Chapter Seven: Better late than never.

Hope all of you enjoy this chapter. This is dedicated to all of the people who have been reviewing on my story. Please tell me what you think of this chapter.

Allie's POV

"Wake up sleepy head!" I felt somebody shaking me as I was sleeping. This was not fair, I wanted to sleep just for a little while longer but whoever was beside me was constantly shaking me. I woke up slowly only to be greeted with emerald green eyes and I knew who they belonged to. It was Damien who had been shaking me and had been telling me to wake up.

"Well, well, well. Sleeping beauty is finally awake." He teased me.

I checked the time on the alarm clock beside me on my bedside table and it was 5.00 am sharp.

"Why must I wake up from my nap at such an early hour?" I complained.

"I've decided that you're going to go back to college." He replied.

Oh my god yes I'm going back to college, I've missed college to be honest and now I can start back to college and see my friends again.

"On: one condition." Oh here we go again.

"What is this one condition?" I asked.

"Don't let anybody touch you." He responded. For some strange reason I had a strong feeling that he had changed somehow, as if he had started to care about me a great deal.

"I promise, thank you Damien." I thanked him.

"You're welcome Allie, and please don't get into any fights today okay." He remarked.

I couldn't help but smile, he was allowing me to go back to college and I was thankful for that.

"Get dressed." He ordered.

"Is it actually Monday?" I questioned.

"Yes honey." He smiled warmly.

I yawned quietly; I had yearned to go back to college and to see my friends. I quickly rushed into the bathroom and brushed my teeth before hearing the door to the bathroom open slightly.

"No you can't come in!" I shouted.

"I thought you might need this." He growled handing me a hairbrush; I thanked him and took it off him, hearing him close the door behind him.

I gave my hair a quick brush and tied it back into a large ponytail; I walked back into my bedroom and noticed that some fresh clothes had already been laid out for me on the bed.

I placed on the pink undergarments and a strapless pink bra before putting on the light pink dress that was like a long top and placed on the black long leggings that covered my ankles. Finally I placed on a pair of white sketchers with pink stripes on them. I also had a black cardigan with buttons on it so if I got cold I could do the buttons up. I placed the black cardigan on and also placed a black coat on along with the black cardigan I loved this outfit.

I left my bedroom and made my way downstairs to see that Damien was there at the bottom of the stairs waiting for me, he looked very handsome, a white t- shirt, a black jacket, a pair of black trousers and shoes. His hair was kind of messy but in a way it suited him.

"Come on I don't want you being late for college." He spoke softly.

"What will I say to them about being off?" I asked him.

"I've already told them why you were off." He replied.

"What did you say to them?" I asked.

"I told them that you were very ill with a cold and that you suffered a sore throat and had a bad chest infection. They understand don't worry you're not going to get a warning or anything." He exclaimed.

Oh my god he was able to fool the people who worked at the college by telling them a lie. Nobody could do that, but then again this was Damien.

I stayed quiet and walked with him in a comfortable silence outside of the mansion and got into the limousine with him. The butler who was driving the car looked at me for a few minutes before starting up the engine. Damien and I both sat in the back as if we were both children.

It felt like hours to me as if we had been in the car forever. Eventually I had fallen asleep until Damien nudged me. I asked him what the time was, and he told me it was 9.00 am, I yawned getting out of the car, I realised soon enough that I didn't have my college bag or my notebook with me and within seconds I started to panic. One of the car windows rolled down and I saw Damien looking at me.

"Why are you worried?" He smirked at me.

"I'm worried because I don't have my notebook or my college bag with me; I know that may not mean anything to you but it means a great deal to me. Without my notebook I won't be able to concentrate or escape the real world in the college classes for a few minutes." I explained.

He smiled warmly as if he had found this quite amusing.

He turned back around and reached for something that was quite possibly behind his back. In no time at all he got out of the car and had given me a new college bag and a new notebook. They both looked very expensive.

"They're both very beautiful, when did you get them? You shouldn't waste your money on me." I told him.

He grinned cheekily.

"I got them a few days back, it was nothing." He answered.

I didn't know whether or not to be mad at him or not, instead of shouting at him I smiled and gave him a hug. I thanked him before watching him get back into the limousine and say goodbye to me.

Xx

I made my way into college and looked down at the ground to try to rub some sleep out of my eyes, not a good idea since I bumped into someone's back and when I looked up I couldn't believe who it was in the hallway and I felt quite guilty of actually bumping into him. It was Aidan.

"I'm sorry." I stuttered with the words. All I got in a response was a deep sigh as if he was angry with me but who could blame him? I had been so rude towards him and had rejected him on the day of our wedding day.

He walked passed me in the hallway when I was making my way to my Literacy class. I felt so weary as if the sleep wouldn't go away. When I heard my Literacy teacher speak I had been told to go and sit beside the one person who wouldn't speak to me, Damien's half brother.

A few minutes had passed since I had been told to move for whatever reason beside Aidan; I thought he wouldn't speak to me until now.

"Hello Allie." He said in a husky tone.

"Hello Aidan." I responded back.

"Who bought you the new notebook and bag?" He questioned.

"I bought them myself a few days back." I lied.

"There's no need to lie to me Allie we both know that you couldn't possibly afford a bag and a notebook that has good quality like that." He stated.

"A friend of mine bought them for me." I told him.

"Oh so you're dating a boy now that is into girly things?" He teased me.

"I'm not dating anyone." I rolled up my eyes.

"Really so does this mean I can sweep you off your feet and carry you off in style?" He teased me again.

"No it does not." I responded.

I heard him chuckle before speaking again.

"Hmm well if I cannot carry you off in style then can I at least have you for company just for a day?" He winked. Great he is now showing me his old habits again.

"No you may not." I hissed quietly.

"Aw thank you Miss Allie I can now have you for today, so when do we meet up with each other? Perhaps: at break time?" He winked again.

"You're such an idiot." I stated.

"Aw and you're such a cutie." He whispered.

"Will you ever shut up?" I complained.

"Will you ever go out with me?" Okay he is seriously getting on my nerves now.

"You're such a pervert idiot." I whispered.

"Oh but you love it Miss Allie." He nudged me playfully.

I was about to respond back to his statement when our Literacy teacher spoke to me.

"Allie Jenkins is there something that you would like to share with the rest of the class?" He sounded frustrated. But when I was about to answer Aidan answered for me.

"We were just saying how we love doing crosswords." He smiled.

"Yeah well would you be able to keep it down a bit?" Mr Barkley asked.

"Of course: Mr Barkley." Aidan replied back.

The teacher had gone back to teaching us about the population and we had been given crosswords about it until the bell rang, meaning it was break time. I tried to leave with the rest of the people but couldn't get rid of him because as soon as I had got up from my seat I felt two hands wrap themselves around my waist and the next thing I knew he had pulled me up so I was leaning against his chest.

"You're so annoying." I muttered.

"Thank you I practice every night for you." He chuckled loudly.

"Will you let go of me?" I felt fed up with this behaviour and yet I had missed it.

"Why don't you enjoy being near me?" He seriously wouldn't stop teasing me.

"You're such a sick, sick pervert alien!" I complained before he kissed my cheek lovingly.

Xx

I ambled towards the reception in the school only to see a woman who was prettier than me. She wore a lovely black jumper with a white t- shirt underneath it, a pair of black trousers, and a pair of black shoes. Her dirty blonde hair had been tied back in a messy bun. She had lovely dark blue eyes and a lovely angular face. She was obviously concentrating on getting something done until after five or ten minutes she looked up to meet my gaze.

"Hello, how may I help you?" She sounded pleasant enough.

"Hello I was wondering where I might find Mr Young?" I stated shyly.

"May I take your name? Please." She asked.

"I'm Elle; I'm the new girl here." I made another statement yet again.

"Oh it's nice to meet you Elle, I'm the receptionist Kayla, if you go down the hall and turn to your left you will see a staircase, go up the stairs up to the top floor and if you turn to your left it will be the fourth door on your left." She explained.

"Thank you." I thanked her.

I made my way into the hallway and decided to go up the stairs until I had reached the top floor, I turned left and knocked on the fourth door until a man answered.

"Come in." The voice sounded familiar. I walked into the classroom only to find no other person in the room other than Drake.

"Hello Elle." He smirked.

"Maybe I have the wrong room; I'm looking for Mr Young." I noted.

"No you do not have the wrong room, I am Mr Young." Oh my god Mr Young was Drake this could not be happening.

I closed the door behind me slowly before walking towards him.

"How can you be Mr Young?" I asked curious by this.

"I can be Mr Young because I can be." He answered.

"So you're my English teacher?" I asked.

"Yes I am, but I'm going to be teaching you maths and English privately. Here I will be your Art teacher." He explained gently.

"I can't believe this." I mumbled.

"Well you better believe it missy." He sounded amused.

"May I have a timetable please?" I needed one.

"Did Kayla not give you one when you were downstairs?" He questioned me.

"No she didn't give me one." I answered.

"Okay wait here I'll go and get you one." He told me.

Without another word he left the room to go and get me a timetable. I waited in the class patiently dumbfounded. I couldn't believe that Drake was Mr Young and I couldn't believe that I was going to be spending a few weeks in his house letting him teach me in the school and at his house.

Xxx

I looked up at Allie, we had Art next despite the fact that she had made a fool of herself in the church on our wedding day I would not be giving up on her. She was so cute when she was angry.

We made our way towards the dining hall and had our break there, what she didn't know was that I had a plan up my sleeve. Yes at first I didn't want to marry her but I had to, now I had failed to stop her when she had run away from the church and had refused me but I wouldn't fail again. I had to try and get her to marry me again. She didn't love anybody else did she? I continued to look at her when we were sitting at our own table in the dining hall having our break and I had bought her some food as well.

"Have you heard anything from my parents?" I heard her break the comfortable silence that we had been sitting in for a while.

"No I haven't heard anything from them, why do you miss them?" I exclaimed.

"Yes I do miss them; I wish I could see them." She admitted.

"You could still see them if you had married me, but it's your own fault now that you cannot see them anymore. If you had gone through the marriage you wouldn't be in this situation right now." I told her.

"If somebody hadn't hacked into my father's bank account, he wouldn't have to agree to your father's pathetic deal." She almost snapped at me.

"You're lucky my father didn't do anything to harm your parents after your departure and awful performance of the day of our wedding. You ruined it not only for me, your parents, and my father but also for yourself." I snapped.

"Well I'll be marrying somebody else soon." I heard her say.

"Oh really I would like to see this happen. Who is the guy? Is he another drug dealer?" I teased her.

"Oh don't worry you will see it happen and as a matter of interest no he is not a drug dealer, he is a handsome rich man who has better manners than you and your father." She spat the words out at me.

"Who is he?" I raised my voice.

"Oh come on you must know you spent your childhood years with him did you not?" She started to confuse me.

"Joe: the butler?" I guessed.

"No not Joe the butler." I heard her chuckle.

"Then: who?" I demanded

"It doesn't concern you." She responded.

"When I'm your friend, I think you will find that it does concern me." I warned her.

"Oh so we're friends now? All you ever did was bully me when I was in school, why should things be any different now? "She stated.

"I bullied you in school a long time ago because I wanted to be friends with you and things are different now since I'm more mature now. Now who are you marrying? Or going to marry even?" I questioned her again.

She didn't look at me I was about to snap until the bell rang meaning break time was over. We pulled our seats in towards the table and made our way back into the hallway, funnily enough we had Art next oh Allie would enjoy that, I told myself sarcastically.

When we had reached our Art class, we didn't speak to each other. I was not in a mood for talking to her. She had made it clear that she wanted to marry someone else so she could see her parents again but I wondered who was: the person she was going to marry.

We took our seats in the classroom, but before I took my seat I noticed there was a girl in the class that I hadn't seen before, she must've been new here, she looked so cute in my opinion. Her strawberry blonde hair had been tied back in a ponytail, she also had a braided headband that made her look very pretty, her eyes were lovely, a hazel brown colour, and she was wearing a grey jumper with a Dalmatian on it, a pair of blue jeans, and a pair of black shoes. On the side of the table that she was standing beside at was a a notebook. It was one of those tables at the back row, I am guessing she is new here because everyone knows not to sit at the back row only the popular rich teenagers sit at the back row.

I sauntered over towards her.

"Hey there, I'm Aidan." I offered my hand for her to shake.

"Hi it's nice to meet you, I'm Elle, and I just started here." She exclaimed.

"Oh this is Allie by the way." I exclaimed. Instead of shaking hands with Elle I noticed that she just greeted Elle with nothing but a dirty look. I felt sorry for Elle already she shouldn't have to put up with that kind of behaviour.

I walked closer to Elle and smiled before speaking to her again.

"Are you sitting at the back row? I think the middle row would be better for you." I pointed out.

"I like the back it gives me time to think, why what is wrong with sitting at the back?" She asked. I was going to give her my answer until the rest of the class came in and so did the Art teacher Mr Young. I sat down beside her until Mr Young had asked Elle to come over to him.

She had done what she had been told to do; she stood in front of the class near to where the teacher's desk was.

He introduced her to the class clearly seeing that she was shy.

"This is Elle Goulding, and she has just started here. Now I want everyone to be nice to her." I heard Mr Young say.

"Go and sit beside Deanna." He had instructed Elle to do. Deanna was the one sitting in the middle row, on the third table on the left. I hoped the new girl would be okay. Before she obeyed the order the teacher had given her, I noticed him giving her a timetable.

Xx

I sat beside the girl known as Deanna; I must say it was a pretty name. She was very pretty as well, she had long black hair that sat on her back, but I found something strange about her. It was her eyes, she had one dark blue eye and the other one was a dark brown. How is that possible? Are some people born like that? I wondered. She was wearing a dark blue cardigan, a light green dress, a pair of blue jeans, and some lovely blue laced up shoes.

"Hello." I heard someone speak shyly, it was Deanna.

"Hey." I responded back pleasantly.

"I'm Deanna, and you're Elle." She introduced herself shyly.

"Yeah I'm Elle." I replied back.

I was somehow cold in this part of the classroom; I didn't know why until I looked behind me and noticed that one of the windows were opened.

"Mr Young?" I put my hand up trying to get his attention. Goodness he was so hot. He wore nothing but a light blue shirt, a pair of black trousers, and a pair of black shoes. His muscles were amazing. He defiantly was very handsome. He was about to start the lesson until I had spoken.

"Yes Miss Goulding?" He turned his attention to me.

"I'm cold; may I close the windows please?" I asked him.

"No you may not it's warm in here." He answered.

"I'm freezing." I complained.

"Oh my god girl how can you be freezing? It's bloody warm in here." I heard one of the boys in the back row speak.

"I'm just cold." I repeated.

"Well I'm bloody warm!" I heard another boy shout behind me.

"It's cold!" I shouted.

"I'm fucking warm!" The chubby male shouted back.

"Mind your language both of you." I heard Drake, or should I say Mr Young interrupt us.

I sat back down on my seat again until I started to hear people whispering about me, I hated that, I hated this feeling because every time this happened I always wanted to hit, punch or even beat the crap out of them secretly. But I knew better than that so I just sat down again and did my best to ignore the idiots.

Mr Young sighed deeply as if he was now frustrated until he spoke to one of the guys known as Darien to close the window a little bit. Some of the boys wanted to complain but Mr Young made sure to give them all a death glare as if to say "Don't you dare mess with me." I couldn't help but notice Darien's looks.

He had dirty blonde hair short length, dark green eyes, and was about 6 foot 1. He wasn't as fit as Drake was but he was quite handsome. I noticed that he was wearing a Good Charlotte t-shirt and some black jeans with a chained belt. His shoes were laced up shoes already in double knots. Nearly all the guys including him were sighing deeply as if they were bored, tired or annoyed at something or someone.

After closing the window a little bit, Darien sat back down at the back row in the middle beside a brunette girl that seemed to dress like well, I don't wish to say this word but she dressed like a slut almost. She had her hair tied back in a bun, her top was showing the top half of her bra, and her skirt was quite short also she wasn't wearing any tights at all. To top it off as well she was wearing a pair of black high heels, seriously it's just stupid, and I don't get some girls these days.

I looked back towards Deanna to see that she had been given a piece of paper and so had everyone else, myself included.

"Now I want everyone to paint something from their imagination, it can be anything but it has to mean something to you." Mr Young announced.

We were all given brushes to use. To be honest I didn't know what to paint, come on think, maybe it could be your friendship that you have with Abbey I thought but that wouldn't work at all. I hadn't done art in a long time so I knew that my painting wouldn't be as good as it used to be.

Soon everyone including Deanna had started to paint something except for me. Drake had noticed this of course and had come over to me.

"What is wrong Elle?" He placed a hand upon my shoulder.

"Nothing, I just can't figure out what to paint." I admitted.

"Close your eyes but keep your mind wide open, the answer of what you want to paint will be there." He exclaimed. I nodded as if I understood what he had just told me.

I closed my eyes for a few minutes and concentrated on keeping my mind wide open and surprisingly what came to my mind was not what I had been expecting to see.

I was in a large forest surrounded by wolves, stroking them and in the area was a waterfall, and in the distance was a large mansion that somehow looked familiar to me, as if I had seen it somewhere before. The wolves continued to sit beside me and there was a fabulous sunset in the backround.

I opened my eyes and started to paint what I had seen in my mind, in my imagination. Once I had finished it Drake came over towards me.

"Very: interesting Miss Goulding." He stated. Seriously was that all I was going to get from him? He patted me on the shoulder and gave me one of his cheeky grins as if he was pleased with my work.

I watched him go over to Deanna and the other pupils, he complimented on their work. I had been intrigued by Deanna's painting though, it was a painting of what looked like a vampire holding on to a man, the vampire girl still had blood stained on her red vibrant lips, her blonde hair looked quite messy and yet she looked pretty, both of them were pale skinned. In the backround was nothing but blackness, it was amazing.

"I love your painting." I complimented her.

"Thank you I wish I could say the same about it." She replied.

"You should do more art like this, you are very talented." I responded back to her.

"This is just what I had in my imagination, it's nothing special really." She admitted.

When Mr Young had gone back to his desk, he gave us some homework saying that he wanted us to do a bit of research on old buildings or palaces on the internet, draw them and colour them; we had until tomorrow to finish them. If anyone failed to bring their homework in they would get a warning.

The bell rang meaning it was lunch time, the time did fly in when you weren't looking at it.

I was about to follow everybody else out of the classroom until Drake asked me if he could have a word with me. Oh great some fun this will be.

I closed the door and made my way towards him, he was leaning against his desk grinning away at me.

"What is it?" I questioned.

"Next time someone annoys you and you behave like that I will have to give you detention." He told me.

"Oh come on it wasn't my fault that I was cold, I wasn't the one that started the arguing anyway." I shot back.

"Elle I mean it, next time you will get detention." He warned me.

"Whatever." I muttered.

"Elle I heard that." He noted.

First day of college and it was horrible what else could go wrong? I sighed as I made my way out of the classroom, downstairs until I reached the dining hall hoping nobody would annoy me anymore for today.

Xx

I sat at one of the tables in the dining hall; Aidan really had got on my nerves today ever since Literacy he has not stopped pestering me. Seriously why can he not just accept the fact that I didn't want marry him? I didn't love him and I was never going to go through with the marriage. I don't know which one I prefer to be perfectly honest Damien or Aidan? They are both different and yet very hot. Damien says he is my true fiancé and has been ever since the day I had been born and yet I can't help but feel confused. Which one should I choose? Really both men were good to me and treated me well but I guess I would have to marry Damien even if he had been demanding for the past few days, there was something about him that was just so alluring, so tempting and made me want him.

I sighed quietly deep in thoughts until Aidan had brought me out of them with his stupid statements again.

"You're very quiet Allie." He stated.

"I'm tired." I responded.

"Go to bed early then." He suggested.

"I do go to bed early enough thank you very much." I started to get irritated.

"Really then why are you tired today?" He teased me again.

"I'm tired today because I have to listen to your voice and look at your ugly face." I raised my voice at him.

"How kind of you: to compliment me on my looks." He said sarcastically.

"Shut up and leave me be." I really did feel fed up with him.

Xx

I sat on an empty table on my own in the dining hall placing my notebook on the table and started to write in it. At times I would write poems or even my own little stories in it but apart from having Abbey as my best friend I also considered my notebook as a great source of comfort to me and so I began to write on one of the blank pages in my notebook.

Dear Diary

Today has been awful, I started my first day in college and hoped it would be great but it is not. Seriously why do people have to be so rude towards me? What am I suppose to do when I sit in a class that is so cold, just sit there and let my body turn to ice? I hoped I would be able to meet some new friends here but then again all I get is gossip and see people whispering about me and saying nasty things to their friends about me instead of saying it to my face. Honestly some people are just cowards, and they call me unbelievable and pathetic. I say they are the ones who are unbelievable and pathetic. Anyway I guess I'm going to have to go with the flow for the rest of the day and see how I go.

Elle

I quickly stopped writing in my notebook and closed it before putting it in my college bag, it wasn't anything special but at least I could carry my notebook in it. Once the bell had started to ring I knew that lunch time had come to an end. I checked my timetable and noticed that I had French next. I guess this should be interesting.

When I made my way out of the dining hall I couldn't help but notice the dirty look I was getting from Allie, seriously what is her problem? What have I done to her to make her give me a dirty look? Sometimes I wish I could've made a complaint about it to Damien, my master but then again I don't know if he would believe me or not since it would be my word against hers.

Then I noticed one of her friends with her were whispering in front of me, honestly girls that do that are so rude, they should know better.

I was about to make my way to my French class before I felt a large hand landing on one of my shoulder's I turned around to see that it was Darien. He grinned at me.

"Heya Elle, I'm Darien." He introduced himself pleasantly.

"It's nice to meet you too Darien."I felt myself blush as I made eye contact with him.

"This is your first day here right?" He questioned me.

"Yes this is my first day." I answered.

"Well it's good to meet you again." He smiled warmly.

"I was wondering do you know where the French class is." I asked.

"Yeah, I'm heading to that class now want to come with me?" He offered.

"Sure thanks." I replied.

He led me upstairs to the second floor; we turned to the left and stopped at the first door that said French on it.

He opened the door for me and stepped aside, holding the door open for me like a gentleman and allowed me to walk into the classroom.

There was a woman, I would say she was possibly in her mid-fifty's, she looked as if she smoked because of the wrinkles that she had on her face. She wore a white blouse, with buttons that looked almost like pearls, her earrings were white wee studs and she wore a pair of grey trousers and black shoes. The colour of her hair was amber red, it rested on her shoulders. I sighed stepping further into the class until I heard the door close behind me and noticed that everyone had their eyes on me even the teacher.

"Merci Darien." I heard her thank Darien for possibly closing the door.

"Bonjour: et qui pourriez vous ĂȘtre cher?" She spoke in French. I could understand the first word in French but couldn't understand what she had said after that. I looked at Darien who had come over towards me and spoke to me.

"She says who might you be dear?" He translated the French for me.

"I'm the new girl here Elle." I answered in English.

"It's very nice to meet you Elle." She spoke back in English. Thank goodness she can actually speak my language.

"I was testing you to see how your French was. Would you like to go and sit down beside Darien?" She pointed to the middle table in the middle row that had two seats at it.

I ambled towards the table that she had told me to sit at and sat down on one of the empty seats and placed my college bag in front of me at my feet. Darien sat on the left beside me.

"Thank you for translating the French for me." I whispered.

"No problem." He whispered back.

"Is your surname Goulding Elle?" I heard my French teacher ask.

"Yes madam." I called her madam since I didn't know her name yet.

"Do not call me madam, my name is Miss Bionche." She told me.

"Yes Miss Bionche." I responded.

"Now today class we will be learning about the history of Paris." She spoke in her strong French accent.

It was strange I didn't know anything about Paris only that apparently it was the city of love.

"Miss Goulding, what do you know about Paris?" She questioned me.

"Very little Miss Bionche, only that it is known as the city of love." I told her truthfully.

"My dear did you not go to school?" Oh great another question how am I suppose to answer this one?

"No Miss Bionche I never attended school." I stated truthfully.

"Good lord child, every boy and girl goes to school before they go to college, why in heavens name did you not go to school?" She sounded cross with me.

"Well my parents couldn't afford to send me to school." I didn't want to tell her about the situation that my mum and I had been in.

"So tell me how is it that your parents are not able to send you to school but they are able to send you to college?" She raised an eyebrow up at me.

"My parents didn't send me to this college, my boss did." I responded back truthfully.

"Oh so you are able to get a job but not able to go to school? Stupid: people."

"Miss Bionche I didn't come here to hear words like that about my family, about me, about the past or even allow you or others to question me about why my parents weren't able to send me to school. I came here to learn, we are good people Miss Bionche and I will not be made fun of here or let you or anyone here criticise my parents." I raised my voice at her before picking up my college bag and making my way out of the class. I heard her tell me to come back but I didn't listen to her I made my way out into the hallway until I reached the girls toilets. I stayed in there for a while; I couldn't stand people talking about my parents like that.

Yes my dad had left us with hardly any money when I was very young, and my mother who is now in a nursing home thank goodness is doing well. If Damien hadn't taken me in my mother would've probably died of starvation since we were that poor.

I heard the door to the toilets open and turned around to see who it was, it was Deanna.

"Hey are you okay?" She questioned me shyly.

"Yeah I guess so and you?" I responded.

"I'm okay, just concerned about you." She stated.

"Why are you concerned about me?" I asked.

"Well you left the class after lashing out at Miss Bionche." She answered.

"Could you blame me? She had no right to speak about my parents like that or even ask me questions in that manner." I retorted.

"Miss Bionche didn't mean to cause any offence I'm sure of that." I heard her say.

"I don't care it's still rude of her to butt into my personal life." I shot back.

"Are you coming back to class or not?"She asked.

"I'll be there in a minute just let me cool off." I stated.

"Okay." She left the bathroom to let me have my space. Seriously today was not my day at all.

Xxx

Again I ended up sitting beside Aidan, I found the subject on Paris quite interesting actually, and he looked quite bored actually sitting beside me.

"Is the subject of Paris boring you?" I asked.

"Oh and this is the girl who told me we weren't friends earlier." He rolled up his eyes as if he was more annoyed at me.

"Oh okay. Be that way if you must." I shot back.

"Shut up Allie and just leave me alone." He told me.

After that: the pair of us stayed quiet, we didn't say a word to each other. He continued to write down on a piece of paper about the history of Paris and so did I. However, I found it quite difficult write about the history of Paris since my thoughts were not on the subject they were more on my future with either Damien or Aidan. I guess I should probably end up marrying Damien.

When we had handed in our papers I realised that it was now home time, thank goodness I can't wait to get back home. I ambled out of the room and made my way downstairs and headed out towards the exit of the college towards the parking lot only to see a black limousine parked in front of a red Honda. I scurried towards the car and opened the door before the butler could even open his own door and sat down one of the seats before closing my door behind me.

I couldn't help but feel slightly knackered from today, I sighed until I heard Damien speak.

"How was college?" He asked me putting my seatbelt on for me.

"I guess it was okay." I responded.

"Okay what's the matter?" He raised an eyebrow.

"I just wish that your brother would be nicer to me." I stated.

"You mean my half brother not brother." He growled lowly

We stayed quiet for the rest of the journey, and I eventually ended up falling asleep until the butler opened my door for me. I thanked him stepping out into the cold air letting Damien lead me inside the mansion in the warmth.

When I heard the bell rang I knew that meant it was home time, I had left the bathroom and had made my way downstairs only to feel someone's hand grab me sharply by the arm I turned around to see that it was Drake. He dragged me all the way outside of the college until we came to a stop in the parking lot.

"Let go of me!" I demanded. He breathed heavily, as if he was some sort of dog that was about to fight another dog.

He took out some keys out of his trouser pockets and opened one of the car doors before actually throwing me in and putting on my seatbelt. He made his way towards the other side and opened the car door before closing it behind him and starting up the engine.

Seriously what is his problem? I thought as he reversed his car in the parking lot and made his way towards the exit of the school. I could tell he wasn't happy due to the sound of his breathing.

He even started to drive fast once we were out of the school completely.

"Will you slow down? You're going to get us both killed if we go at this speed." I shouted at him. But even when I shouted at him he didn't even flinch he just rolled up his eyes at me as if I had said something he found pathetic.

He slowed down slightly but not very much, his grip tightened on the steering wheel before speaking to me.

"Why did you walk out of class today?" He questioned me softly.

"What class today?" I asked him a question.

"Your: French class." He answered.

"I walked out of my French class because I found the French teacher offensive." I responded.

"Even if you found her offensive you shouldn't have walked out of the class. Next time do not walk out of a class stay and learn." He ordered.

"You're not my father." I pointed out.

"Yeah, you're right I am not your father, I am your teacher." He shot back.

"You're not acting like a teacher." I folded my arms.

"Elle, if I hear one more complaint from another teacher, student or from you I will personally put you into detention full stop." He warned me.

"Shut up and drive!" I lashed out at him.

He continued again to drive at fast speed, it really did make me feel quite uncomfortable and scared in a way. Did he know he was breaking the speed limit? But then again he probably didn't care.

We had driven for at least half an hour, maybe an hour or two until we stopped outside a gorgeous house it was big enough to be a castle in my opinion. Of course it wasn't as big as Damien's house was but it looked lovely.

It was a sort of peachy pink colour with lovely white doors and lovely brown windows. Drake had opened his car door and when I had taken off my seatbelt, I was about to open my car door but Drake had beaten me to it. He had got over to my side of the car in just a few seconds holding the door open for me like a gentleman would.

"Is this your house?" I asked him once I had lifted my college bag out of the car with me.

"Yes this is my house do you like it?" He answered back.

I nodded. The garden around the house was full of lovely flowers, and trees. I allowed him to lead me to the front door. I watched him turn around for a few minutes and pressed one of the buttons on his car key I'm guessing he had locked the car door by doing that. He turned back around so his back was facing me, I watched him take out another set of keys and turn one of the keys in the lock before opening the door.

I followed him into the house, the first thing that I saw in his house was the hallway it was lovely, the walls were white, the floor was a light-brown wooden colour covered by a long maroon carpet.

"Your home is lovely Drake." I commented.

"Thank you I'm glad somebody thinks so." He replied softly.

I continued to walk on, there were some pictures on the walls, and some of them were black and white and some of them in full colour. The ones in black and white looked quite old but in a good way, they showed a family smiling, a couple with a young boy probably about eight or nine years old. As I continued to look at the black and white ones, I noticed that there was only one picture of the couple together the rest of the black and white photos only showed the boy and father together. I also noticed as I continued to look at them, that the man got older as well as the boy. Until finally the last black and white picture showed only the boy who looked as if he was in his early twenties.

Curiosity got the better of me and I couldn't help but wonder if the boy in the old photos was Drake with his father. But then again I couldn't ask him because it was none of my business to be intrusive in his personal matters.

I looked at the full colour ones, and one of them intrigued me it was of a girl with long blonde hair, dark brown eyes and had a gorgeous pure curved face. She was dressed in a long white dress and was holding hands with Drake I am guessing. They were holding hands in a hallway, and were smiling together as if they were happy with each other. I wondered who the girl was, I wondered if he was married or engaged but again I had a fear of asking him since I didn't want to interfere with his personal life.

I was about to go and find my bedroom until I felt a large hand being placed on one of my shoulders softly. I turned around to see Drake looking at me as if I was something that he wanted to eat up. But his eyes said a completely different story as if he was sorry for earlier.

"I like the pictures you have here." I admitted.

"Really I've never had anyone taking an interest to them." He exclaimed.

"They're really nice." I stated.

"I'm glad you like them." He replied back softly.

"I think the black and white pictures are my favourite." I said.

"You like old pictures then?" He said surprised by my statement.

I nodded.

"Yes they must mean a great deal to you." I assumed.

"I guess you could say that. Anyway are you hungry?" He changed the subject.

"No I am not but thank you for offering. I do not wish to interfere but who is the girl here with you in this photo?" I pointed to the one where he was holding hands with the pretty girl.

I heard him sigh deeply, he looked at the picture then back at me.

"It's just a girl I knew from the past." I knew that wasn't really the truth; there was more to it than that surely.

"Please tell me." I insisted.

"Maybe another time Elle, I don't wish to discuss this matter with you or with anyone right now. It's a personal matter that is better left in the past and the same goes for all of the black and white photos that you see here." He explained gently but I couldn't help but think that something about these pictures made him sad in a way as if they were not just pictures but memories to him.

"Let's have some dinner." He suggested going into the kitchen.

I followed him into the kitchen, it was very spacious and very clean I must say, again the walls were white, the oven was black, so was the worktop in the center of the room and the other worktop that was beside the oven on the left-hand side had a lovely light brown wooden top and then had the white cupboards underneath it. I couldn't help but feel sorry for him in a way he was alone and yet he was trying to show that he wasn't bothered by those pictures at all.

After Damien and I had arrived at the mansion I remember going straight to bed for a long nap when I had woken up after sleeping for two long hours I woke up with Damien beside me smirking down at me.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked pleasantly.

"Yes I did thank you, how long have you been watching me?" I asked.

"I've been watching you for about twenty minutes." He answered me.

"You're such a cheeky git." I complained.

He chuckled at my complaint before claiming my lips with his own. I kissed him back before pulling away gently.

"You're such a cutie." He commented.

"Shut up!" I snapped.

He chuckled once again deeply, I loved the sound of his chuckle. I soon felt him tickling me under my arm-pits and I couldn't help but giggle and complain.

"No stop that tickles." I giggled happily.

"I'm glad to hear that." He smiled warmly.

He tickled me for a few more minutes until he had finally stopped.

"What do you want? Damien." I wanted to know.

"I want to go on a date." He admitted leaving me speechless.
