Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter

A/N: Apology for the delay, but this chapter was a pain to write. However I finally found a way to bring it together. Hope you enjoy it.

Dream Scape

Harry looked around and noticed he was stood in front of a small cottage. What surprised Harry was that the cottage looked just like the one his parents had used in Godric Hollow. Harry cautiously opened the small picket fence gate, and walked up the small path. Harry noticed the door slowly opened. There cuddling each other was Harry's parents Lily and James. "Mum, Dad?" Harry watched as both adults smiled down at him and then opened their arms. Harry didn't care if any of this wasn't real, he wasn't going to miss hugging both his parents. Harry ran into his mothers arms and held onto tightly. This was no trick, Harry was actually cuddling his mother. Harry then felt James hand rest on his shoulder.

"Come in Harry. We have a lot to discuss." Harry lifted his head of his mothers chest and wiped the few tears now leaking from his eyes. Harry then followed his parents into the small cottage. Harry looked all the way around him. He then noticed his Mum gestured for him to take a seat. Harry did so, but soon as his mother sat down, Harry cuddled up into her side. He felt Lily rest her hand on the top of his head gently.

"Its okay Harry. I'm here. You don't know how proud both James and I are of you. However we have little time and we need to talk to you about several matters. You also might have questions for both of us, but we ask that you allow us to finish first okay." Harry looked up into his mother face and into her deep green eyes before nodding. "Good James maybe you should start."

James looked at his wife and son sitting down on the sofa before sighing. "Harry there are several things you need to know. However the most important thing is to do with your scar. Firstly do you know what a Horcrux is Harry?"

Harry looked at his father blankly, before just shaking his head. He noticed James look right at him. "A Horcrux is a soul anchor that is created using dark magic. Anyone who has a Horcrux becomes immortal. Even if their body is destroyed, part of their soul is still anchored to this plain by the Horcrux, meaning they are not truly dead. Now Voldemort made several of these items, however I am prevented from telling you exactly what they are. There is one that I am allowed to talk about and that is your scar."

Harry eyes widened as he placed his hand over the scar on his forehead. Just as he touched it, he felt a small tingling. He Quickly pulled his hand away and looked over at his father. "Yes Harry. That night you defeated Voldemort was the night you became an accidental Horcrux. You see after Voldemort killed your mother he had unknowingly split his soul once more. When he tried to kill you, your mothers protection spell activated. This of course caused Voldemort killing curse to rebound on himself. However what he didn't know was a piece of his soul had left his body and latched onto the only living thing in the room, you. Your scar is a Horcrux Harry."

Harry lowered his head, he couldn't believe it, a piece of Voldemort soul was now trapped inside his scar. Harry looked at his father and mother with pleading eyes. "Is there anyway to get rid of it?"

Lily stroked her son head gently and pulled him further into her side. "There are ways to get rid of the soul fragment Harry. However they are all very painful. The first is to have the Goblins at Gringotts perform a ritual to get rid of the soul fragment. The other options is for you to die at Voldemorts hand. You see if he kills you then he will destroy the soul anchor inside of your scar, leaving you very much alive. Of course that option is risky, because once the soul anchor is destroyed then you are unprotected and Voldemort could quite easily kill you again."

Harry closed his eyes, why did everything have to happen to him. Realisation then hit Harry. "Mum, Dad, does Dumbledore know that my scar is a Horcrux?"

James lowered his head and closed his eyes. "Yes Harry he does. That is why he hasn't said anything to you yet, as he feels you are still too young, and the only way he sees for you to destroy Voldemort is to sacrifice yourself. Once Voldemort was mortal then Dumbledore would end his reign of terror. However the old fool doesn't know that you would survive the attack and that the only the soul anchor would be destroyed not you. This is why your mother and I have been given this opportunity, to inform you so that you can inform Dumbledore, so that instead of just allowing you to die, he can start to train and prepare you for what lays ahead. Now the next thing we need to discuss is the situation with all this female company you have."

Harry suddenly blushed as he tried to hide his face away from his parents. However he could see both James and Lily was looking at him seriously. " You see your family is not yet complete Harry. There is still but one girl left to join your family. Not too far down the line you will also have the Black title which means you will need another girl to provide for that line."

Harry groaned as he placed his head in his hands. This couldn't be happening. He already had Tracey, Hermione, Daphne, Katie and soon to be Astoria. Yet now he was being told that he would have to take another girl, this time for the Black line. "Wait, why do I need to think about the Black title. Sirius is still alive, so in theory he is still Lord Black."

James lowered his head. How do you tell your son that his Godfather was going to die this year. Harry had just got his Godfather back. James wished that his friend good live but it was his destiny to die and in doing so would give the title of Lord Black to Harry. What's more Harry's future Lady Black was not going to be entirely human. She was a quarter Veela. James turned back to his son. "Sirius will not live forever Harry, and when he dies you will be taking over. Now onto the third point. The Ministry, I know you mean well, but you are still too young to even thing about changing things. The more you try to Interfere the more you are giving the Ministry to use against you. Also Dumbledore was correct when he said you have been neglecting your magical education. I know as head of house you can get distracted with things but you have to complete your education as well. Not only that but you might learn a few things that could help you when you face Voldemort. Now your mother and I have said our part, is there anything you want to ask?"

Harry slowly stood up and then walked around the lounge area. He had so much that he wanted to ask. "I suppose the first question is. Why did you write up a contract between myself and Tracey Davis? I mean you and mum married for love right, so why could you not allow me the same opportunity?"

Harry noticed Lily was looking at James, who was trying to avoid her gaze. "Harry we did it to protect you and the Potter line. The Davis family were good friends of ours, also if anything was to happen to us then they were listed as one of your guardians. Had you gone to them instead of my Sisters then you would have grown up side by side with Tracey. The contract was also a way to keep our families aligned. You see one of the things you will learn later on in life Harry, is connections are very important in the wizarding world. It's not how many you know but who you know that will help you."

Harry nodded in understanding. Now that his mother had explained things, then they did make sense to him. Anyway he and Tracey had got on straight away. So Harry just saw the contract as formalities really. Harry turned back to his parents. One question that was bugging him was about Severus. "Mum what caused you and Severus to split ways? I know he was the one who heard the prophecy, and I know he was the one who asked Voldemort to spare your life. What I don't understand is what caused him to turn on you?"

Lily looked to James, who again was trying to avoid his gaze. "That is a question for your father Harry. After all he was the one who picked on Severus." Harry looked to his father eyes widened.

"Is that true Dad. You use to pick on Severus? Is that the reason he hates you? Because you bullied him."

James looked at his son. He could see the fire in those green eyes. They reminded him so much of Lily. Her eyes always glowed especially when she was in a foul mood. "Harry what you have to understand is Severus was a snake and I was a lion. The two houses hated each other and still do. It was natural for our house to single out one of our enemies just like they did with one of our own house. Severus gave as good as he got, it just wasn't one sided."

Harry didn't want to listen anymore. He had heard enough. "How could you Dad? How could you be a bully, after everything. I thought you would have been different and ignored the house rivalries. I have. Two of my closes friends are in Slytherin. No wonder why professor Snape curses you every time he sees me. So what did you do to make Mum hate him so much?"

James was doing his best to stay calm. However he understood where Harry was coming from. Thanks to his past with Severus, his son had suffered for it. "It was Severus own fault. He called your mother that dreaded name, Mud-blood. After that Lily refused to talk to him again. Some say that was what led him to follow Voldemort, but I argue with what he had around him, then there was only one place he could end up. "

Harry shook his head, suddenly Harry saw a light coming towards him. "No wait I have more questions. Please don't take me away no!"

Hospital Wing

Harry groaned as he opened his eyes. He was met with Madame Pomfrey muttering and waving her wand all over him. Harry noticed they were not alone. Around the bed was Hermione, Daphne, Tracey, Katie and finally Pansy. Harry tried to sit up only for Madame Pomfrey to push him back down onto the bed.

"Did I say you could move Lord Potter. Honestly the amount of times you end up in here and still you don't obey my rules. You only move when I say you can. Now everything seems to be in order. Although I suggest you try not to use any magic today. Your core is still replenishing. Now I will leave you in the care of these lovely witches." Harry thanked Madame Pomfrey then got out of bed with the help of Hermione and Tracey.

"Dare I ask what you did this time Harry? Professor Dumbledore came to get us last night and said you were in the hospital wing, something about a magical outburst and you almost depleting your magical core. " Harry lowered his head as Hermione berated him. It wasn't his fault that he had ended up in here, it was the headmasters. He had tried to make out that his parents dying had been a good thing and it had bough Snape to the side of light. Just as he was being helped out of the hospital wing, they were stopped by the towering figure of the headmaster.

"Ah Harry my boy. I was informed that you were awake. Would you mind coming with me. I am sure your lovely ladies could wait in the tower. If you so wish I will also give Miss Davis and Miss Greengrass permission to enter the Gryffindor tower."

Harry noticed his girls wanted to object, but Harry gestured to them that he was okay. After giving them all a kiss he followed the headmaster back to his office. Maybe this was the time for him to tell the headmaster what his parents had said about his scar. They silently approached the gargoyle who leapt to the side at seeing the headmaster. Harry then followed the headmaster onto the staircase and allowed it to revolve upwards. Soon they were both stood in front of the headmaster office. Harry gulped last time he had been here, he had destroyed almost everything. He waited for the headmaster to open the door and then followed him in. Harry noticed Dumbledore offer him a seat which he took. Harry then waited while the headmaster sat down in his own chairs.

"Firstly Harry, I apologise for what I said. I should never have used your parents death as a beacon for Severus salvation. It was wrong of me to do so. Also I do not blame you for what you did to my office, you had every right to do so. Now is there anything else you would like to talk about."

Harry paused before looking up at the headmaster. "Sir when I was in the hospital wing, I had some sort of vision. I met my parents and they told me a few things. One of the things they talked about was my scar. I know it is a Horcrux now, and I know Voldemort is not truly gone, and has other Horcruxes scattered all over the place."

Albus suddenly aged another 50 years. He was surprised that Harry had discovered Voldemort secret, and more to the point, he had discovered just what his scar was. Dumbledore had hoped to keep everything a secret until he felt Harry was ready. However it seems that time was now. Albus stood from his desk and walked around to Harry. "Yes it is true your scar is a Horcrux. I had hoped to tell you closer to the time of your destiny, but I see now that you already know about the foul things."

Harry paused once more, before looking up at the headmaster. "Sir do you believe that the only way I can get rid of the soul fragment is by sacrificing myself?

Dumbledore turned to Harry and lowered his head. "Yes Harry I believe that you have to die in order to render Voldemort mortal once more. Voldemort can't die as long as the soul fragment is attached to your scar. The plan was for you to sacrifice yourself so that when Voldemort killed you then he would also destroy the soul fragment inside your scar. I would then duel him and hopefully end his reign for good."

Harry lowered his head. So this is why the headmaster had kept his destiny from him. He was convinced that he was going to die at the hands of Voldemort. Well Harry was going to make sure that didn't happen. "Sir my parents told me that if I did allow Voldemort to kill me then he would only destroy the soul fragment leaving me unharmed. They also mentioned there was another way to have the soul fragment removed and that was for the Goblins to perform a ritual."

Albus sighed before turning to face Harry once more. "The chance of you surviving are slim, but yes there would be a chance. After all it was self sacrifice from your mother that saved you, so maybe if you did the same then you would save yourself. However the chances are little to none. As for the Goblins. It is true they deal with Horcuxes on a daily basis, but those are objects not living beings. There is no telling what the ritual could do to you."

Harry lowered his head once more. "Sir with all due respect but isn't that my choice. After all I am the one with a piece of Voldemort stuck inside of me. Should I not be able to decide how I want to get rid of it."

Albus turned his back on Harry and walked slowly back to his desk. He then sat back down and looked into Harry's eyes. "Yes Harry it is your choice, however I just hope you know what you are letting yourself in for."

Harry nodded his head in understanding he then looked up at the headmaster once more. "Sir if the ritual is successful and the fragment is removed. Will you be willing to train me and prepare me so that when the time comes for me to face Voldemort then I will be ready for him. After all you are the greatest wizard since Merlin."

Dumbledore smiled kindly. Indeed he was powerful, but even he knew his own limits. There were many wizards and witches in the world who were more powerful then him." I thank you for those kind words Harry. However there are many witches and wizard far more powerful then me, the only reason you don't hear about them, is because we British tend to keep things to ourselves. However if the ritual is successful then I will be more then willing to take you on as my apprentice. And prepare you for what lays a head of you."

Harry stood from the his chair. He then bowed. "Thank you headmaster. I will arrange for the ritual to take place over a weekend, that way it will not interfere with my studies. Now if you excuse me, I think I need to get back to my girls. After all I am sure they have missed me as much as I have missed them."

Dumbledore smiled once again. "Indeed my lad. Well I hope you have a restful day today. Due to your core not being fully replenished, I am giving you the rest of the day off. Now go as I am sure your girls have waited long enough to see you."

Harry again bowed before leaving the office. For the first time in years Dumbledore was smiling. He prayed that the ritual was a success, and that he would have the opportunity to take Harry on as his apprentice. However this time he wouldn't make the same mistake he did with his last Apprentice Tom Riddle.

A/N: There you go. Hope you enjoyed the chapter.
