"Where wouldn't Betty like us to go, you sure ask strange questions kid." said a young man. "Please, we're just curious." said Noodle. "Well I wouldn't know, Betty loves spending her time the park, she's such a sweet little girl." smiled the man.
This irritated the small girl, how would the man like know that the 'sweet little girl' was actual an old man?
"Never mind." sighed Noodle. The man nodded to her and went on his way. Noodle huffed and walked over to where 2D was sitting on the bench. "Ugh, it's been hours and we are still getting no where." sighed 2D. "Believe me, I know." groaned Noodle.
Hours, they've been doing this for hours. Well, they think anyway, time didn't seem to exist here after all.
"How is it that they know a lot on Betty, but not where she wouldn't let them go?" asked Noodle. "I don't really know, these people are ether really stupid or insane." said 2D.
Noodle agreed when 2D hung his head, hands covering his face. The child looked to the bluenette to quickly realize that he was crying. "How am I going to get out, I need to find Murdoc, he's waiting for me." sniffled 2D. "It'll be alright, we'll find a way out, Betty won't beat us." said Noodle.
2D wiped his eyes to smile a bit, Noodle was right, they WOULD get out. The two got off the bench and continued looking around the area.
As they walked, 2D saw an old black woman come out of one of the houses. She was staring at the two with a look of shock. "Hey Noodle, that woman is staring at us." said 2D. The small girl blinked and turned to see 2D was right.
"I think that's Old Lady Dithers, I've seen everyone avoid her, I think a few have called her crazy." said Noodle. "If everyone thinks she's crazy, then that may be good for us." said 2D. They walked over to her as the old woman put a hand to her mouth.
"You, you two shouldn't be here, here in this awful simulation." said Dithers. "Wait, you know this place isn't real, how, no one else sees it." said 2D. "Oh, I know about it all, Betty is really that bastard Braun, he's tried altering my memories like the rest but it won't work, now as Betty, he has everyone see me as a crazy person." said Dithers.
"That's awful." said Noodle. "No, what is awful is that this place is a nightmare, one we can never wake up from, I've seen what he's done to these poor people, creating holograms of people they lost, or killing them only to bring them back to kill them again later, it's a never ending cycle, I just want this to end." said Dithers, gasping softly. "We do to, we want to get out." said 2D.
"Miss Dithers, do you know where Bet-un, Braun would hide an over-ride switch?" asked Noodle. "Yes, you mean the fail-safe, I'm afraid not, if anything, he'd keep it where only he has access to it, somewhere no one would go." said Dithers.
"But we asked all the vault residents, they're completely clueless." said 2D. "True, but what about the holograms Braun has created?" asked Dithers. 2D paused, his parents, they weren't real.
"Thank you Dithers, come on Noodle, we need to go to my Mom." said 2D. "What, why?" asked Noodle. "She's not real." said 2D.
The two ran off with Dithers waving after them. "Oh please lord, please, let those two find the fail-safe and end this nightmare." prayed Dithers.

2D opened the door into the house he came in, letting Noodle walk inside too. "So, where is your holo-mom?" asked Noodle. "My guess the kitchen, this Braun guy has the women stay in the kitchens I believe." said 2D. "What an old world ass." said Noodle.
The bluenette nodded his head and they went into the kitchen. Rachel was washing the dishes, humming a soft tune.
"Hey Mom." said 2D weirdly. "Huh, oh hello Stuart, oh, who's this?" asked Rachel. "My new friend, Noodle." said 2D. Noodle bowed a bit, making the fake woman smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you." said Rachel.
She returned to the dishes and the two sat at the table. "Stuart?" asked Noodle. "Ya, Stuart Tusspot is my real name, but I don't go by it anymore." whispered 2D. "How come?" asked Noodle. "I'll tell you another time." said 2D.
They sat back up and 2D sighed a bit. "Hey uh Mom, where is it we shouldn't go in town?" asked 2D. "Oh sweetheart, I've told you a thousand times, the abandoned house is off-limits." said Rachel.
"Abandoned house, you mean the one that's falling apart by the road out of town?" asked Noodle. "Of course, that place is filthy and dangerous and I don't want my little Stu-pot anywhere near that place." said Rachel.
"Is it off-limits to everyone?" asked 2D. "Yes, well, not Betty, she goes in there all the time, course it was her who told us about the horrors in there, she's trying to get it cleaned up so that it'll be a safe place for any new families who move in." said Rachel.
2D and Noodle smiled at each other, they got it. "Okay, thanks Mom, we were just double checking." lied 2D. "That's alright." smiled Rachel. She kissed the bluenette's cheek and went back to her dishes.
Strange, they never seemed to end.
The two got out of their seats and left the house. "So, the old house?" asked 2D. "Of course, it's off-limits, but I bet Betty plays there all the time." grinned Noodle.
"Do you think Braun put up any security?" asked 2D. "Maybe, or he could have the fail-safe hidden inside somewhere." said Noodle. "Well then, we might just have to destroy it more to find the fail-safe." said 2D. "So long as we don't destroy it as well." said Noodle.
The two nodded and took off running. Passing people in a hurry as they headed straight for the old abandoned house. They were getting out!
A/N: And now 2D and Noodle have an idea as to where the fail-safe is. In the old house that no one but Betty uses...he could have been more sneaky about using the house, but then again, he never thought anyone would go looking for the fail-safe. Oh well, what'll 2D and noodle face inside the abandoned house? Stay tuned and plz review.
