Chapter 53: Evolution

In Shade's office, Shade and the rest of the members were talking about Slade's hidden mission that failed.
Shade then replied, "I'm dissapointed in you, son. You did this mission without my permission and your got your friend locked up as well."
Slade then replied, "I wanted you to be proud of me, dad. I got some gernades Sledge let me have and it went from there."
Shade looked at Sledge and replied, "Explain yourself, Sledge."
Sledge then replied, "Terrence called me into his lab the other night and told me about his conclusion and he said he tested them as well, sir."
Shade then replied, "I should of known Terrence would ask one of his to be his test rat."
He looked at Bulldog and he replied, "Get him to my office after breakfast and I'll chat with him myself."
"Yes, sir."
"Good to hear, For now on, no one tests or does any kind of attack unless I give them permission!"
They all saluted him and then he replied, "Everyone but Slade can leave."
They all left and Jacob shut the door and Shade looked at his son and replied, "Why'd ask him of all people, son?"
"I wanted ot make you proud of me. I thought if this would work out, we would be unstoppable."
Shade then replied, "No matter what happens, you're my son and I'll always be proud of you, Slade. You've always been a great kid and I want you to continue that, son."
Slade smiled and replied, "Thanks, dad."
"We'll all need to be ready and work as a team to take those suckers down."
"So true, dad. So true."

Back at a private room inside of the casino, Aaron and Michelle were talking about the duel. Everyone (besides Lucas, Christina and Beth) knew the two were happily dating and have been doing so for 2 years now.
Michelle smiled and repleid, "That was great duel, sweetie. Your 2nd deck is awesome."
Aaron sighed and replied, "I was glad to kick his ass in the duel. The more of those asses we beat the better."
"So true, babe. You want a duel with me when this shit is done and ever with."
"Of course, hon. Which deck?"
"Your Vehicroid deck, babe. I want to take it out myself."
"Sounds good. We'll get to it when this mess is done and we control the city okay again."
Michelle nodded and replied, "Darn right, babe. I'll see you tomorrow. Love you and good night."
Aaron walked up to Michelle and kissed her on the lips and he smiled at her and replied, "Love you too, Michelle."
She slowly walked out of the room and he took a small box out of his pocket and inside was a engagement ring and he sighed and repleid, "Can't wait to show this to everyone. I hope they all approve of it."

Later that in the middle of Minneapolis, a beast (Named Clay) was about to duel a Fighter from the casino named Sally.
Clay then replied, "Ready to be crushed, little girl?"
Sally laughed and replied, "You'll falling first, you beast dick."
Both activated their disks and drew 5 cards.

Sally drew a card and replied, "I start with Nova Summoner."
as he sat the card down, a oranged-feathered fairy appeared (ATK: 1,400).
"I'll set a monster facedown and 3 cards facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Clay drew a card and replied, "I play Mystical Space Typhoon!"
The storm appeared and ripped apart her facedown Mirror Force."
"Bummer. I summon my Asura Priest!"
As he sat the card down, the evil Spirit fairy appeared (ATK: 1,700).
Sally quickly replied, "I activate Spirit Barrier!"
The trap appeared.
"Whatever. I banish 1 spirit from my hand to special summon my Izanagi!"
As he took a Maharagi and banished it, the spiritual fairy leader appeared (ATK: 2,100).
Attack!"
The spirit tossed her dagger and impaled the fairy and it exploded into a burst of orange feathers and then she replied, "I can now summon a weak fairy from my deck now."
Suddenly, another one appeared (ATK: 1,400).
"I can keep attack with my spirit!"
It tossed more daggers and the 2nd Summoner was blown to shards and then a 3rd one appeared and the daggers struck it and destroyed it and then a Shining Angel appeared (ATK: 1,400) and then it tossed more out and this fairy shattered to bits and then a 2nd one appeared and the daggers shot out and obliterated the 2nd one and then a 3rd one appeared before the daggers impaled it and blew it to shards and then a UFOroid appeared (ATK: 1,200).
Clay growled and replied, "You're getting annoying!"
The spirit tossed its daggers and it struck the machine and it exploded into broken metal and the 2nd one appeared and the daggers blew it to little pices and then a 3rd one appeared before the daggers struck it and blew it to pieces as well and then a UFO Turtle appeared (ATK: 1,400) and the daggers struck it and it blew up and then a 2nd one appeared before daggers blew it apart and then a 3rd one appeared before the daggers struck and blew it to little pieces and then a Masked Dragon appeared (ATK: 1,400) and the daggers blew it into little shards and then a 2nd one appeared and was blown to pieces and then a 3rd one appeared and it was blown into red triangles as it was struck it and then a Troop Dragon appeared (DEF: 800) and the daggers blew the 1st one to pieces and then 2 more appeared and before the spirit blew both to shards with its daggers.
"Damn your wall! Attack directly!"
Izanagi went and struck her with her weapon (Sally LP: 8000 - 5900) and then he sighed and replied, "Your turn now."
Sally drew a card and replied, "I activate Needlebug Nest!"
He took the top 5 cards (Which were a Mystic Tomato, Skelengel, Call of the Haunted a 2nd Needlebug Nest and a Giant Rat) and discarded then and then she replied, "I summon my Choas Necromancer!"
As she sat the card down, a wicked fiend appeared (ATK: ? - 6,100).
Clay gulped and replied, "Thats why the wall of monsters was there?"
"Damn right. I now play Double Attack!"
Shee took a Hyena and discarded it (ATK: 6,100 - 6,400) and then she replied, "Attack Izanagi!"
The hands began to glow and then a huge burst of shadowy energy shot out and blasted the Fairy to pieces (Clay LP: 8000 - 3700) and then it launched another burst of shadowy energy and the Priest was blown to shards (Clay LP: 3700 - 0)
Sally smiled and replied, "There we go."
Clay groaned and he vanished into dark particles and she took her cellphone out of her pocket and called up Carly and she replied, "Got clay, madam. He didn't have a chance with my deck. I creamed him in only two turns."
Carly continued to talk and Sally smiled and replied, "Thank you madam. Talk to you soon."
She hung up and she smiled and replied, "That takes care of two Beasts now."

That next morning in his office, Shade was waiting for Terrence to arrive.
He took a sip of his coffee and he nodded and replied, "Where are you?"
Suddenly, the lab man opened the door and walked in and he replied, "Wanted me for something, sir?"
"Close the door and it sit down."
He nodded and did so and then he replied, "Watcha need, boss?"
Shade then replied, "I heard you gave Sledge those new gernades?"
"Sure did, sir. I heard Slade's buddy was defeated and captured."
"All true. You know you're supposed to tell me about these things before you involve my own men, right?"
"I know and I'm sorry. What can I do?"
"You're going to be my next duelist when those girls come for us. Yoh have a decent deck?"
"Sure do, sir. I have a decent one."
"Good. I'll let this incident go if you manage to win a duel?"
Shade took a key from his desk drawer and gave it to him and he replied, "Good luck and head out."
He got up and left the room and he sighed and replied, "Don't fail me again, Terrence."

A hour later, Terrence was in the arena and waiting to duel and he sighed and replied, "Lets get this duel over with already."
Suddenly, the large door opened up and the girls walked in and Ginny replied, "I'm ready for a duel with you."
Terrence then replied, "Good, because I'm giving one tough duel and I heard of your loss to Daniel. My deck is waiting to kick your butt."
"Won't be happening at all. Lets duel already."
As they went ever and sat down, the duelists activated their duel disks and both drew 5 cards apiece.
"Game on!", both yelled out.
(Terrence LP: 8000 - Ginny LP: 8000)
Terrence then replied, "Start the duel."
Ginny drew a card and replied, "I think I will. I Summon the mighty Axe Raider!"
As she sat the card down, the mighty barbarian appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"Your turn now."
Terrence drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and 1 card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Ginny drew a card and replied, "I summon my Junk Blader!"
As as he sat the card down, the warrior made of junk appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Lets do it. Blader, attack!"
The mighty warrior went in and a Flying Kamakari #1 appeared on the card (DEF: 900) and he slashed with his sword and blew the mantis to pieces and then a 2nd one appeared (ATK: 1,400) and the barbarian made a heavy slash with his axe, cutting the large mantis in two. The pieces shattered into pixels (Terrence LP: 8000 - 7700) and then he smiled and replied, "I bring out Armed Dragon LV3!"
As he sat the card down, the smallest of the Armed Dragons appeared with a chirp (ATK: 1,300).
"Okay then I'll set a card and that'll end my turn now."
As he drew a card, the small dragon grew into its larger and more powerful Level 5 form (ATK: 2,400).
Kelly then replied, "Ouch."
"I now summon my LV Mage!"
As he sat the card down, the spellcaster Rokstar used against Ginny back at Target Field appeared (ATK: 1,700).
Christina then replied, "Damn."
"I discard 1 card to destroy your Junk Blader!"
As he took a 2nd Armed Dragon LV5 and discarded it, missles fired from the huge dragon and they homed in and struck, blasting Junk Blader to pieces.
"Attack her Axe Raider!"
The dragon fired another barrage of missle and Axe Raider was blown into pixels as they struck him (Ginny LP: 8000 - 7300).
"Attack her directly, mage.'
He aimed his staff at her and then Junk Defender appeared (DEF: 1,800 - 2,100) and she fired a magic burst and it shot out and reflected off of it (Terrence LP: 7700 - 7300) and he sighed and replied, "Damn it. I end my turn now."
Kelly drew a card and replied, "
I summon my Top Runner!"
As she sat the card down, a mechanical jogger appeared (ATK: 1,100).
"I now tune my 2 monsters together!"
The machine runner split into 4 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Junk Defender, which turned into 4 white stars and as this was happening, Ginny raised her arms and began to chant:
"Docking strength with courage to protect the world's peace! Synchro Summon! Envoy of love and justice, Power Tool Dragon!"
As he sat the card down, a huge mechaincal dragon appeared (ATK: 2,300).
Christina then replied, "Good card, girl."
"I use its ability. I take 3 Equip Spell cards from my deck and you have to select one of them and the rest go back into my deck!"
She took 3 of them and Terrence replied, "The middle card!"
She flipped the card around and it was a Axe of Despair and then it appeared in the machines others hand (ATK: 2,300 - 3,300).
"Attack!"
The machine dragon went in and struck the dragon with the axe and it thrashed around before it exploded into shards (Terrence LP: 7700 - 7200).
Ginny smiled and replied, "Take that! I end my turn now."
Terrence drew a card and replied, "I'll set a monster and switch LV Mage to defense and I'll set a card and that'll end my turn now."
Ginny drew a card and replied, "I summon my Gearfried!"
As he sat the card down, the iron knight appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Lets do it. Gearfried, attack!"
The knight went and made a downward slice with his sword, blowing LV Mage to shards.
"Attack!"
The machine dragon went in and a Warrior Lady of the Wasteland appeared on the card (DEF: 1,200) and the machine swung his axe, blowing Warrior Lady to bits and then he replied, "I summon my Masked Knight LV3!"
As he sat the card down, a young child wearing armor appeared (ATK: 1,500).
"Okay..then. I'll set a card and that'll end my turn now."
As he drew a card, the warrior grew taller (ATK: 2,300).
"I use his ability to inflict 1000 damage to you if I don't attack with it."
Suddenly, Ginny let out a moan of pain (Ginny LP: 7300 - 6300) and then he replied, "I summon my Mystic Swordsman LV2."
As he sat the card down, a child knight wielding a sword appeared (ATK: 900).
"Next, I activate my facedown Level Soul! I tribute a monster and banish a level monster from my graveyard and then I can special summon any with the name in it!"
As his Mystic Swordsman LV2 vanished and he took his Armed Dragon LV3 and banished it, Another Armed Dragon LV5 appeared (ATK: 2,400).
"Next, I play Mystical Space Typhoon!"
The storm began and blasted the equip card to bits (ATK: 3,300 - 2,300).
"Say goodbye to your weaker monster!"
As he took a Mystical Swordsman LV4 from his hand and discarded it, the huge dragon fired a burst of missles and they shot out and blew Gearfried into fragments.
"Now, attack her Power Tool Dragon!"
The dragon fired another burst of missles and they shot out and struck the mechincal dragon, blowing it to scrap (Ginny LP: 6300 - 6100).
"Your turn now."
Suddenly, Armed Dragon LV5 glowed and then it became its level 7 form (ATK: 2,800).
Ginny drew a card and replied, "I play Mind Control!"
Suddenly, Masked Knight LV5 vanished and reappeared on his side of the field.
"I'll use its ability to give you 1000 damage!"
Terrence groaned in pain as he took the damage (Terrence LP: 7200 - 6200).
"Next, I summon my Tune Warrior!"
As she sat the card down, the robot-like tuner appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"I now tune them together!"
Tune Warrior split into 3 white stars, which turned into rings and the rings went through Masked Knight LV5, which turned into 5 white stars and as it happening, Ginny raised her hands in the air and began to chant:
"Rend the obsidian darkness! Scorch Heaven and Earth! Isolated, absolute king! Synchro Summon! Hot Red Dragon Archfiend!"
As she sat the card down, the demonic-like dragon appeared (ATK: 3,000).
"Attack his Armed Dragon LV7!"
The dragon let out a hot burst of flames and they shot out and struck the Dragon and its armor began to melt before it exploded into pixels (Terrence LP: 6200 - 6000).
Ginny smiled and replied, "Take that! I End my turn now."
Terrence drew a card and replied, "I'll set 2 cards and I'll set a monster facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Ginny drew a card and replied, "I summon my Rockstone Warrior!"
As she sat the card down, the rocky warrior appeared (ATK: 1,800).
Terrence quickly replied, "I activate The Prophecy!"
He took his 1st Armed Dragon LV7 and Level Soul and shuffled the cards back into his deck and then she replied, "Whatever you say. Hot Red Dragon Archfiend, attack!"
The dragon let out another hot burst of flames and they shot out and a Ultimate Insect LV3 appeared on the card before the flames roasted it.
"Attack her directly!"
The rocky creature went in and Terrence quickly replied, "I activate Fires of Doomsday!"
Suddenly, two fiery fiends made of black flames appeared (DEF: 0 x2) and the rocky creature punched it and it burst into a puff of black smoke.
"Your turn now, I guess."
Terrence drew a card and replied, "I play Foolish Burial."
He took a Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV4 and discarded it and he replied, "I now activate my 2nd Level Soul!"
The token vanished into particles and he took his Horus LV4 and banished it and then the most imfamous of the Horus Dragons appeared. It was the mighty Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 (ATK: 3,000).
Christina groaned and replied, "Not that thing."
Kelly then replied, "The most imfamous of the trio."
"Next, I play my Burden of the Mighty!"
Suddenly, the demon-like dragon let out a roar (ATK: 3,000 - 2,200) (ATK: 1,800 - 1,400).
"Attack!"
The dragon let out a burst of black flames and they shot out and struck the dragon in the chest and it roared in pain as the flames got too much fo it before it exploded into a cloud of fiery smoke & ash (Ginny LP: 6100 - 5300).
Terrence laughed and replied, "Take that! I end my turn now."
Ginny drew a card and replied, "I"ll set a monster facedown and 2 other cards facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Kelly then replied, "She didn't switch that rock monsters postion!"
Christina smiled and replied, "You don't take any kind of damage with it, so it didn't matter what postion it was in."
Terrence drew a card and replied, "Dark Blade, come forth!"
As he sat the card down, the dark swordsman appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Lets do it. Horus, attack!"
The dragon let out a burst of flames and they shot out and reduced Rockstone Warrior to dust and then two smaller rocks appeared (DEF: 0 x2) and then Ginny smield and replied, "I take no damage with him!"
"Attack her facedown monster!"
The mighty warrior charged in and Ginny quickly replied, "I activate Negate Attack!"
The swordsman suddenly struck a barrier and returned and he repleid, "Your move now."
Ginny drew a card and replied, "I flip my Water Spirit up!"
As she flipped the card up, a small watery creature with a odd face appeared (ATK: 400).
"I now tune him with my tokens!"
The spirit split into 1 white star, which turned into green rings and the rings went through both tokens, which turned into a total of 2 white stars.
"I Synchro Summon...Mist Bird Clausolas!"
As she sat the card down, a large green feathered bird with two large wings appeared (ATK: 0).
Terrence laughed and replied, "You summoned a weak monster in attack mode? You nuts, lady?"
Ginny pointed to her facedown card and lifted up, showing a Inverse Universe and he gulped and replied, "Never mind."
Suddenly, it let out a caw (ATK: 0 - 2,300) and Horus roared (ATK: 3,000 - 1,800).
"I now use its ability!"
Suddenly, Horus got even weaker (ATK: 1,800 - 0).
"Attack!"
The bird opened its beak and a burst of freezing-cold mist blew out and struck the dragon and it roared before it exploded into a large cloud of steam (Terrence LP: 6000 - 3700).
Christina then replied, "Great move, girl!"
"Take that! I end my turn now."
Terrence drew a card and replied, "I'll switch my Dark Blade to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and 1 other card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Ginny drew a card and replied, "I summon my Vorse Raider!"
As he sat the card down, the dark beast-warrior appeared (ATK: 1,900).
"Lets do it. Mist Bird, attack!"
The bird let out a burst of cold mist and shot out and the swordsman froze up and then it fell backwards, shattering into broken ice as it hit the ground.
Vorse Raider, attack!"
The beast-warrior swung his axe and a Skelengel appeared on the card (DEF: 500) and was blasted into pixels as the axe struck it down and then he drew a card.
"Your turn now."
Terrence drew a card and replied, "I play Level Modulation!"
As Ginny drew 1 cards, Masked Knight LV5 appeared (ATK: 2,300).
"I play Level Up!"
The knight began to glow and then he grew taller and become more powerful-looking (ATK: 2,900).
Kelly then replied, "She's in trouble."
"With my Masked Knight LV7, you can now take 1500 damage and he can still attack!"
She let out a groan of pain (Ginny LP: 5300 - 3800).
"Attack his bird!"
The mighty knight went and made a quick slice of his sword, cutting Clausolas in twain. The two pieces dissolved into formless mist (Ginny LP: 3800 - 3200).
"There you go! I end my turn now."
Ginny drew a card and replied, "I'll switch my Raider to defense and I'll set a new monster facedown and 1 card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Terrence drew a card and replied, "Once again, you take damage!"
Ginny smiled back and replied, "I activiate Breakthrough Skull!"
As the trap flipped up, the knight groaned.
"Whatever. I'll attack your Vorse Raider!"
The knight charged in and swung his blade again, blowing Vorse Raider to bits.
"I'll set a monster and 1 card facedown and its your turn now."
Ginny drew a card and replied, "I reveal my facedown monster!"
As she flipped the card up, Goblin Attack Force appeared (ATK: 2,300).
"I tribute them for my Turret Warrior!"
As the goblins saluted before vanishing, the bulky warrior appeared (ATK: 1,200 - 3,500).
"Next, I Summon my Warrior Dai Grepher!"
As she sat the card down, the mighty warrior appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"I equip him with my Big Bang Shot!"
Suddenly, his sword began to glow (ATK: 1,700 - 2,100).
"Turret Warrior, attack!"
The huge warrior fired a barrage of shells and they shot out and each struck the knight in chest and he let out a loud groan before he exploded into triangles.
"Grepher, attack!"
The mighty warrior went in and a Magician Of Faith appeared on the card (DEF: 400) and was blasted into pixels as Grepher struck her down (Terrence LP: 3700 - 1800) and he took a card from there and placed it in his hand.
"Next, I play Nobleman of Extermintion on your facedown card!"
A knight appeared and he jammed his sword into it. Terrence growled as his facedown Level Soul lifted up and dissolved into pixels and then he took the copy from his deck and banished it as well.
"Tough Break for you, dude! I'll set a card and that'll end my turn now."
Terrence drew a card and replied, "I play Monster Reborn!"
Suddenly, Armed Dragon LV5 appeared (ATK: 2,400).
"Next, I play my 2nd Level Up!"
Suddenly, it grew into its more powerful form (ATK: 2,800).
"Next, I tribute it for the best level monster in the game, besides Horus!"
The huge dragon began to glow and then it grew larger and it was completely covered in silver armor (ATK: 3,000).
"Meet the allmighty and powerful Armed Dragon LV10!"
Christina then replied, "Jeez."
Kelly then replied, "He has a card in his hand too!"
"Damn right I Do!"
As he took his 2nd LV Mage and discarded it, the huge dragon roared as it launched a huge burst of green energy that shot out and atomized both of Ginny's monsters.
"Attack her directly!"
The dragon roared and then fired a burst of energy and it shot out and struck her down (Ginny LP: 3200 - 200).
"Take that! I end my turn now."
Ginny drew a card and replied, "I play Synchro Spirits! I banish a Synchro from my graveyard and the cards I used to Synchro Summon it are back!"
As she took her Power Tool Dragon and banished it, Top Runner (DEF: 1,900) and Axe Raider (ATK: 1,700) appeared.
"Next, I summon Turbo Synchron!"
As she sat the card down, the small machine tuner appeared (ATK: 100).
"Next, I play my Monster Reborn!"
Turret Warrior suddenly appeared (ATK: 1,200).
"I now tune Turret Warrior with my Nitro Synchron!"
The smal tuner split into 1 white star, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Turret Warrior, which turned into 5 white stars and as this was happening, Ginny raised her hands and began to chant:
"Clustering stars weave a greater force! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Roar engines, Turbo Warrior!"
Suddenly, the mechanical Synchro warrior appeared (ATK: 2,600 - 3,000).
"I activate the Level Eater effect in my graveyard! I Lower Turbo Warrior's level from 6 to 5 to special summon it from my graveyard!"
As it began to glow (LV: 6 - 5), a large bug flew in onto the field (ATK: 500).
"Next, I'll activate my other facedown card and its Miniaturize! I'll lower Top Runner from Level 4 to 3 and lowering its attack power!"
Suddenly, Top Runner began to shrink (ATK: 1,100 - 100 / LV: 4 - 3).
"I now tune him to my Level Eater!"
Top Runner charged in as it split into 3 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Level Eater, which turned into 1 single star.
"I Synchro Summon..Armory Arm!"
As she sat the card down, a large metal arm appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"I now equip to my Turbo Warrior!"
Suddenly, the machine broke apart and its parts connected to Turbo Warrior's arm and the hand appeared again on the Synchro's metal claw (ATK: 2,600 - 3,600).
"Attack it!"
The Synchro Warrior went and the arm turned into the fist and it went in and slammed its metal fist into the huge dragon and it roared in pain as small explosions happened all over its armor and then it exploded into fiery pieces of metal that flew everywhere (Terrence LP: 1800 - 1200) and he smiled and replied, "Next turn, I'll get you and win!"
Ginny smiled back and replied, "Forgot what happens when a monster equipped with Armory Arm does?"
Terrence gulped and replied, "No.. ."
Suddenly, the fist fired off of the arm and it went and punched the gangster (Terrence LP: 1200 - 0).
Christina smiled and replied, "Another win for us!"
Kelly then replied, "I love her Synchro Deck!"
Terrence began to glow and he sighed and replied, "Master Shade, its up to you and your members to finish these ladies off!"
Suddenly, he vanished from sight and a key fell to the ground and Ginny walked up to it and grabbed the key and she replied, "Lets head back to our base, ladies."
They all slowly left the arena as the large door slammed shut.

Level Soul / Normal Trap Card

Tribute 1 monster and remove from play 1 "LV" monster from your Graveyard. Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck that is written on the card text of the removed monster, ignoring the Summoning conditions.
Note: This card was used by Chazz in Yugioh GX episode 166 which was unaired in the United States. Full credit goes to the writers of that episode.
Synchro Spirits / Normal Trap Card

Select 1 Synchro Monster from your Graveyard and banish it. If all of the monsters that were used for the Synchro Summon of that monster are in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon them to your side of the field.
