A/N: Sorry Earth 14 fans, I should have posted the first part on Monday. How about I give you two parts instead.
Cypher wants revenge against Robin, since he was the one who captured him. What better way to get revenge than to use the Wayne Family to lure the Boy Wonder to his doom.

Background information: Cypher was a corporate spy sent to brainwash three business leaders and make them commit suicide if they get awarded a contract to a government's weapons project. Cypher nearly murdered Lucius Fox before being foiled by Batman, Robin, and Jean-Paul Valley. He was sent to Blackgate Penitentiary. Later, he broke out of prison along with Clue Master, Electrocutioner, and Czonk. Cypher attempted to control them, however he was killed by Clue Master in the process. The reason that Cypher couldn't brainwash them was because they were wearing earplugs since Clue Master anticipated this.
In the comics Cypher is dead. I figured he didn't get his due. Maybe he didn't die, but was captured along with everyone else. And Cypher wants revenge on Robin (our Tim Drake-Wayne).
Prologue: Cypher's Revenge
Avery Twombey alias Cypher, now number 1248972, looked at the calendar in his prison cell. He reached up to once again, mark out another day.
'Three years, I have been here for three years, and so far, nothing has come of my inquiries. The corporation I had worked for denied ever knowing who I am. They have erased me from their minds and their records, all because I was caught by Batman and his sidekick. I was doing their bidding! They OWE ME! I will prove to them I'm no bit player. It's time to leave this hell hole.'
Avery reached under the mattress to find a small, rectangular package.
'Just as he said it would be,' Avery said to himself. 'I didn't know if he could do it. It cost me a pretty penny in cigarettes. Not to mention I had to do some things I wouldn't do for any man. It was disgusting, degrading, not to mention violating. I do not want to go through that, again.'
Avery opened the package. The brown paper covered a wooden box. Inside was a pair of glasses and a small earpiece with a microphone. He opened it and placed the device in one of his ears, and the glasses on his face. His previous pair had been broken and the earpiece confiscated. Avery grinned wickedly. With these two devices back in his grasp, he could once again control the minds of his enemies. He could seek revenge on the company that betrayed him, but that would only get him so far, and probably captured by Batman and his crony.
'No, this required a more subtle approach, not a sledgehammer.'
With his glasses and his special earpiece he could at least begin to hypnotize the guards.
'It's apparent, they didn't find my hideout,' Avery stated to himself. "And that is a plus for me. They caught me on site, which means my subliminal equipment is still intact. I can still use it to my advantage. Now to get out of this hell hole.'
Avery Twombey alias Cypher had been studying the layout of the prison. There was one place he could escape if he played his cards right. He could walk out of Black Gate without anyone being the wiser. All he had to do was make sure he got to the warden, and he needed to speak to a guard. To do that, he also needed a blind spot. And he knew just where to go. A carefully constructed plan formed in his mind. It was time to put it in motion.
'After I am out of this hell hole, I can begin to construct the rest of my plan,' Avery said to himself as he placed the earpiece into his right ear and his special hypnotic glasses on his face, and became Cypher once more. 'It may take some time, and I know which company I plan on taking part of my revenge on.'
"Wayne Enterprise celebrated their one hundred years in business today . . ." A newscaster said in the background as Avery Twombey began executing his plans.
