Jeremy adjusted his headset after it began to slant. He typed quickly, his eyes moving quickly around the screen.
"I'm sending your vehicles now." Jeremy said, his voice echoing around the metal walls of the lab.
"But Jeremy, if X.A.N.A. just activates the tower for a short time, how are we going to deactivate it?" Aelita asked, floating gracefully above the ground thanks to her wings.
"That's the bad part. X.A.N.A. hasn't deactivated the tower in a few seconds, which means Odd is probably having a tough time." Jeremy replied, finishing the vehicle virtualization.
"More reason to beat X.A.N.A. quickly, now let's move!" William said, hoping aboard his Override, Yumi on her vehicle as well.
The three headed to the way tower, pushing the limits of their vehicles speed. When they arrived, all three entered the tower, jumped through the bottom and were quickly on their way to the forest.
Jeremy spoke upon their exit, William tripping slightly as he exited the tower. "The tower is straight ahead, but the welcoming committee is already waiting for you."
Ahead of the Warriors were twenty Kankrelats, all positioned in groups of five, forming star shapes.
"Wow, X.A.N.A. took some time to plan this out." Yumi said, intrigued by the formation the monsters were positioned in.
After she spoke, an entire cluster fired in her direction, one laser hitting her side, sending her crashing into the ground.
"Yumi, you okay?" William asked, running over to help her.
Yumi picked herself up, arming her fans. "Yeah, I'm fine."
"Be careful, the monsters are moving into what looks like a circle around you." Jeremy said, watching the small red circles on his screen move around.
All twenty Kankrelats formed a ring around the Warriors, charging their lasers simultaneously. Aelita, noticing the danger of the situation, sang an angelic verse, her voice beautiful and majestic, creating a wooden dome around all three of them.
"Good job, Aelita." Yumi said, looking over at the pink haired angel.
Aelita was beginning to speak, but suddenly the dome shook, lasers hitting it on all sides. A small chip on one side was left from the attack.
"For some reason I doubt this thing will last forever." William said, looking through the minor hole.
"I think I have an idea, but it's risky." Yumi said, looking over at William.
"Okay, let's hear it." William said, looking back at Yumi.

Ulrich stands by the emergency room door, watching through the small window. His heart was beating violently in his chest.
Inside, doctors looked over Odd, changing his IV liquids and looking over their instruments.
"This is crazy!" The senior doctor said to assistant. "I've never seen brain activity like this! It's like every part of his brain is yelling, forcing the others to speak louder, almost like a cycle."
The assistant looked over the data, perplexed by the situation. "Should I give him a numbing agent? Maybe that will slow the brain activity."
"Go ahead, give him a high dosage." The senior doctor replied, handing his assistant a small jar.
—
"Ready?" Yumi asked, William and Aelita in position as the wooden dome began to crumble.
"Ready!" They replied, the dome crumbling to digital pieces around them.
The Kankrelats all shot at Aelita, William blocking the shots with his sword. After those first shots, Aelita and William ran for the tower, causing the monsters to change their focus onto Yumi.
Yumi pulled out both of her fans, throwing them both into the air as she was shot by all twenty of the monsters. As she devirtualized, her fans came back around, slicking ten Kankrelats on each side in half, devirtualizing all of them, leaving an open path for William and Aelita.
Aelita ran into the tower, her arms stretched out gracefully as she entered. She stepped into the center, levitating into the second platform. Once she arrived, she places her hand gently against the terminal.
—
"We're losing him! Give him another 50cc's, now!" The senior doctor yelled, Odd's face almost white, his eyes falling back.
Ulrich couldn't watch anymore, he couldn't take it. He turned around and slid on his back down the door, his hands over his eyes. He said one final prayer for his friend, asking for just a little bit longer with him, tears streaming down his face.
—
The terminal displayed: "Aelita. Code: Lyoko."
"Return to the past now!" Jeremy yelled, the white bubble growing from the factory, encompassing the planet in seconds.
—
All six of the kids were at lunch, discussing everything that had happened.
"Odd, we thought you were a goner for a while." William said, looking over at his friend.
"Don't worry, as long as there's food on this earth, I'm not leaving." Odd said, causing the others to laugh.
"Seriously Odd, I don't know what we would do without you." Ulrich said, looking kindly at his best friend, a smile from Odd in return.

Jeremy stands frozen again on the same mesa. He instantly recognized where he was, his mind seeming more free than it had been the first time he had this nightmare. He attempted to speak or more his muscles, but nothing happened.
The thick sandstorm rolled in as it did before, clouding his vision and seeming to take away his ability to think. He could only stand there as the events occurred around him.
Soon after, much faster than the first dream, the storm vanished, leaving behind a thin layer of sand. I'm the distance, Jeremy could see a bright light, brighter than before. Aelita's figure was easily distinguished, seeming clear to his slightly distorted vision.
Aelita drew closer to him, soon only a few feet away as it was before. His mind seemed totally blocked now, all he could do was witness what was about to happen.
Aelita stopped, light fading from her body as the same shadowy figure approached her. The creature grabbed her, causing her to scream and kick. Her voice was all Jeremy could hear, nothing else in the environment produced any sound.
The creature did again as it did before, throwing Aelita over the edge, leaving her to fall. Jeremy then gained the ability to think again, his body frozen, but he was able to speak.
"Aelita!" He yelled, his voice seeming to echo around the area. The creature turned to face the shouting boy, a dark hood covering his face. It inched closer, soon coming face-to-face with Jeremy. The creature moaned slightly, removing his hood with boney hands.
Jeremy was shocked by the face of the creature, yelling as he saw it.
"NO! NO!" He yelled, his face turning white.
The face of the creature was his own.
