A/N: For those of you who are Rachel Berry fans. I moved to Florida! Like I said in this story earlier, Rachel will get better but she doesn't learn the "lesson" just yet.
Also, the whole thing of Coach Sue Sylvester being the Co-Director never happens. That storyline didn't need it to happen. She's Sue Sylvester, Master Planner and Ultimate Manipulator.
A/N 2: Sectionals is only a few chapters away! OMG! And I need two songs! HELP! I need a ballot for either Rachel or Mercedes or Kurt to sing and I need a group song! If anyone has an idea for a song for me, please put it in a review or PM me! You will get credit for it!
Now on with the show!
Chapter 7: And Your Decision Is? Part 1
(Hallway)
School was finally over and done with and David couldn't help but nearly jump for joy. It wasn't that David didn't like school, as a matter of fact. He enjoyed the challenges of the academics. Right now, David's holding on to a nice 3.5 grade point average. It was the fact that the guys, more specifically, the Jocks, wouldn't let up. The jabs, the jeers and the so called "harmless" and "good nature" teasing and ribs he was getting: Was getting old fast. David was so temped to just come of the closet right then and there and just say "eff it."
But the fact that David was sure that several of the jocks would be targeting Kurt for turning him gay. As if vampires actually existed. You can't turn someone straight or gay. What next? Professor Dumbledore will be showing up at his front porch with a Hogwarts letter? Not to mention that David still hadn't came out to his family yet, nor to the Glee Club for that matter. So for now, David just has to suck it up and deal with it.
David was on his way to meet up with Kurt at his locker and walk with him to Glee. David knew that the rumor mill was going to be buzzing but you know what. Everyone knew about Santana and Britney being an item. So, it doesn't really matter if everyone thinks that he and Kurt are dating. He really hopes that when he does come out that he and Kurt would be an item. Okay, focus. Now's not the time to be daydreaming Dave.
David met up with Kurt at his locker. He and Mercedes were talking about some musical that was playing on Broadway. Wicked? David thinks that's the name of it.
"What's Wicked?" David asked walking with Kurt and Mercedes to Glee. Kurt happily went on explaining what the musical Wicked was about. Half way to Glee, Mercedes gasped, and Kurt froze.
SPLASH!
Purple juice and ice were dripping and steaming off of David's red angry face.
"What the hell, Prick?" David screamed grabbing a hold of Rick "the Stick" Nelson.
"Oh, I've been wanting to do that ever since Sixth Grade, when you made fun of my do." Rick said.
"You're stupid 'Billy Ray Cyrus' rip off mullet?" David asked.
Ever since David was little, his parents let him try out for different sports. The one that caught David's attention and really made his heart soar was hockey. David was a natural and was really good at it. It wasn't until sixth grade when he first met a lot of the guys that would later become his teammates in high school.
One of them, unfortunately, was the Captain of the Hockey Team, Rick "the Sick" Nelson. Or as David and about everyone else calls him, Rick "the Prick" Nelson. Nelson was a hot headed, egotistical, spotlight hog. Nelson thought that he and only he could lead the hockey team to victory. Forgetting all the players who freakin' blocked the guys' on the rival team or the ones who pass him the puck for him to score.
When David first met Nelson, he had no problem laughing and making fun of Nelson's stupid hair style. The guy came out on the ice like one of those from Disney's The Mighty Ducks, playing for the Hawks: With his stupid eighties hair style mullet that looked nearly identical to the one that Billy Ray Cyrus was famous for supporting.
"My hair is not stupid!" Nelson shouted.
"Ah, yeah, it is." David said not bothering to hide his amusement. "And why did you slushy one of your own teammates?"
"Well, since you joined lullaby loser club and are willing hanging out with the resident fag." Nelson said with a sneer making David tighten his hold on Nelson's shirt and ball up his free hand into a fist. "You have officially dropped on the social ladder. It's open season, Karofsky."
"Come on, David." Kurt pleaded putting his hand on David's arm. "He's not worth it."
David looked at Kurt and then back at Nelson. Kurt was right. This jackass wasn't worth him getting a detention for, but if anyone asked if David intentionally shoved Nelson a little too hard into the lockers. David would not confirm nor deny it and just kept on walking.
(Choir Room)
Quit Glee Club or Else!
Quit Glee Club or Else!
QUIT GLEE CLUB OR ELSE!
Those were the words Cassidy read when she found the note in her locker. Those words still haunted her. Someone wanted her to quit Glee Club, badly, but who? Who would want Cassidy to leave so much that they go through all this trouble?
Stephanie? Stephanie Smith was the Captain of the Women's Basketball Team and was not at all pleased that Cassidy chose to do both Basketball and Glee Club. But would she go this far as to make Cassidy quit? Cassidy wasn't sure.
Rachel? Well, if anyone was about to paint themselves as the number one suspect with all the crap Cassidy has been put through. Rachel would be suspect number one. Ever since Cassidy joined Glee Club: Rachel has made it her lifelong mission to be nothing but absolutely horrible to Cassidy. And Cassidy still doesn't know what she did to be on Rachel's permanent bad side, but it was getting old, fast.
Well, Cassidy's a Karofsky. And Karofsky's don't scare easily, nor do they give up without a fight. Whoever, wrote this not better bring it, because Cassidy might lose this battle but she's going down fighting.
(Choir Room)
"And the slushy war had begun." Britney stated the obvious.
"And if David, Quinn and Finn got nailed. None of us are safe." Rachel said.
She felt a little justify by the fact that Quinn gotten a taste of her own medicine. Though, Rachel won't be one hundred percent satisfy until both of her major competitions were permanently gone from the Club. Oh, well. They say that patience was a virtue. So, Rachel will just have to wait to set things in place. Then she'll be the top Diva with Finn on her arm as permanent boyfriend and everything will be fine. Now, how to do that exactly?
"Alright guys." Mr. Schue said walking in to the Choir Room with sheet music. "I know that we're not exactly on track for Sectionals. But you guys seemed to really enjoy Mash Ups and I want to keep you guys fired up. Plus, there's important lesson to be learned about Mash Ups. Sometimes things seem so different that don't go together. Like chocolate and bacon."
"Or Glee Club and football," Finn said while Quinn helped cleaned him up.
"Exactly. But you guys have proven that it is possible to be a great combination. So, here's one of my personal favorite song. And your homework for this week is to come up with an expected mash up to go with it." Mr. Schue said handing out the music.
"Sharp Dress Man?" Kurt asked.
"Man, this song is old school." Mercedes laughed.
"All right, um, Artie? Try to follow along on the base. Finn take us through it." Mr. Schue said.
"Oh, uh, I can't. Sorry Mr. Schue, I got corn syrup in my eye." Finn said.
"Okay, um, Puck. How about it?" Mr. Schue asked.
"I don't really grove on ZZ Top." Puck mumbled.
"I'm shocked at the lack of leading man ambition in this room right now." Rachel said causing everyone to look at her.
Kurt, feeling a bit brave and wanting to try and impress David right then and there: If there was any classic rock song that would definitely describe Kurt and quite possibly be his theme song. It was this song. It's one of his favorites from his Dad's shop. And quite possibly how his Dad might have figured out that he was gay, since his son was always a "sharp dress man."
"It's alright, Rachel," Kurt said. He stood up and unbuttons the two top buttons of his shirt and took off his tie. "I'll just have to show these guys how it's done."
"Ow, challenge!" Mercedes exclaims.
"Mike. I might need you for chorography though." Kurt said shyly. Kurt waited for Mike to stand next to him and nodded to the band.
(Kurt)
Clean shirt, new shoes
And I don't know where I am goin' to.
Silk suit, black tie,
I don't need a reason why.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl goes crazy 'bout a sharp dressedman.
Kurt and Mike spinned around gesturing to their outfits: And strut like they own the run way. Kurt couldn't help it, but smile. This was his element. He felt free and alive and didn't care what rumors would be going around the school about him.
(Kurt)
Gold watch, diamond ring,
I ain't missin' a single thing.
And cufflinks, stick pin,
When I step out I'm gonna do you in.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.
Kurt sat down with Quinn and Santana on either side of him with his arms around them and Britney sitting on his lap. Kurt was kinda glad that he did come out to the Glee Club about being gay, because he was pretty sure that Puck or Finn would be giving him the "stay away from my girlfriend" threat if he didn't.
(Kurt)
Top coat, top hat,
I don't worry coz my wallet's fat.
Black shades, white gloves,
Lookin' sharp, lookin' for love.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.
Kurt finished singing and took a bow. He couldn't believe it. He just performed in front of everyone! Kurt took a chance and glanced over at David. David had a bit of smile on. He seemed a bit impressed about how much Kurt was willing step up to the plate. Not to mention show up Puck and Finn. It's about time someone knock those two down a peg or two.
(Football Field)
Well, things were just going too good to be true. With every good thing happening, something bad had to come along with it. That was exactly what Finn and David found out when they went to football practice. There was a rumor going around that Coach Tanaka and Miss Pillsbury were engaged and that both of them couldn't agree to a song to dance too. Now, the rumor was that Tanaka and Pillsbury had asked Mr. Schuester to do a mash up for their two songs. Tanaka wanted the Thong Song and Miss Pillsbury wanted I Could Have Dance All Night. Now, Coach Tanaka has blown a fuse! He's having an additional practice and making all the guys who are in Glee Club choose: Football or Glee Club.
David didn't know what to do. He knew that Matt, Mike and even Puck (he still didn't know what made Puck choose Glee over his rep) would choose Glee Club. And Finn would choose Football. Crap. What about Cassidy? Was her Coach going to make her choose between being on the Woman's Basketball Team or Glee Club? David hoped not.
(Classroom)
Rachel was in her Honors English class with the biggest scowl. She was supposed to be jotting down what was on the white board and be taking notes on the research paper she needed to do. But instead, Rachel was jotting down all kinds of ideas and schemes she could come up with to get rid of Cassidy and to steal Finn away from the Blond Bitch. So far, all she has was a half a page of worthless ideas. Either they sounded good on paper or in her head but never in real life. Or they just weren't good enough.
With Cassidy, Rachel needed her to either quit Glee Club or have everyone in Glee Club to agree to kick her out. So far, that was proving to be harder than she thought. If Rachel didn't get rid of Cassidy, then her spotlight of being Captain of Glee Club, the Alpha Female and the lead female soloist, will be gone! The chances of her getting in to the most elite acting colleges and staring on Broadway are slipping right through her figures; if Rachel doesn't find a way to get rid of Cassidy and take full creative control of Glee Club! Now how to that was the million dollar question.
"Rachel Berry and Jacob Ben Israel," the teacher called.
Wait, what? Since when are we doing partners? Wait. Jacob? The gossiping stalkerazzi journalist was in this class? Well, well, well. Now, things are starting to look up for Rachel.
(Lima Bean)
"So, Rachel, what d'ya think of fate making us partners?" Jacob asked after getting their drinks: Hot tea for Rachel (have to save her voice for Broadway) and coffee for Jacob.
It was Rachel's idea and insistence that they meet up at the Lima Bean after school. It was the only place Rachel will ever be in public place with Jacob. Without anyone from school thinking they're on a date. Let alone Jacob's delusional beliefs of her ever being even remotely into him.
How can she be? Just look at him! He's a complete dork! He thinks that his blog will make him popular. He writes lies (mostly about Rachel) without caring whose reputation he's ruining. And he thinks that he will be the number one most famous reporter of all time. And to top it all off, Jacob thinks that being a "Jewfro" automatically makes Rachel secretly in love with him! Get real! Rachel would rather dump a guy via text message or on the answering machine then to be into a guy like Jacob!
He's not Finn! He's not cute. He's not on the football team. He's not popular. He's not getting out of Lima. He can't even sing! Come on, how can Rachel be into a guy like that? She couldn't be!
But as the old saying goes, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Jacob maybe the most annoying loser on the face of the planet at McKinley High School, but he as his qualities: Qualities, that Rachel really needs right now, in order to put her plan in to action. Qualities like getting the dirtiest, baddest, scandalous, secrets that no one would want anyone to know about, let alone, read about. Rachel might not be able to stand the guy, but she has absolutely no problem in using him to her advantage.
"The fates have spoken and what better way to get to know your classmates then to be partners with them." Rachel put on her most flattery smile she could muster, putting her acting skills to the test. "So, Jacob. How's that . . . Blog of yours going?"
"Oh, it's going great! I'm starting on really a big story. A big scandal that rumor has it, started up over the summer." Jacob said. Wow, this guy was not only annoying but also a major chatter box! Focus, Rachel, focus! "You haven't been reading my, blog have you." It wasn't a question.
"No, I haven't." Rachel answered honestly. But she has to play her cards right. "It's just not juicy enough, you know? No one's going to be reading about which MILF Puck did or which flavor of the month, nameless jock, Santana's breaking up with to be with someone else. You really have to dig down and deliver some major scandalous dirty little secret. Otherwise, you can kiss your blog and your future journalism dreams goodbye."
"Ah, oh, really? It's not?" Jacob asked.
Wait for it.
"Oh, wait. I know something that will be really juicy and very scandalous." Jacob said proudly. He pulled out his laptop notebook. Clicked and typed a few buttons. Then showed Rachel the story he was working on.
The story headline read: Teen Pregnancy at William McKinley. The story was about Head Cheerio Quinn Fabray caring Finn Hudson's child. Although Rachel had her doubts, because the way Finn kept saying how it happened; it sounds more and more like a big lie to get Finn to believe he's the father.
'Hhhhmmm. What a perfect opportunity to get some real dirt on Quinn.' Rachel thought. If Finn really wasn't the father and Quinn has been lying about who the real father of her child was. Then Rachel's chances of not only being Finn's girlfriend just went up tenfold. And who better to do all the dirty work and to find out for sure then Jacob Ben Israel?
Having Cassidy quit Glee Club and/or get kicked out of Glee Club and having the hottest, juiciest, scandalous, dirtiest, little secret of Quinn Fabray to spill to Finn. So, that Finn will see what a horrible , ungrateful, selfish, Queen Bitch, Quinn was and go running to his rightfully true girlfriend. Who will love, honor, and be the co-captain of the Glee Club, with victory after victory, thanks to her numerous solos. Rachel Barbra Berry.
Score! Hook. Line. Sinker.
(Study Hall)
Today's the day. Today's the big show down. Today's the day where all the Glee Clubbers find out if all the guys on the football team choose either Football or Glee Club. And David still doesn't know what to do. He loves being in Glee. Being able to just be himself and doesn't have to be anybody else. Doesn't have to be the dumb bullying jock just to fit in without being a target himself. Doesn't have to worry about being caught staring at someone and then everyone thinking or jumping to the wrong conclusion. Doesn't have to worry about doing or saying something stupid or have to worry about being a fake or having fake friends (who are only your friends for being popular or being on a sports team) but having friends. Having real friends; real friends who don't care about what people think or say or do, just to fit in and be part of the "in crowd."
But on the other hand, if David chooses Football over the Glee Club: Then that means still being on top of the social ladder, being popular and getting away with murder. Teachers would just turn a blind eye or deaf ear because you have the Cheerios uniform or the Letterman's jacket. Having everyone, part like the red sea when they see David walk down the halls. Having all girls look at him with the star filled puppy dog eyes. Having all the jealous and envious looks from the guys. Having none stop party invites. And having to be the biggest fake in the closet jackass to everyone in order to stay on top and to stay in the in crowd. Yeah, David knew what would happen if he chooses Football over Glee.
But wasn't this his second chance? Wasn't this his chance to rewrite all the regrets and do some things differently? It was but first there was something or rather, a someone that David needed to talk too.
(Choir Room)
Four minutes until the big show down. Cassidy couldn't believe Coach Tanka would do this! Well, actually, after meeting the (for a lack of better term) man. Yeah, Cassidy could actually believe that Coach Tanka would do something like this. She just hoped that this didn't give Coach Sylvester any ideas on how to destroy the club. Cassidy knew that if it came right down to it, that all the Cheerios would pick being popular, instead of hanging around with a group of unknowns. Although, she wasn't sure about Quinn: Yes, Quinn was the Queen Bee, selfish, self-center and she does tend to care more about what people in the higher class stander ranking thinks about her. But underneath it all, she really wasn't that bad.
Cassidy also knew that it was extremely difficult for her brother. David has always loved sports and being on the sports team. She could just see it. David would always hold his head high, walking a bit straighter, a slightly extra spring in his step. She really wanted to be out of her brother's shadow. But at the same time, Cassidy really did hope that she would be seeing her older brother walking through that door.
One minute. Would it be consider really selfish of her, if Cassidy wished having all the guys choose Glee Club over Football? The likely hood of that happening was slim to none. And Cassidy could see Slim walking towards the door. She crossed her fingers and wished that all the guys would choose Glee Club though.
3:30, show time. The room was so quiet; you could hear a cotton ball drop. Everyone turns and looked at the door. No one. No one was walking through that door. Not Finn. Not Puck. Not Mike or Matt. Not even her brother. Cassidy was expecting it though: Hell she even knew that her brother would more than likely stay on the Football team then stay in a not-so-cool club like, Glee Club.
"It looks like they're not coming," Mr. Schue sighs. "I'm really sorry guys."
"I can't believe this. I thought they were our friends. How can they just abandon us?" Mercedes said.
"Well, think about. If you had to choose between being popular and staying on top of the social ladder. Or being with a bunch of social unknown delinquents. Which one would you choose?" Santana asked bluntly.
Well, Santana's got a point. But still . . . Just then, Mike Chang, followed by Matt Ruthford walked into the Choir Room. Santana and Britney sighed in relief as they went to hug their boyfriends.
Cassidy was still looking at the door. She kept her fingers crossed hoping that she would see her brother walk through that door. She didn't know at the time, but Kurt was doing the exact same thing. Both of them knew that if David quit the Football team, he still have Hockey.
Then the unexpected happened. Noah "Puck" Puckerman walked through that door, hands in his pockets and head down. Unsure if he was doing the right thing. What surprised Cassidy the most was that Rachel broke in to the biggest and proudest smile. Not the one she always gives when Cassidy walks in or the one she keeps giving Finn, but an almost a true one.
Why was Rachel giving her man that look? Wait. "Her man?" Since when did Cassidy ever thought of Puck as "her man?" Like the badass "sex shark" would ever be interested in her? Let alone why was she even into a guy like that? There was no way he would even commit. Not to mention what her father and brother would do to Puck if they even went out on a date.
"You sure about this Noah?" Rachel asked. "I mean choosing us over the team. Means that you might get a slushy in your face every day."
Noah? Rachel can call Puck, Noah? But if anybody else called him Noah, then they get sacked! Unless you were a girl, then it's the biggest sneer on his face and malice in voice saying, "It's Puck." Puck looks over at the Glee kids. His eyes linger for a second or two on Quinn before coming back to Rachel.
"Bring it," Puck whispers.
"Wait, where's Finn?" Artie asked bring Cassidy out of her glowering.
"And David?" Kurt asked.
Just as Kurt asked that. David came strolling into the Choir Room. He had a bit of a sheepish look on his face. He gave his sister an apologetic look.
"You scared me." Cassidy said hugging her brother.
"You know me. I've always got to make an entrance." David said.
"What's up?" Cassidy asked. Something wasn't right. Cassidy could tell.
David glanced at Kurt before answering. "I'll tell you later."
(Library)
Jacob Ben Israel wasn't (despite what everyone says and thinks about him) stupid. He knew there was absolutely no chance in hell. That he be going on a date with the most beautifullest, up and coming super star Diva, Rachel Berry. But that doesn't mean he won't stop trying to prove to her that her true knight in shining armor, was none other than him! Jacob knew that compare to Hudson, he has a much of chance of winning Rachel's heart, as Puck does on getting on the Honor Roll. However, if Jacob could come up with the biggest, juiciest, story on Quinn Fabray and dig up some deep dark secret on Cassidy Karofsky. Then Rachel would agree to go out on a date with him.
And after that first date, Rachel will see that Jacob Ben Israel was truly the right guy for her to have as a boyfriend and quite possibly her future husband. No one would dare harm Rachel with Jacob as her boyfriend. He has a very good and popular blog going on. Not to mention he was in charge of the school's paper, website and every single school relate cyber social network. Anyone messed with Rachel. Then Jacob would just find something out about them and post it for all to see.
Which was why, Jacob was spending all of his free time (including lunch) to try and get as much dirt as he can. So far, he has found nothing interesting on either girl. Quinn, unfortunately, either has a very clean record or because of Coach Sue Sylvester. Every rotten thing that Quinn had ever done was swept under the rug. But Rachel did give Jacob an excellent idea. If he was to do, a full scoop on the whole baby drama of Quinn being pregnant with "supposedly" Finn Hudson's child. Then, what better way to make it so juicy and scandalously good (and have Rachel go out with him) then to find out who the real father of Quinn's child was. Well, that takes care of Quinn for his story.
Now, what about Cassidy? Getting some good dirt on the newest student, who just happened to be able to make it on the Junior Varsity Woman's Basketball team, and was in Glee Club. Not to mention, Cassidy just so happened to be David Karofsky's little sister. So, that just made it even so much better for Jacob to do Rachel's bidding on crushing her competition. Jacob knew that Rachel was a bit jealous of Cassidy being quite possibly being as good a singer as her, but Rachel doesn't have to worry about that. After all, everyone knows that Rachel was Mr. Schue's favorite student. So, all the solos of the New Directions are in the bag for Rachel.
Oh, what's this? Cassidy was a Ravenette? As in the all-girl show choir from the performing arts school in Baltimore? Well, well, well. Looks like Jacob was on the right track. Hhhhmmm, what else could he dig up on Cassidy and give it to Rachel?
(Locker Room)
Finn Hudson wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. His grades weren't that great and to be perfectly honest. He truly did just try to please everyone. Finn wanted his high school years to be great; spectacular even. Join the football team, make a tone of friends, be popular, get invited to all the cool kids' parties, and hang out with his friends. Graduate High School, get a job and get into college. That was all Finn's plan when he graduated Middle School and was about to be a freshman at McKinley.
But unfortunately, things didn't turn out the way Finn had planned. Sure, he was on top of the social ladder and he practically got away with murder. But Finn also knew that even though his grades weren't that great: That the teachers were just passing him because he was on the football team. But what Finn wasn't expecting or even planning on doing, was being a bully. Finn knew that High School was practically survival of the fittest and if you didn't fit in. Then you were a target.
Which meant a lot of the Glee kids got the short end of the stick as his Mom always said; Finn didn't understand it until now. When he joined Glee Club and was on the other side of getting slushied. But when he was the one slushing people, it was because he was on the football team. He had to! It wasn't his fault that Hummel made a spectacle of himself. Or that Artie was a geek. Or that Rachel really did try to stand out in all the wrong ways!
Ah, who was he trying to kid? Finn was a coward. His reputation of being popular, staying on top of the social ladder and being the big shot football player; that meant everything to him. Sure none of the Gleeks would understand what it was like. Having everyone admire you with stars in their eyes, having everyone part like that red sea when you walked down the halls and having the most beautiful and awesome girlfriend on your arm. No, none of them would understand what it meant to keep up and stay on top, unless you were there! And let's face it! Each and everyone one of them wants to be popular!
Which was why, Finn Hudson (unlike all the other guys) took the easy way out. He chose football over Glee Club. Finn was surprised that he didn't see his best friend Puck on the field. If Puck could pull off being in Glee Club then not being on the team; then Finn guest that made Puck more of badass then he thought. But Finn wasn't Puck. He wasn't a badass. Finn wasn't like Matt or Mike either. He couldn't dance even if his life depended on it. And Finn was definitely not like David. He didn't have another sport to fall back on. So, Finn walked onto the football field and was cheered and greeted by all of his "friends" for making the right decision: Choosing football over some stupid club.
"Can you believe it?" Bobby, one the football players said. "They chose the Loser Club instead of us!"
"I know man." Eddy, a freshman on the JV team said. "But hey. Hudson made the right choice. He's here."
Finn looked up at that. Did he make the right choice? He was going to be the starting Quarterback for the next game, he was still popular, and he still had Quinn as his girlfriend. Yep, all the important stuff that matters and then some when you're in High School. So, why does Finn feel like the high school version of Benedict Arnold, then?
'Because you chose your rep over your friends! That's why!' Finn's inner voice said.
It was true. Finn did indeed choose his reputation as the starting Quarterback over his friends in Glee Club. But he still had friends on the football team. They still talk to him. They'll still invite him to the all parties. But Finn also knew that even if Figgins disbanded the Glee Club, he would still try to be friends with Artie and all of them. So, why did he feel like it was the worst mistake he ever made?
'Because you chose the "right" team to be playing on! Your "so called" friends on the team don't care! If you're off the team or get second string. Then you're no longer cool enough for them to be hanging out with!' Finn really hated his inner voice of reason. What was it called again? His conscience? Yeah, that's right, his conscience. Right now, Finn really hated his conscience.
Finn didn't know how long his inner argument and monologue went on. But the next thing he knew, when he turned around after changing into his street clothes. The entire football team (minus the ones in Glee Club) was standing in front of him with two enormous slushies. Finn gulped and looked at them wide eyed thinking they were for him. He wouldn't know why. He made the right choice, right? As far as they're concerned, he did. So, why do they have two slushies and surrounding him then?
"Oh, don't worry Hudson," Azimio said. "These aren't for you." Finn breathed a sigh of relief. "Yet." Finn's head shot up, looking at Azimio in alarm. "You need to teach that homo a lesson. Stop spreading his gay around. So, what's it going to be, Hudson?"
Finn stood there not sure what to do. What did Azimio meant by Kurt needs to stop spreading his gay around? Yeah, Kurt was girly and had an unusually high voice for a dude. But he wasn't that bad. Once you get past the Divatude, the mocking of one's clothes, and all the high maintenance stuff. But still he wasn't that bad, right?
********** Glee Full Performance: Night Bully **********
(Finn)
Dear Kurt,
I am so sorry.
Can you ever forgive me for this . . . ?
The jocks helped Finn put on his Letterman Jacket to get ready for his bullying duty. Putting all those losers in their place! By a good old fashion slushy facial.
When they were done they knocked open the double doors leading to the gym aka the "Bully Training." They had the loser geek Jacob Ben Israel all set up for the double soak slushies he was about to get. They mercilessly tossed Finn through the doors. Making him trip over his own feet and catch himself before facing planting on the floor.
(Amizio)
Not the Debt Doctor with the hungry scalpel!
Here's my prognosis, will they live?

Doubtful.

Remember who you are...
(Finn)
I remember!
(Cheerios)
Remember what you did to him!
(Finn)
I remember every dying whisper,
Every desperate murmur . . .
I remember when I gaze upon him,
He looks just like you . . .
I remember, I remember!
I remember working every victim
With acute precision . . .
I remember every time I hold you,
My one true cold companion . . .
I remember, I dismember!
'Cause the Popular Status gives no prejudice!
90 minute delinquent gets the Bully Treatment!
Finn throws the first slushy at Jacob. It hits its target dead on. A nice bright blue streak from head to toe was there. Finn shakes the rest of the slushy out right on to his pants. This guy deserves it. All of the thoughs lies! All of the thoughs rumors he prints and has no guilty conscience of what he writes. Just to be popular.
Just to be popular. Just like you Finn. Just like you.
(Finn)
I'm the masked horror on your street corner!
Make your momma disown you!
Finn walks over and towers over a shaking Jacob. And just pours the other slushy on top of Jacob's head. This shouldn't make him feel guilty, but it does. This loser who has no regrets of what he writes about everyone deserves this. But just looking at him. The fear in his eyes. It's the same he gets from everyone in Glee Club when he first joined and tried to quit as soon as possible. It didn't make you a man. It didn't mean you have respect. It just made you a monster. And Finn couldn't be that any more. Not after getting a taste of what they go through. He couldn't do this to Kurt.
(Finn)
I'm a Night Bully!
I remember . . .

(Locker Room)
"Where the hell do you think you're going Hudson?!" Azimio demanded.
Finn was a few feet away from the Locker Room doors, leading to the hall. He couldn't do this. He couldn't do a double slushy to Kurt. Karofsky, yes. Finn never liked the guy, but Kurt. It just didn't feel right doing it to him. Kurt took ton of crap already from the guys just for being different. This was just another added insult to injury.
"I can't do this job. Find somebody else." Finn said walking right to the doors. He was about to push them open and walk out, when Azimio spoke again.
"If you don't do it. If you don't give the fag the super-size double slushy. Then you'll get a hell lot worse, Hudson." Azimio threaten.
"Are you threatening me, Azimio?" Finn asked whirling around facing the jock.
"That's not a threat, Hudson." Azimio said matter factly. "That's a promise." All the guys from the team were nodding their heads. Agreeing with him.
'Now, what do I do?'
(Hallway)
Finn didn't know what the hell he was going to do. There was a big thing out on Glee Club's Facebook page to wear waterproof wardrobe, because of a possible slushy marathon. Man, Finn so hated himself right now. Instead of trying to defend his friends. He was the one who came up with the idea to help keep Mr. Schue from leaving after all! So, why was he going through the hallway with a big slushy? Oh right, the whole it's either Kurt or you aspect. Aspect? Espect? Easpect? Whichever one meant the whole situation of the team kicking the crap out of him if he didn't slushy Kurt.
"You are not about to slushy on man Kurt?" Mercedes demanded from behind him.
Finn looked up. He was right in front of Kurt with Cassidy standing front of Kurt with her piercing trade mark glare and stance. And Rachel to Kurt's left when he was talking to her. Crap.
"Why wouldn't he? He doesn't care about us losers anymore." Rachel stated.
"He better not." Finn turned around. Karofsky was standing there, towering over him with same menacing glare as his sister. Whoa, talk about creepy.
Finn was then struck with an idea. Karofsky was here. What a better way to knock two birds with one stone. Finn never liked the guy to begin with and here he was, acting like a knight in shining armor for Kurt. Finn really didn't want to slushy Kurt, but he has no problem in getting back at Karofsky with a slushy: Which was why, with a menacing look on his face, Finn turned around and slushied Karofsky instead.
"I so been wanting to do that since you made fun of me for getting my growth spurt in fifth grade." Finn said with a satisfied smirk and walked off.
"Someone get David to a day spa, stat!" Kurt said.
(Football Field Bleachers)
David was on the bleachers looking at the team practicing. To say he didn't miss it, he would be lying. David's heart might be in hockey, but there was just something about football that he liked. He was starting to understand why his Dad wanted him to at least give it a try. It was exhilarating! He knew why Hudson made his choice and why he made his. David never once regretted his decision. He just didn't want Hudson to regret his or worst having to become someone that he wasn't in order to stay "cool."
"You okay, bro?" Cassidy asked walking up the bleachers. She sat down next to her brother. She knew something was up with her brother but she didn't want to pry. When he was ready, she would listen. "You miss it, don't you?"
"I'd say no, but then I be lying through my teeth." David said. "I just thought that . . . Hudson was better than this. I mean, I know the two of us aren't exactly friends but I thought that after him joining Glee Club. That maybe . . . He didn't care so much about what people thought. I guess I was wrong."
"You should go talk to him." Cassidy said.
David looked at his sister with a raised eyebrow. Talk to Hudson? He rather try helping Britney with her math homework then to talk to Hudson! The two of them never liked each other. David was convinced it was because he hit puberty long before anyone else in the class and Hudson was jealous that David was growing up sooner than he was. But then again, Hudson made the same decision this time around just like last time.
Then again, if David didn't go down and talk to Hudson about possibly coming back to Glee Club, then a lot of disastrous things could seriously happen. Especially, if Burt Hummel (Kurt's Dad) does meet Carol Hudson (Finn's Mom) this time around. Oh, boy. Yeah, Cassidy was right. If he didn't go down and talk to Hudson then things will really go downhill for the two future stepbrothers. David sometimes hated his sister, when she was right. And this was one of those times.
(Football Field)
David didn't know what he was going to do, once he was on the football field. He knew he needed to talk to Hudson about rejoining the New Directions but just didn't know how. He and Hudson never liked each other and they definitely never got along. But this was supposed to be his second chance. So, maybe he could try to extend his hand to Hudson for a truce. David wasn't expecting Hudson and him to be friends but maybe they could be teammates.
"If you're here to convince me to come back," Hudson said. David looked up and saw that Hudson was standing right in front of him with a serious look on his face. "Then don't waste your breath. I'm not coming back."
"Why not? Why not come back to Glee? You seemed to enjoy it?" David asked.
"Because! Because man, I need to be on the team in order to get scholarship to get in to college! This is the only way I have on getting out of here! Of not being a Lima Loser! Of . . ."
"Staying on top and being popular?" David finished. Yeah, he knew what that was like. It was the main reason why he chose to stay in the closet and to bully Kurt and the other Glee kids. Because that was what he had to do in order to stay on top and be with the people he thought were his friends.
"I not like you man." Finn desperately tried to make his point. "I don't have another sport that I'm good at. There's no way I'm good enough that someone's willing to give me a scholarship for singing. I mean come on. That's Kurt and Rachel."
"You think that the guys are going to stand by your back and the ones you think are your friends are going to continue to be your friends. When something happens to you and you're no longer the Starting Quarterback?" David asked. Finn looked at him, clearly he hadn't thought of that.
"What do you mean? Of course they're going to have my back. They're my friends why wouldn't they?" Finn challenged.
"Are they? If you're no longer the Starting Quarter because you got injured. Do you really think that they're going to continue to hang with you? Do you think that they're going to continue to invite you the cool parties? Do you think that after graduation, they're going to continue to e-mail you? Text you or call you? Hell, even message you on My Space or Facebook?" David asked. He waited a while to let everything he said sink in. He's been there. He was at one point where Hudson was: Willing to do anything to remain on top, to be popular, so desperate for approval by your own peers and friends, that you do anything to get it.
"Look man I've there. I was will to do everything and anything to get that stamp of approval by people, who I thought were my friends. Don't you remember how I was back in middle school? I was the number one bully." David said.
David hated to remember how he was back then. He was basically the tone down version of the monster that would later on be terrorizing the halls of McKinley and for what? To get the approval of the nameless faces that he would never say hi to in three years? To stay on top of the social when no one will care if you played football or was Head Cheerio when you get to college or start working in the real world? Boy, did David wish he had all this knowledge back then. But then again this is his second chance to get it right.
"What change? What made you want to say 'screw it' and just do what you want to do?" Finn asked.
"A number of things. But the big thing that got me to think was. Did I really want to be that guy? Did I really want to be the guy that everyone liked just because I was on top? Or did I want to be the guy who was true to himself and people liked me because I true to myself. Instead of trying to be something that I'm not." David said. It was partly true. But David couldn't go into details without revealing the fact that he traveled back in time. He just really hoped that Hudson did in fact rejoined Glee Club.
"Look man. I don't what the future holds for Glee Club. For all I know we could make it all the way to Regionals and come in last. All do know is, we could stand at opposite ends of the fence and stay enemies. Or you can come back to Glee Club and as team. We can do something really stupid that no one has ever tried before." David offered.
(Choir Room)
"So what do you guys think of my welcome back gift?" Finn said smiling shyly. He wasn't sure if the Glee Club would welcome back.
"Thanks for the slushies' Finn. There very delicious." Rachel said sipping hers.
"And loaded with empty calories. You know why the call them slushies' don't you? It's because you butt looks one if you have too many." Kurt said casting a quick glance at David.
"A toast to Mr. Shue. You were right about Football and Glee Club being a killer combination." Finn said.
"Thanks Finn. And it's good to have you back." Mr. Schue said drinking his. He stops after a few seconds putting his hand to his head. "Oh, man brain freeze. I can't imagine being hit in the kisser with one of these."
"You never been hit by a slushy before Mr. Schue?" Artie asked giving everyone an idea. All the members of the New Directions start to slowly step forward. All with the identical looks on they're faces.
"Alright guys," Mr. Schue sighs. "We're team."
"One. Two. Three!" All fourteen slushies' hit Mr. Schue straight on.
"Alright guys. Let me go get clean up. Then we'll take from the top." Mr. Schue said walking out the Choir Room to change.
It's time to try
Defying gravity
I think I'll try
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I am defying gravity
And you won't bring me down!
"Oh, oops! Sorry guys." Rachel said grabbing her phone and looking at the caller ID. "I'll be right back. I need to take this."
Rachel then darted out the Choir Room when the song went to repeat. She didn't want anyone to know who she was about to talk too. And it looked like he had gotten something very juicy for her.
"Hello, Rachel? It's Jacob. I think you going to be very pleased with what I got for you."
Little did Rachel know, she was being followed and the person had overheard her conversation with Jacob Ben Israel.
