She looked up to the sky watching the stars, the magical colours and patterns of the night.
"I'm proud of you, Thalia." She didn't turn around; her icy blue eyes were still fixed on the sky. "You've proved your suitability today." She looked away trying to find the source of the voice.
"Milady," she breathed and the young looking goddess smiled.
"You were born to be a leader, my Lieutenant," the goddess of hunting stated and the physically older nodded.
"Yes, Lady Artemis," she said simply. For a moment she looked back to the starts, but then she met her lady's silvery yellow eyes.
"My question is, whatever you meant to be the leader of the Hunt or something else," Artemis questioned the half-blood who looked at her lady questioningly.
"I don't understand your question, milady," she said as politely as she could and earned a sad smile from her godly half-sister.
"With what happened today the dreaded prophecy has been fulfilled, Thalia. The child of the prophecy was Perseus and he has chosen well. The end of prophecy means that you are no longer a threat, you are just one of the demigods now," the goddess stated and for a moment her Lieutenant looked at her blankly.
"Am I imagining things or are you offering me to go?" the demigod asked the goddess of hunting who for a moment didn't answer.
"I'm giving you an opportunity, Thalia. The danger is over, Olympus if safe, I'm offering you to continue your life where you have left it off," Artemis stated and a small smile appeared on the demigod's face.
"Lady Artemis, your offer is very generous, but I've made an oath, I've pledged myself to you, I'm not going to break it just, because the prophecy is over," the half-blood stated and the auburn-haired goddess smiled at her.
"I'm giving an opportunity to you Thalia not many received yet," Artemis stated and the demigod nodded.
"Yeah, I've heard about Catherine, the sharp-shinned hawk," the Lieutenant muttered.
"Yes, some of my Huntresses have chosen the harder way," the goddess agreed. "Are you sure about your oath, Thalia?" Artemis turned toward the demigod, who nodded slowly.
"Until my heart sops beating and I stop breathing, until my last breathe I'm yours, milady. I've made an oath and I won't break it now," she said and the Olympian beamed at her.
"Very well, Thalia, daughter of Zeus, my Lieutenant. I appreciate your loyalty."
The demigod looked up to the stars again and remembered the girl before her. She looked back to the twelve-year-old looking goddess and the pair of silvery yellow and sky blue eyes met for a moment.
"Until my last breath," she muttered.
