A/N: Hey guys! As always, thank you for the amazing reviews! So, here we have some angsty Morganders as promised. This comes via request of elenp3 who suggested putting Greg and Morgan in a hostage situation. Hope you enjoy!
Summary – Greg and Morgan are taken hostage, and their love for each other is put to the test.
Hostages
Greg groaned as he finally began to come around. He was face down on the cold hardwood floor, hands tied behind his back and blood on his face. Greg tried to remember what happened, but everything just seemed like a blur.
Greg opened his eyes and was met by clumps of dust littering the ground. He realised his breathing sounded laboured and his left side hurt like hell. The CSI coughed and winced as he tried to roll onto his back.
"Greg?" a terrified whisper spoke "Greg, can you hear me?" the voice pleaded.
"M…Morgan?" Greg mumbled, as he managed to turnover and breathe some much needed air "Oh God, my head" he said with a grimace.
"When's your birthday?" Morgan asked.
"Ugh…what?"
"When's your birthday?" Morgan repeated.
"The fifth of May…Morgs I'm really not bothered about you planning me a party right now…"
Morgan laughed "I just wanted to check you didn't have memory loss, stupid" she teased.
Greg smiled as he moved his head to the left to look at her. Morgan was on a chair with her hands behind her back; she looked scared, but other than that she seemed unscathed. Greg's own eyes grew fearful as he looked at the woman he loved; he hated seeing that lost look in Morgan's beautiful blue eyes.
"Are you okay?" Greg asked concernedly.
"Yes, I'm fine" Morgan replied with tears in her eyes, she hated seeing Greg so hurt and not being able to help him. "Stay still okay, don't move your head too much"
"What the hell happened…did your dad find out we were dating?" Greg asked, and Morgan couldn't help but laugh. She loved Greg could find his sense of humour even in situations like this.
"No, we're still good" Morgan responded. "Honey, try to remember yourself what happened…"
"Okay… we, erm…" Greg's eyes and nose scrunched up at he tried to remember, and Morgan couldn't help but think how cute he looked. "We…arrived at the crime scene, this big house…there was a body in the bedroom and we were processing…"
Greg heard a noise coming from the closet. He didn't say anything to Morgan, not wanting to worry her yet. He cautiously made his way over, one hand on his gun as he pulled the door opened.
He didn't have much time to react. The man jumped out and pushed Greg to the floor, ripping the CSI's gun from his holster. Greg heard Morgan scream and turned his head to see another man gripping the female CSI tightly around her waist, and Morgan tried to fight herself free, but the man had gotten hold of Morgan's gun too and pointed it at her temple.
"Get off her!" Greg yelled as he struggled with his own captor.
But then the man began to repeatedly bring the butt of the gun down on Greg's head, kneeing the CSI's ribs as he did so. Greg let out low grunts of pain, Morgan screamed his name, and then everything went black.
"Where are they?" Greg asked, referring to the men who were holding them hostage.
"I-I don't know" Morgan replied, and Greg could see the tears glistening in her eyes. "Oh God, Greg" she began to cry.
"Hey, baby please don't cry" Greg said fighting tears of his own at the sight of his broken girlfriend "I'm going to get you out I promise…"
"No! I'm not going anywhere without you" Morgan protested.
Greg sighed "I can't promise that, baby. Your life means more to me than my own…"
"We're both getting out of this alive." Morgan said sternly "Forget your hero complex… promise me you're not going to put yourself in danger just for me."
"Morgan..."
"Promise me!"
"Okay" Greg said defeated, as he didn't want to make the beautiful woman even more upset "Okay, I promise"
"Good. I love you" Morgan replied.
"I love you too" Greg said with a small smile, but he sounded tired and Morgan could see he was fighting to keep his eyes open.
"Hey, sweetie you have to stay awake for me" Morgan begged "You might be concussed"
"I know, I'm trying" Greg reassured her "I better start working on getting us out of here then" he said with determination, as he tried to push himself up into a sitting position, but it proved difficult with his hands tied behind his back and several broken ribs.
"Greg, don't hurt yourself even more" Morgan said worriedly as she watched him struggle.
Greg was resolute in his mission to get his beloved girlfriend free and finally managed to work his way up into a sitting position. However, it seemed to take what little energy Greg had left out of him as he sat and breathed heavily for a few minutes. The room was still spinning and his vision had not returned to its full force.
"That's it sweetie, just breath" Morgan encouraged Greg, she felt so helpless watching her boyfriend struggling to function properly.
"I'm alright" Greg tried to reassure her.
The next hurdle was to try and stand up, but just as Greg positioned himself on his knees, the door opened and the CSI's hostage takers returned.
"Praying for mercy already are we?" One of the men taunted as he walked over to Greg; the other approached Morgan.
"Hey there gorgeous" he said, stroking her cheek with his finger. Morgan just exhaled a sharp breath and turned her head away.
"Touch her and I swear to God I will break every single bone in your pathetic bodies" Greg snarled, but the men just laughed.
"Pretty big words coming from a man on his knees" The one beside Greg mocked as he squatted down to the CSI's level and his piercing green eyes met Greg's fearful brown. "You're not a man though are you…you're a pitiful wimp, God knows what a blonde bombshell like her sees in you…"
"I ask myself the same question everyday…" Greg whispered truthfully, and Morgan's heart broke.
"Don't talk to him like that you sick freaks!" she yelled angrily "I love him, and nothing you can say will ever change that!"
"Oh, we'll see…" the captor said with a malicious grin "We shall see…"
With that, the man grabbed hold of Greg's arm and started dragging him across the floor. The CSI fought but his injuries were already making him weak, and Morgan was struggling in her chair, wanting to rip these guys' throats out and hold Greg in her arms once more.
"Don't hurt him!" she yelled as tears streamed down her face "Don't hurt him you bastards!"
"Morgan, baby Ssh it's okay" Greg said, trying to sound calm, he didn't want Morgan to get herself in trouble. The man had thrown Greg in front of a mirror, and the CSI could see his petrified girlfriend crying and shaking in the reflection "I'm not worth your tears, baby" Greg tried to tell Morgan, but she just cried harder.
"So, what is about him, huh?" The man beside Morgan asked. "Is it those big brown eyes? That boyish complexion? Those stuck out ears…"
"Hey!" Greg yelled "That's just mean, we can't all be studs like you" he mocked.
"Don't try and get cocky" the captor beside him threatened. A knife had appeared in his hand and he was twisting it around in his fingers, just waiting for an excuse to use it.
"Or maybe it's him charming wit" the other man added sarcastically.
"It's everything, I love everything about him" Morgan answered truthfully.
"Oh really? Even if I were to mess up his pretty little face?" the man said, taking a firm hold of Greg's hair and pulling his head back, so that Morgan could see the knife being held to her boyfriend's cheek.
"No! Please, don't hurt him" Morgan begged, but her attempt was in vain.
"Morgan, it's alright" Greg said firmly. His terrified eyes betrayed him…but he had to try and keep it together for Morgan's sake "I don't want them to hurt you too…"
"Do you like 'em rough, Blondie?" the man with Morgan asked "Do you like a man with scars?"
Greg scoffed "I got plenty of those already" he mumbled.
"Well, how about some more?" the man with Greg asked, with a devilish smile.
He placed the tip of the knife on the edge of Greg's temple, before piercing the CSI's skin and slowly dragging the cold, sharp blade all the way down, across Greg's cheek and around to his chin. Greg girt his teeth hard, so hard he felt blood in his mouth. He was determined not to scream, because he knew that's what the bastards wanted.
"Say you don't love him" the hostage taker beside Morgan whispered in her ear "Say you don't love him, and then we'll stop"
"No…" Morgan said "No, I wouldn't do that to Greg, I wouldn't lie to him like that"
"Well then just watch…watch the man you supposedly love be in pain, and know that it's entirely your fault"
"Don't listen to him, baby!" Greg called back, having overheard "None of this is your fault. Trust me, if you ever said you didn't love me, it would hurt a hell of a lot more than whatever they could do to me" he added genuinely, with tears in his eyes.
"Challenge accepted…" the man said, withdrawing the knife and admiring his handiwork in the mirror for a moment "You say you have scars already? I don't see any…"
"They're on my back" Greg said vehemently.
"Mind if I take a look?" the captor said, but he didn't wait for an answer, before slicing Greg's shirt open with the knife and ripping the garment off.
Greg immediately tensed. His scars had always made him feel weak, and he was paranoid by the fact he thought Morgan thought they made him look like a freak. He hated being so exposed.
"Very nice…" the man said, kneeling down and tracing his hand along one of them "Wouldn't it be a shame to open old wounds?" he said with a grin of malice.
With that, he pushed his knee into Greg's back, and the CSI fell forward so his chest was once again pressed against the floor; Greg cried out in pain at the pressure put on his broken ribs, and Morgan screamed for the bastard to stop. The captor straddled Greg's hips and placed the knife above one of the CSI's scars caused by the lab explosion.
The skin had never really healed properly; it had always remained sensitive, and could sometimes cause Greg pain when not handled properly. But the pain which followed was a lot worse, as the man dug the knife into Greg's skin once more, and began to reopen the wounds.
Greg screamed.
"No!" Morgan cried, becoming hysterical "No, please, stop!"
"You know what you have to say" the man beside her whispered. "Just say those four little words"
Morgan fought the urge, she fought the urge so bad to comply to their commands, but she couldn't stand to see Greg tortured in that way, as more and more of his scars were reopened. The male CSI's screams of pain only seemed to get louder, until Morgan couldn't take it anymore.
"I don't love him!" Morgan cried. A silence followed.
Greg looked up at her with pain filled eyes...but it was no longer the cuts to his skin which caused so pain.
"Don't tell us, tell him" the capture beside her encourage.
"Greg…" Morgan whispered "I don't love you…" Greg thought he'd felt his heart literally break; and Morgan saw it too.
Greg just nodded, and turned his head away from her. Silent tears spilled from his eyes, and Morgan could tell he'd lost his fight; he was giving up, because of her. Morgan bowed her head and cried.
The end ^_^
Kidding! Of course there will be a part two…if you like it at least ;)
