Once the two were done with breakfast, Double D cleared the table and did the dishes, after planting a quick kiss on Kevin's head.

"Hey...Double D?" Kevin asked.

"Yes, Kevin?"

"Let's just...not...tell my parents yet, okay?"

Double D stopped what he was doing and looked up at Kevin. "Why do you say that?"

Kevin rolled his eyes and tried to hide his face. "You know...your parents are away all the time an' stuff...you know...I thought...maybe we could pretend to be friends for a little while longer..."

"...oh. I see." Double D caught on to what Kevin was implying rather quickly.

"Oh, yeah, right..."

Double D giggled. "Alright, Kevin. If you want to have a slumber party before you tell your parents, then I shall allow it. Why, we can even give each other makeovers! I know the exact shade of eyeshadow that will complement your forest green eyes."

"Shut up, nerd." Kevin playfully huffed, but he smiled. "When are we going to school?" he asked.

"We should be leaving right now! Come now, Kevin, I'll drive us to school." Double D finished up the dishes and grabbed his car keys.

"You drive? Ugh bae..."

"Oh, hush!"

Double D parked his car in his assigned parking space, which was pretty close to the entrance.

"How the heck did you get a parking space so close to the entrance? My parking spot is like, literally hundreds of miles away."

"Literally, hundreds of miles away? Goodness! Well with a parking spot that far away, you would most likely get here faster by walking from home! But I digress. I received this parking spot because I turned in my parking permit on time." he smirked. "If you turned yours in on time," he poked Kevin in the chest. "then you would have received a parking spot closer to the main entrance."

Kevin scoffed. "Alright, alright, next year we'll turn both of ours in together so maybe we'll get parking spots next to each other. I guess then we'll be...double parked!"

"That doesn't even make sense!" Double D sighed, but a small laugh still escaped. Yeah, he knew that most of his jokes were lame, but it was worth a shot just to hear that nerd laugh.

As they started to head towards the building, Kevin took hold of Double D's hand. A quiet "oh!" left Edd's mouth as he realized that they were holding hands in public, and a light blush dusted his face, but he was quite fine with it.

There were a few whispers and stares that were directed at them, and a few students exchanged money after seeing their hands entwined, but nothing menacing took place. Once Eddy and Ed saw the couple, they waved and beckoned to Double D. Nazz and Rolf did the same to Kevin. Kevin seemed irritated, but it was okay, he would see his boyfriend at lunch.

"Damn it, I guess our friends are calling us. See you at lunch?" Kevin turned to his boyfriend and gave a sexy half-smile, trying to melt Double D's heart. Double D just giggled into his hand.

"Why on earth are you looking me like that?"

"I 'unno. Do you like it? Does it turn you on?" Kevin tried to be sexy, but it just made Double D laugh even harder.

"Stop that! Oh, goodness. You're adorable, but I'm afraid it's almost time to go to class. I will see you at lunch!" Double D gave Kevin a quick peck on his lips as he walked towards his friends.

Nazz and Rolf approached Kevin after Double D left.

"Dude, you've got it bad."

"Ah, yes! I, too, see the amorous look in Kevin's eyes, directed at the Double D-Ed boy."

Kevin rolled is eyes. "Alright, alright, I know. Whatever, let's just get to class."

"Get to class? Already? Dude, there's still like, three minutes left until the bell rings. Are you like, feeling okay? Boy, Double D's really rubbed off on you!"

"Casanova Kevin is trying to impress his brainiac Ed-boy!"

"Shut up, losers!"

Despite being eager to see his nerdy boyfriend, Kevin tried hard to focus in all his classes. He didn't want Double D to be disappointed in him if he found out that Kevin hasn't been paying attention in class. Kevin was smart, he just had trouble applying himself and paying attention in classes. Luckily he had such a good friend (now boyfriend) to keep him grounded.

But it was a little hard to concentrate because he was just so happy that Double D was finally his boyfriend.

He listened to his history teacher talk about post-war America, and he tried to jot down dutiful notes. Some of these concepts he didn't really understand, so he'd ask his boyfriend about it later.

The bell rang after a few minutes of note-taking (and he did feel like a super nerd when he took notes, but he knew Double D would scold him if he didn't take any), and he rushed to the cafeteria to meet up with his boyfriend. He was so eager...Christ, he was such a girl sometimes. He needed to calm the fuck down. Double D wasn't going anywhere. He was in the cafeteria, sitting with his dorky friends, probably eating some strawberries or something.

He finally arrived at the cafeteria and found the Ed's table. He decided to sit with them today, and maybe Double D would agree to sitting with Nazz and Rolf tomorrow.

"Hey babe! Hey Ed! Hey, Eddy." He was going to try really hard to be friends with Eddy, because he knew that Eddy was very important to Double D, and therefore, Eddy was going to be important to him. Eddy Defense Squad. Protect Eddy at all costs. I mean he wasn't a bad guy, he was just really loud and he wasn't very empathetic...but he knew he cared about Double D and that was all that mattered to him.

"Greetings, Kevin! How were your classes so far, today?" Double D asked, sliding a few strawberries towards him. Heh, called it. He took a strawberry from the container, and then gave Double D a kiss on the cheek.

"Not bad, I think I'll need some help with history... what about you, Eddy?" he asked, trying to put an effort in his relationship with Eddy.

"Tch, boring as usual!" He took the bait. "I don't get sockhead's obsession with this place." Eddy scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Eddy, how can you be so crass when it comes to learning?" Double D shook his head. "Just thinking about all the knowledge that fills this place... it's truly wonderful!"

"Haha, what a nerd, am I right, Eddy? Ed?" Kevin remarked and Eddy and Ed both started laughing. "Yeah, you guys know what I'm talking about! Haha..." Kevin looked down at Double D and saw his glare.

"Oh come on, you know I'm just messing with you." he said as he poked Edd's nose.

"I'm well aware..." he grumbled as he started to eat more strawberries. Kevin took his bag of chips out of his backpack and started eating.

Double D eyed his potato chip bag. "Is that all you brought for lunch?" he inquired, concern showing on his face.

"Well, yeah, why pack a lunch when I can just mooch off yours?" he winked. Kevin dropped one of his chips on the ground, but quickly picked it up.

"I think it's really cool of germs to wait a whole five seconds before touching your food, right babe?" He asked his boyfriend.

Double D looked at him with an incredulous look on his face. Coming over the initial shock, he slapped the chip out of his boyfriend's hand.

"What on Earth is wrong with you? Do you ever pay attention while I speak or do you just zone out while you daydream about me?!" He cried. "First of all, there is no such thing as a five second rule, that is complete and utter garbage. Germs and bacteria start to crawl on your discarded food immediately, they do not care to wait five seconds while you pick it up. Honestly! And second of all, I don't even want to think about how absolutely disgusting this public high school floor is, and I wont have you ingest such a filthy piece of food. Honestly, Kevin, I would hope that you would take better care of yourself. "

"Heh, you care about me."

Edd rolled his eyes and tried to keep from smiling by biting his lip, but no avail.

"I suppose I do..."

"Alright already! Cut it out. Just cuz I don't care that you two are dating doesn't mean you gotta go and get all sappy about it, geez." Eddy crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.

"My apologies, Eddy! I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. " Double D said.

"Yeah, same." Kevin said. "Double D just cant get enough of me, heh." he smirked.

"Oh, be quiet!" Double D playfully swatted his arm.

The next week went by with much of the same events occurring, Double D and Kevin switching tables every other lunch period, Kevin going over to Double D's house for "tutoring", as he told his parents (although, Double D did insist on helping Kevin with his homework, as to not let him blatantly lie to his parents), and then waking up and doing the same thing the next day.

"What do you wanna do this weekend?" Kevin asked, sipping on some of his Mountain Dew slurpee as they drove home in Double D's car.

"Oh, I did want to see that new movie that came out...but I think we both have English projects to work on, do we not?" Double D replied.

"Yeah, those aren't due for like, another week!"

"You'll feel much better once your work is completed early, and it won't be hanging over your head all weekend. Trust me. Once we get our projects done, we can do whatever you want, I promise."

Pulling up to the Double D's house, Kevin noticed a second car in the open garage. Open? Garage? A second car? Double D's house? Did any of these words belong in the same sentence?

"Yo are you bein' robbed or something?!"

"Don't be ridiculous, Kevin! My parents...my parents are home!" Double D's face erupted into a grin. "Oh, I haven't been expecting them for a few more weeks, or a fortnight at the very least..." his face contorted into an expression of surprise, and then a frown. "Oh, curse my procrastination, I haven't done the chores for this weekend yet, and the house is absolutely filthy, filthy, filthy...oh, how embarrassing! What a poor reflection of my ability to handle basic, everyday housework and responsibilities..." he pulled into the driveway and parked the car.

"Babe, I'm sure it's fine. Just blame it on me if they drop the hammer on you." Double D wasn't paying attention to his boyfriend, he was staring off into space, brows furrowed, chewing on his bottom lip. He looked soo cute.

"Do you, uh, want me to leave?"

"Nonsense!" he cried, a bit too loud. "This will be the perfect opportunity to introduce you to my parents!" he smiled.

"But- I dunno, are you sure? Isn't this kinda, like, really sudden?" Kevin asked, a bit nervous meeting his parents, considering they've lived across from each other for ten years and he's never ever seen them before.

Double D sighed. "Well, I suppose it is...but I'm not sure when we'll get this opportunity again." Double D sighed again in frustration. "Oh, it is rather sudden but...well, it's now or never I suppose." He unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car. Kevin followed Double D to his front door. Edd tried to open it, and discovering it was unlocked, pushed the door open.

"Mother...? Father..."
