Odd sat at his desk, the sun having just finished it's decent. The only light in the room coming from his desk lamp, only illuminating a small section of the room.

Odd threw his pencil in the ground, it's drop almost echoed in the silence of the room.

"I've been studying forever and it still doesn't make sense." Odd said, bringing his head down and placing both of his hands over his face, slowly dripping them as though he were wiping it.

Odd turned his hear towards his door and stared at it for a moment, a thought popping into his head.

'I know,' he thought, getting up from his chair, 'I'll ask Jeremy to help. I'm sure he's done doing whatever he was doing earlier.'

Odd walked the short distance to his door, reaching for his doorknob. As he began to turn it, he heard a strange noise coming from the hall. Passing it off as nothing, Odd opened the door to see at least 15 students beating at Jeremy's door, none of them taking notice of him yet.

"X.A.N.A..." He whispered under his breath, slowly closing his door as to not make noise.

'Better call Jeremy and see what's up.' Odd thought, pulling his phone out of his pocket and dialing Jeremy's number.

*Ring...*

*Ring...*

"Odd, we have a major problem!" Jeremy yelled through the phone.

"Yeah, there were like a dozen people trying to beat down your door. Would I be correct in assuming this is X.A.N.A.?"

"Yes, Franz messaged me seconds before they started to attack. Aelita and I are stuck in my room." Jeremy replied.

Odd was silent for a moment. "Well, do you have a plan?"

"Not at the moment." Odd heard a loud noise come through the phone, hearing a fainter version of it just outside his door.

"Odd, they are starting to break in!" Jeremy yelled.

Odd moved closer to his door and grabbed the knob. "Don't worry, I have an idea. Just want for my signal, then you and Aelita run towards the stairs and get to the factory."

"What's the signal?" Jeremy asked.

"You'll know it when you hear it." Odd said, opening his door slowly. The mob still hadn't noticed him, allowing him to sneak behind them and get to the end of the hall on the far side from the stairs.

Odd noticed a fire extinguisher on the wall and quickly but quietly grabbed it, unlatching the nozzle. Odd got a steady footing and yelled at the top of his lungs: "HEY X.A.N.A., COME AND GET ME!"

The entire mob stopped what they were doing, turning to face Odd. They stood there for a moment until the largest in the group yelled in a demonic voice: "Get him, NOW!"

The mass of students ran at extreme speeds towards Odd, but were all slowed as Odd sprayed layers of extinguisher foam all over the floor and at the students. As he continued to fill the hall, all of the X.A.N.A children had all piled up in one area, allowing Odd to easily cover them all in foam just as the last pitiful drop fell from the nozzle.

Jeremy and Aelita exited Jeremy's room, his door falling off it's hinges as he pushed it open. They both looked down the hall at Odd, signaling for him to come with them, when suddenly a hand stretched out from the form, quickly joined by many others.

Odd signaled for them to leave him, placing him in the role of the distraction. He threw the empty fire extinguisher into the foam and ran down the back hall, Aelita and Jeremy fast on their way to the factory.

Jeremy and Aelita ran through the forest, headed towards the factory as fast as their legs could carry them.

"Jeremy, do you think Odd will be okay?" Aelita asked, looking at the blond as they ran.

"I'm sure he'll hold his own. I'm just worried about the others, I have no idea what's happened to Ulrich, Yumi or William." Jeremy replied.

"Aah!" Aelita shrieked as she fell to the ground, having tripped on a rather large vine. Jeremy stopped in his tracks as he witnessed his princess fall, crouching down to help her.

"Are you okay?" Jeremy asked, greatly concerned.

"My leg..." Aelita said, attempting to stand, but was hardly able to pick her body up before she fell back down again.

Jeremy looked around for a moment, then back to Aelita. "We need to get to the factory, ASAP. Here, lean on me so you can take the pressure off your bad leg as we walk."

Jeremy stood up and helped Aelita lift herself up, using him as leverage. As she stood, she moved her bad leg up slightly off the ground and wrapped her left arm around Jeremy's neck.

They had only walked a couple steps when a sudden rustling echoed through the otherwise silent forest. Jeremy and Aelita turned to see what was making the noise, and were surprised by what they saw.

Okay, sorry for being a day late. This, sadly, doesn't finish the episode as I had hoped I could pull off, because I won't be making another post until Wednesday morning, meaning almost a week with a cliffhanger. Hang in there, it's certainly worth it. Don't forget to Review!
