"Scanner Aelita, scanner Yumi, scanner William."
"Transfer Aelita, transfer Yumi, transfer William."
"Virtualization!"
The trio landed skillfully onto a light blue ice platform, their vision blocked by a massive cloud of snow hanging low to the ground.
"Jeremy, what's happening?" Aelita asked, her visibility limited to only a couple of feet in front of her.
"I don't know, but something massive is being rendered on Lyoko. X.A.N.A. has certainly put all his power to good use here; it appears to cover the entire sector. I'll do the best I can go eliminate it, but that'll be a long shot." Jeremy said, typing furiously.
"Well, it looks like we'll just have to go in blind." Yumi said, arming both of her fans. "Jeremy, how does the terrain ahead of us look?"
"The tower is straight ahead of you." Jeremy said, pausing for a moment. "Hey, that's strange."
"What is it Jeremy?" Aelita asked.
"I don't think I've ever seen this part of the Ice Sector. It's completely flat, even and has no obstacles" Jeremy said, Franz speaking up behind him.
"It would appear that X.A.N.A. has broken into the protected Lyoko base files. I would recommend they proceed carefully."
"You guys catch that?" Jeremy asked through the headset.
"Yeah, we heard him." William said, still moving around to see if he could find anywhere with better visibility. "I guess we should start making a plan."
—
"Odd, move!" Ulrich yelled as Sissi prepared to fire a massively charged electric ball at him.
Odd jumped as far away as he could, dodging the yellow sphere of electricity.
"We've been running around jumping for nearly half an hour." Odd said, panting. "I bet this would give even Jim a run for his money."
Odd looked over his shoulder as he heard a large board fall behind him. What he saw shocked him.
"Naomi, what are you doing here!" Odd yelled, running over to her. She sat curled up, her knees to her chin. She had previously been covered by a large wooden board, but she accidentally kicked it down.
"Odd... I was scared. Everyone was running and pushing, I just didn't know what to do..." She said, beginning to sob.
"Odd, behind you!" Ulrich yelled, a bright yellow orb flying towards Naomi.
Acting instantly, Odd jumped between Naomi and the ball, taking the full force of a super powerful shock. He fell to the ground, smoke rising from his hair and clothes, yellow jolts of electricity jumping from his body to the floor. His legs moved slowly back and forth for a moment before he became limp.
"Odd!" They both yelled, Ulrich rushing over to his wounded friend. He placed his hands on Odd's chest, not detecting any movement.
"Odd! Come on, wake up!" Ulrich yelled, attempting CPR to the best of his ability.
Ulrich looked back for a moment, remembering what it was Odd put his life on the line for.
"Naomi, get out, now!" He yelled. It only took her a moment to get up and run out of the building, allowing Ulrich to devote his full attention to Odd.

"So, we just hold hands as we walk towards the tower?" William asked, reassuring their plan.
"Yes. Hopefully we can get this done quickly." Aelita said, stretching both her arms out. Yumi grabbed her left hand, and William her right.
"Let's move." Yumi said, the trio beginning their blind trek towards the tower.
"Guys, you've got a welcoming committee, courtesy of X.A.N.A." Jeremy said, his voice heard through the entire sector. "That's interesting... It seems I can't see any specifics on the creatures through the storm. I'll keep working on a solution, but it seems like you guys have a real challenge on your hands."
"Thanks, Einstein, that really spikes our confidence." Yumi said, a laser shot flying past her as she finished.
"Get ready!" William said, demonstrating his strength in raising his sword high with just one had.
"Jeremy, how much further till we hit the tower?" Aelita asked, a laser hitting the ground in front of her.
"It's not very far, just about 100 meters away."
The trio's progress was faulted when a laser from above them hit William in the back, causing him to fall forward.
"Jeremy, do you know how many monsters we have on out hands?" Yumi asked, throwing one of her fans into the blinding white snow.
"I can't tell exactly how many, but it's somewhere between ten and fifteen." He replied.
"We can guess that since their shots are mostly coming from above, we either have Hornets
or Mantas." Aelita pointed out.
"So, can any of us still deactivate the towers?" Yumi asked.
"Yes, you all should be able to deactivate them." Jeremy said, Franz working on something in his head behind him.
"I bet we could make it if we just run. It isn't that far, and as long as one of us makes it we're good." Yumi said.
William nodded, although no one else saw it. "Sounds good, let's do it!"
A day late... *sigh* oh, wait, this is Code: Lyoko, it's French... *le sigh*
