Kanon: Yuri Now and Forever

Author's Note: So i rewatched a bit of Kanon and just inspired me to create this yuri only story. Yuiichi will not be involved in this story. It will only star Nayuki as the main protagonist since she is the first heroine.

Please enjoy. This might be a bit easier to write than my Nayuki x Akiko smut fic I've been holding off for so long.

It's been a long day. Trudging through the snow as a cute girl with long blue hair dressed in a one-piece red school uniform with black thigh high socks on her legs. She has a large red ribbon attached to the uniform located on her chest. The girl, Nayuki Minase, doesn't mind the cold that much, but the heavy snow is getting to her.

"Ugh…I have to get home quickly!" Nayuki says to herself. She almost forgets that she's a great runner since she's been on the track team for as long as she can remember.

So she runs. And it takes her about 10 minutes instead of 20 toward her house and opens the door.

"I'm home, Okaa-san!" Nayuki calls as she kicks off her shoes.

A young woman steps toward the entrance with a gentle smile on her face. "Ara~. Welcome back, Nayuki."

The young woman's name is Akiko Minase. She is Nayuki's mother and she is very beautiful. She has long purple hair with a braid that hangs over her right shoulder. She is wearing a light pink sweater, white long skirt and ankle socks with some slippers on her feet. She looks very young for her age, so people mistake her for Nayuki's older sister. She gets that a lot and doesn't have a problem with it.

"Time for a snack!" Nayuki runs to the kitchen and washes her hands. She makes herself some toast and grabs the raspberry jam.

"Nayuki, dear?" Akiko says, stopping her daughter from what she's doing. "Why don't you try something other than raspberry?"

"What is it, Okaa-san?" Nayuki asks as she just now opened the lid.

Akiko goes to the cabinet and grabs a large jar with some yellow liquid in it. Nayuki gives a disgusted look.

"U-ummm…Okaa-san…?" Her eyebrow twitches as she tries to force a smile. "D-didn't I reject that offer before? You had me taste that thing and…"

"I don't think it's that bad," Akiko is all smiles as she opens the lid. "I added some stuff to make it more flavorful~"

'Even if you say that, it still doesn't make a difference…' Nayuki thinks.

The jam that Akiko has made…well…Nayuki herself cannot describe it properly. But the taste of it is so awful that it makes her want to puke. Of course she doesn't let Akiko know how horrible it tastes, instead she just told her that the regular jam is her favorite as of right now.

"Okaa-san, I just wanted to eat my snack with my favorite jam," Nayuki says.

Akiko blinks and smiles. "Alright. If you say so, Nayuki. More for me~" She has her own toast ready and spreads out the yellow jam onto the bread.

The sounds of it while she spreads it is giving Nayuki the shivers. It's sort of like slime but yellow colored. She quickly turns to her own food and eats it as if she's minding her own business. How can Akiko eat this kind of stuff?

After eating, Nayuki washes her own plate and starts to head upstairs.

"Nayuki," Akiko calls. "Be sure to clean yourself while you're up there."

"Yes, Okaa-san!" Nayuki replies back. "I'm doing it right now!"

Akiko giggles and heads back to the kitchen to clean up. Meanwhile, Nayuki closes the door. She suddenly feels like hyperventilating and rushes to her frog stuffed animal and hugs it tightly.

"Awwwww! That was soooo hard!" She screams into her pillow next. "Okaa-san smiling at me as she welcomed me home! I wanted to hug and kiss her! But I didn't!" She faces up and clutches her pillow. "Why, Okaa-san!? Why make me feel like thiiiiis!?"

She calms down after her rant and rolls to her side. She's been hiding a very personal secret from everyone, including her mother. She's in love…with another woman. And that woman is Akiko herself. Since she took care of Nayuki her whole life, having not seen her father's face or remember him at all, she found herself falling in love with her own mother. She does't know why she would even fall in love with the same gender, but she doesn't care either. All she knows is that she is in love with Akiko as a woman. So she kept it a secret.

"I wonder how long must I hold it all in…." She says softly to herself.

That Night*

Nayuki cannot sleep. Not because of her problem with falling in love with her mother, but something else. She is having a bad dream. She finds herself standing in front of a big tree with a little girl on top of a branch. Nayuki tries to call out to her that it's dangerous and she should come down. The girl does not listen. Strong wind blows and it is enough to knock the little girl off the branch and fall from it. The sight of it is horrifying. Nayuki is too far away to save her. The little girl hits the ground and Nayuki runs over to see if she is okay.

Nayuki finds herself crying over the little girl, afraid of her dying from that great fall.

"Noooooo!" Nayuki jolts up, awakening from her dream. She pants heavily and clutches her head. "The same dream again. Why? Why is it happening?"

About a few nights ago, she had that same dream. She just thought it was just a random nightmare. But the next night, the dream came back. And it repeated itself the next night. It was then that Nayuki realized that this dream might be trying to tell her something. But…what was it?

"Nayuki?" Akiko knocks on the door, startling her daughter. "Are you alright?"

"I-I'm fine, Okaa-san…" Nayuki replies as she looks at the clock. It's 2 in the morning.

"Did you have another nightmare?" Akiko asks. "May I come in?"

Nayuki pauses and nods. "Sure. You can come in."

Akiko lets herself in Nayuki's room and sits next to her. She gently wraps her arms around her daughter and pulls her close.

"Was it a nightmare again…?" Akiko whispers.

"The same one…." Nayuki whispers back.

"Oh, Nayuki…" The mother cradles her daughter tenderly. "What do we do to make it stop?"

"I have…no idea…" Nayuki replies. She is too scared to figure it out right now.

"Until then…" Akiko lets herself under the covers next to her daughter. "How about I sleep with you?"

"Ehhhh!?" Nayuki does not expect this. Although, deep down inside, she is really happy. "B-but…I'm not a little child anymore…!"

"It's okay~" Akiko's soft, gentle voice caresses Nayuki's ears. "I do not mind it at all. You will dream good dreams if someone as sweet as me is by your side, right~?"

Nayuki's face goes red from her mother's words. She is not wrong. It may help her get a nice sleep for a few days. The cute bluenette snuggles under the covers as well.

"Alright, Okaa-san~" she says with a giggle. "You can sleep with me~"

Akiko giggles as well. "It's been a long time since I slept with my baby girl~"

"Yeah…" Nayuki snuggles herself next to her mother. "It has been…a while…" She closes her eyes and falls asleep.

Akiko gently pulls her daughter closer and kisses her forehead. "Sweet dreams, Nayuki." She whispers.
