2D and Noodle stood on the sidewalk, looking at the small island that held the park and Betty. "What do you know about her?" asked 2D. "Not much, I never talked to her, I was too busy trying to find a way out of here." said Noodle.

"How far did you get?" asked 2D. "No where, I found no clues on how to leave and when I tried to leave this place, I was teleported back to that damn backyard." grumbled Noodle.

"Wait, but I thought we go to a virtual school, it's Saturday here, isn't?" asked 2D. "It's ALWAYS Saturday here, 2D, it never changes, and for some reason, the people who are actually residents of the vault never notice." said Noodle.

The bluenette nodded, so things never change here, it's always the same. "That's so boring though, if nothing changes, then they're just existing, where's the fun in that?" asked 2D. "Exactly, I feel like I'm starting to go mental from being in here for so long." groaned Noodle.

"Then let's go talk to her, she may know how to get out of here." said 2D. The two went across the street and stepped onto the island. 2D saw Betty watering some flowers, whistling a tune.

She has short blonde hair in two small pigtails, what looks like black eyeliner, and the dress she wore was truly old fashion. It was a simple pink dress with darker pink buttons, she also wore white dress shoes with long white socks.

Betty stopped what she was doing and looked over to see 2D and Noodle. "Oh hiya, I was wondering when I'd get to meet you both, I thought I'd have to wait months like with her." giggled Betty. "Well hi Betty, I'm 2D, and this is Noodle." said the child slowly.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, 2D and Noodle, those names are a bit funny, but I'm not one to judge." said Betty. "We were wondering if you know a way out of this place." said Noodle. "What do you mean, the roads are usually the only way out of town." said Betty, confused.

"No, we mean this world, it isn't real." said 2D. "That's stupid, of course it's real, where else would we be?" asked Betty. "The Wasteland, look, we just want out of this place." said Noodle. "No, this place IS real." growled Betty.

2D and Noodle shared a look, why was Betty getting so worked up. "No, it isn't." said 2D. "Ah, why do you keep saying that, everyone else is happy with this, why can't you be." snapped Betty. "Everyone el-wait, you KNEW this place was fake?!" demanded Noodle.

The girl was taken back but smiled and starts laughing. As she does, her voice becomes deeper till it was a man's laugh! "Yo-you're not a little girl, you're not a girl at all." gasped Noodle.

"Heh, heh, hmm, yes, I'm no child, if you must know, my real name is Dr. Stanislaus Braun, I'm the Overseer and creator of the G.E.C.K.s." said Betty.

"So, YOU'RE the Overseer of this vault?" asked 2D in shock. "But of course, I've been here with the residents since the doors closed and they first entered their pods, that was about what I believe two years before the bombs fell." said Braun. "But, no vaults were ordered to close unless their was a nuclear danger, how come this vault shut early?" asked Noodle.

"Oh that was my own doing." said Braun. "What do you mean?" asked 2D. "I had sealed this vault up myself once I got the residents into the G.E.C.K.s." said Braun. "Why, they would have once the vault officially shut." said Noodle. "That is true, but then I would have had to listen to what those fools ordered, running stupid little tests and making sure no one died, blah, all so boring." said Braun.

"So, you shut the doors early so that you wouldn't have to take orders from Vault-tec?" asked 2D. "Exactly, it was easy since this was the last vault constructed, they were still installing some of the programs that would allow them to contact this vault, but due to me closing the doors early, they never finished the programs, thus making this vault invisible to any strays who wish to enter a vault." said Braun.

"But, what about the residents here, how can they not know this place isn't real?" asked Noodle. "Oh, well I've been erasing their memories, can't have my little toys gaining back their knowledge now can I?" asked Braun. "Toys, they're not toys, they're people!" argued 2D.

"Who do whatever I want, like toys, oh, but sadly I've grown bored with them." said Braun. He giggled and looked at the two.

"I know, how about we play a game together, it'll be a lot of fun." said Braun in Betty's voice. "Game, what game?" asked 2D. "Oh, just a fun little game, it's easy to, and if you guys win in my game, I'll let you go free." said Betty. "

First tell us what we have to do." said Noodle. "Oh, nothing too hard, I just need you to go to that kid's stand and beat him up, make him cry, it'll be SO funny." laughed Betty. "What, that's awful!" exclaimed 2D. "No, it's fun, oh, you two don't understand what fun truly is." sighed Braun.

"We KNOW fun, and what you just asked us to do, that's not fun, that's just mean." said Noodle. "Well, it's your choice, ether do as I ask or stay here, forever." laughed Braun. 2D and Noodle looked at each other and shook their heads.

"We're not doing it." said 2D. "Then I hope you have fun living here." said Betty. She smiled at them and happily skipped away.

"What are we going to do now, it seems the only way out is by listening to that asshole." said Noodle. "Ya, but how do we know he'll keep his end of the deal?" asked 2D. "That is true, so what can we do?" asked Noodle.

2D sat on the swing, trying to think. There had to be another way out. "Hm, if only we could shut this damn thing off ourselves, but we can't do that from inside a damn simulation." sighed 2D. Noodle nodded to stop and look at him. "2D, that's IT!" said Noodle.

The bluenette jumped as Noodle took his hand. "We CAN turn this place off." said Noodle. "What, how though?" asked 2D.

"It's like you said, this is nothing more than a simulation, and all simulations come with a manual over-ride, which can be accessed from in here." said Noodle. "Ya, but where is it?" asked 2D.

"That's sadly what I don't know, but it has to be here somewhere." said Noodle. "Hm, Braun would be the only one to know where it is, so he'd most likely hide it where no one would stumble onto it." said 2D. "Exactly, but the question is where?" wondered Noodle.

"Maybe someone will know, if Braun hid the over-ride anywhere, it's where the other residents wouldn't go, right?" asked 2D. "Ya, that's right, that's a good idea, 2D." said Noodle.

"Thanks, Murdoc has been rubbing off on me a bit." smiled 2D. Noodle stared at him, tilting her head. "Who's Murdoc?" asked Noodle.

"Oh, he's someone really important to me, I'll tell you more about him once we're out of this place." said 2D. The girl nodded and the two set off.

Someone here had to know where the over-ride was, and they weren't going to stop till they found it ether.

A/N: Well, Noodle and 2D have met Betty, who turns out to be the sadistic Dr. Braun. What will happen next, will 2D and Noodle find the Over-ride? Stay tuned and plz review.
