" Where am I?" He felt himself say as he opened his eyes, only to see a woman standing over him and smiling, offering her hand. He felt himself grab it only to realize who she slightly resembled.

"Eda? No, that can't be; who is she?"

" Welcome to the Boiling Isles, Caleb!"

"Caleb, there's that name again… Belos called me that name before… That was his brother's name and who I am a clone of. But who exactly were you, Caleb?...

" And wake up!" Hunter was jolted awake. He quickly shot up and was about to arm himself with his pillow when he saw Luz sitting on his bed.

" The heck Human!" Hunter yelled at her; He loved Luz, as any big brother would, but her concept of personal space and his were different and had much to be desired.

"Woah! You haven't called me human in forever! I low-key kinda miss it." Hunter sighed, running his hand through his hair,

" What do you want, Luz?"

" Oh, nothing; I just thought I would wake you up so you're not late for your date with Willow."

"That's today?" His mind had been so occupied by the strange dreams he had been having lately that he couldn't believe he nearly forgot about his date with Willow, especially after finally working up the courage to ask her out.

" yup, are you okay I'm surprised you forgot about it."

" Yeah, I am. Thanks, Luz."

" You got it, my guy! " She said, snapping her fingers and pointing at him before leaving his room with Stringbean trailing behind. Waffles flew over, landed on his shoulder, and chirped, nuzzling his cheek.

" Morning, Waffles," he said, petting the little blue jay Palisman on her head as he smiled at her; Hunter honestly didn't know if he would have another Palisman after Flapjack; he was content with carving Palisman for others, watching other witches find their partner for life brought him a lot of joy, as it reminded him of how Flap made him feel. Besides, why should he deserve to have another one? Even though he knew it wasn't his fault, he still felt responsible for what happened to Flapjack. But Waffles proved him wrong. He smiled, thinking back to that day he finished carving her, and she chose him; it was one of the happiest days of his life. He remembered her hopping into his hand and nuzzling under his neck, and he just cried. he loved Waffles dearly just like he loved Flapjack. He heard her chirp reminding him not to be late. " Right, let's get ready for my date. " Hunter said, quickly getting dressed, bolting downstairs and through the kitchen, briefly waving goodbye to Eda, King, and Luz running out the door. Waffles immediately changed into her staff form as they headed toward town.

" Where's Blondie going? I have never seen that kid in that much of a rush with a smile. It's nice Seeing him finally smiling and not looking so exhausted."

" Oh, he has a date."

" What?" Both Eda and King were shocked.

" Alright, kid, give me a scoop. Who's the special witch he's seeing?"

" You know her, name starts with a W and ends with a W."

" Well, I'll be. He actually asked her out. Good for him. He needs something positive in his life. The kid deserves it. Also speaking of which, King, you owe me 30 snails."

" You both seriously bet on if Hunter and Willow would start dating."

" Yup, And it looks like I won. '' Eda smiled widely. King just sighed and rolled his eyes.

" Awe, better luck next time, buddy. " Luz said, petting King on the head.

" Fine! Be right back. " He said, getting off the table and returning to his room.

Meanwhile, the Hunter made it to town and hopped off his staff. Waffles transformed back to her bird form and perched on his shoulder.

" Hey, Hunter!" He turned to see Willow smiling. She was wearing a Green and white sundress that Hunter had made. Hunter smiled back, ran over, and hugged her; this experience of having free time, and the freedom to do what he wanted, still felt new even after a year; it made sense, though, when you spend your entire life as a soldier; free time was a rare luxury back then for him; even on his one day off a year, Belos would find him something to occupy his time with, he never had the freedom to choose what he wanted to do on his one day off. " So what do you want to do? "

" Oh, uh, I honestly haven't thought about it." He laughed, ears turning bright red. Willow couldn't help but smile. Hunter was adorable when he was nervous. " I'm sorry, I was the one who asked you out. I should have planned something." He looked over at Willow, who was smiling at him, placing her hand on his cheek,

"It's alright; I planned something just in case, I made some food for us to share, and I thought we could have a picnic. I know the perfect spot!"

" That sounds amazing," he smiled.

" Great, Let's go! '' she said, grabbing his hand. He jumped on the back of Willows staff, and they took off. The Isles still looked beautiful despite the damage that could still be seen from Titan Belos Rampage and the Collector's messed-up game of make-believe. It felt nice that the Boiling Isles were at peace for once, and Hunter never felt more free. When they reached the spot, Willow mentioned Hunter was amazed by the sight. You could see the entire boiling Isles clearly; it was stunning, to say the least. He never realized how beautiful the Isles were, and Hunter loved it; being so far away from everything was nice. He helped Willow set up all the picnic stuff, and the two just sat, talked, and laughed for hours, enjoying each other's company without anything intervening. As the sun was setting, she was resting her head on his chest, and he was smiling, looking down at her; but he still couldn't get those strange dreams out of his mind. They felt real, Almost like memories of some distant past life. He was racking his brain for why this would happen.

" Are you okay, Hunter?" His thoughts were interrupted by Willow looking at him concerned.

" Just been having some strange dreams as of late."

" Oh, what kind of dreams? " She said worriedly.

" I don't know if I would even call them dreams per se." Willow sat up, looking at him.

" What do you mean?"

"They feel like memories of a distant past life I used to have. But I don't know anyone in them. Caleb gets mentioned a lot, and I experience them through my eyes. Are they his memories that I am now just seeing? "

" Well, Caleb was Belos's brother, but could it be a possibility you Inherited his memories? You mentioned before that you wanted to learn more about who Caleb was. Have you told Eda or Luz? "

" No, not yet; I still need to figure out how to word it. "

" Well, you worded it perfectly to me; why not tell them the same thing."

" You are different, though; you're so easy to talk to. I feel like I can tell you anything."

"Awe, that's sweet, Hutner, But I am being serious. You should talk to Eda. She may have some idea, or you could have King ask The Collector. He may know."

"I will figure it out one way or another." He smiled, looking over at her.

" Okay, just don't let it ruin your sleep. I'm digging the no dark eye circles look."

" I won't; they don't scare me. They are just strange. "

"Fair enough, Unfortunately, I have to go; Dad and Papa want me home before it gets too late. Hunter got up first and offered his hand to her; Willow smiled and took it as he embraced her tightly. Without thinking, he kissed her on the head. She looked up and kissed him on the cheek. Hunter's face went beet red, and she couldn't help but laugh as she took off on Clover. Hunter felt waffles hop on his shoulder and tweeted at him.

" Alright, let's get going too," he said to Waffles as she turned into her staff form, and they took off back home.
