The Skid entered the Replika as it would any other, moving through the entrance and heading to the surface. As they breached the surface of the Sea, the gang was made aware of their unusual surroundings.
"Whoa... what are those?" Odd questioned, his face against the glass of his NavSkid.
"They appear to be... circuits of some kind." Aelita speculated.
The massive metal pipes were scattered throughout the Ice Sector Replika, every now and again a pulse of orange light would move through them. They seemed to have no pattern in layout as some areas had only one or two small pipes, while other would be covered completely with massive clusters of the objects.
"Jeremy, any ideas on what these are?" Aelita asked.
"They're probably just ways for X.A.N.A. to move energy around inside the Replika. With how cluttered and random it appears to be, I'd say he's in a rush to get something done before we found it." Jeremy said, inspecting the terrain on his map.
Jeremy caught a glimpse of something in the corner of his screen and quickly maximized the box. It was the camera in the factory's manufacturing area.
"Franz, come look at this." Jeremy said, calling Franz over to the monitor. "It appears that X.A.N.A. has finished whatever it is he was making."
The robotic arms used to create the contraption lie limp, their purpose fulfilled. What was left on the conveyer belt was a large rectangular object, a tad bit larger than a door. It was completely metal and lacked substance on the middle, a hole open through the entire object. Small orange and blue sparks were emitting from the device, it's design enough to stump the two geniuses.
"Incredible. I have no idea what it is, but I bet it has something to do with the base in Siberia." Hopper said, backing away sightly.
"Guys, better hurry up and dock at the tower. Something tells me we don't have much time." Jeremy said, getting an instant response from Aelita as she moved the Skid towards the only tower in sight.
"Preparing to dock." Aelita said, making the Skid level with the tower. "Ready when you are Jeremy."
Jeremy typed a few lines into the computer to gain control of the tower, it's aurora turning from the default blue to a leafy shade of green.
The Skid docked onto the tower, hovering a few inches away from it, draining energy from it in more massive quantities than usual.
"Activating new shielding system now. If this works, no one will need to stay behind with the Skid during missions." Jeremy said, activating the experimental program.
"Oh, cool!" William said, peering out as a wave of pink energy engulfed the Skid, surrounding it like an egg shell. "Impressive Jeremy."
"Why, thank you." Jeremy replied through his headset. "Now then, everyone prepare to energize."
Rings of energy surrounded the warriors as they were teleported away from the Skid and into the Siberian base. When they arrived, they were all surprised to feel a rush of cold air blowing onto them.
Odd looked up at the ceiling and noticed a gargantuan hole above him.
"No wonder it's so cold in here." Odd said, his tail swirling in a circle twice as he walked around for a moment. "This place sure has run down since the last time we were here."
"Sure has." Aelita said, agreeing with Odd's statement. "Jeremy, tell us where to go."
"Okay, for this it would probably be best to completely destroy the facility, considering that our previous efforts here have been futile. There should be a door along one of the walls; go through there and I'll give you more instruction." Jeremy said, updating his map from the last time they visited the icy base.
The door worked off a keypad password system, but it was busted enough that Ulrich and William could just pry it open. They entered a long hallway with dim lights that seemed like emergency backup lights in case of a power outage. Jeremy guided them to the end of the hall and to another doorway.
"Behind that door is where my readings show the most power usage. The supercomputer's hardware is probably in there." Jeremy said, beginning to unlock the protected door.
"Aaaaand, unlocked! Clear to enter guys."
The door slid open, but there was no supercomputer in the room. What was in there caused the entire gang to quiver in fear for a brief moment, taken off guard as they expected a routine trip.
"Jeremy, we've got a problem." Aelita said, charging up an energy field with her right hand.

Ooh, cliffhanger. Sorry for being a bit late and a bit short (but I did use the word gargantuan, so I'm sure that's worth something XD)
