Jeremy sits at his desk, the light from his computer illuminating his pale face, reflecting gracefully from his glasses. His fingers act as lighting, frequently moving over different keys, typing code. His mind was drained from a long nights work, although it was no longer night, his clock brightly displaying in red that the time was half past three.

'Well, Jeremy, you've gotten a lot done tonight.' He thought to himself, his body enveloped by a blanket of fatigue. 'I guess now's as good a time as any to take a break.'

He stood up from his chair, not even taking the time to save and close out of his programs, and plopped onto his bed, instantly falling asleep.

As the young boy slept, his mind drifted off to strange ideas and dreams, but it was what was happening outside his mind that would consume him when he awoke.

Suddenly and unexpectedly, the shimmer of his monitor went blank, leaving the room dead. The entire school had suddenly lost power for unknown reasons, leaving Jeremy's computer off and his laptop doomed to die, open and unable to charge.

William, Aelita, Ulrich and Odd sat at their usual table, enjoying a new "healthy" breakfast.

"Since when has bacon been grey?" Odd said, holding up his bleakly tinted piece of pork.

"Since you started liking math." Ulrich said, getting laughs from the table.

"Oh yeah, laugh, but there's nothing funny about this food." Odd said, his face looking as though he were facing death itself, yet it lacked the fear. "I'm either gonna starve or die from eating this garbage."

The gang laughed again, but were quickly interrupted by a loud voice behind them.

"Odd," Rosa said, a large spatula in her hand, "if you keep complaining about my food, I'll stop giving you any!"

Odd lowered his head as the gang laughed along with Rosa, finally giving into his stomach's desires by eating the food.

Suddenly, Jeremy burst through the door, his hair messy and his shirt slightly off balance.

"Well, someone sure can make an appearance." Aelita said, finding her comment humorous.

Jeremy walked with a brisk pace over to his friends, his body and mind exhausted and annoyed.

"Guys, we have a problem!" Jeremy said, his voice lacking the urgency it deserved, his body tired and unrested.

"Is it your new hair style Because that defiantly is a problem." William said, laughing slightly.

Jeremy looked over at William with a piercing gaze, not appreciating his attitude in his unrested state. "This is serious, William! All of my work files were corrupted last night!"

Aelita looked at him, instantly understanding the seriousness of the situation. "How did that happen?"

"I don't know, maybe X.A.N.A., but I didn't notice any activated towers. All I know is, this is a major setback. All my data from the last few weeks has been corrupted, William's vehicle, all my work on the Skid, everything!" Jeremy was now more frantic than before, the others began to react to his more openly appearing urgency.

"How could you lose that stuff? Don't you have it all saved on the supercomputer?" Ulrich asked, confused by the situation, almost unsure about his own question.

"I save everything I do on the supercomputer and my computer on a sort-of cloud server, a place where I can access everything no matter where I am. It was that server that was corrupted, maybe by a virus, maybe something else, but all I know is, all my work that I've done since X.A.N.A. came back is gone." Jeremy said, speaking quickly and frantically.

"Well, what are we gonna do about it?" Aelita asked, going through ideas in her head. "Didn't you back the files up on maybe a disk or in a locked file?"

Jeremy sighed, looking over at her. "I was planning on doing that when I finished the new Skid design; the last time I did that was a couple of months ago."

"Should we go to Lyoko and check everything out, see if X.A.N.A.'s behind this?" Odd asked.

"I don't think that would help. I already looked over the superscan, but nothing came up. All I can do now is hope I can uncorrupt the files, but that's a long shot at best." Jeremy said, taking a seat in his depressed state. "I guess I'll just have to work around this."

As he spoke, the lights above them flickered for a few seconds, drawing the attention of everyone in the cafeteria, before finally going out.

"Well, that's pretty weird." Odd said, the room only illuminated by the Sun that hang low in the sky.

"Do you think this has something to do with why your files got corrupted?" Ulrich asked, looking up at the lights.

"Maybe... A power outage could corrupt files if my computer was still running the programs, but I doubt the whole server would have been effected." Jeremy said, thinking over what happened last night.

"Maybe X.A.N.A. uploaded a virus into your computer just as the power went out. If X.A.N.A. timed it correctly, he could have bypassed your security systems and uploaded a virus that would corrupt the data." Aelita said, working out her idea in her head.

Jeremy though for a second, considering what she had just proposed. "That would make sense. With X.A.N.A. now working with Replicas again, it would make sense for his to destroy my data on the new Skid."

The gang looked at Jeremy, William speaking up. "Sounds like we need to go to Lyoko."

The gang all agreed, getting up from the table and walking out of the cafeteria. As they walked towards the forest, they noticed the entire school was now without power, many children talking about it in the courtyard and around school.

The gang entered the sewers and were quickly on their way to the factory, Ulrich calling Yumi on the way.

"Jim, I want you to go see what's happening with the power." Mr. Delmas said, sitting in his office, Jim standing in front of his.

"I'm on it sir!" Jim said, looking at Mr. Delmas. "I used to be an electrician back in my younger years."

"Jim, I didn't know you ever worked as an electrician." Mr. Delmas said, looking confused at Jim.

"Sorry sir, but I'd rather not talk about it." Jim said in a slightly embarrassed voice, walking out of his boss's office to investigate to power.
