Two roads diverge in a yellow wood
And I'm sorry I could not travel both
And I looked down looked one as far as I could
And I took the one less traveled by.
-Robert Frost
Chapter Five: Two Roads Diverge
(Choir Room)
"Mr. Schue," Kurt said as he enters the room. "Can I make an announcement?"
"Sure, Kurt." Mr. Schue gave Kurt he floor.
"Well, I uh. Wow. I wanted to let you all know something. Last night after the game. I told my father the truth about me being gay." Kurt looked around the room. All of them were wondering if Kurt's Dad had taken the news well. Or if it really went south for him. All of them were hoping for the first. "And he's alright with it. Turns out he already knew about me being gay, but he was just waiting for me to tell him."
"That's great Kurt." Mr. Schue said. "Alright guys we got a lot of work to do. First thing we need to do . . ."
"Excuse me?" Came a male voice and a knock on the door. Everyone turned to see who it was. "Is this where Glee Club is?"
"Yeah, it is." Mr. Schue said. "Can I help you with anything?"
"Well, I like to join." The Jock said. "Look, I can't really sing but I can dance. I can really help out with the dance moves."
"Sure. We can use all the help we can get." Mr. Schue said. "There's a seat right nest next to Tina."
"I'm Mike by the way. Mike Chang. You guys did a good job at half time."
"Yeah, you did." Came another voice from the door. Finn's head snapped around so fast that everyone thought they heard his neck cracked. It couldn't be? Not, after all the crap he'd given Finn for joining, but as Finn and the rest of the Glee Club saw. Standing there in the door frame was none other than Noah "Puck" Puckerman.
"Puck?" Finn asked. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, me and Matt decided that maybe. Just maybe, kinda, sorta. I might have been wrong." Puck said. Something didn't sound right there. Puck never admitted that he was wrong about anything. Was this about Quinn and the baby? It had to be. There was no other way Puck would join the "Loser Club" that David had countlessly heard him call Glee Club. "Look, I'm sorry for all the crap I'd given you. We cool?"
"Yeah, man. We cool."
(Choir Room)
Monday came and the New Directions had fourteen members now: Enough to qualify for Sections and have a shot at Regionals. But right now they need to figure out what they are going to do for Sectionals.
"Alright guys. We have a lot of work to do." Mr. Schue says walking in with sheet music in hand. "Since we are a team. We will win as a team. So, I figure we shake things up a bit. Give others a chance to shine and show what they can do."
Mr. Schue goes around handing out the sheet music with their names on them. He decided to give Tina a try for the solo of West Side Story. Mr. Schue would like to hear the other's voices. See what they can do and help break them out of their boxes. Unfortunately, not everyone was happy about that.
"Excuse me but this isn't the right key." Rachel said.
'Oh here we go again.' Cassidy thought. She was getting sick and entire of the Drama Queen Diva's attitude. For once, Cassidy wasn't about to step aside just to let someone else hog the spotlight they think was all theirs'. Not this time. That happened once and she wasn't about to let it happen again.
"No, it's the right key." Mr. Schue smiled. "Tina's getting a shot at the solo."
"But there must be some mix-up. I thought I made very clear that anything from West Side Story would go to me. I have a very personal connection to Maria since the age of one." Rachel complained in her I'm-better-then-you tone.
That's it! Cassidy had, had enough! She had enough of Rachel's poor sportsmen's attitude, whining about not getting the solo, demanding that she was the only one to get the solos. Well not this time. Mr. Schue's right. The New Directions need to step out of their boxes in order to have a chance to win.
"Seriously?" Cassidy asked.
"What? I'm perfect for it! And you know it!" Rachel exclaimed trying to get her point across. The room just got quiet. Oh, this was going to be good.
"No, I don't get it. I don't know how you think that you're better than everyone else in this room!" Cassidy said arms crossed standing in front of Rachel. "I don't get how you of all people, who kept saying being part of something special makes you special. Goes all 'It's-all-about-me!' 'I'm-the-only-important-one-around-here!' 'No-one's-ever-better-then-me!' Attitude! Day in and day out!"
Cassidy took a deep and continued before Rachel or anyone else could step in. Rachel wasn't the only one who can sing. Rachel's not the only one who can lead. Cassidy had enough of Rachel's Divatude and it's about time someone stood up to her.
"You want to know what you are? Fine. I'll give you a list." Cassidy said. "You're arrogant, abrasive, bossy, crazy, conceited, disrespectful, egotistical, embarrassing, frantic, heartless, horrible, hurtful, humiliating, irritating, irresponsible, idiotic, impatient, a jerk, kindles . . ."
"I think she gets the point Cass." David said. He knew that once his sister gets going. There was no stopping her. Plus, people like Rachel can't take criticism no matter how honest or light it was.
"Put a cork in it. I'm only on the kays." Cassidy said. If Rachel can't the heat then stay out of the kitchen as the saying goes. "Like-less, modifiable, Neanderthal, obsessive, oppressive, ostracize, selfish, self-center, spotlight hog, tactless, tasteless, unprofessional, un-believable, un-reasonable, whinny. You know what, Rachel? I've just about had it with your Divatude!"
"I'm the best singer here, Cassidy! And you know it! Your just jealous of me being better than you!" Rachel shouted.
"News flash, Bitchel!" Cassidy said.
The entire room just went silent. You could hear a pin drop. Everyone gapped at Cassidy. She never lost her temper before and she rarely ever cussed.
"If you can't the heat then stay of the kitchen! If you can't stand the fact that there are others in here that can lead this group and do well with the solos, well then." Cassidy pointed to the door. "There's the door. Don't let hit you on the way out!"
Rachel huffed with her nose stuck in the air and stormed out the Choir Room. Clearly her talent was too much for such a small new club. She can find something else to get the star quality treatment she deserves and not have her talent wasted.
"Nice job," Quinn said. "It's about time someone stood up to her."
"Thanks Quinn. So, Mercedes what part did you get?" Cassidy quickly change the subject.
"Wait, I'm a Jet?" Mercedes asked.
(Hallway)
How dare she? How dare she?! HOW DARE SHE?! How dare Cassidy say that Rachel wasn't a leader? How dare Cassidy even think that there was someone out there that was a much better leader then her! How dare that Broadway Wannabe say that Rachel Berry shouldn't have all the solos!
'I can sing so much better than her! I could sing circles around all those Divas-in-training!' Rachel thought as she stormed down the hallway. As she walked by the bulletin board, Rachel noticed a signup sheet for the school's musical Chicago. Perfect. What a way to show that no goo, talentless, Wannabe Diva up by being the star in the School's Musical. Ha! Take that Cassidy! I'll be the star and you will be the wannabe wants again. Rachel quickly went to get the music she needed to audition.
(Auditorium)
Rachel found the perfect song to perform for her audition. It was a song that she felt so connected too. Especially after everything she's been going through. And what better way to show everyone what they are missing then to sing a song she can do with her eyes close and blow all the members of the Glee Club away. Not to mention when Rachel gets the lead role, what a better way to rub it in to Cassidy.
"Rachel Berry!" Mr. Ryerson called.
"Hi. I'm Rachel Berry and I'll be performing Being Good Isn't Good Enough by the all-time performer Ms. Barbra Streisand." Rachel said with a beaming smile. She knew she has this in the bag. No one was as talented as her and no one can show her up here. Not even the wannabe.
(Rachel)
Being good isn't good enough
Being good won't be good enough
When I fly, I must fly extra high
And I'll need special wings so far to go
From so far below
Rachel sang with all her heart. She really felt like this song represented what she was going through. No one appreciating her talent. Clearly Cassidy was just jealous of what Rachel was capable of. Why else would she say that Rachel wasn't good enough to lead?
(Rachel)
Should I try?
Am I strong enough?
Is there time, have I long enough?
Gotta fly and if I fall
That's the way it's gotta be
There's no other way for me
Being good just won't be good enough
I'll be the best or nothing at all
Rachel would on Broadway. Would be the Star. The one who would show all of them that without her. They wouldn't have a chance at Sectionals or Regionals. Figgins would disband the club and she will be the only one who would have something to show case her talent for.
Oh, how good sweet revenge feels right now. The Wannabe won't have anything to show case her screeching voice! Yes, it truly felt good being on stage auditioning for something that's worth her talent and her Dads hard earn money with all the lesson she was given.
So why does it feel like it something was missing? Why did feel like it was a huge mistake? Why did Rachel feel like she was doing something so very wrong that should feel so very right?
(Rachel)
I'll try, am I strong enough?
Is there time, have I long enough?
Gotta fly and if I fall
That's the way it's gotta be
There's no other way for me
Being good just won't be good enough
I'll be the best or nothing at all
Rachel finished her song and was greeted with a standing ovation. This was what it was like to have the star treatment she deserved! She was the Star now! And will always be the Star in the school musicals. It will look so good on her college applications when she applies and when she stars on Broadway.
So why doesn't it feel so good? Why doesn't feel like what it should feel to be the center stage? Why does it feel like she was missing out on something? Something that she shouldn't have left behind. But what? Rachel didn't know. She just chalked it up as her still being upset over what Cassidy had said.
(Choir Room)
It's been a week since Rachel quite Glee Club to go star in the school's musical, Chicago. Now with Rachel out of Glee Club. Mr. Schue decided to give Quinn a chance at the solo. Invitationals were coming up. If they did well then they had a really chance at winning Regionals.

Just then Quinn wasn't feeling so well. She felt her breakfast about to come up and quickly ran out of the room to the Girls Bathroom. Everyone looked to Finn for what was going on. Everyone except Cassidy and Puck.
"I think she's catchin' the stomach bug." Cassidy said.
"Yeah," Finn said catching on. He made a mental note to ask Cassidy later. "Yeah, it's been going around."
"Alright, take five, everyone." Mr. Schue said.
Cassidy left to go check on Quinn and to see if it was time that they told the New Directions what was going on with her. She had a feeling that sooner or later the truth will come out and it will either be Puck or Rachel that spills the beans.
(Girls Bathroom)
Rachel was starting to think that this was the worst and biggest mistake she ever did. And that was including a couple schemes she did to make sure she got the lead role when trying out for the community theater. Right, now. Everyone was fully criticizing her singing and dance moves. Mr. Ryerson just kept banging his cane on the floor barking orders to the point where Rachel stormed out to make sure none of them saw her cry.
Once she was in the Girls Bathroom. Rachel let herself cry. Man, she really didn't know what to do. She really thought that joining the school musical would be a good thing. To show case her talent and to show everyone what she can do. Yes, she was selfish and self-center but why would that be a bad thing? If you're the best then you should have nothing but the best parts! And she did have the lead role in Chicago. So, why did this feel so wrong? Rachel was actually starting to miss all the fights and disagreements she had with Cassidy.
Maybe, Rachel could quit the play and go back and put her acting skills to the test. By giving out a heart wrenching tearful I-lost-my-way speech. Then she could go back to being the spotlight once again. Cassidy would be a challenge. Not stepping down and giving others the courage to challenge Rachel for the solos. Oh, well. Rachel can easily put them in their rightful places, singing back up to her and Finn, in no time.
Rachel will just have to be careful around Cassidy. Until she can find a way to get rid of the thorn in side, Broadway Wannabe Cassidy. She'll just have to play it safe. Right, now she needs to back to rehearsal and see what will be the perfect way to quit the play.
(Music Room)
The opportunity for Rachel to have an excuse to quit the play, come back to Glee Club and have a chance to start stealing Finn away from the Blond Bitch. Rachel was about to go over the song once again and start memorizing her lines: When none other than Finn Hudson walked through the door with his trademark handsome smirk. He looked so good and dreamy.
'No, Rachel. Don't blush and go all gooey eyed.' Rachel told herself. So, sue her. She couldn't help but melt with those chocolate brown eyes and his boyish good looks.
"Hey, Rach." Finn greeted.
"Hey," Rachel said giving him her all time winning smile.
"So, how's the play going?" Finn asked.
"Oh, it's going great. Really, great. You know I'm getting the star treatment here than I didn't get in Glee Club." Rachel lied. "I'm never going back. Clearly my talent was too much for them."
"Not going to get an argument from me." Finn smiled.
"I'm-I'm not?" Rachel asked.
"Yeah, I mean. You're one of the most talented people that I know of." Finn said getting a little closer. "I mean more than that guy down at the mall who can juggle chainsaws."
At that moment Rachel accidently knocked over her bottle of water. When she went to pick it up. She bumped into a couple of chairs and had them crashing to the floor along with a music stand.
"Oh, my god. I'm so sorry." Rachel said with her cheeks turning crimson.
"Hey, no, it's okay. You know I think you're just stressed out. You know what?" Finn was suddenly struck by an idea to convince Rachel to come back to Glee. Cassidy was excellent but there was something about Rachel that Finn liked. Not, in a girlfriend kind of way because he's dating Quinn and all but yeah. Rachel's a good friend. That's all. A good friend and friends need to stick together.
"We should going bowling. I always bowl when I'm stressed out. Maybe, it'll help you out." Finn suggested.
(Bowling Alley)
So, that's how Rachel wound up being on a "date" with Finn Hudson. Rachel put on her most flattering outfit she owned to try and grab his attention. And the most flattering make-up. She had to play this right. There's no telling how many more opportunities she'll get to steal – make– Finn see that Quinn's no good for him. That she, Rachel Berry, the upcoming Broadway Star was a much better fit him.
"Do I have to put my fingers in the holes?" Rachel asked. Hey, she never been bowling in her entire life. She kept trying to hit the right notes in Defying Gravity and perfect Don't Rain on my Parade.
"That's the idea. Ball sharing is all part of the experience." Finn then grabbed one of the balls and handed it to Rachel. "Here try the pink one. Pink's your favorite color right?"
Finn then went to show Rachel how to bowl. She tossed the ball and it wound up being a gutter ball. Finn didn't seem disappointed. Almost as if he was expecting it. He then went on and showed her how to handle the ball, walking up to the line and throw the ball down the lane. After a while they decided to go and get some pizza.
"So, how's Glee going?" Rachel asked. She was really starting to think that she really did make huge mistake in quitting Glee Club.
"It's going good. Though, I think Cassidy kinda misses having you around." Finn said.
"Really, why?" Rachel asked. Cassidy was starting to miss her? Well, well, well. So the Wannabe needs the pro how to show her how things are done.
"Well, I think she misses your Broadway insight. I'm mean you and Cassidy do make good team captains. You balance each other out." Finn explained. "You, really need to come back to Glee, Rach. Everyone misses you."
"Everyone misses my talent." Rachel said.
"No, that's not it." Finn tried to get his point across.
Cassidy was a good leader but sometimes they just needed that push. Rachel's bossy and at times self-center but that's why her and Cassidy work so well together. Cassidy's organized and fair. Rachel knows music and she does have a tendency to be bossy when it comes to dancing. Put those two together and the Glee Club really has a shot at Regionals.
"Look we're all friends in there. We're all good friends and good friends need to stick together." Finn said. "Come on it's your last ball. Just like the first one only better."
Rachel grabbed the ball and rolled down the lane. Strike!
"Yes!" Rachel joyfully leaped into Finn's arms.

Finn pulled Rachel towards him and they were ready to dance the tango.

Rule number one, is that you gotta have fun,
But baby when you're done, you gotta be the first to run
Rule number two, just don't get attached to,
Somebody you could lose
So le-let me tell you
Finn and Rachel danced all the way to the Bingo part of the Alley. Finn twirls Rachel around and the other members join in as well.

Finn and Rachel made their way to the entrance of the Bowling Alley where everyone was getting their shows and blowing all of their spare change on the arcade machines.

(Quinn's Room)
Quinn sat on her bed in her bedroom. She was starting to think about Finn and Puck. Does she really want to tell Finn that he's not the father? Can she even tell Finn that he's not the father? How can she tell the Glee Club of her being pregnant? In a way she knew that Man Hands will try to swoop in and steal Finn from her. It was just a matter of time.
(Quinn)

(Bowling Alley)
Rachel grabbed the ball and rolled down the lane. Strike!
"Yes!" Rachel joyfully leaped into Finn's arms.
The spark she felt when Finn first join Glee Club and sang Grease was there. She was pretty sure that he felt it too: That they would be good together as boyfriend and girlfriend. Once he dumbed that flimsy, two bit, two faced, bossy, selfish, self-center, Blond Bitch, Quinn Fabray! Then Rachel will have everything that she wanted. Lead Alpha Female in Glee Club, getting rid of the thorn in her side Cassidy, the starring role in Glee Club, taking Nationals, being popular. Yes, this was perfect. Which, was why Rachel decided to kiss Finn after leaping into his arms when she got her first strike.
(Choir Room)
The next day, everyone was waiting for Mr. Schue to arrive. Puck was strumming his guitar and listening in on the little group over by the piano. Santana was helping Britney out with her homework so they didn't have anything else to do later that night. And David was going over a few strategies for hockey.
"I seriously doubt it's the flu. I mean it would explain the coming up but not the mood swings." Kurt said.
"Maybe Mother Nature finally had enough of her bitchin' attitude?" Artie said.
Puck stopped strumming and looked at all of them like they were a bunch of idiots. Yeah, he wasn't doing well in Science and Health class but come on! Even he could tell what was going on, even if Finn hadn't let it slip, yet. Everyone was trying to figure out what was going on with Quinn: Everyone except for Cassidy.
Puck stood up and looked at the group like they were the world's biggest idiots. "Are you all that stupid? Maybe, Quinn isn't even sick at all."
"Enough Puck!" Cassidy said drawing everyone's attention. "He's your best friend. You shouldn't be gossiping behind their backs!"
"You know, don't you?" Puck accused. Well, well, well. So, Cassidy wasn't little "Miss Innocent" after all.
"Uh, know what?" Cassidy played dump.
"That Quinn's got a bun in the oven." Puck said deadpan.
Cassidy stared at him wide eyed. How did this Neanderthal find out? Cassidy only knew because she was with Quinn when the home pregnancy test said that Quinn was pregnant. And Quinn only told Finn. Of course, Finn. He told his best friend in the whole wide world that his girlfriend was pregnant.
"No, that can't be true." Santana said. "Quinn would have told me if she was pregnant. The three of us, we're like this." She put three of her fingers together to show them what she meant. She looked over at Cassidy and realization dawned on her. "Oh, my god. It's true, isn't it? That's why you were coming up with excuses for her when she ran out of here last week."
Cassidy glanced at her brother. He nodded. Well, crap. Might as well get this over with. She was hoping to have Quinn tell the Glee Club herself. But that didn't turn out to be the plan after all.
"Yeah, it's true." Cassidy said.
"Wait. Then who's the baby's daddy?" Mercedes asked looking around the room confused. Quinn's knocked up? Well, now that explained a whole lot of what's been going on.
"Who do you think's the father?" Puck demanded. "It's Finn of course. I'm mean come on. They'd been together for over year now!"
Just then Rachel walked into the room with a beaming smile plastered on her face. "Yes, you heard right. I'm back!" She noticed all the Glee Club members talking to themselves and Cassidy looked like she was about to murder Puck. "What's going on here?"
"Sorry, Rachel but Glee Club just got rocked with it first ever scandal. Quinn's pregnant with Finn's baby."
(Hallway)
Rachel couldn't believe the scandalizing news she just heard from Kurt! Rachel couldn't believe that she actually thought Finn liked her. She couldn't believe that she let herself be heartbroken by him. She couldn't believe that he didn't tell her last night! Everyone knew but her that Quinn was pregnant!
But that still didn't explain why Cassidy looked like she was about be the new murderess on CSI. Oh, my god did Cassidy like Puck? Was that why she looked like she was going to kill him for spilling the beans about Finn and Quinn?
"Finn!"
Finn turned around at the sound of his name. He saw Rachel walking up to him and was hoping to see her with one of her bright smiles. So, he put on what he presumed was one of his most charming smiles.
SLAP!
"How could you not tell me that Quinn's pregnant with your child?" Rachel screeched loud enough so only he could hear her.
"Who told you this?" Finn asked shocked. He was afraid that Rachel would go blabbing to the whole school and that was it.
"Everyone knows but me! Why didn't you tell me last night?! I can't believe that I actually thought you had feeling for me!" Rachel yelled.
"Look Rachel. Your one of the best singers that I know and we need you. You and Cassidy work so well together and if you came back. Then I have a chance at a scholarship for college, so I can support my kid." Finn said.
"You could have just told me! I would've come back if you had been honest with me!" Rachel said. "I can't believe I actually thought that you had feelings for me!"
"I do, Rach. I don't know what the future of me and Quinn are. But that kiss was real." Finn tried to explain more to himself then to Rachel.
"Real or not it ruined any chances of me coming back!" Rachel stormed off, leaving a very confused Finn.
(Inventationals)
Inventationals came and this was the first performance for the New Directions. The Auditorium was packed. The New directions were extremely excited but at the same time very nervous. This was the first time they will be performing as group in front of a live audience. If they were good, Sectionals here we come and look at Regionals! But if it didn't go well. None of them wanted to think about what might happen. They have very good voices and the songs they knew by heart.
"Alright, guys. You're very first performance in front of a live audience." Mr. Schue said with a proud smile. "The house is packed and I know you guys will do great out there."
The New Directions got on stage and waiting for Figgins to wrap up his extremely no-one-gives-a-care boring speed. The curtain parted. This was it.

Ever since I was a young boy,
I've played the silver ball.
From Soho down to Brighton
I must have played them all
(Finn)
But I ain't seen nothing like him
In any amusement hall . . .
That deaf dumb and blind kid
(New Directions)
Sure plays a mean pin ball!
(David)
He stands like a statue,
Becomes part of the machine.
Feeling all the bumpers
Always playing clean
(Artie)
He plays by intuition,
The digit counters fall.
That deaf dumb and blind kid
(New Directions)
Sure plays a mean pin ball!
He's a pin ball wizard
There has got to be a twist.
A pin ball wizard,
S'got such a supple wrist.
(Tina)
'How do you think he does it?
I don't know!
What makes him so good?'
He ain't got no distractions

Can't hear those buzzers and bell,
Don't see lights a flashin'
Plays by sense of smell.
(Mercedes)
Plays by sense of smell.
Always has a replay,

That deaf dumb and blind kid
(New Directions)
Sure plays a mean pin ball.

I thought I was
The Bally table king.
But I just handed
My pin ball crown to him.
(New Directions)
Even on my favorite table
He can beat my best.
His disciples lead him in
And he just does the rest.
He's got crazy flipper fingers
Never seen him fall . . .
That deaf dumb and blind kind
Sure plays a mean pin ball.!
He's a pin ball wizard
There has got to be a twist.
A pin ball wizard,
S'got such a supple wrist.
The New Directions prepared to do their next song. Out in the crowd, Cassidy could have sworn she saw Rachel standing there. Cassidy would never admit this even under medieval methods. But she was hoping Rachel would come around and rejoin New Directions. Rachel was everything that Cassidy had said she was but that girl did have talent and the potential to go places. If Rachel changed her attitude, Cassidy wouldn't have any problems being friends with her. Oh, well. Here's hoping for the best.

Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah

(Cassidy)
You're not alone
Together we stand
I'll be by your side
You know I'll take your hand
(Finn)
When it gets cold
And it feels like the end
There's no place to go
You know I won't give in
(New Directions)
No I won't give in
Keep holding on

Nothing you can say
There's no other way when it comes to the truth, so
Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through,
We'll make it through
(Cassidy)
So far I away
I wish you were here
Before it's too late
This could all disappear
(Mercedes)
Before the doors close
And it comes to an end
With you by my side
I will fight and defend,
I'll fight and defend ya yaaaa
(New Directions)
Keep holding on,
'Cause you know we'll make it through,
We'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you,
I'm here for you
(Finn and Cassidy)
There's nothing you can say
(New Directions)
Nothing you can say
(Finn and Cassidy)
Nothing you can do
(New Directions)
Nothing you can do
(Cassidy)
There's no other
When it comes to the truth so
(New Directions)
Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through,
We'll make it through
Here me when I say when I say I'll believe
Nothing gonna change nothings gonna change destiny
Whatever's meant to be will work out perfectly
Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through,
We'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you,
I'm here for you

Nothing you can do
(New Directions)
Nothing you can do
There's no other
When it comes to the truth so
Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through,
We'll make it through
Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah
Bum, Bum, Bum Bum
Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah
Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah
Keep holding on
'That should be me up there!' Rachel thought. 'Not, Cassidy leading them on but me!'
Rachel was jealous of Cassidy. Ever since Cassidy came along. Everyone followed her. Everyone took what Cassidy said to heart. Yes, Cassidy gave them all some constructive criticism. But she didn't degrade anyone at all.
Rachel made up her mind. She would quit the play and rejoin the New Directions. She could easily steal her spot back from Cassidy in no time. And when she comes up with a perfect plan, Cassidy will be out of New Directions and Rachel will be leading them all (with every single solo) to Nationals. Not to mention she won't be able to show Finn what an awful girlfriend, Quinn was and to show him how much of wonderful (and the rightfully so one) girlfriend, Rachel would be without being in New Directions.
She'll go back stage to the changing room. Give them all a heart wrenching speech about how wrong she was. About how she lost her way and how she was too caught up in her own ambition. And be welcomed with open arms and then she could set her plans to action.
And that's what Rachel did.

A/N: Okay, I know a lot of you want to come at me with pitchforks and torches for making Rachel a real B**ch here. But as I was writing, I did have Rachel have a change of heart right after the performance. However, it was just way too soon for Rachel to start having the all mighty change of heart; I learned my lesson, lesson. But don't worry. Rachel does change for the better. Just not yet.
Eraman: The next chapter Mash Up. Will have the movie quote I'm blaming you for.
Hint #1: You gave it to me when we were going back and forth talking about my story.
Hint #2: It's an all-time classic 80's Science Fictions Movie that has to do with time traveling.
Hint #3: It's parried all the time and they have a ride made of it in Universal Studios.
That's all the hints I can give you without giving it away.
