Chapter 4 (Family matters)

"Where the hell is my daughter?" Marvin Higurashi yelled at the trembling mn infront of him.

"Sir, we are trying our best to find her," Jaken said as he carefully placed the documents in front of his boss.

"Well you are not doing a very good job. Are you? Find her NOW!" he slammed his hands on his desk and glared at his useless assistant "I want to know her exact location tomorrow!"

"Yes Sir."

Kagome looked at the piece of paper given to her by Ayame, she parked her car on the side and pressed the horn. After a minute of waiting, an angry Ayame bolted out of the gates and ran to the house across the street. The garage slowly opened and a familiar expensive car backed out, almost hitting the furious red headed girl.

"Get out!" she yelled.

A young man with a high ponytail got out of the car and faced Ayame. "What the hell is your problem?"

Kagome's eyes widened in surprise she watched as Kouga pushed her red headed friend not-so-gently to the side for his car to be able to back out. Ayame just threw herself to his car and continued yelling at him.

"What did you tell my father?"

"What are you talking about? Can you just get off my car, I don't want your filthy body touching my baby," he pulled her towards him. As he held her in his arms, he quickly pushed her away and cleared his throat.

The slightly flushed Ayame took a deep breath and looked him in the eye. "What did you tell my dad, that made him decide to bring me to a frkin psychiatrist?"

Kouga laughed, he leaned to his car for support .

"Didn't know it would actually work,"

"Tell him none of the things you said was true!

"well some of it is true though. You annoy me and you are a walking disaster," he gave her one last look and walked away when he noticed the car parked infront of Ayame's house.

"Hey Kagome," he waved and went back into his car.

The whole ride to school was silent, Kagome took a couple of glances to her friend. She chose not to ask any questions, if Ayame is ready to tell her anything she will do so.

Ayame took a deep breathe, she closed her eyes as she reached for the pendant of her necklace. Lots of things has changed between her and KOuga, the little kid he grew up with became the biggest jerk in the whole word. The little sweet boy who always made her smile was now the reason of her pains, when did everything change?

Kagome sat on the cemented floor and closed her eyes. The wind gently blowing on her face felt so relaxing. She was too preoccupied by her thoughts to notice another figure approach her. Inuyasha sat down infront of her, he stared at her face as she relish the peacefulness of the place. A small smile formed on his lips. She slowly opened her eyes and he quickly looked away.

"You are here" she said surprise

"This is my spot, I should be the one asking you why the hell you are here," Inuyasha scowled.

"Sorry, this place is just so peaceful. I wanted to get away from some people," she said. This caught INuyasha's attention.

He arched his brows "Who are you trying to avoid?" he doesn't know why he is becoming so curious about the girl infront of him.

"Well I don't know, I guess I'm just trying to escape from life. Have some time by myself and enjoy the peacefulness, away from the people who makes your life miserable," she let out a bitter smile. Even after she has finally gotten away from her parents, she still can't be fully free. There will always be an invisible shackle holding her back.

"Do you get what I mean?" she looked up to him.

"I know. It can get really tiring to keep up with those people, live up to their expectations and think of a way to not disappoint them. It just tires you out, physically and mentally, I just want to live a simple life and-" he stopped what he was saying and stared at Kagome in surprise. What is happening to him? He quickly got up from his seat.

"Sorry, I have to go now," he ran down the stairs and stopped. He took a deep breathe, he seriously is starting to lose his mind. Is he actually starting to like that girl, to the point to share his personal feelings?

"Hey watch where you are going," Sakura yelled

"Sorry, I was just spacing out," Kagome said

"I don't care," she pushed Kagome to the lockers and continued walking away.

Inuyasha just watched from the side. Since when did he start feeling bad for the new girl? A part of him wanted to pull her in his arms and tell her nobody can hurt you. He shook his head and sneered, he has gone crazy. He walked away and followed Sakura.

"Sakura," he pulled her in his arms and kissed her passionately. This is what it is supposed to be like, no feelings involved, purely just for fun. Isnt all relationship like this, so in the end nobody will get hurt. Nobody will suffer and get attached. Because once you let someone in, you will just end up broken.
