A/N: Hello everyone! Exam preparation is still underway so updates will continue to be slow I'm afraid. Thank you very much for the lovely feedback on the last story, you guys seem to really like Finicky! We are back to some Morganders now as a Guest suggested that Greg asked Morgan to pretend to be his girlfriend. I hope you enjoy!

Summary – Greg asks if Morgan will pretend to be his girlfriend for his cousin's wedding. It starts off as a ploy, but Morgan starts to have second thoughts…Morganders!

Pretend Girlfriend

"Can I ask you a huge favour?" Greg enquired as he sat opposite Morgan one afternoon as she was eating lunch.

"What kind of favour?" Morgan asked sceptically; she'd been roped into a lot of unusual things since she'd started working in Las Vegas.

"My cousin is getting married and I'm expected to bring a date…" Greg trailed off and looked pleading, hoping Morgan would get the request.

She of course did "Really? That is the lamest way to ask a girl out ever!"

"I know it's cliché but I'm not asking you to be my girlfriend, you just have to pretend" Greg explained desperately "I'm the last one in my family not to be married and my cousin Jerka has always been kind of an ass to me"

Morgan frowned questioningly "So why do you even want to go to his wedding?"

"Because I want to show him how good my life is after all the teasing he did when we were kids." Greg explained "He likes to gloat, and he's always thought he's better than me."

"You don't need a girlfriend to prove you're successful" Morgan pointed out.

"Maybe not, but it helps" Greg argued.

Morgan sighed as she considered this for a moment. "Hodges asked me to do the exact same thing and now his mom and my dad are dating, do you realise how scarring that is for me?"

Greg couldn't help but laugh and Morgan glared at him dangerously; he soon realised this perhaps wasn't helping his case. "I'm sorry, but I promise nothing that bad will happen this time. Besides, are you seriously going to turn down a free trip to Norway?" he asked seductively.

"Whoa" Morgan said as she pointed her fork at Greg "You never said anything about Norway"

"Did it work in my favour or against it?" Greg asked nervously.

"Definitely in! I've never been to Scandinavia before, I've always wanted to though" Morgan replied.

"Oh, well then you'll love it. We could also go skiing or something" Greg suggested. "Most of the people at the wedding won't even speak English so you won't have to actually verbally lie to anyone. I'll deal with that"

"Great so I'll just look even more out of place" Morgan said "standing there not talking so people will think I'm slow or something"

"No they won't! It'll be fine I promise" Greg said, anxious not to lose Morgan now after she seemed so interested.

"So you're going to be my translator?" Morgan asked with a smirk.

Greg shrugged "I'm not saying I'm fluent but I can get us by"

Morgan bit her bottom lip as she considered the whole thing. She would feel really bad for turning Greg down, but she was cautious about lying to people she didn't know. However, she supposed it would be a good opportunity to spend some time with Greg.

"Okay" Morgan finally said "Okay I'll do it"

"Yes!" Greg exclaimed excitedly as he hurried around to Morgan and hugged her shoulders "Thank you" he said before planting a kiss on her cheek and hurrying out of the room.

Morgan blushed as she raised a hand to touch the warm spot Greg had kissed. That had felt surprisingly good…

It was the day of the wedding and Greg and Morgan were getting prepared in their hotel room. On the plane journey over, Greg had given Morgan a few basic details about Norway and his family. He had also tried to teach her a few key phrases which might come in handy, and it was fun and nice for Morgan to hear Greg speak his second language – it was very attractive, she daresay.

As for them being a couple Greg said he would figure out a backstory about their first date etc. because there would undoubtedly be some questioning and teasing, he just asked that Morgan went along with it. Morgan was still a little apprehensive about being caught out, but she did not want to let Greg down, and she supposed it could be fun. She was very interested to learn more about Greg's family and where he came from.

"You know, you didn't have to sleep on the sofa last night" Morgan called to Greg who was getting a shower as she was applying her makeup in the mirror. "It's a double bed…"

"I know, but I didn't want things to be possibly awkward. I just thought it would be weird if we came as a couple and then stayed in separate rooms" Greg said as he walked out of the bathroom ruffling his damp hair with a towel.

Morgan peaked a glance and saw Greg had only a towel wrapped around his waist, showing off his surprisingly toned body. Other than thinking he needed a little more meat on him, Morgan was overall impressed and a little flustered.

"I don't think I'd have minded" she said casually and Greg shot her a surprised look witch Morgan chose to ignore.

Greg fetched his suit and then went back into the bathroom to get dressed. Morgan did the final touches with her hair. For some reason she felt the over baring need to impress Greg and his family – almost like they really were a couple.

She tried to push the thought out of head. She was doing this as a favour for Greg and nothing serious was going to come out of it, she would just smile and shake hands and everything would be fine. Things would go back to normal between them…though Morgan wasn't entirely sure she wanted it to. She was so confused, she hadn't even realised she had these feelings for Greg until he asked them to be a pretend couple. However, Morgan knew now was not the time to question herself, she had a role to play.

When Greg finally came out of the bathroom Morgan noted how handsome he looked and she smiled at him warmly.

"What?" he asked nervously.

"Nothing, you just look very smart" Morgan said as she floated forward to straighten his tie.

"Oh, thank you" Greg said surprised "And you look very beautiful, I mean, you always do"

"Such a charmer" Morgan chuckled as she looked up at Greg and rested her hands on his chest for a moment.

There was a pause where they looked into each other's eyes before Greg cleared his throat and Morgan turned away.

"Are you ready to go?" Greg asked.

"As I'll ever be" Morgan joked as she picked up her purse and the pair left their hotel room as their façade couple.

The wedding ceremony had been a pleasant affair, and luckily Greg and Morgan had not been in any trouble so far. Although Morgan hadn't understand much of what was said Greg translated the important bits for her. They sat together at the back of the room; their arms interlinked looking very comfortable together even though it was just for show. They had little chance to interact with people then, so it was when they arrived at the wedding reception later when their frontage was put to the test.

Greg's mother, of course, was the first to start questioning. "Honey, you didn't tell me you'd found such a beautiful partner!" Rose Sanders exclaimed as lightly tapped her sons shoulder in reprimand. "He never tells me anything" she said to Morgan who just smiled.

"Mother…" Greg said dully with a roll of his eyes.

"Am I embarrassing you, baby?" Rose teased.

"Mom!"

"Oh hush, Morgan doesn't mind" Rose said as he waved a flippant hand at her son.

"No, not at all Mrs Sanders" Morgan laughed and Greg shot her a look saying don't encourage her.

"So tell me, how did Hojem ask you to be his girlfriend?" Rose enquired.

Morgan looked at Greg a little nervously but it seemed he was already prepared with the answer.

"Well it just sort of happened naturally" Greg said as he wrapped an arm around Morgan's waist and pulled her closer towards him "I knew when I first laid eyes on Morgan that I liked her as more than a friend and I was so scared she wouldn't like me back, but as it turned out all I had to do was buy her a coffee and a slice of strawberry cheese cake – that's her favourite – and ask if she wanted to have dinner sometime"

It was simple, believable, and Rose certainly seemed to buy it. "Oh, how sweet!"

"Yeah I…I was really surprised Greg remembered that was my favourite." Morgan said as she turned to look at him; the cheesecake thing was true "Not many guys bother to remember the small things about you"

"No, they don't, I'm not sure Greg's father even knows when my birthday is anymore" Rose teased.

"Erm anyway, mom, we should really go and mingle" Greg said as he took Morgan's hand, not wanting his mother's interrogation to go further or else they'd be there all night "I'll talk to you later!" and with that he started dragging Morgan through the crowd.

"Sorry about that" Greg huffed as he they headed to the bar for another drunk.

Morgan laughed "Don't be, your mom is nice"

"Hey, cousin Hojem!" a voice with a strong Scandinavian accent called behind them and Greg tensed.

"Here we go" he breathed before plastering on a smile and turning to face his cousin. "Hey Jerka, congratulations!"

"Thanks!" Jerka said as he pulled Greg into a headlock and ruffled his hair. Morgan couldn't help but laugh at the utter annoyance on Greg's face. "And you must be my baby cousin's bride, yes?" the Norwegian asked Morgan.

"Oh well, not bride just yet" Morgan giggled.

"Oops, looks like I've dropped you in it, Hojem" Jerka smirked as he finally released Greg who immediately glared at him as he straightened his hair out. There was definitely still childish rivalry between them, Morgan noted.

"Yeah, thank you, Jerka" Greg said bluntly as he repositioned himself beside Morgan and took hold of her hand – it felt right.

"Well, she is a beautiful one" Jerka said smoothly and Greg rolled his eyes. "Speaking of beautiful brides, here comes mine now. She doesn't speak English, I warn you"

"Hallo!" Jerka's wife , Greta, called as she approached them and linked arms with her husband. Jerka said something to her in Norwegian. "Ah!" she exclaimed and then said something else before sticking out her hand.

"Jerka introduced me as his cousin and you as my partner, she says it's very nice to meet you" Greg translated.

"Oh, nice to meet you too" Morgan smiled and they shook hands.

Greg translated for Greta who in turn asked something else. For the following twenty minutes Morgan stood and watched in silent admiration as Greg has a conversation with the woman in a language Morgan thought he spoke so well it could have been his first. After that, Jerka and Greta had to go and mix with their other guests.

"So, what where you talking about?" Morgan asked eagerly.

"Well, first off she asked how we met and I told her at work and explained a little about what we do. Then she asked about our first date and I said I took you to watch a horror movie even though I hate them, then we went for dinner at your favourite Italian restaurant – Antonio's, right? And then we went for a walk in the park and kissed for the first time under the stars, very romantic"

"Wow…" Morgan smiled. "You'd really do all that for me?"

Greg shrugged "Yeah, that's always how I've thought about our first date going"

"You've actually thought about that?" Morgan asked.

"Yeah" Greg said sheepishly.

"You know, after today I really like the thought of being your girlfriend, so how about when we get back to America, we make that date come true?" Morgan suggested.

Greg smiled at her warmly "I think that would be amazing"

If I remember correctly Jerka was Greg's Cousin who did the hunting videos in '73 Seconds,' so there you go XD Plus I've always liked to think Greg can actually speak Norwegian ;)

Please let me know what you think :) xx
