A/N: Hello ma people! Thank you lots and lots for your lovely reviews, and just for continuing to read my stories! Since the last story was very angsty, I thought that this one could be a bit of fun :) So, this is for Quentasia who suggested I try a Finn/Nick story!

Summary – Morgan sets Finn and Nick up on a blind date, how will things go? So, Finicky (?) and some Morganders!

Blind Date

Greg and Morgan were sat on the sofa in the break room one night kissing each other lovingly and not caring who saw. The pair had only been a couple for about a month, so the romance was still fresh, and they were still in the stage where they didn't want to spend a moment apart.

"Guys, get a room, seriously!" Nick's voice broke their starry-eyed bubble, and the two younger CSIs pulled apart and gave him a cross look.

"You're just jealous" Greg said with a smirk.

"Yeah, you need a girl, Nick" Morgan said teasingly.

"Mmm, well it's just hard, you know? Working nights and stuff" Nick replied "Plus, I think women struggle to understand me sometimes. Ya know, because we're all so messed up in the head we kinda have to hang out with each other and no one else will get us?"

Greg chuckled "I can't argue with that"

"Let me find someone for a date with you!" Morgan said excitedly, she'd always loved playing cupid with her friends in college.

"A blind date?" Nick asked raising his eyebrow, but then shrugged "Sure, what have I got to lose"

"Awesome!" Morgan said enthusiastically, and Greg laughed, pulling her into a one armed hug.

"You're so adorable" he whispered and began kissing her neck, Morgan sighed with pleasure and closed her eyes.

Nick just rolled his eyes and left.

"I promised Nick I'd find him a date for tomorrow afternoon, but I have no idea what type of woman he likes!" Morgan fretted as she and Greg walked down the hall of the lab. "C'mon, you've known him years, what's he into?"

"As long as she has two of everything she's supposed to, I think that pretty much covers it" Greg replied and Morgan gave him an unimpressed look "Okay, okay! Erm… well, someone who's on his intellectual level, someone with a bit of feistiness, good sense of humour…oh, and they have to understand football"

"Alright…" Morgan started wracking her brain, trying to think of any of her friend's which fit that description.

"Hey, Greg!" Finn called over as she approached them.

"Hey, what's up?" Greg smiled.

"Did you watch the game last night? I think it was one of the best this season!" Finn said with a grin. "And you owe me twenty bucks, your team lost kid!"

"Yeah, yeah" Greg said with a smirk as he pulled out his wallet.

"Wait? The game?!" Morgan said as if she'd only just realised the conversation was taking place.

"Yeah, I didn't think you were really into football?" Finn asked.

"Oh, I'm not really, baseball's more my thing" Morgan said "But listen, I have a proposition for you" she said with a wide smile.

Finn would be perfect! She thought. Both the older woman and Nick worked the same shift so they could hang out more; they both had the similar scientific intellect, Finn could match Nick's feisty nature and she had a wicked sense of humour. She could also connect better with Nick on a more emotional level, as they both understood the stresses and traumas of being a CSI. And, as just proved, she loved football.

"Sure, what is it?" Finn asked.

"How do you feel about blind dates? Because I think I know someone who would be perfect for you"

"So, you're not telling Finn that it's actually Nick she's going on a date with?" Greg asked Morgan.

The pair of them were back at Morgan's apartment after she had successfully convinced Finn to go on her mystery date. Morgan had returned home to make lunch reservations for the following day at a restaurant she thought Nick and Finn would like. She'd then called to give them the details.

"Nope" Morgan said "And you can't tell Nick either!" she said sternly, poking Greg's chest.

"Ow, okay!" Greg laughed "I'm sure I can keep my mouth shut for one night"

"You better! I want it to be a surprise" Morgan explained "so they don't feel weird or pressured. I hope it goes okay" she said nervously "I just want them to have what we have, which is so perfect"

"Mmm, c'mere cupid" Greg said as he pulled his giggling girlfriend into a hungry kiss.

The following afternoon and Nick went to the restaurant Morgan had given him the address for at the time she had stated. He was a little nervous, wondering who she had picked out for him. Nick assumed one of Morgan's out of work friend's maybe a little too young to date him, so he hoped she just hadn't picked some random person up off the street.

"Finlay?" Nick asked curiously when he spotted the other CSI sat in the widow sipping her drink, she smiled up at him. "What are you doing here?"

"Hey! I could ask you the same question" Finn quipped "Morgan, set me up on a blind date, I mean I think they're pretty stupid but she seemed eager so I didn't want to let her down."

"That's weird" Nick frowned "Morgan said she'd set me up here on a blind date too…at this exact time…"

Finn's eyes widened as she realised what Morgan had done "That cheeky little madam" she said, although she had a smile on her face.

"She set us up on a date?" Nick asked incredulously as he sat down with Finn "That's…that's weird right?"

"It doesn't have to be" Finn shrugged "I mean we might as well not waste the reservation…it's whether you want to have lunch as friends…or as a date"

"What do you think?" Nick asked nervously, not wanting to scare Finn away or offend her.

"I think…that I would like to give us a try" Finn replied with a sweet smile.

And in that instant, Nick realised something. He liked Finn. He really, really liked her, and he couldn't understand why he hadn't noticed it before. She was very attractive, with her calming blue eyes and warm smile. And she was so incredibly smart, Nick would have never known before meeting her just how complex and fascinating blood could be. And she made him laugh, which was always a good thing.

"I think that would be a very good idea" Nick replied with a smile.

"Good" Finn said, this was the answer she was hoping for. "You don't mind dating an older woman who's been twice divorced then?" she asked teasingly as she poured Nick a drink.

"No, not at all!" Nick replied honestly "It's time I went for a lovely mature woman over the bimbos I used to go for"

"Mmm, well I may be mature now, but I'll have you know I was quite a wild one back in the day" Finn replied "and that side of me likes to make a guest appearance now and again" she added with a wink. Nick couldn't help letting his mouth fall slightly agape and Finn laughed.

Nick was really cute. Finn wasn't sure that a buff Texan like him would appreciate being viewed as cute, but there was somewhat of a boyish charm about him still, for instance, she'd never seen him this nervous. It was nice to see a different side of Nick, sure she loved the extra strong action man side, but Finn also liked sensitivity as a quality in men, and she knew Nick could be very sensitive. She loved how passionate he got about cases, and how he just wanted to protect everyone. She felt safe around him.

The CSIs talked a lot about trivial things. They hadn't really known each other that long, and each were eager to learn about the other's interests and about each other's backgrounds. Nick was also amused by Finn's stories of about what Russell used to be like back in Seattle. But the greatest thing of all was it didn't seem awkward, conversation flowed throughout the meal, and by the time it was over, neither CSI really wanted it to end.

"I got this" Nick said pulling out his wallet as the bill was brought over.

"Oh, no we'll go half, I insist" Finn said pulling out her purse.

"Hey, put that away" Nick said firmly yet kindly "What kind of gentleman would I be if I made the lady pay on the first date?" he asked with a lopsided smile and Finn grinned back.

"Alright, but just as long as you let me get the next one" Finn insisted.

"So, you want to do this again?" Nick asked casually, trying to hide just how overly joyed he was.

"Sure, only if you want to though" Finn replied, not wanting to push him into anything.

"Of course I want to!" Nick said enthusiastically and Finn laughed.

"Good, me too"

Later on in the evening, and Finn was at work placing some crime scene photos on the layout table.

"Finn!" an excited voice called to the senior CSI. Finn looked around with a smile to see Morgan approaching her "So, how did it go!?" the younger CSI asked eagerly.

"How did what go?" Finn replied teasingly.

Morgan rolled her eyes "The date!" she said playfully tapping Finn's arm, but then the younger CSI's face fell "You and Nick aren't mad at me are you?" she asked nervously.

"No, of course not" Finn said, giving Morgan's shoulder a nudge "We had a great time. In fact, we're going out again next Saturday, as an official second date" she said with a smile.

"Really? That's awesome!" Morgan said clapping her hands enthusiastically and Finn laughed "I'm so happy for you guys"

"Well, you know, it's early days yet" Finn warned her "But we really hit it off, not having to worry about work and stuff….and I think I really want it to work"

"Aww, that's so sweet" Morgan said pulling the older woman into a hug, and Finn laughed.

"Thanks, Morgan" the older CSI said "I really think you picked out a perfect guy for me"

"My pleasure" Morgan said with a smile as she pulled away. "Oh, speak of the devil" she said as she spotted Nick approaching with Greg.

"Hey guys!" Nick said with a smile as they entered the room.

"Evening, Finn" Greg said with a smile at the older woman "Miss Hollywood" he said seductively as he wrapped his arms around Morgan and pulled her into a kiss.

Nick and Finn smiled at them, and then at each other, both of them secretly hoping that maybe they could reach that level of intimacy soon. Greg and Morgan were a perfect couple in their opinion, and both Nick and Finn wanted something like that of their own, and they had hopefully found it.

"Thanks for setting up this afternoon, Morgan" Nick said after Greg finally managed to restrain himself. "It was really great" he said smiling at Finn.

"Don't mention it" Morgan said with a wave of dismissal "C'mon baby" she said to Greg "Let's leave these two alone" and she dragged her boyfriend from the room.

"I'm really looking forward to our next date" Nick said as he walked over to Finn.

"Me too" she said with a smile, grabbing Nick's hand and pulling him a little closer.

"I think it'll be really special" Nick said with a soft smile. "Although, I suppose any moment with you could be special" he added.

Finn gave him a lopsided smile "Thanks…you know that wild and spontaneous side of me I told you about?"

"Yeah" Nick replied.

And without further explanation, Finn pulled Nick into a deep and passionate kiss. Nick didn't try to fight it, just basked in how right it actually felt.

Neither of the CSI's had ever felt so alive in a long time. And neither had felt so smitten.

Now this is actually one of my ships, I think they would be really good together! I haven't really written it before, and I don't know how many others actually ship them, but I hope you enjoyed my interpretation :)

I got a couple more prompts which is awesome, but I'd love more!

Please Review :) xx
