A/N: Here's a new chapter for you guys. BTW shanana2000 : Kagome is not a miko in this story. All the characters doesn't have any special abilities , they are just regular people.

"Without further ado please welcome Mr. Higurashi"

Kagomes eyes widen in surprise, she stared at the stage in fear and surprise. There was her mighty father walking confidently towards the middle of the stage. She studied her father's face, he has a contented smile, knowing that she is just somewhere in the crowd. After the lights returned Kagome looked around her surrounding, the suspicious shadows turned out to be her dad's bodyguard guarding all the exits of the room. Her father made sure she will have no way out.

Sango looked at the frantic girl beside her

"How did he find out?" Sango asked worriedly. Kagome shook her head terrifyingly. She diverted her attention to her older brother who faced her direction. She looked at him with questioning eyes.

"Sango I need to get out of here fast" she whispered. Her thoughts were disrupted when she heard her father speak again

"My son has been going to this wonderful school ever since he was young, even though I have tried a countless time to move him to a school near us he still wanted to stay here. I guess I know the reason now" Mr. Higurashi said "I would like to ask my son to come join me up here" he added

Souta tapped his foot in panic, he glanced to his sister for the hundredth time . He needed to think something fast. He would never let his sister be under their parents control again. Kagome will just end up broken if he let that happen. He looked at his friends who were busily chattering, still unconscious of what is truly happening. After hearing his name being called by his father, he came up with only one solution. He stood up from his spot but not without bending over to his best friend and whispered "Take care of Kagome" He stood up and started making his way to hell.

Applause were heard as soon as the students spotted him making his way to the stage. Mr Higurashi smirked at his son, he didn't expect anything less from him He stiffly shook his son's hand and awkwardly gave him a side hug. Kagome looked at the scene In front of her, she is now in a serious shit. She attentively listened to her father add more to his bluff while carefully planning her next move

"I will be sponsoring your graduation and vacation this summer" Everyone clapped in happiness, including the principal who was smiling in gratefulness

"To celebrate the success of this prestigious school, I will be having a party next month. I hope that everyone would come" he added while smiling sweetly at the crowd. "This party will also be a celebration for my son's and of course my daughter's upcoming graduation." everyone arched their brows in confusion

"You see my daughter have joined her brother into this school so, Kagome would you please join me in the stage" he said while smiling wickedly

"Kagome Hitomi higurashi , come forward please" he repeated in a demanding voice which she hated so much.

Inuyasha's eyes widen in surprise, he looked back and stared at Kagome like the other students. Her blue orbs were full of worries and fear, he didn't know what he was supposed to do. He is still trying to put everything together, it's like a fckinh puzzle where a piece is missing. Souta's last few words kept repeating in his mind 'Take care of Kagome'. He was in deep thoughts when he heard Miroku talking "Kagome is Soutas sister?"

"Holy shit" Inuyasha mumbled.

She bit her bottom lip nervously. She stood up from her spot in defeat and started making her way to her doomed when a hand grabbed her left arm. She looked down and saw Inuyasha's hand holding her arm tightly.

"I don't know what is happening right now but all I am going to ask you is do you want to be here or not?" he asked in determination.

He has no idea what is happening right now, but all he can do is trust his instinct. Kagome stared at him in conflict, he looked at him and back to to her father who has already spotted her. Everyone finally knows who she actually is, if she returns to her parents they will never let her leave her room again and she never know what they can do to her. Its either be locked down for life or go with the stupid jerk who broke her heart, she tried weighing her options and sighed. She stared at his golden orbs and shook her head and mouthed 'help'. That was all Inuyasha needed to continue with his last minute plan.

"Go keep walking slowly" Inuyasha said. Kagome looked at him like he lost his mind.

"Trust me on this one" his hand went down to her hand and he squished it lightly in reassurance

As he sees her body walking away. He looked at Sango "Let's do this" "What's your plan?" Sango asked, this time the whole gang joined in

"I have two plans in case the other one goes bad" Inuyasha stated

"What is happening anyway" Bankotsu asked in confusion

"I will explain everything later, first we have to get Kagome out of here " Sango said in rush

"I don't know what's happening either but plan A is run" he said proudly.

The group arched their brows waiting for him to add more. "That's my plan" he said while shrugging.

"You idiot" Sango hissed angrily, there is definitely no way out now.

"What is plan B?" Miroku asked "we have to run... Faster" Inuyasha said, he looked at his friends and added " and and stop the guards ?"

"That's better" Kouga whispered.

Inuyasha looked at Kagome's form slowly becoming closer to the stage. He stood up from his spot and yelled "Kagome RUUNN!"

She looked back at her friends as they made their way to the back exit and shielded the guards with their own body. She ran with all her might and felt a strong pair of arm guiding her

"This way " Inuyasha said

She looked back and saw her father's disappearing form shouting angrily at the men in black. The men then started running after them.

"Are you sure they will not find us here?" Kagome asked while panting

"I dont think so" he said while wiping the sweat on his forehead with the back of his arm.

They sat in silence , still trying to catch their breath. The men in black were in hot pursuit, but they managed to hide themselves and run to a safer place. They ended up in the rooftop at their secret place. Kagome looked at the guy beside her and back to the room. The place itself just brings back so many memories, this is were they had their first kiss and this is the place were she dreamt about her happy ending with him.

"So you're Souta's sister?" Inuyasha asked but more like telling himself.

He was so stupid to not notice what was happening before, that was the reason why Souta was so protective of her. He only wanted the best for his younger sister. He smiled in realization.

"So you are not his girlfriend" Inuyasha whispered and started laughing like a maniac. Kagome eyed the lunatic person on her side "What?" .Inuyasha faced her and smiled warmly at her. He held her hands and brought it close to his face

"So do you want to start over again?" he asked "Let's forget everything that happened before.." he trailed of, he let go of her hands and slightly scratched his head in embarrassment, he can never be a romantic fellow that can easily say what he truly feels. He exhaled loudly "Kagome will you go out with me?" he faced her and studied her face. Her face held no emotion at that time, she looked him in the eye with a blank look and then faced the other direction. He waited patiently for her to respond when he heard her laughing- bitterly. She looked at him fiercely

"You are joking right?"

"I am serious lets just forget about the past" he stated casually

"Do you think it is that easily? After everything that happened? You left me hanging and then you moved on to other girls. What do you think of me some kind of trophy that you just wanted to achieve and then just leave it in the corner when you're finally done with it?"

Kagome stood up and walked to the door, she stopped on her tracks when she heard him talk

"It was not like that, I just thought I wasn't the guy for you and you would be happy with someone else"

"You are no different than him" she spatted
