on the card (DEF: 700) before the hot flames reduced it to ashes.
"Your turn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I tribute my watcher for my Swift Birdman Joe!"
As the they vanished, a handsome birdman appeared with wings and talons appeared (ATK: 2,300).
"I banish the Mist Valley Robin you destroyed last turn to give my monster 600 attack!"
As she banished the card, Joe let out a laugh (ATK: 2,300 - 2,900).
"Attack!"
The birdman flew in and quick slash the Yokai monster across the chest with its taloned hand and then it let out a groan before it exploded into shards (Sebastian LP: 7000 - 6850).
Jackie smiled and replied, "There you go. I End my turn now."
Sebastian drew a card adn replied, "I'll switch my monster to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and 1 card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I activate the field spell Divine Wind of Mist Valley!"
As she slid the card into the slot and it closed and she pressed the button on it and the field spell appeared.
"I now summon my Mist Valley Thunderbird!"
As she sat the card down, the small bird of thunder appeared (ATK: 1,100).
"I return it to my hand to special summon my Mist Condor!"
As Thunderbird vanished, Mist Condor appeared (ATK: 1,400 - 1,700).
"I use its ability to bring out my Mist Valley Falcon!"
As she sat the card down, the mighty warrior of Mist Valley appeared (ATK: 2,000).
"Next, I'll special summon my Thundebird back to my hand!"
Suddenly, the small bird of thunder appeared (ATK: 1,100).
"Next, I'll play Synchro Boost on my Thunderbird!"
Suddenly, it began to glow (ATK: 1,100 - 1,600 - LV: 3 - 4).
"I now overlay my 3 monsters!"
All 4 monsters turned into light-green orbs and a portal, which it flew into.
"I use these monsters to build the overlay Network and Xyz Summon! Appear Valley Phoenix!"
As she sat the card down, a beautiful green-feathered phoenix appeared with a screech (ATK: 2,300).
Christina then replied, "She must of gotten some good cards from the beasts."
"Damn right I did, twerp!"
Sebastian quickly replied, "I activate Dust Tornado to finish your field spell!"
As he activated the trap, a dust storm began and ripped the field spell card apart and he sighed and replied, "Whatever. I now remove 1 Xyz Material monster to switch the postions of all faceup monsters you control and they lose 600 points depending on their new postions."
As she took the Mist Valley Thunderbird and discarded it, The horse demon let out a neigh of pain (ATK: 1,900 - 1,300)
"Attack!"
the phoenix let out a huge burst of green flames and they shot out and struck, reducing the horse demon to a steaming pile of ash (Sebastian LP: 6850 - 5850).
"Joe, attack!"
The birdman went and a small crane appeared on the card (DEF: 800) and was slashed to pieces when the birdman struck with its talons.
"Your turn now."
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I activate Foolish Burial."
He took a monster and discarded it to his graveyard and then he reshuffled and replied, "I pay 1000 lifepoints to activate Ghostly Reinforcements!"
He began to glow (Sebastian LP: 5850 - 4850) and then he replied, "Now, I can special summon 2 Zombie monsters from my graveyard!"
Suddenly, Crow Tengu (ATK: 1,400) and Onmoraki appeared (ATK: 1,200).
"With my Onmaraki, I draw a card and you know what happens with Crow Tengu!"
He drew a card and then the Phoenix let out a cry before it exploded into a burst of green feathers.
"I now tribute my 2 monsters to special summon my Nine-Tail Fox from my graveyard!"
As the two Yokai vanished, a large fox with 9 beautiful tails appeared (ATK: 2,200).
"Next, I summon my Tanuki Spirit!"
As he sat the card down, a small raccoon-like dog appeared (ATK: 500).
"I now equip it to my Nine-Tail Fox!"
Suddenly, the small creature hopped on top of the fox (ATK: 2,200 - 2,700).
"Attack!"
The fox-like zombie opened its mouth and let out a burst of hot flames and it shot out and incenerated the birdman (Jackie LP: 6050 - 5650).
"When a monster equipped with Tanuki Spirit destroys a monster in battle, you discard the top card!"
She took the top card (Which was a Mist Valley Soldier) and discarded it to the graveyard.
"There you go. I end my turn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and its your turn now."
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I summon my Shutendoji."
As he sat the card down, a beastly ogre appeared (ATK: 1,500).
"Fox, attack!"
The fox let out another burst of flames and a Storm Shooter appeared on the card (DEF: 800) before the flames reduced it to a hot pile of ash and she took the top card of her deck (Which was a RIsing Air Current) and discarded it.
"Your turn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I banish 1 Wind monster to bring out Silpheed!"
As she banished her Storm Shooter, the windy fairy appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"I now summon my 2nd Shaman!"
As she sat the card down, another of the winged-beast like women appeared (ATK; 1,200).
"Next, I play Double Summon for my Shield Wing!"
As she sat the card down, a odd bird-like creature appeared (ATK: 0).
"I now tune all 3 of my monsters together!"
Shaman split into 3 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Shield Wing and Silpheed, which turned into a total of 6 stars.
"I Synchro Summon..Mist Wurm!"
As he sat the card down, a large centipede-like creature appeared (ATK: 2,500).
Christina groaned and replied, "Damn it."
"Now, you have to return all of your monsters to your hand!"
He returned them both to his hand and Tanuki Spirit fell to the ground and shattered to bits as well.
"Attack him directly!"
The huge centipede charged in and slammed into him, knocking him to the ground (Sebastian LP: 4850 - 2350).
Jackie laughed and replied, "Almost have you beat! I end my turn now."
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I play Pot of Avarice!"
He took his Crow Tengu, all 3 of his Karakasas and his Gozuki and shuffled them into his deck and drew 2 new cards and replied, "I'll set a card and its your turn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I summon my Slate Warrior!"
As he sat the card down, the blue-headed fiend appeared (ATK: 1,900).
"Attack!"
Slate Warrior went in and another Karakasa on the card (DEF: 0) and the fiend punched it and it shattered to bits and then 2 more facedown cards appeared on his side of the field
"Mist Wurm, attack!"
It opened its mouth and launched a wave of chilling mist and another Karakasa appeared before the mist froze it up and then it simply fell apart and Sebestian smiled and replied, "Since you destroyed two of my Zombie monsters, I can special summon my Raiji!"
As he sat the card down, a large white wolf appeared with a howl (ATK; 2,600).
Jackie then replied, "Damn you! I end my turn now."
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I summon my Zombie Master!"
As she sat the card down, the undead wizard appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"I'll discard 1 card to bring back Yuki-Onna!"
As he discarded a Book of Life to his graveyard, the zombie tuner-like woman appeared (ATK;1,000).
"I won't use her ability, but I'll tune her with Zombie Master!"
She let out a evil laugh as she split into 2 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Zombie Master, which turned into 4 white stars as well.
"I Synchro Summon..Okami!"
As he sat the card down, a beautiful wolf with snow-white fur appeared with a shield attached to its back (ATK: 2,350).
Kelly then replied, "Beautiful."
"I use its ability to banish 2 Zombie monsters to give all of my Zombie monsters 550 ATK apiece!"
As he took 2 of his Karakasa and banished them, Both Yokai wolves began to glow (ATK: 2,600 - 3,150) - (ATK: 2,350 - 2,900).
"Lets do it. Okama, attack!"
The wolf let out a howl before a beam of pure light came out and shot out and it vaporized Slate Warrior (ATK: 2,900 - 2,400).
"Now, attack her Mist Wurm!"
The other wolf let out howl as a burst of lighting bolts came out of its mouth and the bolts shot and struck the Synchro and it thrashed around pain before exploding into shards (Jackie LP: 5650 - 4200).
Sebastian smiled and replied, "Take that! I end my turn now."
Both wolves stats went back to normal (ATK: 2,400 - 1,850 (ATK: 3,150 - 2,600).
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and and that'll end my turn now."
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I'll set a card and I'll attack with Okami!"
The wolf launched its beam of pure energy and a Morphing Jar appeared on the card (DEF: 600) and was was smashed up when the beam struck it and both discarded their current hands and drew 5 cards apiece and Sebastian then replied, "Attack directly!"
The wolf went in and bit Jackie on her arm (Jackie LP: 4200 - 1600).
The wolf howled and went back to her side of the field.
"Whatever you say. I end my turn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "I play Monster Reborn!"
Suddenly, Mist Valley Shaman appeared (ATK: 1,200).
"Next, I summon my 2nd Watcher!"
As she sat the card down, a 2nd of the odd-looking spellcasters appeared (ATK: 1,500).
"I now play Level Mirroring to make the level of your Okami the same as my Watcher!"
Suddenly, he began to glow (LV: 4 - 6).
"I now tune my 2 monsters together!"
Shaman split into 3 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went though Mist Valley Watcher, which turned into a total of 6 white stars.
"I Synchro Summon..Cloudcastle!"
As she sat the card down, the same HUGE floating castle used by James in his duel against Rudy appeared (ATK: 0).
Christina then replied, "What is she up?"
Kelly then replied, "Don't know myself."
"I use its ability to special summon a level 9 monster from my graveyard and I choose my Mist Wurm!"
Suddenly, the misty centipede appeared with a hiss (ATK: 2,500).
Christina sighed and replied, "I have a idea what she's bringing out!"
"I now overlay my 2 level 9 monsters!"
Both monsters turned into green orbs and the portal opened up, which they flew into.
"I use these monster to build the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon! Appear now..Phantom Fortress Enterblathnir!"
As she sat the card down, the huge sky carrier appeared (ATK: 2,900).
"I now remove 1 Xyz Material monster to banish your Raiji!"
As she took the Mist Wurm and discarded it, the mighty wolf-like zombie dissolved into particles.
"Now, attack!"
Cannons appeared below the deck and fired a huge burst of energy and shells and Okama was blasted into pixels (Sebastian LP: 2350 - 1250).
Jackie laughed and replied, "You'll be defeated soon! I end my turn now."
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I"ll set a monster and 1 card facedown and thats my turn now."
Jackie drew a card and replied, "Another Sonic Duck for me!"
As she sat the card down, the cute duck appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"I use my machines ability again!"
Sebastian quickly replied, "I activate Breakthough Skill on that giant eyesore!"
Suddenly, the huge machine began to glow red.
"Damn you. Sonic Duck, you first!"
The duck went in and pecked the other Karakasa to pieces.
"Attack!"
The machine fired its cannon again and a Shutendoji appeared before the energy blast atomized it.
"Your turn now, fool!"
Sebastian drew a card and replied, "I banish the 2nd Mezuki I discarded with your Jar!"
As he did so, Yuki-Onna appeared (ATK: 1,000).
"I now special summon a Zombie monster from my graveyard with her ability and I choose my Shutendoji!"
Suddenly, the beastly ogre appeared (ATK: 1,500).
"Next, I summon my Dragon Zombie!"
As he sat the card down, the undead dragon appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"I now tune Yuki-Onna with my Shutendoji and Dragon Zombie!"
The female Yokai spirit split into 2 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Shutendoji and Dragon Zombie, which turned into a total of 7 white stars.
"I Synchro Summon..Mizuchi!"
As she sat the card down, a beautiful dragon of water appeared with a screech (ATK: 2,800).
"Next, I play Limit Reverse!"
Suddenly, Tanuki Spirit appeared (ATK: 800).
"I now equip it to my Mizuchi!"
Suddenly, the small raccoon dog hopped onto the larger Yokai monster (ATK: 2,800 - 3,300).
"I now use one of Mizuchi's ability! I return 2 banished monsters back to my deck and it can attack all of your monsters once apiece!"
He took his two Karakasa and returned them to the deck and then he replied, "I attack your monsters!"
The dragon opened its mouth and let out a huge gust of water and it shot out and struck the huge carrier and it burst into a huge explosion that lit up the sky.
"Now, attack the duck to end the duel!"
The dragon let out another burst of water and it shot out and blew the duck to little pieces (Jackie LP: 1600 - 0).
Christina then replied, "Yea!"
Sebastian nodded and he took a capture rope out of his pocket and he wrapped her off and he replied, "You're under arrest for attemped murder and burglary of a high member of our group, Jackie!"
Christina then replied, "She's from your time?"
Sebastian then replied, "The beasts got herself and her husband to this timeline from a portal in New York."
Jackie laughed and replied, "You'll never beat Slade and Shade!"
She slowly vanished into particles and Sebastian then replied, "Good riddance."
They looked at the diner and Sebastian sighed and replied, "Lets do this."
